Hey all and thank you for the welcomes :)
mitf - sorry and hug. Yeah if this doesn't take I would want to take a month off too. What's is the norm guys.. do you girls go straight back into it??
Tracy - I def started feeling bloated and ovary pain straight away
They got 17 eggs today... feeling right sore!! This is my first go - jeepers not usually a winger but I can't even sit down on the couch and I am sooo afraid of going to the toilet and ahem :o My ovary paain lessened off but now its the mid to back region which is painful... waddling around like a duck at the moment ;)
-
Cass & Krikkit - sounds like your follies are coming along nicely. Keep us posted on when your EPU will be. I think you'll be about a week ahead of me.
Onja - Congratulations on 17 eggs!! That's great news. Fingers crossed that you get good fertilisation rates.
Tracy - how are going? I too should warn you that bloating is just part of the IVF journey. Hope you can find some comfy clothes to wear.
Mitf - already PM'd you but didn't want to leave you out of my reply. Hope you're going ok.
AFM - Have had 4 gonal-f injections so far and have my first U/S and BT tomorrow to check progress. Not feeling too bloated (yet), but I'm sure that will come soon enough. At this stage, my EPU is scheduled for Friday 4th Sept, but that will all depend on how quickly / slowly thing are developing I guess. I'm hoping it's the Friday though, so I have the weekend to recover.
Have decided that I'm doing this cycle with 100% positivity this time around (am usually pretty pessimistic and always expecting the worst to happen). This time though, I'm only going to be positive with my fingers crossed that this cycle is going to be the one.
Wishes xoxo

Bloating anyone?
Okay I officially feel like a duck :o Woweee am I swollen and sore!
Got the call from the nurse, out of the 17 collected 7 have fertilised :pinksperm:
Now for stage two which is cell biopsy for PGD - Will hear tomorrow.
Jeepers am so uncomfortable - can't even sit down. Nurse is obviously worried there is OHSS so will see if I get any worse
-
Onya - The best best advice I can give you is to rest all you can, and drink water, the longer you lay down after EPU the quicker you will recover, and wow ... Well done on a great EPU
-
ouch on the EPU pain Onja, I hope it goes soon.
Im good today, so far and blaoting isnt as bad as yesterday wierd.
But I had to tell you all this.......I staggered out of bed, half asleep....snorted my Synarel and whacked a needle in my tummy, then realised I hadnt dialed up the dose yet:doh::doh::doh::doh:
What an idiot:doh::doh::wall:
Like as if I really like stabbing myself in the stomach:rolleyes:
-
Tracey:rofl:
Ohh that made me laugh... and it hurts to laugh but also felt good!
Don't you all think these hormones make you super dopey!! I have been doing some dopey stuff whilst taking these hormones. Sometimes I couldn't even remember basic words... felt like Homer Simpson: "food - need dig.. metal.. thing"

Hi Girls,
It has been a long while since I have posted in here, as I have been on a break. I have been doing my best to keep up with everyone and have been quietly cheering all BFP's from the sidelines.
Now that I'm ready to tackle TTC again, I thought I would actively start posting again.
So here I am and here's what I'm up to;
* IVF #1 - 7 eggs collected, 3 made it to freezer as blast. ET cancelled.
* Few months break for a number of reasons.
* Just started a natural FET cycle and will transfer on Monday.
Well that's me & my emotions are totally all over the place and I'm a little freaked out.
Looking forward to chatting and sharing this with you all.
SB
Sorry for the 'me' post, just thought I needed to introduce myself. :D
-
Tracy - I had such a laugh when you said about jabbing yourself without dialling up the dose. I do my injections at night, which, considering what happened to you, is probably a much safer option, because I'd probably end up doing the same thing as you.
Onja - great results on the fertilisation. Good luck with the PGD. Hope it all works out.
AFM - had first U/S scan today. Not much happening yet, but I kind of expected that after only 4 nights of injections. We measured about 7 follies, but they only ranged between 8-10mm. Then there were about another 12 on the radar under 10mm that we didn't measure. So still have a ways to go yet. My blood test showed estrogen at 718 which is pretty good I think, and my uterus lining was 5mm (which is not great, but it's early days for me, and I expect it will get to 8mm by next week).
So I have another BT and U/S on Thursday, as FS is looking for leading follicle at 14mm, and when we get that, I'll be starting Cetrotide injections to keep ovulation at bay (synarel doesn't work for me - I ovulated when I was using it for my first IVF cycle, so I'm now on Cetrotide instead which seems to work much better for me).
Wishes xoxo
-
Star-bright - I think we were posting at the same time. Welcome back :welcome:
Hope your FET goes off without a hitch next week. Fingers crossed for a great result ending in a BFP.
Wishes xoxo
-
Thanks Wishes. That's great that you get so much info from the FS. I have to be really pushy to get info from my nurses. Sending you lots of growing vibes.
-
Thanks Star-bright. And when it comes to FS, nurses and getting results, I'm a bit of a control freak. I like to know exactly what's going on with hormone levels, follicle size, uterus lining thickness....you name it. If nothing else, it gives me something to compare from one cycle to the next so I know how I'm progressing (not that I'm hoping there'll be many more cycles).
Wishes xoxo

