Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception - April 2008

Well I am back from my weekend away and you are dying to know.
Couldn't wait poas yesterday and it came with wait for it a BFN.:doh:
Although Af still has not arrived. Been cramping all weekend and my boobs have only every been this sore twice before in my life. When I fell preg with DS and breast feeding so my fingers are still crossed. Wonder when I should try POAS again.I was nearly seven weeks when it showed up for DS.
Well holidays are over and back to work tomorrow. Will keep you all posted as to what happens.

Saph I have everything crossed that this is the BFP for you and the test is juts to early sweet. Your body sounds like it is on its way.

TL your soo +ive thats awesome and i know it will pay off for you, its not only the energy around you but also what you put out. I also agree about TMI you just end up doing your own head in and at the end of the day if its meant to be then its meant to be. I am a very big believer that everything happens for a reason, if when it is so difficult to see at the time.
Marsha: dont know? i am a shocker and if it was me i would be at work, but everyone keeps telling me to take it easy and i think if you can then you should. (this coming from the person who decided to rip up grass today for a veggie patch and had to give up half way through due to sore tum and hot flushes :rolleyes:) so probably not the best person to comment.
Bailey: how are you going? Really hope your feelin better and those little embies are making themselves comfy.

hey scooby - how r u hun? yeah all good here - had a temp rise this morning which i was happy about mainly cos it is the highest i have temped but fully aware that it can take a dive tomorrow. the acupuncturist found that my spleen was a little on the weak side when previously it had been ok so he's just making sure that if there is a little bod inside at the mo that he or she stays sticky (cos the spleen plays a major part in all that according to chinese medicine).

I fully respect how hard you girls are doing it and take my hat off to ur courage and strength - ur all very inspiring to me. :grouphug:

I'll come back later when I am feeling more with it to catch up on personals. Would you believe it, I have a cold! Start sniffing tomorrow and I feel like crap. So I am at home trying to recover as much as possible before tomorrow. Spoke to a nurse this morning and she said that I should be okay as long as I clear my nose as much as possible before sniffing and then try not to sneeze for 10 mins afterwards.

Just my luck! After all this waiting to start sniffing. That's Murphy's Law for you!

Welcome Bailey. First i want to say that you are not alone. We all have these "depression" moments. When everything just feels so hard and we constantly ask "Why me?" No one in my family has had problems conceiving either so its really taken me some time to accept it but i always think that it will just make my bond with my child so much more stronger because i will remember what it took to get him/her here. It must be so hard for you to be away from DH. This might sound silly but is it possible to have his sperm flown over to Spain and to have the treatment there? Best of luck with this cycle. I would also consider moving clinics. I would not be happy with my dr if he was so negative the way you mentioned your was.

i got this heat pack thing that is also a massager that plugs in and i'm plugged in now, it's on my tummy as af is not being nice to me this month. i get a bad af every 3 or 4 months . well af came on time although it was a little slow to start. i'm flooding and got clinic visit in morn, rang to check with them.
all is going well and i'm telling myself this is my last af for 9 months!

Well justa quick update. Nothing to report so I rang the clinic I know I was spose to wait until wed but i have to work on wed so couldn't get to the clinic anyway. So off for a blood test tomorrow.:crossfingers: Hard to be compltetly positive as HPT was negative and you dont want to get hopes up. Will let you know what happens.

Oh Saph GL for tomorrow..you just never know..maybe you tested to early for the HPT....mine came up BFN......so it proves it can be wrong....GL sweetie Ill be thinking of you..make sure you let us know as soon as you can!!!! :hug::pray::goodluck2::excited:

thanks Carla just keping my fingers crossed at least we will know what direction we are heading in instead of this waiting. We are either up the duff (Charming but it sounds so funny) or heading for another tracked cycle. Either way we will have a direction forward. Will let you know asap.

Scan yesterday gave us the all clear we started the stims so back for a scan next Tues :cheer: operation baby is now fully underway!

my ET done last friday, its only after dat i feel too bloated
e OHS, in a couple of days it can subside, remain e same or get worse.
doc say if it can worse, greatter chances i gonna have BFP, there's however a probable chance of BFP/BFN if it remain e same or subside....now i dont know wat to hope for

Hi all, haven't had a chance to catch up on personals, but am making my return to the thread :) It's been nice to take a couple of weeks away from thinking about all this stuff, but I guess it's time to throw myself back into it.

Had my Day 21 appt yesterday and picked up some drugs to start me off this cycle. We are trying an antagonist cycle with Orgalutran at my request. I hate Synarel with a passion so anything to get me out of sniffing the evil drug! We are also starting me at 150iu gonal-f, they wanted me to start at a lower amount but I am not willing to risk having my cycle cancelled again, have been through that too much.

Honestly, I don't think I'm ready to put myself through all of this again, but we are doing it anyway. Financially it makes sense to take as much advantage of the safety net as we can, so here we are. I'm just so scared of something else going wrong. I can deal with getting a negative result at the end of the cycle, just not all the stuff before that, understimulation, not making it to transfer.

well i had my clinic visit this morn and check ovaries. all is well. i start Gonal F on thursday 225 i u s
so i'll be doing this at night so i can just relax aftwards.
bit scared when i saw the needle today, it really feel real now.
they've booked scan in on Fri 9th of may. eeeekkk!!!!

Girls - I don't know how to tell you this and I am shaking as I write but I am very weak and couldn't help POASing this morning even tho I said I was going to wait til Sat when AF is due. Anyway, I got a bfp - and it wasn't even FMU. I am only 12dpo so I guess I just need to wait til Sat to POAS again and then see how I go from there - day by day. I am very very nervous but totally aware that I could m/c early and even if I don't, my past m/cs have left me with a lot of issues about seeing u/s's with no heartbeat present. If all goes well and I get to see a heartbeat, I will truly feel this one's for real. I can't believe I am actually giving you all this news, I knew I felt strange and just had to know if it was in my head. Whatever happens, I am not robbing myself of the joy of receiving a bfp ...... finally! U all r the only ones who know besides my DH (not telling anyone else for the longest time) and I'm getting teary just thinking of how much you all mean to me and how grateful I am of ur support and strength. From the bottom of my heart - thankyou.:grouphug:

Bec - welcome back honeybun - I know what you mean about using the safetynet - I could (and usually do) cry at how much money we spent last time. It's funny but my FS now refers to it as a really bad cycle but at the time she was positive. Also found out that I should have used Crinone with FETs - she never said anything at the time and I feel like an idiot for not asking. c'est la vie I suppose!
TL - Honey 2008 is our year - I just know it!
Paula - I think we all want to be at that party (drinking juice of course!)

Well had BT this morning to check what stims are doing although im day 6 of stims im really bloated and crampy :pray:i dont get OHSS drinking loads of water and the nurses told me gatorade so will get stuck into that. Well goodluck everyone and cant wait to hear the news saph!!!!

Well just had my phone call and I am still mid luteal phase so should have Af within the next ten days.

Saph does that mean you have to wait 10 days to find out if you get your BFP?
