Gee i finally get some time to introduce myself. Im Emma 28 and Rob 23 and we have 5 kids well i have 4 and we have one together. And yes number 6 is in the making . People think we are crazy and some look at us like we have ten heads but its all good cause i have a big mouth and i let them know how rude they are. I'm an at home mum of cause and some of my family would like to know when I'm going back to work, well the other side of the family. Just jealous that they cant afford to say home too!!! We are doing IVF and I'm right at the end of my first treatment now. Egg pick up is at 11am tomorrow so I'm a bit excited and a bit shighting myself. We are going to have TWO embryos put back on saturday or sunday depending on how things go. Two chances is better then one as far as i see it. We are doing IVF as i had my tubes cut and tied after my last baby. I had them reversed nearly 12months ago with no luck as yet. So i don't like to wait so full steam ahead with the IVF. Life is so busy but i love it. My babies are my hole world and without them I'm nothing. Anyway thats enough from me for now and i'll try and get on in the next couple of days,i'll see how i feel.
Take care Em XXX
Hi there Mum of 5. All the best with the baby making!!! I am crazy and planning for another one. I have always fallen pregnant easily but after my last miscarriage I am impatient as well so am starting to chart my cycle, etc which I have never done!! Hoping to fall preggers in the bext few months. Seven is such a nice number and will put us with other famous large families like the VonTrapps and the Waltons!!!! Keep smiling girls!!!
LOLOL Em, you don't "have ten heads", just seven so far!!
I don't know what is going on in our house but for some reason everyone, down to the baby, is super hungry and eating enormous amounts of food.
DS is 12 and nearly as tall as I am, so I expect it
DS age 10, hasn't hit puberty yet, but is big enough to be 12
DS who is 2, had 2 tortillas with cheese PLUS some chicken curry for lunch today...also a muesli bar (he got it from the cupboard) and some gingerbread. He asked for chocolate but I said no. Amazingly he is asleep now.
DD who is 1, had honey-Os, a banana, 3 wholemeal biscuits at a friend's house, some of DS's cheese tortilla, a few bites of curry, gingerbread, quite a big drink of water, and 2 breastfeeds. She's asleep too, and who wouldn't be after eating all of that.
Everyone has eaten up this chicken curry, which really surprised me. I put in lentils ("Mum are you sneaking in beans again?"), potatoes, tomatoes and carrots as well. so everyone had at least one thing that they DIDN'T like in it...but they still have eaten it really well. DS age 12, who is eating enough for 2 grown men, even had his on top of rice....and until about a year ago he was the ultimate "none of my foods can be touching each other" child.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
WOW Ladies, you have all been so busy!!! I have no idea where i have been while all this has been going on
Firstly welcome mumof5 its always good to have fresh blood in the group!!!;)
So sorry to hear about you and Dh soul, i hope you can work something out between yas! You are so right though 9 out of 10 times they just walk away and you get left to DEAL with everything! I hope that doesn't end up being the case for you.
As for the trampoline prices, yeah i just have to convince Dh to go the extra $100, our Physio lady has said it will be a great thing to have for mitchie with his floppy baby syndrome as it will help build the muscles up more once he can stand. So I am fairly certain he will spend whatever we need to to get one now!!!:p
Mind you it will still be a combined christmas pressie for all, and if we lucky he might be crawling by then and maybe pulling himself up on furniture:pray::pray::pray:
Omg storm so is Angels bday on the 25th???? I knew Angel and Mitchie were close but apparantly my maths isn't too crash hot as i thought she was the 23rd
I reckon that Dec should be a no go zone for birthdays!!!!! Mine is at the beginning of Dec and i always hated it as a kid.
Anyway i shall try and jump on again tomorrow evening and see how wonderful friday was for everyone
Yep Xmas day I also have Katie on the 14th. That's why I hate christmas, not so much in itself, just everything else that goes along with it, it is so hard to work out what's for xmas & whats for b'day & now with Angel *sigh* I don't wanna think about it LOL
I was wondering about the whole pressie thing too!! Oh well i guess thats life and as long as we make it special for them then i am sure they will deal with it!!! (one hopes)
Well i am going to attack the younger girls room this weekend, i went and bought underbed storage containers and one other toy box plus over the door shoe holders and some cupboard storage hangers! So if i am not back on here within a week you know i got lost in the mess:cryinglaugh::cryinglaugh::cryinglaugh:
I am determined to minimise and am trying to make it so that it wil be easy enough for them to keep clean:rolleyes:
Anyway wish me luck, i know i am living in dreamland really:wall:
Hope you all have a great weekend:)
have fun kat i done that a while ago and yeah got rid off heaps of stuff they dont use now it looks like a room it doesnt take long though for stuff to creep back in .my 9yr keeps everthing and i mean everthing she keeps little bits of paper thats she wrote on its so annoying anyway have fun and everyone else i hope u have a good weekendx
Kat, tie a rope around yourself hun, that way DH can pull you back out
I noticed the Christmas/birthday present discussion and thought I would throw my comment in. My birthday is Christmas day and growing up it was terrible. Especially as I grew older my presents became combo presents and to save money my parents usually (but not always) would wrap my present in Christmas wrapping paper but just give it to me separate and later in the day. I always felt I got robbed, it seemed to me my sister always had more presents on her birthday - not sure that was accurate but hey, perception is 9/10ths accurate. Anyhow, I don't mind it as much because the love of my life decided to always celebrate my birthday on Christmas eve so I get actual time devoted to my birthday and she and the kids do the birthday cards, presents, cake and singing on Christmas eve. I like it! :)
OK girls, I had several things i planned to do today:
1. Hem my jeans
2. Put lavender scented drawer liners in my chest of drawers (I have only had the liners sitting out for, oh about 6 months)
3. Put away the stack of bunny rugs that live in a corner of my bedroom, because DD is one and we don't use them any more
I've done exactly zero of those things, although I think I'd better get up and hem the jeans now. Either that or go knit the baby cardigan that I planned to have finished by the end of July, lol. Why do I ever think I have time to knit anything??
Hey there - I know what its like with the bedroom thing. My girls room always seem to messier than my boys and they keep everything they can!!! Any tips would be great. I still have 3 birthdays and lets not forget fathers day, to get thru before Christmas.
Hey girls have not been on in a few days had stuff to deal with here. Kat its all sorted we sat and talked and talked and I told him what I want changed and so forth, and we are back on track!!!!
