Thanks guys, have now made a few calls and ordered the Lucrin from the Discount Drug store in Birkenhead Point for $233.
Cuddlepie you're right both Drummoyne and Macquarie street had it available but they both were a bit more expensive ($280 and $250) and the Birkenhead point one is open on Sunday which is more convenient for me.
WTH - good that you're so relaxed about TWW - hope everything goes well and we're soon together in TWW after succesful IVF :)
BW - nice to hear from you, thanks for your answer to my question - hope everything is well with you just noticed your status as sick.

Sweet lord, they must have increased their price since last time I bought it (Jan this year), this global financial crisis is not helping things isn't it? But glad you found the cheapest one Sara, that's actually also beneficial to me as I need to get it in about 2 weeks time and Birken Head is just at my door steps...:D Thanks hun. we might be neighbours too...which suburb are you in?

It's just a lingering viral chest infection thing... going on 4 weeks now, I can't seem to shake it!
Glad you found some lucrin, but yikes! That price jump!

BW - Hope you feel better soon.
Had another look online for the Lucrin and found it slightly cheaper at an Online Chemist.
Personally will go with the normal pharmacy as it seems too much trouble to mail the script etc.

Going for an u/s today, just a general check up my new FS ordered before starting this cycle, but don't know why Im a bit anxious about it.

Cuddlepie - No blood test or U/S tomorrow as planned, Monash decided it was not really necessary, however do have both on Monday and Wednesday. EPU will be November 7, PGD testing has already been booked for November 10 and 11 so unless something goes completely wrong in the next few days the 7th it will be.
Have an appointment at Royal Brisbane Hospital next Thursday with the Genetics department, they need to go through some pretty routine stuff with me first before they can send Brendans DNA to America for testing to confirm the Autopsy diagnosis.

Lisa, good luck with the EPU on 7th, I will be thinking of you...Glad that you are doing some testing with Bredans' DNA and finding answers.

As you can see by my new sig I got a BFN for my OI (which was never mean't to happen anyways). The whole process had me really fooled because last week I had the strongest PG-like symptoms I've ever had before a BT. So now I understand how IVF girls get their hopes up so high each time. You really do feel PG! Then I had a massive hormonal crash Friday and was greeted by AF. Spent the weekend in Sydney having some wonderful escapism. It was just what I needed. Am now on Day 3 of my new short cycle on a higher dose so will be curious to see how it goes. Does not feel as exciting this time around. Just hoping we get some embryos to biopsy (and hopefully transfer) so we have a better idea of the quality of my little eggies.

WTH, have been thinking of you over the weekend, sorry to hear that you had a little emotional rollercoaster at the end of the this cycle as well...in a way, it is actually a better preparation for the next cycle, emotionally and psychologically. I feel the same, after the 1st IVF cycle with my hope is up and then crashing down, I learned self-preservation . I don't have much expectation for this upcoming stim cycle either. I just want to get some decent embyros to freeze, so at least I've done the hardest part before Xmas. Plus my body seems never respond well to a fresh transfer...
Glad you had a lovely weekend in Sydney though, great start for this cycle hun. Hope your spirit will pick up soon as AF time is not helping on the emotional front I am sure...

Very sorry to hear this, must have felt like sucha a letdown. Was wondering how you were over the weekend - good that you were able to get away.
Great that you already were able to start the new cycle - are you already on the the Lucrin?
AFM - DP is going to pick up mine from the pharmacy today and then I have to work out how to get it to the Great Ocean Road to start next Thursday .
Very nervous about everything at the moment as I am starting to realise what an enormous step it is.

Thanks, Cuddlepie. Hey, how long is AF supposed to hang around on a new cycle? I started FSH on Day 2 (as you know, no down reg). So I am on FSH Day 3 (cycle Day 4) and still have AF. I have only done two shots so far as Syd IVF do them at night. Any thoughts?

Hi Redlady. I was more bummed by the hormones than the BFN. I would rather a BFP with the added assurance of PGD. I am not doing a down reg (with Lucrin) cycle this time. Instead, I am just doing FSH from Day 2. Then in a few days I will start something called Orgulatran. If all goes well, EPU will be next week. BTW, our clinic asks for Lucrin to be kept refridgerated, so make sure your Lucrin is transported in an esky. Not long to go... ;)

Sara, it is all happening for you, I can understand its a bit nerve-wrecking, but I am sure you will be fine. We usually take a small esky (pardon my spelling) with an ice-pack when we travel, so it will keep it cool. You will find the needle of Lucrin is so tiny you won't even feel it, you will be an old hand in no time. :D
WTH, I think AF will be the same length as you normal have, FSH doens't seem to alter mine, I will still have 5 days maybe a little spotting on D6 or 7. The first day on FSH will be your cycle D1.
It is best to do FSH injection same time everyday so your body will get use to it. I do it in the morning, partly because DH can inject it (on my bum :-) before he leaves for work and I do lucrin myself on tummy. I prefer to get it out of the way. But I have heard that doing it at night will minimize side effect.

WTH Wow, EPU already next week, it's all happening, keeping fingers crossed for a BFP!
Cuddlepie/WTH thanks for the eski advice, trouble is that I a flying down to Melbourne, will need to check with the airline, I assume it's okay as long as I put it in and esky with an icepack and pack that into a suitcase and check it in but will make sure.
Cuddlepie - yes very nervous about the injections, thanks for your advice. Will go in to SIVF on Friday and let the nurse show me how to do it.

WTH - so very sorry, but onwards and upwards. You can only move on and be positive. OK for my to say, but it's true. Fingers crossed.
Redlady - I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to inject myself, but have found it so easy as the needle is really fine and felt practically nothing when inserting it. Be brave, all worth it in the end.
Had my blood test and U/S this morning, have approx 26 folicles with 17 of them being between 12 and 18mm, lots of little ones around 10mm so probably not useful. Endometrian lining very thick (doc didn't say how thick) which is apparently good. I just hope all this good news isn't getting my hopes up too high.
