Hey Kimy dont worry about it hun. Ive done that before. Im so sorry your feeling yuk. Im sort of getting over my flu but still have alot of gunk in my nose and throat. I really hope you get better soon. It so doesnt help the TWW does it. Makes you wonder why now do we have to be sick.

Thanks Missy. My best friend had a cold at the beginning of both of her pregnancies - something about her immune system being directed to looking after the new baby! It's a long shot - but maybe something we can hold onto...

BG - totally understand your self preservation - I discovered mine this morning when I did my HPT and found saw the double lines!

Now I know I should be over the moon about what seems to be a BFP but, I've realised that I'm not going to take the result seriously until I have the BT. So based on that I'm wondering why I did the HPT but I guess I needed to do it to see what I'd think of the results.

I should mention that I picked up a cold last Thursday so if I could have faith in my HPT result and take Kimberley's cold theory into account it's all looking good! No pg symptoms though.

So I'm happy, but holding back until I get the clinic confirm and get the ok on hcg levels etc

My DH is 52 and he is such an energetic father. We had counselling prior before he decided whether he wanted to have more children as he thought he was too old (he has 2 from a prev marriage). He is over the moon about being a Dad again. It def keeps him young - but then again what man actually acts his age!

Hopefully we'll have a few 'official' BFP's by the end of the week!!! My fingers are crossed for us all.

Oh kimy how good would it be if that was the case about the colds. Would be wonderful.

OMG - Im so excited for you Nat - it has made me really nervous about my BT now!! Its only one week tomorrow since I had the IUI txf - and a week on Thurs until I go for my BT. I havent decided if I am going to bother doing a HPT - im scared it will jinx me!

I used the Discover brand - I think Discover One Step? (have thrown out packaging already so no visitors see it laying around). It detects pregnancy up to 5 days before AF arrives and apparently can be used any time of the day.

I wasn't sure exactly how many cycle days I have - approx 30 - 31 so wanted one that would pick up early. I have no idea which ones to use - this is my first purchase of a HPT ever. The clinic sent the Clearblue OPK to calc my O date so I assume that is a good brand but Discovery was $5 cheaper so I went with it.

Hi Karena, yes I know what you mean about jinxing yourself, I guess I sort of feel that way myself but I wanted the experience of using a HPT just like those lucky women that conceive naturally do.

Though I must admit when the nurse rang me to let me know I was pg with #1, the emotion was incredible, bursting into tears on the phone - and then again when I rang DH to let him know - who of course assumed it was a BFN coz why else would I cry?!? ha, men!

awwww this is so exciting...Im so happy for you nat. Hmmm going to check which one I have, mine is called LifeTell. Hmmmm I hope mine gives me a BFP if I do it. Im just to scared to do it.

Nat have you got any symptoms yet???

Mine have all seemed to have gone but the other thing could have been from the gel im using.

I don't have any symptoms either - except for my flu which could be hiding everything! Guess I will find out on the weekend (have to find one of the lucky HPT's that give the double lines!)
Is anyone else using progesterone pessaries? I have been trying to find out a bit more about them as there was no information in the boxes. I also seem to be on a high dose - 3 x 200mg / day. I was originally given the crinone when I was to have my ET after the 1st IVF cycle, but as that transfer didn't happen, I had to give the gel back and was told to take the pessaries instead this time with my FET. Not sure what the difference is?

Missy, no symptoms yet. Feel a little like AF will arrive but I know that could be pg symptom - fingers crossed it's the latter. Not too sure but would expect AF to arrive Wed or Thurs if she was coming.

I can understand your why you're scared to use it - either way you will know for sure on Thurs!

hiya missy - i would honestly be doing the test tomorrow if i were you - every extra day you wait is just drawing out the agony for yourself!!

Kimberley - the cold/flu could be a good sign - i've heard lots of the girls on here say they've had colds during early pg gos their immune system isn't as strong - fingers crossed for you! my DH isn't too worried about being an older dad - i think it's more my own thing - i don't want to be putting him through extra stress than needed - but this is all theoretical - i know if we got to that point where we didn't have a bub (which i'm hoping we don't!), we'd re-evaluate the whole thing - and continue to do so each year!

Nat - that's awesome news!!! i'd be feeling pretty quietly confident (and yet at the same time ***** scared!) - can't wait til you get your confirmation BT. and yeah, i agree - why shouldn't we get the same joy of doing a HPT as all those other ladies?? it should be something provided with your AC package - a super sensitive HPT - we all deserve a keepsake!!

Hey BG, I agree with you, Missy, you should test, sounds like you're pretty anxious so it may not do any harm to your state of mind.

If your response to a HPT would be anything like mine - if it's a BFP you won't be confident until you get the BT and if it's a BFN then it may prepare you for a BFN on Thurs or alternatively give you an awesome suprise - I know heaps of women that have got BFN's on HPT's then had their BT a couple of days later and it's been a BFP. Of course it's up to you, whatever you are comfortable with - though I'm sure you'll be another successful IVF story as you were with your gorgeous DS.

BG, you will get pregnant! The stats on AC just keep getting better and better, we are all in really good care. Thank god there are some really smart people out there that gives us the opportunity we would not have otherwise. How are you feeling this week?

Not been able to check in since before the weekend, there were only a few pages to the thread then so "crikey" you've been busy!!!

I have a question, sure its nothing but, today I had my post ov BT, we just did IUI with clomid, triggers & boosters. The levels came back as 70 for the Progesterone & 1400 for the Oestrogen. I have never had anything that high before. I know anything over 35 is great for the P, the highest I've had is 60, the oestrogen I've not gone over 600 at this stage before.

Am new to this hormone level thing so anyone any thoughts? I am guessing its good, means I ovulated properly. We have been doing clomid & pregnyl for 4 months so seems strange they are higher this time.

Ok you lovely ladies. I will test tomorrow first thing and post straight away. My bt isnt till the 4th so If I get a BFN and no AF I hope bt comes up +
