Hi,
Hope everyone had a good christmas. We had a very quiet Christmas at home, so the kids had the day to enjoy what they got for christmas. The kids were happy with what they got for christmas. We were all so tired from the heat that afternoon most of us had siestas.
We are having a quiet New Years Eve. We are staying at home and watching the fireworks on the telly. What are you doing for New Years Eve? Wishing you all a happy new year.

State: Vic
Children: Jack 9, Kate 6, Tim 4 nearly 5, Elizabeth 3 , Isabella 9 months and expecting baby number 6 in June(maybe?)
Pets: Dog- Molly, Cats- Bubbles and Angel
Interests: My children and I LOVE WORKING ON CARS
I haven't much planned for New Years..just sitting here on my laptop, checking out whos doing what and trying to stay cool.
-
Hi gang. Aren't there a lot of children underfoot this time of year, lol. Actually it's very quiet here this week as both the big girls are away staying with their dads for a bit. Lola comes back Wednesday & Ruth on 14th.
There still seem to be a lot of kids underfoot though, lol. There's one wriggling in my lap at the moment trying to make me clap my hands.
Michelle my mum always asks what I want for Christmas too, & what the kids want, & it's so hard to know what to suggest because you don't know if they'll actually get it if you're specific, so I tend to give more general suggestions like books & music. At least they don't create clutter in the house, & for me I always say wine & chocolate, he he. Mum gave us some money this year as well though, so we're plotting & scheming what best to spend it on. Probably something for the kitchen. The big girls have cash & vouchers to spend too, so I need to plan what to 'guide' them towards when we go shopping.
Michelle C, lol we could probably start a whole thread on Target dramas preceding Christmas. I really feel sorry for the staff there sometimes. Poor Jayden getting stage fright, hope he enjoyed the concert anyway.
Suzie hope you enjoyed the Christmas lights. DH refuses to go look at any since a couple of years ago we drove to the Ivanhoe one & there was such a queue in the car it wasn't worth it. The go seems to be to park somewhere & walk it at that one, but the parking looked a nightmare & my DH can't walk far. We're due to be a mean Mummy & Daddy soon too, must book those immunizations for the twins.
Welcome Jess! Working on any cars in particular atm? I like classic cars from 50s & 60s, & would love one as a hobby if I could afford it. My mechanical ability consists of changing tyres & checking fluids though, lol.
Plans for new year here are same as any other night, ie telly & feeding babies. I will have a bit of champagne though. It'll just be Lindsay, me and the 3 littlies at home.
We've got 42 forecast for today here, & all we have is fans. I'll be struggling to keep the bubs all well hydrated today & keep us all cool. Will pop Angus in a cool bath a couple of times through the day, & have set up a fan to blow on his cot.
Blergh! So much to do, but it aint gonna happen today.
-
Hi Yvette,
I would love to be working on a Dodge Charger, but unfortunately that aint going to happen anytime soon!
So I'll keep working on my beautiful 1987 JE Camira.
I reckon its hotter than 42 here atm, I'm struggling to keep my fluids up but luckily Bella is still drinking.
I only have one Water Cooler atm..so that is going on very soon
-
Are you breastfeeding Bella Jess? If so how's that going with the pregnancy? I was still feeding Angus early in my last pregnancy, but let it go when we found we were expecting twins. He was about 8 or 9 months.
-
Hi everyone,
Welcome Jess and congratulations on your pregnancy. I had my fifth child in November and planned to ttc in Feb 07 for Number 6.
The weather is also very hot in NSW as well. It is supposed to get to 37 degrees here today and over 40 degrees tomorrow. Ashleigh is a bit unsettled today because of the heat. I have washed the kitchen floor and want to vacumn and iron but I might just leave it until it cools down.
The kids are living on ice blocks at the moment. Anything to keep them cool. I think they are a bit bored because I won't let them go outside because of the heat.
My father-in-law is going to the Opera House tonight for New Years Eve. I am glad it is him and not me. I rather watch all the fireworks on telly then venture out in to the crowds of Sydney. I might have a glass of wine or two to celebrate if I make it midnight.

