Afm, I'm going to hang out here til I get my second BT, which is due tomorrow. I'm getting a bit nervous about it now... :/ If all's well, I'll bow out then, hopefully never to return!
Have any of you ever been on clomid? If so, did it cause mood swings/crankiness? AF is due tomorrow but I've just had a big change in my life, starting a new job last week after over ten years that has been a huge stress for me, so I'm not sure if now is the right time to be adding clomid to the mix. DH is desperate for me to get started on it though. Any thoughts, experiences, advice?

Sorry spoons I don't know much about chlomid but most ivf meds seem to mess with hornones and therefore mood too.

I called my fertility centre yesterday and I have decided to destroy the sperm samples I have stored, I have 2 frozen embies and have
decided to hopefully have ET in May with them both so that will be my last chance which I have decided is ok, it took a long time to get to that decision but sometimes you just have to know when to stop, so that will be my stopping point so I now have to get as healthy as possible and give it my best shot and hopefully it works. I'm not sure what happened this month cause my af is always on time and I have never had any issues but it did not come this month im not pg so im not sure, hopefully its not a sign of menopause

We have decided to go with Fertility Centre Dandenong, due to price and low stim cycles, as I petrified of the supposed side-effects from fertility drugs.
We have our first appointment next Friday with Dr.
Has anyone been there? Any positive/negative feedback?
How long will it take from now until we can start?
1moreplease good luck with the healthy lifestyle over the next few months. Have you looked at the www.natural-fertility info.com site for more ideas of things to eat that may help?? Fx that you get a bfp with the two embryos - lol if you have a multiple pregnancy from being so healthy.
AtticusBean good luck next Friday. Waiting to start the ivf process can sometimes be just as stressful as the tww. I found it was when I started in 2011,just wanted to start straight away but felt like it took forever to arrange.
Spoons, I don't have much experience with clomid either. I have done 6 stim cycles, with one fet that gave me my gorgeous DS {2012}.
Just had my egg retrieval this morning - 9 eggs. Usually get that many, with most fertilising but only manage to get 1 or 2 that get to 5day blastocyst stage for implanting. Nervous about finding out tomorrow how many fertilised, if lucky then sun 15th Feb will be embryo transfer day.
Great numbers hopeful mum. Hope they all divide nicely for you.
I heard from the clinic today and they have upped my pessaries to 4 a day. Im going to be a hormonal mess.

What dosage are the pessarries? I've been placed on one crinone daily and 2x200mg pessaries once daily. I've mentioned that I want to take another crinone, due to lack of sticky embryos in the past. Ivf nurse said wouldn't hurt, just going to be more build up of the cream that needs removing.

Hopeful mum. They upped me to 200mg twice daily. I asked my FS about whether I could take anything else to help the embie stick and he said no. He pretty much said that as long as the levels are high enough that taking anything else wasnt going to prevent bleeding or mc.
Popping in because I am too excited on the count down to getting of hrt. Only 4 days left!!! The we will see if my ovaries do anything to rebound in which case we start egg retrieval to freeze embryos around feb 23rd and ttc naturally for another 6 months. If not then we mpve straight on to using some of our 9 frozen embryos. So fingers crossed my silly 21 year old ovaries sort themselves out of there non function and do something! Anyone else going through melbourne ivf?

Just heard back that I have 5 out of the 9 eggs fertilised. More could, but won't know until next check which is this afternoon. Have to wait for update tomorrow after 10am. Aaarrrggghhhhh.
So hoping that I have at least 3 embryos that make day 5. That way at least 1 will be frozen for a fet cycle :-) Hasn't been the case in the past. Only tends to be 1 or 2 that survive and develop to a stage of being transferred or frozen.
Now to wait for sun transfer details so I can arrange acupuncture before and immediately after transfer. Trying more alternative methods with this cycle. Fx something works ! !
All my egg collections have been under general anesthetic. It's the transfer of embryos that is when we're awake.

Hello ladies. I got a BFP on hpt this morning! I got a squinter using fmu on Internet cheapie so tested again with 2mu using frer and the second line came up almost straight away! DH wasn't quite convinced so I tested again with clear blue digital and got 'pregnant 1-2'. He's still not 100% convinced so we're going to the GP to ask for a blood test lol. Silly man! I'll ask for a dating scan too as I'm not sure when I'm due as it's been a weird long cycle. Feeling pretty nervous and tentatively excited as it's my first BFP and just trying to carry on as normal.

Thanks guys. I just got back from the doctor. I'll have a dating scan in a couple of weeks and see him again after that. I had to give two urine samples and eight vials of blood.

I had my second BT yesterday. (Tuesday) and hcg is now 5100, which is apparently fine. My calculation say that the numbers doubled 3 times in 7 days, so that sound ok to me.
I will farewell you ladies now, and sprinkle masses of baby dust behind me as I go! I will be stalking, I'm sure for a while yet.
Hope to see pg announcements from everyone else here soon!

Hi ladies.
Found out that initially 5 of the 9 had fertilised. Some others were being looked at yesterday arvo. Well sort of happy to say that I have 7 embryos at 3 / 4 cell stage, BUT they have all fragmented due to my age (40 +). I have heard, ages ago, that this isn't a bad thing
Just worried that none will be viable to transfer this Saturday or Sunday :'(
Will know more tomorrow morning when I get my next update. Fx :-)

I don't know much about fragmentation hopeful mum but is there any chance they would put one back early as in tomorrow? Fingers crossed for aone good results in the morning.
My alarm didn't go off this morning so I was an hour late having my pessaries. Now im freaking out that ive ruined everything. I'm doing a medicated or programed FET which means I am totally relaying on the meds to the job my body should do. Could this mornings error mean that im destined to fail this cycle?

Jane, it doesn't matter about the pessaries. I once injected at lunch time instead of morning (thank goodness it wasn't the trigger lol) and the nurse said it would be ok. I honestly wouldn't worry about 1 hour, even if it was a few hours it would be ok. GL in your cycle also!
Juniper, I meant to reply to your message earlier, I'm sorry that your TTC journey is over. It's so hard to digest and accept, big hugs hun.
