Hi Minnie, how are you holding up?
AFM - had my day 8 bloods and scan today, waiting for blood results. She said not to stress about anything yet as it's early days but I have 2 follicles at the moment with possibly more coming she said. Have to go back Wednesday. I have nothing to compare it to but given I was told this morning I had 5 follies last cycle (which was just a stock standard tracking cycle) I'm a bit disappointed. Ho hum..........this is definitely a rollercoaster ride this process isn't it.
Update - estrogen sitting at 990 and i have 2 follies and 1 smaller one.....back Wednesday for another scan and possibly have to take the orgalutran......was hoping for more follies, would've loved 3/4 out of the cycle but oh well. Boo hoo. I have just started getting o pains though, is it possible I'll ovulate before they see me next? I have no idea how it works....is it just the drugs doing it? Now I'm paranoid I'm going to miss sthe boat, I usually ovulate anywhere from day 11-14. I really need to learn all this stuff, I was so up on tracking cycles I feel like a dummy again!
-
minnie - That's incredible news!! How are you feeling? Everything crossed for you, sweet.
Sunbeam - Awesome! Is it today you're meeting up? If so, best of luck to you!!
Alison - I'm sorry you're disappointed. I completely understand your nerves. Your FS should get a good idea of where things are at after your scan/BT tomorrow and adjust your meds accordingly. I started to convince myself that things weren't right just prior to EPU; to be honest, I think I was just uncomfortable and feeling the pressure (in more ways than one, haha). Take care of yourself and take it one day at a time. You will be ok xx
babymama - Just wanted to let you know that I had 3 embies frozen from my last cycle and they all thawed well and continued to grow. Thinking of you and hoping for the best!
Andie - How are you feeling these days? I hope you are well and happy xx
Joe - I hope you're doing well and your test is coming along nicely!
AFM - EPU was on Friday. All went ok - they collected 8 eggs and found 2 cysts (blergh). Of the 8 eggs, 6 were mature and ICSI'd, 4 fertilised and 3 continued to grow. My 3 frosties were thawed on Sunday morning, survived (hurrah) and continued to divide. So, 6 embies were biopsied yesterday. They were all 8 or 10 cell so 2 cells were biopsied from each and sent away. So... this afternoon I will find out from my clinic how the 6 are going post-biopsy and will get a transfer time for tomorrow. PGD testing is happening today - I can hardly believe it(!). I will probably get a phone call with results in the morning - the time difference between where I am and where the PGD testing is should work in my favour. Hopefully there is a little time between the phone call and transfer time, just so I know, either way. EEEEEK!! *Fingers crossed*

Thanks Elle I appreciate that xx
I'm having a slight freak out girls, off for more bloods/scan tomorrow, i'll be Day 10 tomorrow but I ovulate anywhere between 11 and 14 normally. I've started getting my usual EWCM today, I am so scared/paranoid I'm going to get there tomorrow for them to say woops sorry we've missed it, you're already ovulating. Is that something that is likely to happen? My estrogen was 990 yesterday, I usually ovulate when it's about 1300 by previous tracking cycles......argh help!! lol

IVF with PGD # 9
Hi girls,
Our phone line is down and therefore so is the Internet and I haven't been able to get on the laptop since Saturday and it's hard to write on the phone....anyway
Elle: that's great news, I have everything crossed things r good and you get a transfer tomorrow, please update us
Alison: don't stress, I always get heaps of ewcm when my estrogen starts getting into the thousands, you won't ovulate because the synarel or lucrin (whichever you are) on stops that, I hope tomorrow scan is better for you.
Sorry to everyone else for no more personals
I'm hanging in there, the doubts are creeping in that it hasn't worked, I feel under so much pressure knowing its a good embryo and it took 14 being tested to find it !!
Does anyone have any thoughts about how long the ovidrel takes to get out of your system ?
-
Yay minnie!!!!!! That's awesome hun! I'll be praying the little embie holds on tight . I've heard the ovidrel takes 10 days to get out of your system. GL honey! xoxox
-
Sneaking in to say my last ovidrel trigger took 16 days to leave my system.

IVF with PGD # 9
elle - wonderful news getting 6 to biopsy, fingers crossed for tomorrow. : )
alison - i get ewcm towards end of stim cycle too, don't worry. last time i was convinced id ovulated as my stomach went from bloated to flat as well as the ewcm... I hadn't. it is a bit worrying when you see the ewcm though. ; )
minnie - i had pregnyl trigger, half dose of 500iu so can't help with the ovidrel. i know I googled like crazy & figured out it was half life of about 36hrs, then calculated when it should be out etc. so i would know if i tested if it was trigger or not. you might not be as crazy as me though... ; )

Andie: haha I am as crazy as you because I have been googling that tonight ! The numbers were doing my head in though. Saturday will be 14 days so I hope I'm safe by then !
Nothing2lose: thanks