No, I found I couldn't B/F Bella after 3 months so we put her on Heinz Nurture as the Paed said that had the most iron in it. When she was born she couldn't be B/F from birth as she was under phototherapy lights and I think that contributed to the fact that it was hard for me to feed her.
-
Hi guys,
I know it has been a really long time. I just wanted to pop in and catch up on all the goss!
Hopefully, I'll get to come back online again sometime soon.
-
Have you just had a birthday Jess? Happy birthday if you have.
Hi Tiff, hope your little ones are being good to you.
Lots of clothes purging & sorting going on here atm, & it's time to get new school shoes.

Hi,
How is everyone, This week has been a quiet week in some respect and busy in another. My hubby and my 9 year old and 3 year old have been away this week. My two kids are in Sydney and my hubby went away to Temora with his cousin, so I have only my oldest son, my five year old daughter and my baby daughter to look after. I have been busy with appointments and having visitors this week as well. Ashleigh had her 2 month needles on Tuesday and she was a bit unsettled for the rest of the day so I kept up with the panadol for the rest of the day. The next day Ashleigh had physio on her neck and her foot. Her foot is still turned inwards but they left the plaster off and I have to keep stretching it to see if that will work. I have to take her back on the 1st of February. The reason that it is not closer is the physio is on holidays.
Next week I am going out to get the kids new school shoes. It will be my five year old's first school shoes because she starts this year. All I have to get apart from her school shoes is her lunch box and then she will be ready to go.

Hey ladies,
Boy has it been a hectic week!
Took all 5 shopping on Wednesday to get some groceries and other stuff. Ended up getting the three eldest all their school stuff! Like you Michele my 5 yr old starts school this year, all I really have to get him now is his school boots which I'll hopefully get soon,in amongst the packing up of boxes!
I swear that my kids get worse everytime I go shopping.Kate decided to lean on the barricades that they have sitting in front of the express lane in coles. Well after me telling her three times not to do it, the barricade breaks and she goes tumbling backward onto the hard floor with the barricade on top of her. She had a slight concussion and a massive headache but she's fine now!
-
Hi,
Sorry to hear that Kate had a mild concussion, I hope she has fully recovered from it. I hate taking my all my kids shopping especially my 3 year old and 5 year old. Every time I look around they have run off somewhere, thats why I usually stay away from shops when it is holidays. I will have to go this week but I will not have my 3 year old, Jayden will be back at preschool when I take the 3 oldest to get their school shoes.
I am having some quiet time today before my hubby gets back with my two boys. They should be home some time tonight. My oldest son has gone out with his pop today so its only My five year old daughter and my 2 month old daughter.

She is fine now, thank god!
I'm dreading taking them to the hospital with me on Tuesday for my OB appt. I might be able to con my aunts into looking after them for a while though.
-
I know how you feel, luckily when I have been to see my obs/gyno I have only had one of my crew because 2 have been at school and 1 was at preschool. I only had my 3 year old and because he did not have his brothers and sisters to stir him on he behaved alright. This year Melissa my third child will start school and Jayden will go to preschool 2 days a week, Wednesday and Friday, so any appointments that don't include the kids will be done on either of those days. I have a few appointments coming up but most of them is when the kids go back to school. The only appointment I have in January is probably to my gyno so he can insert an IUD in and to discuss other gyno problems I have been having.
Anyway how are you coping with your kids at home. Two of my kids have just come back home from Sydney. I am planning in going shopping this week to get school shoes for all of my three kids who will go to school this year. I have also got to get Melissa a lunch box.

