Hi everyone, i know i have been quiet for a couple of days now but i am half back!
Welcome to the newbies, you will all love this thread as you get a good laugh when you need it, an ear when you need it, a shoulder, a recipe! You name it its here ;)
Well i have had an interesting couple of days, starting on Thursday. I got up and (TMI WARNING) went to toilet and a big smear of reddish pinkish blood on the toilet paper, not good when you 8 weeks pg. Had pains in tummy too. So didn't take Mitchie swimming, and got into the doc. She ordered bloods and an ultrasound. Thank god DH managed to get off work to be here for me!
Had the bloods done and then went over for ultrasound at 2:40pm after spending the rest of the day in bed! I was so prepared for the worst that when he said i am going to need to do a transvaginal ultrasound , i was like yeah ok. Then he says there is DEFINATELY a LIVE feotus there but will hopefully see whats going on better this way!!!! Well i nearly burst into tears then and there!
So we do the internal ultrasound and even got to hear bubbies heartbeat, that was the most beautiful sound in the world at that point! HE couls see no reason for the bleading or cramping btu said bubby looked good andnothing appeared to be going wrong there !!!!
So then back to the docs yesterday and show her hte ultrasound results which she was happy with and then get blood results. HCG levels 18,500 and progesterone levels 41. THis is apparantly really good for an 8 week pg so makes me very happy. I even checked on the internet and yes levels are gret. Doc says this may just be onbe of those pgs where i will have to have regular bloods and ultrasounds to keep an eye on things! So if i still spotting and cramping next week i have to go back again.
At this point my CM is still got the reddish pinkish tinge and still getting some pains and trying hard not to stress!
Anyway thats my update
I hope you all have a great weekend and chat soon
-
OOOOOOhhhhhh i just realised that i have my avatar !!! Hav eto go and say a huge thank you now!!!!! How exciting!!!!!
I decided it would look a bit cramped with all my tribe in mine so i decided a heart for each child would be perfect!
I am so happy with my new me!!!!
Anyway i have to get dressed and go do some shopping, only for a costume for DD Tamika as she has to dress up as a fairytale something or other for her school concert!
Chat later if anybody comes on!!!!

Kat love the avie...you hot mumma you!!!! Glad that your little one is doing just fine in there..must have given you quite a scare though you poor thing. Gives you the opportunity to take it easy for a bit maybe??
Jess, its a difficult age isnt it. Hope the overnight stay helped things cool down.
Welcome frazaled....wow how exciting for you. Its nice having a gap in the ages though..feels like a first all over again! There is almost 7 years between Olivia and Sammy so it certainly felt new for us!!
Hello everyone else!! Im mostly lurking...i keep popping on while i am writing as essay..its a nice distraction. Glad to see you are all doing well.

Hi everyone :D
It's a beautiful day here in Melbourne today, DP and the step kids are going for a bike ride soon to make the most of it !!
Hope your all having a great day
-
Thanks Jo i love the new me too!!! Yep definately going to be slowing it down a bit! I guess i just have to be realistic, i will just have to focus on BF mitchie baking bubba and going a bit slower when it comes to running around after the others!! I have taken it very easy since Thursday, and will not be going full strap for a while yet! Things are looking up tough , no spotting since this morn so thats excellent!!!
Hey soul how is your weekend going?
Hi lea it was aperfect day here too,i hope they all enjoyed the bike ride.
I was extremely nice and took kids to see their grandparents on DH side for the afternoon.
It frustrates me that they can't travel the 25mins to see them but they can travel all over the countryside for everyone else!!! Anyway i was nice today, and as always they absolutely loved seeing the kids. IT just doesn't make any sense to me but oh well! SIL offered to have DS over there for the weekend so that she could take him to work and give us a break from travelling over & back all weekend. So that was an offer i was not going to refuse, she is lovely, she lives with their parents but they never offer. At least someone looks out for us occasionally!
How is everyone going?
Anyway i am off to bed now to get my much needed beauty sleep ;)
-
Hi all and thanks for the welcome
its great to chat to people with large families and to know that we all go through the same or at least somewhat simalar things and as for the going mad bit thats cool with me im not sure i would notice any differance as im sure im there already lol.
kat, i have a very close friend who had 8 heavy bleeds(like a very heavy period) in the first 15 weeks of her pregnancy they couldnt find any reason for it at all and her little boy is just beautiful, so hang in there its one of those things though you see blood and you just know thats not right so we freak a bit.
the 7 year age gape is a little weird but not that bad there is 15 years between me and my sister so i know can be ok,the thing that worrys me this time is the labour i know that seems silly after 5 but my last four were so easy and quick im just hoping this one will be that way to and everyone else going on about my age ok so im 35 but gee thats not exactly old anyone would think i was 60 lol .
well i hope you all have a great weekend mine is as always totally consumed with dancing my three youngest dance but at least it was nice weather to sit outside a hall for 10 hours( i shouldnt winge its a nice chance to catch up with the other mums)
as for teenage girls well with 2 already there and 2 on there way all i can say is good luck you will need it ,it is the most frustrating time of there life and therfor yours as well but there is light at the end of the tunnel or at least thats what i keep telling myself (hay we all need to dream).
night all

