Hi,

Interesting...
Just thought i'd add that on Friday i rang MIVF to change my address etc. The receptionist asked me for my surname, then my first name. THEN she said was your old address xxx, and i said yes, and she said 'what would you like to change it to?'. So i told her our new address. Then she asked if i needed to change the phone number too, and it was all over and done with that quickly.
As you say - if someone wanted to they could have done that quite easily - and they could (I guess) go and get my little frosties.
DH and I have never shown any proof of identity - just a medicare card - so they have nothing to compare to on file.
It's scary to think that something that is so precious and valuable to us is not as secure as it could be. They didn't even ask my middle name or DOB or name of my FS or anything like that.

Guess who I am with:rolleyes:
hmmm - you reckon we should let them hear our concerns?
I'm not normally a complainer IYKWIM? But this could technically be open to abuse.
I was just going to suggest that it may be an idea to take it up with those clinics that appear a bit lax in this department.
I suspect it would actually be quite difficult to obtain someone else's embryos by deception, but I wouldn't really want to put it to the test, either. Especially not with mine!

I wouldnt think that anyone would want to put themselves through infertilty treatment by choice.
I'm going to see how this how this cycle pans but pay more attention to what permission and what is actually signed or more what isnt signed