The kids have been home from Mums for two weeks now and I wish they were back there! They are being MONSTERS!!!!!!!!
Tim keeps stirring Jack up and because he has a high pitched voice( part of his Aspergers) he squeals! Talk about ear piercing.
Lizzy and Kate keep trying to play in the boys room behind the mattresses and they end up messing their room up, so they get into trouble.
Bella is trying to lay on me constantly and because it is so hot it's uncomfortable.
And DH keeps on wanting "something"!!!
We are moving out of our house in three weeks and I finally got off my bum today and started shifting stuff!I moved the kids bikes, our bikes , the 2 small pools, the swing set, the BBQ and i put up the sun shelter. I only have a whole house to pack up now. but i did start DH and my room last night, finished at 2:45am, then got woken up at 7:00am by the kids!
I have my appt. on Tuesday with the OB resident and hopefully will find out what is happening with Bubby. Just in case they want me to have a scan, I'm packing a Mars Bar in my hand bag.
Thought I might get Bella weighed tomorrow...Last weigh she 8.24 kg(18lb1oz) so I'm happy with that. My girlfriends little boy who was born in November weighed just under 9lb at birth and he now weighs 15lb!He is only 8 weeks old.
-
Hi busy Mum's no time to post much atm, but I am home from holidays, 1 wk up the river, and will get back here asap, jhave missed you all.
Cheers michelle
-
Hi,
How is everyone, Having the same problem here. The kids are fighting. School come quick enough 2 weeks 6 days and counting. I think they are getting bored. Melissa just can not wait until school starts.
Regarding school, went shopping for shoes this week, came out of the shop one hundred and seventy dollars poorer for four pair of shoes. Also got all there pencils, rubbers etc. Melissa has already started going around the house with the bag on her back. Jayden started back at preschool this week, looked a bit lost without his sister. Hoping he will make some new friends this year.
Ashleigh is now 10 weeks old and growing. I have not had her weighed since the 13th December, I got to get around to going to the clinic but with the kids on school holidays there is not much time.

-
Michele- I am dreading going to the shops, my kis don't need much in the way of uniform but Target does have their sale this week so I should try to get down maybe Monday, I will see what the weather is like then decide.
Vanita- I lol at the no.5 thing cos I felt like that too, andf in my heart if I fell pg I woud secretly be rapt, as I knmow DH would be too in the end, but both of us know we really arenot in a good position to have anymore and also I am starting to see the advantages of the kids gettting bigger IYKWIM? Bummer on being back at work so soon too, but we gotta do what we gotta do!
Cheers michelle

Saw a show on TV the other day with a Jewish family in Melbourne with 17 kids, & I've recently watched Cheaper by the Dozen (predidctably twee, but I just had to watch it, lol), so not feeling like such a hero with 5, lol.
I have taken all 5 shopping BY MYSELF once, and it was fine, but Angus was being particularly good that day & the twins slept the whole time, so quite a stroke of luck really. Yesterday we just had the 3 littlies with us at Knox City, & they were all crying at once at one stage,
I'm looking forward to how our dinner table will be when the littlies are feeding themselves.
And I'm looking forward to these babies sleeping through the night again.

Hi everyone,
Been busy lately, We had Mark's brother, wife and two kids come down and see us from Townsville, they are going home tomorrow. We had a late night out last night. We went to meet my father-in-laws girlfriends family and found out they were getting engaged so it was a night of celebrations. They will be getting married at the end of the year and my five year old daughter Melissa has been asked to be flower girl. My husband will be his father's best man. Mark's mother died a few years ago after a long illness so we are happy that he has found someone to spend his time with.
Off to the Ears, Nose and Specialist tomorrow, after having trouble with sinuses hoping he can help with the constant problems with my sinuses or nose. Wednesday, taking my five year old to get her eyes checked before she starts school. I still got to find time to go to the clinic and have Ashleigh checked, it has just been so busy lately. Once the kids are back at school , I am hoping everything will quieten down.
Vanita, I know what you are saying about thinking about another one, Ashleigh is only 2 months old and I am considering going for number 6, 12 months down the track.

