Thankyou so much for the welcome girls, was so hoping we wouldn't have to go down this road again but at least I'll have good company!!
Kar, we are waiting for my final lot of blood tests from the m/c to come back and then we'll start our FET. Af is due in about a week and a bit so hoping the tests will be back by then. I'll be doing my first natural cycle.
Good luck.
Shazz.

Hi everyone - finally got back in here after getting bad gateway messages all morning.
Shazz - sounds like you could be a bit ahead of me - but you never know!
Tam, Chele, Marg and Ann - updates please!
Sue - LOL - walking frame picture...
Daisy - havent heard of child within - sound like I need to stay away from that one.
Leis - do you suffer from much memory loss or forgetfulness when you go for big sleeps? I am completely useless even under mild IVF sedation... I lose track of anything that happens for about 24-48 hrs post the ni-nigh drugs. I've heard a kilo of pharmacy jellybeans is supposed to minimise the impact of anaesthetic... Never had the guts to try it out though!!!
Hi everyone I've missed...
-
Hi girls
Shazz, with a bit of luck, you may not have to be here for too long, here's hoping anyway.
Kar, a kilo of jellybeans? That would probably work for me - I'd be too busy running to the amenities to feel the after affects of anaesthetic.
Tam, do you have any US results to share? Or are you still busy celebrating Freo's win...
Hi to everyone else out there.
Not doing any more walking, foot is really sore today. Might have to ask bi-lo if they hire out their walkers ;)
-
Kar- I managed to pick up the book yesterday. Though I really want to finish the other book first. " Child within" was on the orginal recomended reading list that I got with my Ivf info back in 2004. In fact it was the only one I was able to buy off the list. I did meet the author last year and she seemed really nice, so I thought I would give it ago. I just feel I need to read something useful, IYKWIM. I started seeing a counceller but she just told me I have to stop wanting a baby then I will be happy. ( Grrrrr) Did not understand at all. I so thank my lucky stars for you girls.
Tam- I hope everything is right on track for OPU Friday. I am going to be really busy the next 5 days, Si if I dont get a chance to pop in I just want you to know I am thinking of you and wishing you all the best
Shazz- welcome. Whishing you load of baby dust for this upcoming cycle.
Leis- How time fly's. the next op will be over before you know it. Just one step left until your wildest dreams come true!
SuziQ- I hope you are resting up on that foot. Dont feel guilty on being off. When I left my last job I left with 13 weeks of untaken sick leave. No one ever says thanks for never being off sick. Believe me! It is there to use when you need it. So sit back enjoy some time and space on the lounge!
Keen honey thinking of you!
To everyone else I hope you are all doing well.
I hope this posts as I had the same as Kar and when I hit the submit button it went to the same error. So I am hoping I wont loose this post too!!!

Hi to everyone, just finally getting in here.
I'll start off with me, yes, my EPU is tomorrow (Friday). u/s on Wednesday showed 6 on each ovary but they hadn't grown much since Monday so I think it was originally a bit iffy for Friday. Had my trigger last night, had to keep DH up til 10pm for that. The sleeping dr told me today that I was 3rd on the list, going in about 9.30am. Feeling ok, a bit uncomfortable with a full bladder but that's about it. Will let you know details tomorrow arvo when I get home.
Shazz, welcome to you. Hope your story continues on with a good ending.
Vicki, not sure about the counsellor! aren't we all doing this so we can have a baby. :smt102 Have to admit I've never read any books. BB is my bible.
Hope the starters have started fine (IYKWIM)
Sue, I agree about the sick leave. And lol about the giant walking stick. And yes, there was a big jump & cheer from me when Freo got their deserved points.
Leis, I think the big sleeps & rest are the only good thing about ops too. The longer the op the more nausea I get. I look forward to the day I no longer need to have laps.
Take care to you all,
-
That's great Tam, have been waiting for your post.
A good number and the size must be ok too. The sleeping doctor - must be late, I had to think about that one.
Hope you'll be well enough at some point over the weekend to let us know the number on the back of your left hand. :luck:
Good luck!
Sue
-
Good luck for tomorrow Tam.
:crossfingers:
-
Kar, a kilo of jelly beans, i think that would make me throw up more than the anaesthetic!!! No i don't tend to forget much quiet the opposite actually, i remember things that have been bugging me for ages, like trying to remember someones name the week before and it bugs you and bugs you i wake up and remember it!!!
Hope everyone is doing ok
Love Leis x

Seems like there is heaps going on in here!
Well went to see Dr yesterday, just to get the last of the paper work out of the way, start jabbing Lucrin tomorrow night (ouch), yes I'm the world's greatest wimp when it comes to jabbing.
Dr said we'll wait until day of ET to see how many to transfer at my age 38, they see no reason not to transfer 2 freshies, but Dr is not real keen on twins at my age.
Dr seemed a little worried about our state of mind after so many failed attemps, as we told him we do get very dissapointed after each failure, but it makes us a little stronger for the next go.
On another note my step sister gave birth to a little boy yesterday, It's funny I don't get upset anymore about hearing such news, and I 've heard a lot about friends, relo's having babies lately, I'm just very happy for them (it must be when you get to my age)
Luv to all
Ann

Hmmm we seem to be missing a few posts... that must of got lost in the move.... Ann are you with Sydney IVF? I went through SIVF city clinic O'Connell street.. i was really happy with them, and i also used the Lucrin which from what i can gather is far better than synarel, as it doesn't tear your nose to shreds...
Good luck with the needle sticking, you will be fine..and become and expert in no time..

