Fellow larger families, how often do u and ur partner dtd?

Well, id like to thank everyone for there replies.

I have read them all to hubby and he must have actually listened cause things have improved in the bedroom! YAY ;)

We have 5 kids and another on the way. We generally do it 1 a week. I'm so tired with the twins that when I go to bed I want to sleep. My hubby just has to pull his pants down and i'm preggo.

we only have 3, and i cant remember the last time lol.. ;) been a while

for me its hard my DS sleeps in our bed and my DH works all different shifts but since being pregnant i cant even find the need to want it so if we do its often telling him to pull them down and hurry up (omgosh i feel sooo bad now)

The thing is like someone else said if i wasnt pregnant now all it takes is for him to look at me and i fall pregnant but i guessi have to stop being so slack lol..

Im jealous ... those of you who are saying 3-4 a week that would be bloody wonderful. I want it alot more than my DH and if we do it twice a month im lucky! Doesnt do much for the intimacy of a realtionship waiting for the other person to decide on when he wants it .

We only have 3 kids, but my girls do a lot of activities and tbh dtd is the absolute last thing on my mind. I am so tired by the end of the day so sleep is my priority. I really do have to remind myself that DH needs attention. We average once a fortnight. When ttc we've done it once for all 5 pregnancies.

Gosh I feel really bad seeing how often others dtd..I am a hold out

Just thouht I'd add some info my gf was given by a fertility specialist. GF and Dh were dtd twice per day from the end of AF till O day for 18 months with no luck. The FS sugested they obstain from dtd 5 - 7 days prior to 0, then dtd approx 48 hours before O twice a day...You know it worked and they were pg the very next month GL

I'm another one that rarely ever gets any lol. DF is getting older and thinks he is starting to have issues so of course he is. We have only managed to DTD once this month and that's a good month lol. If it turns out I'm utd from that once it will be a miracle. We also have 2 littlies that end up in our bed every night so time is limited on that front (they wake up if we put them in their own beds). Hmmmm will have to start organising some us time I think

My hubby is one of 8 kids, so I'm just snooping around the big families thread, we've been married for a couple of years and have one, and one due in a couple of weeks , so not big by any stretch yet. it's really funny how different everyone is. some families have a mum who is only up for it a couple of times a month and some families have a dad who is. whilst other families have both mum and dad who are keen to go daily.... or more. It must be hard for couples who's sex drive doesn't match. Mine I think was always bigger than DH, but since having our first we've been really limited. we get pg straight away so wouldn't have to do it more when TTC. Anyway, I don't think having a big family impacts on the number of times you have sex a week. we've only got one and hardly do it at the moment, and someone else with one might do it every day. Same applies for big families, its just a matter of where you place it in your life.

Wow Serenity where do you find the energy?

I wish I could find mine. I am fully up for it once we have started but its the getting started I have problems with.

My DH bless him, calls me a tease if I bend over to pick up a s&#tty nappy.
Jarmie pants, saggy boobs, morning breath and bed hair he is always up for it. So its definately me that is letting the side down :shakehead:

we dtd after the kids are in bed so its like 7:30 and still early and we have also mastered the art of the quicky and make alot of use of the back shed ;)

Gawd. Not very often. Dh would like to more but with a baby still waking two to three times a night and four other kids and full time work and fibromyalgia ... I don't often feel like it. He must wonder why he bothered getting a vasectomy!

i think around 1 times a fortnight maYBE ONCE A WEEK on a rare occasion,,, dp is a shift worker ,, dd who is 1 sleeps with us and has to be still bf when wakes up ,,,im a slacker ,,, he use to have a high drive but the last 6 rs or so he has calmed down an doesnt hassle as much ,, gosh that sounds terrible but he use to wanna dtd morethen me nearly every night yrs go now ,, im happy the way it is atm,,