Wow some of you had a late night last night!!!
Thanks everyone i have not spotted again since yesterday morning so touch wood we are all good! Thanks fraz it always helps to hear what others have gone through, i guess you tend to feel less isolated. I had heard of others having full on periods all the way through. I think its just when it doesn't normally happen to you you tend to freak a bit IYKWIM.
But I am feeling much better today and will be doing my best to not over do it anytime soon ;)
Hey soul love the new pic on your sig hun! They are the most beautiful pics to have i reckon!
Hey anyone know what has happened to storm???? Haven't seen her for a bit. Maybe going crazy organising everything for her big move i guess!!!!
Anyway hi to all
-
yeah my son turns 17 feb next year. And I am still wanting one or two more so he will be most lilley 19-20 by the time I have the last, oh I hope he hasnt got his own kids by then!As I will be only 36 then when he is 19, crosses fingers!!!!!
Where is Blue I miss her!
Whats for dinner tonight?
-
Hi Soul ok i have major preghead here please forgive me. So when you 36 and DS is 19 that makes you how old when you had him??
Ok editing cause i just looked at your public whatever you call it! So you are exactly 9 months older than me and you also have a DS who is 16 therefore you must have been 16 when you had your DS too, is that right??? I know trust me to do it the hard way, but i know i was 15 when i conceived DS and 16 when he as born and he is a may bub so since your DS is 17 in Feb then youwould have still been 16 just , I think ??????!!!!!!!
Hey yeah so thats two missing from the thread blue and storm, maybe they have lives pmsl
AS for dinner i have not a clue i am about to go and ransack the freezer and then give mitchie his bath as he is getting grumpy! Its bath dinner and booby time for him ;)
-

Bout time you came back storm! Have you been busy with organising your move? How is it all going?
-
Jes thats why they say you can choose your friends but not your fam!!! It sux but hey. My DH fam are a lot like that too!!! You would think that they could put their defferences aside for the kids!!!!
Can't wait to see pics of jes's christening! Have you put them on yet???? At least you all had a great day, thats the main thing ;)
-
Yeah Kath, just sorting through all that accumulated junk that can be tossed!!
-
-
Who's moving? When we moved from NZ in Feb everything had to be itemized etc for the shipping company. I did the household, kids stuff etc in plenty of time but my DH was still trying to sort out his shed the day the container was being loaded! I was so frazzled!!!! We were off down the country to see family before leaving - I left my DH to sort out his own crap and took the kids and left - he had to hitchhike down, it was all too much for me to handle! I don't want to move again in a very very long time.
Thanks for all your congrats, I haven't told the kids yet, I wanna make sure my baby holds on this time. I am due 23 May 2008 so that will be about a month after you Kat but I do tend to come early.
-
I am moving!!
Sometime in October, it just depends when the building gets finished off.DH needs to build 4more bedrooms, cos it only has 2, foundations are already there, he just need to finish it.I dont need to take all of my belongings cos we have the essentials there already, it's going from a kind of holiday house to my house lol! I'm worried about DH & his shed too!!!!
Ohhhh all these pregnant women make me nervous, he he I am O'ing but have to hold off I dont wish to move in the early stages & be spewing while doing all the unpacking lol.
-
I would hate the thought of moving from here now too, all that accumulated sh*t that just keeps piling up! I can so understand the not wanting to be in early stages of pg too, i don't normally suffer from morning sickness but have been a bit wishy washy this time!
Cool halltribe well i shall send lots of stickyvibes your way too. Well my ultrasound said i wasnt due til 8th may but i know by my dates that that is wrong, so hopefully just a small bub this time :)
-
I'm also using it as a good excuse to chuck lots of old unused favorite toys from the girls, that are good for nothing!!Not looking forward to it either it's such a long drive :(
I just looked at your ticker Kath, OMG that has gone so fast.
-
Storm do you find that DHs shed bit by bit often ventures into our domain? Every now and then I take a box and collect all his junk and chuck it back in the shed. Whenever he gets a new toy it often shares our bedroom!!! I have had a waterblaster, spray unit, chainsaw and another powersaw of some sorts enter into our marriage bedroom at various times - they are so funny maybe I should bring in the toaster and vacuum to join the club!
-
Well least you will have heaps less junk by the time you get there! How far is the drive! Do you have a dvd player in your car? We put one in for the kids and now as long as i stipulate that I am choosing the movies there is complete silence until we get to our destination! Because we have the diff ages i just start with a movie ofr the littlies and then go up from there! It an absolute blessing!!!!
As for my ticker, I know hasn't gone fast! But i suppose i was about 6 wks when i found out! I wanted it to still count to Mithcie's first birthday with just bubba's details down the bottom but even if i set it that way this is how it would do it!!!! Beats me i feel like i am ripping mithcie off though by having it count down the pg IYKWIM! Maybe i will have to try to do it again!
Whats everyone had or having for dinner???? I got my DS to cook pies and veg tonight ;)
-
PMSL halltribe i would do it just to see if he says anything!!!!!! That is so funny :)
-
Are you still breastfeeding Kat. I found my kids weren't too keen on my milk once I was preggy again. I have just weaned my 1 year old boy and hes cool with that!
Yep, I think I may snuggle up to the cakemixer tonight, at least you can turn off its noisy functions!
-
Smash me in the head with a frying pan if I ever say I am having anymore kids! I am ready to pack my daughter of to my mothers tomorrow!
-
Oh soul, she can go with Dylan!!!& the mood Amy is in , can I through her in too?
ROFLMAO I think the vaccie would go good with the chainsaw :)
Ok the ridge is about 760k's from me, ewww too long in the car, yep we have a dvd player in the car, I usually turn it on when Zaacie starts the open it's for the buckle on his carseat. The bigger ones just sit & stare & complain every so often & Angel is as happy as larry , I'm the one to worry about LOL, once my ass starts aching, all hell breaks loose!!!!