Hi guys, Mmmm the new forum is different, gonna take a bit to get the hang off. Any tips, post them in too.
The number on the back of my left hand is 15, so very happy. When I awoke it was from a vivid dream & of course the first thing I looked at was my hands. There was nothing there! So I asked the nurse & she wrote on my hand for me. I had a tear of relief, as I was about to go under the dr told me there were 9 follies. So yes, very happy with 15.
Now the count down begins. Fertilisation rate tomorrow, then on Monday they'll let me know how many are ready for the PGD testing. I'm still & will continue to be nervous about that. I told DH that if I get a bit bad over the next few days to ignore me, send me to my room or give me chocolate!!!
The 3 ways to survive for him.
Ann, I'm a shocker with needles too. Seems a bit ridiculous but my excuse to DH is that I don't want to get used to them. I tried Sheree's 50c trick but have to leave it on longer before the shot next time.
Hope you are having a good day. I'm off to hunt around & see if I can work out the new things.
Take care
-
All the very best for your EPU today Tam - hope you have a fantastic result
Ann - hope you are enjoying being back in the stabbing game... Im the same as you - dont get upset by news of someone having a baby - that is unless it is unwanted/uncared for.
edited to add - YAYE TAM!! 15 is a great number - well done Honey! Now divide and conquer little embies!
-
Phew!
Finally made it back in here....
what a palaver!
Leis and Keen - how did you do those Avs? I've asked Kat (aka Astrolady) to resize mine....
-
Tam, that's a great haul!!! LOL at your hand being the first thing you were interested in - I did the same thing last time.
Keen and Leis, love your new avs. I decided a change was as good as a holiday too.
Hi to everyone else.
I'm off to check things out too.
Sue