Hi Girls
Elle - Huge truck load of wishes for tomorrow babe I hope you are PUPO with Minnie by tomorrow arvo :crossfingers::goodluck:
Alison - As the girls said the drugs will stop you from ovulating. I get the EWCM too and the eggies are all still there at collection. I hope tomorrow's scan shows a nice group of follies for you.:crossfingers::goodluck:
Minnie - I tested out my trigger once and it was horrible seeing the line get lighter and lighter and disappear. I'd say you should be fine by saturday (if you can hold out that long ;))
AFM - I didn't get to meet up with my potential egg donor today as she was unwell so we are meeting on thurs. I'm really feeling the tension of the past few weeks and my back is killing me. I'm not sure how much more I have in me to carry on this journey.
-
Hi Sunbeam - thank you.....back from scan, unfortunately still only 2 dominant follies measuring about 1.3 at the moment.....she didn't mention any smaller ones, I thought I saw a couple of things but I have no idea what i'm looking at. Disappointed but I guess I just have to look ahead to the next cycle and hope I can get my FSH down and the follie count up. She did say 2 is better than 1 but my chances of having at least 1 good egg out of 2 (if there's even an egg in each follicle) is probably slim right! I'm sorry you haven't been able to meet up with your egg donor yet, how frustrating - don't give up, you've come so far and this could be the one!!!!! In fact, I'm sure it is, after all, you deserve it! xx
-
Alison - Does that mean your cycle is cancelled because there are only 2 or will they go ahead with EPU anyway? If they are only 13mm you still have a few days to go amybe some others will catch up. How will they get your FSH next cycle? Thanks for the encouragement just feeling really over the whole thing but maybe that's a good thing since people say it happens when you give up! Who knows!
Elle - Waiting for news.:crossfingers:

Sunbeam: I hope you can get things sorted out with your donor and get things going, hang in there
Alison: sorry things aren't going well with your cycle, it's so hard when that happens, what was your estrogen today ?
Elle: I'm hoping for an update and that things went well
Afm: I tested this morning 4dp5dt and the trigger has gone, now the real wait begins !
-
Hi Sunbeam - no I asked the clinic if they'd cancel and they said no way. Because of my circumstances (low AMH, at best 2.6) and high FSH, at best 12 they said it's not worth potentially wasting 2 good eggs when next cycle I could get nothing. They said a lot of women with my situation get only the one sometimes no follicles!!! So I'm looking at it as a positive that I've got 2 good ones going. I have 2 smaller ones which she said could take off but I'm not banking on it. They're happy with how it's all looking so far given the situation. I haven't spoken to them about my FSH and next cycle yet, but I'm taking Royal Jelly and downing the Deep Sea Krill Oil and having weekly acupuncture so I'm hoping that helps bring my FSH down, time will tell!!!! Yes I understand you being over it, I've been like that many times in the last 18 months or so lol. But you're right, it's probably when you relax most and end up preggars, here's hoping!
Hi Minnie - ooh how exciting, I bet you're a nervous wreck! Crossing everything for you. My estrogen has plateaud today wt!!! The nurse said it can happen and they're not worried at all because the follicle size is most important and that all looks great at the moment. Gosh our bodies are weird! In all my tracking cycles I've never known my estrogen to plateau so not sure if it's the drugs??
AFM - started Organtulan (sp?) today, it gave me a red itchy welt at the injection site has anyone else had that? I guess I'll have to ring and let them know tomorrow. Anyway I'm CD10 today, back on Friday for yet another scan and bloods but they are saying EPU is likely to be early next week at this stage.
-
IVF with PGD # 9
Alison: my clinic says estrogen is 1000 per mature egg so 6000 for 6 eggs, mine have usually followed that rule. What was yours yesterday ? I hope your little ones have caught up a bit tomorrow.
I think a reaction at the injection site is normal for any of the injection but I have never had it, best to check with your clinic
Afm: I'm trying to keep busy until the blood test next week !
-
Thanks Minnie that's great, my estrogens sitting just under 1000 at the moment.........so perhaps I only have the 1 egg in those darn follicles then! :o Hopefully tomorrow's bloods will show a boost! That wait is a killer....well it used to be when I was doing tracking cycles I can only imagine how much harder after IVF and forking out all that bloomin money eeeeek!!!!
-
Sunbeam - Good luck today! I hope your chat goes well xx Please take care of yourself - relax as much as you can and give your poor self a break!
Alison - I used Cetrotide in my cycle rather than Orgalutran but I did have a similar reaction. A little swelling at the site and some itching/irritation that lasted a little while. Fingers crossed for those lovely follicles and good results from your BT.:)
minnie - How exciting!! How are you feeling? When are you planning on testing?
AFM - I'm PUPO!!!:D My embryo update on Tuesday afternoon was that 4 of our 6 had recovered well, with the other 2 struggling to continue growing post-biopsy. The PGD results came in yesterday morning; I was awake by 4am and got the call at 9.30am (stomach churning the whole time!). 3 of the embryos - normal!!! 2 - carriers; 1 - affected. The 2 little embies that were struggling and of poor quality post-biopsy were the 1 that was affected and 1 of the carriers. It was amazing news! I cried the whole time I was talking to the embryologist, then called DH and cried some more, haha... So... I had 1 fresh (from this cycle), normal blastocyst transferred yesterday afternoon. I just need the precious little one to stick and find a nice, comfy little home in there!:)
A little side note - I have had some awful cramping/pains following egg retrieval this cycle. They seem to have started to settle a little (although still bloated and uncomfortable). A couple of days ago, the pain was so bad on my left side, all I could really do was lay down; my right side has had off and on dull pains (my left ovary was the one with all of the follies; my right had the cysts). Have any of you experienced this? It was at its worst around 4 days post-EPU. I am on Crinone, too (once at night) and I've read that that can give you some yucky side effects (?!). I can cope with pain (although I'd rather not have to), I just don't want anything to go wrong and jeopardise my chances of a healthy pg.