I must of started something with ppl thinking about no. 5 and 6.
Everything is finally on the go here, we are hoping to be out of the house by next weekend so heres to hoping there will be not much hot weather this week.I have to find time in between moving to remove the bath from my aunts bathroom and install a shower.
Not much happening here though, the kids have everything ready for school, so thats out of the way.
Just have to move the caravan down now and move all my junk into it!
Bye for now
Jess
-
Where are you moving to Jess? I hate moving, but doing it with 5 kids and being pg too isn't fun!
Yvette- if they all slept it would be a breeze shopping wouldn't it? Hope your trerasures do sleep through again soon, helps you to feel human.
Michele- Hope the specialist goes well.
My niece ended up sunburnt here on Fri, she is blonde and fair. Not that it was really my fault as my SIl brought her here at 1pm and hadn's sunscreened her up and she let her go out, so I didn't even think of it. Her shoulder ended up blistering so it was pretty bad, and I felt awful. My kids don't burn thaat easily as they are all darker than my niece.
A big week ahead I am planning to do lots of stuff, lets hope I stay motivated.
-
Hi mitch
We are all moving across to my aunts place as both of them were nice enough to offer to let us move in with them.
The older 3 kids will be inside in the rooms that we have set up for them and Elizabeth and Isabella will be outside in the caravan with DH and myself.
we were lucky to find a caravan and annexe for $1000, so I thought that was a bargin, and when we finally find a house we can take the van with us!
I can't think of much more to add yet, but when I do I'll add it in here.
Jess
-
Jess- that was very good of your aunts. I am guessing they are not far from where you currently are living. It is hard to find houses big enough to fit large families. Unless of course you customise them to suit and you can't do that and rent. Are you trying to save for a house?
I am feeling like I am not reading things carefully and that I am missing bits of info which would make things make sense IYKWIM? Maybe it is just the school hols!LOL
Cheers michelle

Hi everyone,
How is everyone, School is back next week. Thank goodness for that. Kids are starting to get bored especially since it has been raining on and off for the last couple of weeks.
Melissa is starting kindergarden next Tuesday. She is wanting to go somedays but not wanting to go on other days. I don't think she likes the idea that she has to go five days a week. She is starting the same day as the boys go back as the school principal wants them all starting on the same day.
Jayden is starting to get used going to preschool without his sister. He is starting to join in more and making some friends. I am glad that he is enjoying it now because I was worried he was going to start fretting for his sister.
Ashleigh has a cold at the moment along with myself(due to stupid weather in NSW) and I am considering taking her to the doctors in the next few days to get her checked out.

HI everyone
Jo- it's a relief to have the shopping done isn't it? WHat grade is your eldest dd in this year?
Michele- hope you sort Ashleigh and your codl out soon, I hate being crook cos you still have to do everything. Glad to hear your kiddies seem to be going well.
We too did the school shopping, not much to buy thankfully cos I don't have alot of money LOL. Next year will be a killer cos Jordan will be going to High school. But for thius year it is just grade 6! 2 more sleeps and we will be back in routine! Yeah for me! LOL Jemma starts 3yo kinder on Thursday, now that will be sad, but i have decided that that time will be my groc shopping time once a fortnight,, time will fly then, unless of course jess plays up and then I will just go by myself when Arron is home (a much nicer prospect).
Cheers michelle

Hi,
How is everyone, My cold seems to better but I am having catscan done on Wednesday on my sinuses due to having had a couple of sinus infections this year.
Melissa started school this week. She was not happy about going, and we are still having teething problems their, but hoping as the weeks go by she will settle in to school. She is not the only one who hasn't settled in others are having problems as well. Academically she is doing well, already she has two awards in her first week, one for her reading and and second for outstanding achievement in all areas. So I am quiet proud of her.
Have to go dinner is ready, talk soon.

