Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Getting my glucose intolerance tests done. One blood test done and I'm half way through the two hour wait period before being retested. Fingers crossed I pass. I really don't need an extra diavetes hurdle in my ttc journey. Should have results by the end of the week.

-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Razzberry I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully your stay here is short x
Jane how did your glucose test go? Bugger that you will need clexane to combat your clotting disorder. I was hoping treatment would have been easier for you x
Hi Adgirl. How are you finding the estrogen and prednisone? I felt horrible last time I was taking that combination. Gave me lots of bloating etc. Great that you've had a couple of regular cycles though :) x
1mp how are you feeling? Hope you're not in too much pain x
I'm plodding along still. CD13 today after clomid CD4-8. Clearly clomid is as effective for me as when I tried it years ago. Proper AF finished up on CD6 and I have had constant spotting / light bleeding since. 3 more weeks till we meet with our FS and hopefully get a plan in place...
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Hey jasmine
I've gained 7 kg in 3 months got stretch marks, my face is horribly bloated and my skin itches constantly but it's worth it.
It's saving me from menopause and I already take steroids (cortisol) as I'm steroid dependent so I'm trying to look at the bigger picture. I hop you have success with the clomid

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
I don't have diabetes. Woo hoo! One hurdle jumped. Now just got to wait for AF to start natural FET cycle with clexane injections and progesterone pessaries from the time of transfer. Think we might also be trying a pipelle biopsy before transfer to increase the chance of implantation. This may sound crazy but I'm feeling hopeful about this next cycle - think my transfer could actually end up being on the same day our baby was due to be born. Feels like things could come full circle.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Excellent news Jane! What a relief you got the all-clear from Diabetes! I've heard good things about the pipelle biopsy and implantation, my FS was featured in an article about pioneering the procedure in WA :) I love the idea of everything coming together full-circle for you :crossfingers::bluedust:
AFM I had my CD10 appointment this week. Everything is looking well on track, we will have transfer on this Thursday 16th! I have two day5 embies in the freezer - a 4AB and 5BB - the embryologist wants to use the 5BB first.
And UGH I do not miss pessaries!! I'm on 3 x P4's and an EP combo everyday now, yuck. And pricey!

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
I rang my FS today to let them know I want to do the pipelle biopsy before my FET in September and she said ok and to ring
when af arrives in august, they don't do the biopsy when you have af do they? does anyone know when its done in your cycle?
All I know is its done the cycle before your FET, Thanks
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
ReeRee how did your transfer go today? I have been thinking about you x
Jane, great that you don't have diabetes and are feeling optimistic about your next cycle x
Frog how are you going? Have you tested or still waiting on AF? X
1mp.. I have no knowledge at all on the pipelle biopsy. Hopefully someone else can help! X
Tabby puff how are things going? How is your study going? X
I've been trying to log on here for days and couldn't get on!! We met with our FS yesterday as we got a call earlier in the week to say an appointment had become available. I was CD 19 yesterday. Had a scan and amazingly had 1 mature follicle (thanks to the recent clomid) that was yet to ovulate. FS gave me a trigger of Ovidrel to get things moving and organised our paperwork / bloods to start ivf! Given my low AMH he's not keen to waste any time.. So we commence ivf as soon as my period arrives in a couple of weeks. He has recommended another Elonva cycle with boosters of Gonal F. Feel a little in shock that things are happening so quickly this time. I have been taking CoQ10 and Omega 3's for the past few months so will be interesting to see if it helps!
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Update here I'm stopping estrogen tomorrow continuing the prednisolone during the potential upcoming cycle. I will be scanned on Tuesday and bloods done day 2 of withdraw bleed when/if that comes. So hopefully I'm about to start a cycle. If this cycle fails we are no longer stimulating and I will be officially classed as menopausal which I know is coming. Trying to focus on my 8 beautiful frozen embryos

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
I start my course next week Jasmine :) I'm so nervous and excited about it haha
Adgirl I hope everything goes well and you don't have to use your frosties yet :)
Hoping everyone else is well xx
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Has anyone used Letrozole?
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
TP your course sounds really smart and interesting, you'll rock it!
1mp I don't have any experience with the pipelle myself sorry. I'd say they just want you to ring on day 1 so it can all be set up for you?
Frog where are youuuuu
Thanks for thinking of me today Jasmine :) I've been unable to log in from my phone (something about incorrect password even though I haven't logged out), can only use my laptop. Hooray for everything starting to get moving towards IVF very soon!
Adgirl all the very best for your upcoming cycle, hopefully those frosties can stay put for a while longer yet.
Transfer day today!! Everything was looking "textbook perfect" and went very smoothly according to the FS, ultrasound tech and embryologist! I had a day5 blastie transferred, graded 5BB. It thawed perfectly and it was so exciting watching that tiny little dot go into my uterus :D Man that 30-minute wait to go to the loo afterwards was torture though! And now the 2WW begins, where I (unsuccessfully) try to go about my daily routine without analyzing every little 'symptom'
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Ree Ree So excited for you and so happy everything went well, good luck with not analysing every little system lol, :crossfingers:

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
So glad your transfer went well today ReeRee! Hope the TWW goes quickly for you with a strong bfp at the end ;)
I had the same log in problems yesterday and this morning but brought the issue up with Kelly and it's all fixed now :) I too was only able to log in on my laptop (but it's tempramental at the best of times) so I'm glad to be able to use my iPad again!

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Hi All, sorry I haven't been in here all week. Ive been reading along but my account wouldn't work so I couldn't post.
Congrats Ree Ree on your transfer. Did you check with FS if she put a pink embie back ? ;)
Good luck Adgirl. I really hope this is the cycle for you.
1mp. I think we might be doing the pipelle biopsy too. Its apparently a quick and easy process tgat is done a few days before transfer.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all traveling ok.
AFM waiting for AF. Gettibg excited (but nervous) about next cycle.
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
Thanks so much for all the well wishes everyone!
LOL Jane, when she finished telling me how the embie was doing after thaw she says 'do you have any questions?' and I said 'yes, is it a boy or a girl?' and she just laughed

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
...sneaking in... girls I have had three pipelle biopsys and got pg twice so am a big fan. Its done about 7 days before you ovulate. The second time I had it done they requested it too early and I feel thats why I didn't fall pg. Its pretty painful and you get cramps afterwards with a bit of blood loss but its nothing compared to what we go through. Take a panty liner with you. The hardest part for me was getting an appt with my gp to get it done as she is booked out months in advance. She usually did it for me in her lunch hour. CD1 I would ring the clinic. Good luck.....

-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2015 #3
1mp- that's strange to me. Its obviously done to improve the flow in your uterous. It repairs the puncture the biopsy does so its all fresh. I would think waiting a month would defeat the purpose. She obviously is more qualified then me lol. Brace yourself :)
-