Avs
Kar, go into User CP and change it there. You can download a URL or something from your own puter. The dimension restriction is in the instructions.
I have a website for downsizing avs if you want it, not sure if I can post it though and PM doesn't seem to be working yet.
-
Now that I can work this thing let me get on to the real stuff:
Tam - 15 from 9 - EXCELLENT results. Sending you lots of luck through the ether. Fertilise and cleave little eggies!
Ann - Good luck with the jabs tonight.
Marg and Chele? Updates?
Keen - good to see you are CD3. Hope you are ok. What is next for you hun?
Sue how is foot today? Can you email me the website - Kar AT bellybelly.com.au.
Daisy - hope you find the book good. I think I'll try to find the one you mentioned.
Blue, Sushee, Shez - you girls all hiding?
As for me: I went off to see my old naturopath yesterday. Hadn't seen her for 8 years we worked out. She is a kinesiologist mainly. She (and my arms & leg tests) had quite a lot to say about why I wasn't conceiving. Most of which seems to somehow relate to anger. Funny thing is I didn't know I was angry til she asked me to think about what makes me angry. I won't go into that here but ever since she mentioned it I've been simmering... So now booked into see a counsellor to see if I can't do something constructive with it.
-
Yep, love to email it.....can someone tell me how to do that from here?
Also, my av keeps changing of it's own accord???
-
Suz - I'll stick my email on my profile. Hang on a sec while I work that out...
ETA I just said to allow other members to email me but hanged if I work out what dif it made...
-
yay, then you can tell me how to do it...
-
maybe email isn't working but you do have a pretty icon in the right hand corner though. unfortunately, it's not email
i'll use my own email. hmmmm, but how are you going to read it?
-
Good point. My bellybelly email isn't working and I didn't get the email that Kelly apparently sent out earlier today about the move.
What about ICQ? I do have that.
-
hmmmm
is my av too bright on anyone's eyes?
I won't be offended, I can change it...
-
After all that, I just read Astro's request not to change them...whoops a daisy.
I've lost my pretty flowers and....I can't feel m' legs!!!
-
Tam what a sensational effort 15 Wow that is tops... No doubt you will get a great fertilisation rate and I am sure your PGD testing will go well...
Is that right sue, we arn't suppose to change our Avs?? Why not??
Love Leis xx
-
I think it has something to do with keeping all the avs uniform.
Mine kept changing itself back to the original one, but yours hasn't.
Why do you have 'child' under your name?
did you do that?
Love the puppy
Edited to add: I just noticed I'm a teen rager!!! Woohoo, where's the Southern Comfort that I'll drink straight with a girlfriend in the carpark instead of being at the disco where dad dropped me off....
-
LOL suziq about the child.. I don't know maybe it has something to do with our ages???
On another note...Very sad news tonight about little Sophie Delorinzo.. I can't believe life can be so cruel.. for those of you who remember her, she was one of the little girls who got badly burnt in the round house childcare centre fire in Manly in 2003, unbelieveabley today, she was hit by a car whilst in her push chair, crossing at a pedistrian crossing..she suffered a heart attack at the scene due to her horrific injuries, she was airlifted by the NRMA careflight helicopter to Randwick Kids Hospital, in a critical condition on life support.... how can life be so cruel.. with all my whinges and whines lately this certainly brings me down to earth and gives me a big reality check...
Lets all hope and pray for the brave little soul that she is....
Love Leis xx
-
Yes, that was so sad about Sophie. I think she's still critical.
I posted here earlier & just realised it didn't post.
Anyway, I've realised the age things relate to the number of posts. I can't wait til I'm a teen-rager, loved those days, lots of fun.
I think it was just drinking anything we could get! & cheap!!
Sue it's a shame you lost your flowers, I think you can ask for a change if you want.
Take care all, will be back with updates as my days go by.
-
congrates on 15 eggs Tam -
-
I think toddler, child, teenrager, grownup all relate to the number of posts we have made...
-
Bugger on losing your post Tam. Looking forward to sharing your journey with you.
How's everyone else going?
Chele and Ann, hope things are moving along nicely.
Marg - what stage are you up to?
Hope your research is helping Keen and Kar.
Vicki, looks like another perfect day on the CC for us.
Sush....hoping you can pop in soon.
Hi Blue and Bee and anyone else out there.
Yep, you're right Kar. Glad I'm not a 'crawler'... Ah, I have no idea now how I used to knock back capfuls of SC straight. The foot is fine when I'm wearing my steel cap work boots but starts to hurt when I remove them. Guess I'll go to work looking like Granny Clampett on Monday if this warm weather is still about.
And Leis, terrible news about little Sophie, there's info in the TV and News thread about it. I was just on another board which has a link to their 'wishes for Sophie' site, it's full already and I couldn't post! She's certainly an inspiration to us all - all those injuries but still always smiling.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
-
Hi Platinum members who still don't have their Avs updated (Tam?) need to go read this thread
-
Hi guys, back again with more info, I've got 8 embies so far.
I'm happy with, seeing as how I didn't think I stimmed well, only had about that number decent follies. I thought there must've been a few immature eggies in the total number.
Next call Monday.
Kar, I posted this morning about my av, and just noticed it's back again. Yah, I was starting to feel a bit left out. I do think big is better though.
Would like to see updates on everyone else too.
I'm off for an overnighter at my mum's, so catch you lovely ladies later, hope you enjoy your weekend. Our weather is a bit rainy.
Take care
-
Have to pop back, just realised I'm a kidlet, isn't that cute!!!!
-
Go Team Tam - 8 is great(visualise girl cheering with pink streamers)
Avs: Child must have changed to Kidlet. Is there anything in between Teen Rager and Grown Up? Hope so, I don't want to get to Grown Up!
I'm looking forward to getting my flowers back, guess it doesn't really matter about my legs.
-
Just wanted to say a quick hello and well done to Tam. 8 embies is fantastic! Here's hoping the next few weeks go just as wonderfully! xoxo
I finished the BCP yesterday (WOO HOO!) and now waiting for AF to arrive - usually takes a few days after finished BCP for it to start. Sniffing is going okay, getting the occasional light headache but not too bad yet.
Hope everyone else is well. xoxo
Marg

Hey Gals
Weldone on the new thread BB
Well Ann bugger I thought you and I were stimming together but you are only starting Lucrin so looks like I am lonesome again LOL
Kar finally I have an update for you mam I have been on night shift so please excuse my absence miss :) I had the dreaded first Peurgon Injection tonight of 150 so see what happens from here on in. Need to fork out another 135 bucks though for more synaral as will run out before scan on 15th they should make bottles bigger so get more than 60 doses out of em.
Congrats Tam on 8 embies so far so good.
-
well done tam, eight is great... I am sure you will get the result you are after... love leis xx
-
Wow Tam 8 embies are great, keep multiplying cells!
Firemansgirl, yes I am with Sydney IVF, Lismore, they are fantastic.
Well I had DH give me the jab last night, it wasn't that bad, it's just the anticipation of it. On Tue and Wed night though DH is working arfternoon shift so a GF of mine who is a nurse is going to pop around and give me the jab.
Hope everyone had a happy and safe weekend.
Yah, I'm finally back on the "I'm doing something train" (jabbing)
Luv Ann
-
Hello everyone
Tam- great news on numbers. sticky vibes sticky vibes
Anne- Hope all is going well with the Jabbing.
Marg- glad all is on track
Leis- It was just so sad to hear about Sofie. She and her family have just gone though so much already.
Sue- Was the weather good? Only joking, it was a great weekend. I worked at the Gosford show. Very long days and I am aching all over. My purse is very happy so that is the main thing. I was a bit sad I did not get to walk around and check it out. I was just way to busy.
Have to go I am afraid. DH is trying to cook dinner and of course needs help tonight! ( normally can do it fine) I am so tired and have tried to keep up with the new forum, so if I have missed anything I am so sorry. Hopefully will have more time during the week.
Hugs to you all