Hi,
Just wondering how everyone is going. I hope everyone is fine.
Ashleigh is still refluxing and now she has a rash under her neck due to all the vomitting and dribbling she is doing. Also she might have to go back into plaster as her foot is still to tight and she is still turning her foot inwards.
I had my catscan done and seen the ENT. I have to have a septoplasty on my nose because inside my nose is out of shape and is causing me to have sinus infections and constant headaches. So I am going in for surgery on the 7th April.
I have started doing a circuit class at curves to try and get fit, so I can keep up with my tribe. I had my first session today and it wasn't to bad, so hoping to lose some weight.
Melissa is starting to enjoy school more now and has even been invited to 2 birthday parties already so far since she has started school. The other kids are doing fine as well.

Hello everyone
Michelle Jess is the same age as Jordan but has just gone into year 7 this year..so for us High School next year. Its a bit daunting lol. Shes just been elected faction captain which she is rapt about and is trying out for councillor next week...big year! How are all your kiddies going? I bet Jemma is loving kinder.
Awww poor Asheigh Michele. I hope the rash clears up for you. I havent had any experience with reflux so can only sympathesise. I hope the surgery will help with the headaches and sinus issues too. And omg well done at the circuit class..u go girl..lol. I am walking a few times a week but im afraid that is all i can manage! Thats great Melissa is settling in well..parties are a great way of making kids feel more at ease arent they.
Well the kids have all settled in really well to school. We havent gone overboard with after school activities this term..so just basketball and art classes. Our music teacher growled at Emmy at the end of last term and has really put her off so for this term there are no piano lessons...which at $60 a week i cant say i mind all that much ;) Sammy has his own little mummy and bubby music groups which are so great. Hes just the most sociable happy little fellow..everyone makes him smile!
Well off for now
Jo
-
Hi Michele
good luck for the surgery and the weight lose. Melissa sounds like she is making lots of friends which is lovely. Hope 1 more cating does the trick for Ashleigh.
Jo- Sammy sounds like he is just gorgeous. You must have a different system for school in WA cos yr 7 here is high school, and yr 6 is the last yr of Primary school. Jordan is in yr 6, are you getting teenage attitude?
My lot are well, Josh seems to be tired all the time and loves to push the boundaries, he spends more time banned from the xbox than playng it. Jemma is doing 3 hrs of 3yo kinder and loving it. Jess is cutting molars, but is other the worst of it. She is also starting to waffle her head off, that will each my mum to say she doesn't talk much.LOL
Cheers michellle
-
Michelle..omg at the teenage attitude...your dd does it too huh?? Every now and then Jess will be ok and be my lovely child again..then **** its gone..and shes back to being a little miss!!!AARRRGGGGHHHH..its so much easier when they are babies!!!
Jo
-
Hi guys, I've kind of fallen behind here so will just start again from here.
Ruth is at camp at Philip Island til tomorrow, Lola has to see the physio again tonight re ballet, Angus has a bad cold. He's just unbelievable gorgeous, but still not talking, just says Lola and Coco and babbles. Asha & Lauren are up on hands and knees and ready for takeoff. No longer happy to sit in their little chairs, I now have them in a wooden playpen next to me here so they can wriggle around and play with toys without getting stepped on. Lauren has the cold too, so I expect Asha & I will have it soon, can't wait for that one.
Lindsay's still fighting off pneumonia & I need to call the lawnmower dude urgently. Our grocery budget is still out of control and I just have to find a way to control it!
-
Yvette- hope you and Asha escape the cold. It's always full on with more than 2 kids I reckon! I am finding it hard to fit everything in at the moment and have serious deadlines coming up like garage sale on the 25th and BAS due on the 28th and done nothing much yet!!! Hope the phsyio is going well, what is the actual verdict on the feet? Hope Lindsay is better soon, it has hung around forever hasn't it?
Jo- attitude is also starting to rear it's head in the 6yo GRRR for that cos he is so naughty sometimes. It seems he is constantly being punished for one thing or another. Lately it's for getting angry and hurting one or more of his sisters. I so don't want to be mad at my boy but he will push me to the end of the rope!!!
Cheers michelle

