    checkout chap issues

Im really fussy about my shopping.

Often I will only have time to bring half of it in, so its crucial that all the cold stuff is together as that comes in before kids, to go away safely, but Ill leave things like toiletries or cereal until the kids are all toileted and happy inside.

I sort it out of the trolley in order of packing, and yet the check out chap constantly does things like throw the lunch meat in with the cleaning products.

Every time I say 'can you make sure the cold stuff all goes in my cold bag please?' but he seems to just chuck things in at random.

so it goes bad sitting in the car for an hour before I can get back out to bring the rest in.

there is a tiny self serve, but I cant take a trolley through, and as its a small store they often only have the one checkout open.

Do I say something to the service supervisor? or just continue to remind him and double check the packing?

I would think meat with cleaning products is a no no anyway! If you have a cooler bag, all of your cold stuff should be going in there. Seeing as you've brought it up with him before and he doesn't seem to care, I'd mention it to a supervisor, he needs a bit of training.

That is really annoying! Can you go to a different checkout though? You must live in a small town I am thinking?

I could use the woolies in town but my frozen stuff will melt before I get home.
I think Ill have to mention it to the supervisor as he did it to dH today too

I'd definitely be taking it further. Good luck.

I don't think it is an unreasonable request, especially given you have unloaded things in order for it to happen. I'm horrible at addressing these issues - I normally chicken out. Good luck

I agree that I would talk to the supervisor about it, I guess I look at it and think that if nobody said anything and everyone else decided to shop elsewhere then they never have the chance to fix the problem and give him some extra training. We should all support local business and I'm sure they will aprriciate your feedback.

    thanks everyone.
I did have a chat to the supervisor, just casually commented that he could use a refresher for his packing skills.
I havent been shopping since to see if things are better
