So its a BFN for me sadly. Not sure what happens next... probably "more investigations" whatever that means. Feeling discouraged.
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Oh Jane I'm so sorry to hear that :(
Thanks for all the well wishes girls. Transfer went well, embryo progressed from 5 cells to 7 cells this morning and then when they got ready for transfer it had popped to 8 cells so fingers crossed!!! Blood test is booked for 3rd may but I'll start test from Thurs next week, that's when hubby goes back to work so I'd like to try and see if there is any line before he goes back.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
How long does everyone normally stim for? My first cycle was only 5 days (OHSS) second cycle was 7 days, and this time will be between 10-12 Days. A friend of mine stimmed for 3 weeks! What is the normal amount of time?
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Amy great news, :crossfingers: you get your bfp xxxx
Jane I'm so sorry
Adgirl think I stimmed for 12 or 13 days, not sure what the normal amount of time is sorry xxxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Hugs, Jane. So sorry this cycle didn't work for you.
Adgirl, everyone is different with these things. Don't compare your hormonal needs to those of others, we're all coming from different places.
Amy, FX it goes well for you!
Afm, I saw the FS last week. Still no results from the miscarriage, but we expect there were chromosomal abnormalities. We have a plan. We will repeat the last egg collection protocol, which was melanin and testosterone for a month, then a stim cycle. All embryos will be frozen at 3 days and tested for chromosomal abnormalities. Then they get grown on to 5 days and refrozen.
If any are chromosomally normal, they defrost again for transfer. If none are normal we stop trying.
I'm terrified. I just want another baby. And it is really expensive to have them tested- it costs $4200 for up to 4 embryos, and another $900 odd for each additional one. If we only get one or two, it still costs $4200. (!)
But we have to know this, cos if every egg is bad, we are saving ourselves a lot of heartache and money by not keeping on trying.
It sucks. :(
And we'll have to delay the next cycle by a month or two cos we're moving house in 5 weeks. So much stress.
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
I know I shouldn't compare myself I just always wonder if what is happening is the right thing if that makes sense?
Pholi: what s difficult position to be in no advice just hoping that what ever you decide brings you a happy healthy baby at the end of it
Hopeful mum: hope the transfer went well and the tww isn't too challenging and stressful
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Ad girl I think my stim was 10-14 days
Hopeful mum I hope transfer went smoothly.
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Wow pholi thats super pricey!!! Will be well worth it in the end though. I've got everything crossed for you! And I know what you mean about the stress situation, we are going to be moving soon as well.
Adgirl - it really depends on what protocol you are on, but generally my a time have been 8 - 11 days.
Hopeful mum - I hope everything went well with your transfer. I was exactly the same, totally stunned that it survived and when they told me it kept expanding I couldn't believe it!
Afm - I've taken it really easy today. My transfer was quite painful yesterday, I've got a tilted uterus and getting in can be quite tricky. My uterus was contracting like I was in labour but it finally subsided and they managed to get the embryo in. Today I've still been a bit crampy on and off. My mum and dad came and took my son out for half the day and I just chilled on the couch and watched a movie. Then they came home and I put him down for a sleep and that was 3 hours ago and he is still asleep! I can't believe it! Hubby flies home from work tonight, can't wait xxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Hi ladies. Transfer went well. Have been resting today, and also have tomorrow off from work. So tubby puff I'm in the tww now :-)
Pholi good luck with the testing. If this doesn't work, then it's also something that I will be looking at, other than maybe some surgery on my fybroid??
Night ladies xo.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Had a slightly rougher morning today at my scan, follicles are ok but aren't developing as quickly as they should. So puregon up to 150 a day and starting Luveris (LH) as well. Scan Monday and if that ok EPU Wednesday. She told me to still be prepared to have it cancelled and that if we go ahead expect between (5-8) eggs and maybe only 1 or 2 embryos

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
I have a question, I have just had my blood test come back and at day 3 my FSH is 7, but with my age being 41 that's not that good anyway
is it? not sure. Thanks
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
No advice 1moreplease only to say I struggle with FSH to (mine was 29). Are you worried its low or high?
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
I'm not sure if its ok for my age and even if it is ok does it mean much being the age I am?
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
OK got the rest of my blood test results and Estrogen is 314 and Progesterone .6 on a day 3 blood test , estrogen seem high and progesterone seems low????
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
1mp sorry no help here. I never really understand all the numbers and what they mean.
Hopeful mum and Amy - hope you are feeling well after transfer.
Hang in there Adgirl. Crossing everything that your cycle isnt cancelled. Remember you only ever need 1 embryo.
Pholi its good to hear you have a plan moving forward. Hoping the extra $$ ends with a great result.
Afm. Bfn confirmed yesterday. Tubbypuff can you move me back to the top of thw list. I have an appointment with FS on 6th May to discuss whats next.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
I just woke up and threw up all my morning medication my rule with my Addison's disease as (I'm dependent on oral steroids or I will die) means if I throw up twice I go to hospital for IV meds. So I pages my FS who isn't sure what going on but told me to take a Zofran wafer some more steroid. She said if it happens one more time my cycle is cancelled and I'll be admitted to hospital. I'm so scared [emoji17]

I injected myself with Maxalon and haven't been sick since but feeling really gross sore, headache etc called fertility specialist to tell her and she said it's certainly not related to the IVF drugs so idk
Jane: how are you feeling?
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #2
Take care adgirl. Feel better soon.
I am doing ok. Its hard sometimes. Particularly having so many ppl around me having bubs or announcing they are pregnant. But other times I feel ok and am just getting on with things.