Hi,
Ashleigh is back in her plaster. We had the plastering done twice because somehow little miss got out of her first plaster so we had to go back and get another plaster done. She will be in plaster for another two weeks and we will see what happens after that, hoping that the foot will have improved by then.
It has been so busy with so many doctors and physio appts lately. I had Luke at the asthma clinic this week, good news is that his asthma is under control. I have only had two weeks so far this year without going to some kind of doctor, physio or specialist. The next coming weeks, I have a gyno appointment, a paedaetrician appointment with Ashleigh, more physio with Ashleigh, a doctors appointment with Ashleigh to get her four months needles and a clinic visit, her first visit to the clinic since she was born.
Regarding the other kids they are fine, Luke had his grading for soccer and he is B grade I think, not bad for someone who hasn't played yet. Little athletics will finish next month. The kids have enjoyed another year of running etc.
Regarding attitude problems I have a 5 year old who has attitude problems. Are we sure that 5 year old girls don't have hormonal problems at that age, I am dreading when she does start, if she is moody at the age of five, I do not want to know what she is going to be like when she is a teenager. LOL.

-
Michele- girls and attitude are one word I think LOL Hopefully the plaster works quickly, and what a bugger Ashleigh getting out of the plaser the first time. Well done to Luke on his grading.
Anotherbusy weekend over here, thank goodness. I am praying that we get some free weekends very soon. Arron has a bucks night/day next Sat and the wedding is the following saturday. After that we have no weekend bookings LOL Kids are tired around here, we have had so much going on.
Jemma is haveing a party tomorrow, 1 hr with 6 3 yo's and their mums, I think I will be glad when it ends LOL I have to run into the shop in the morning to grab stuff and get home to vac and tidy up.LOL We had our garage sale here on sat, sold about $250 worth but only $110 was mine. Better than nothing though. Spent it in the arvo on groceries though. We too had the storm and had just put the last of the garage sale stuff away when it strck, and it ****ed down for ages, no floods here thank goodness, although floods are good for Arron, big money in flood restoration when insurance companies are involved. Arron has gone out to work now, 10.30, reckons he'll be a couple of hrs, hope he's earlier cos I'm so tired.
Goodnight and Hi to everyone
Michelle

Hi,
How is everyone, Have been busy with lots of drs appointments, physio with Ashleigh etc.
Ashleigh is now wearing some sort of guard on her foot now, because she keeps getting out of the plaster. This guard allows me to keep putting it back on her whereas once she is out of the plaster I can not put it back on. Now the physio thinks there could be a problem with her left hip. Going to see Paedaetrician on Tuesday, to find out more. Hoping he can give me some answers to her foot and reflux as well. Ashleigh also just got her needles yesterday, she has been a bit unsettled today, so hoping tomorrow will be better.
Luke starts training for soccer this coming Friday and he plays his first trial game this coming Saturday. Little athletics is over after this week, so I have Thursdays back for shopping again.
Melissa has been to another boy's party today, this is her third boy's party this year. Luke has gone to a boy's sleepover tonight for someone's birthday. I am going broke just buying for all these birthday parties. Melissa is still very moody, I am hoping Ashleigh is not like that when she is five.

HI Michele
Hope that Ashleighs leg is ok. Sounds like you are all flat out. I too am glad little aths is over although Netball is starting so it is one thing after another really. It is lovely for your kids to be invited to so many parties but it does get expensive having to buy lots of pressies. I think you really have to have a $10 limit cos it can get out of hand.
We are coming up to the 2nd wedding for the year, then we have a 1st bday and hop[efully a break from socil stuf, LOL I am so tired, too many huge weekends LOL
Hi Jo, hope your lot are all well
Hi Yvette How'd the campoer go? AHope all are well at your place including Lindsay.
Best wishes