BT Results
Evening ladies,
How are we this evening? Hope all is going well with everyones cycles etc. Hope were not feeling too sore, bloated moody etc lol.:p
Yesterday was day 12 of my 10units of Lucrin Injections as well as day 3 of my Puregon Injections 175 IUs. Today though was BT day for my Puregon levels. Got the call this afternoon and must admit, am a bit disapointed. I know I shouldnt be but I just cant help it. The lovely nurses called and let me know that they had the BT results which showed that my body is responding slightly to the Puregon Injections but not as much as they had hoped it would of at this early stage. They have spoken with my FS who had asked that I up my Puregon from 175 to 200 per day. Am a bit disapointed at the result and that my body isnt responding too well. Is this a sign of things to come maybe???
So tonight was my first at 200IUs. Fingers crossed my body jumps to attention and reacts appropriately.
Next step, keep taking the 10 units of Lucrin each day, keep taking the Puregon now at 200 IUs and then this Friday, off for US and BT again!.
When I told DH he assured me that all would be good and also let me know that I worry about too much lol.
Tracey - Oh deary me. Like all the others, you too had me in stiches. Im sure though that its easy enough to do if your half asleep.
Wishes - Good work on the folicle growing. Fingers crossed those little guys grow more and more everyday.
Onja - Hope your feeling better this evening and even though Im yet to experience EPU, i say rest up and drink plenty of fluid. Be kind to yourself :) Oh yeah WOW and congratulations on your EPU. Fingers are crossed for you. Myself and DH are also going through PGD. It is hard to swallow the statistics of it all hey!!!
Mitf - ((hugs)) for the BFN
I sincerely hope everyone is well and everything is heading in the right direction.
Well best be off ladies. DH is calling to show me something on the other PC and then its time for zzzzzzz.
-
Ah, Tracy, if it makes you feel any better, I've done exactly the same thing! The perils of early morning meds, huh?
-
Tracey - I have also done the same thing with my injections, although I can't blame sleepiness as it was in the evening. I was just rushing and completely distracted.... it did teach me to give my injections my full undivided atttention!
Motherhood - it's quiet normal for you to be started on a lower dose and increased. Everyone reacts differently and being IVF#1 it's best to play it safe and avoid OHSS. All the best for a sucessful cycle.
Wishes - I have been the same with my clinic nurses and have written everything down. As you say I figure it will be good to compare notes next time. GL for your next scan tomorrow.
Starbright - welcome back and all the best for your FET on Monday. FX that this little one sticks!
Onja - great results from your EPU. I hope your PGD assessment goes well and you have lots of great little embies, plus that the bloating has subsided and you are felling more comfortable. Re your earlier question - I think most FS recommend you take a month off after a full stim cycle but you can do FET back to back.
AFM - I am feeling a little lost with the thought of a month off. I guess I am so used to putting so much time and energery in to TTC. Not to worry I have decided it's probably a good time to catch up on a few things around the house and I am going away this wend which will be a nice distraction. In the mean time I will be sending all my positive vibes and energy towards all you lovely ladies.
mitf xo

Im glad i gave you all a laugh, sorry if it hurt lol. I thought you girls would be the only ones who could possibly appreciate such stupidity lol, its nice to see Im not toally alone and yes it does make you dopey:doh:
Welcome back Starbright, I hope this is your cycle:pray:
Motherhood here I come- dont be hard on yourself hun, I know its hard not to be, but its not all over, its just taking a little extra kick along ((hugs))
wishes- sounds like things are happening for you, thats definitly a positive, I hope those follies keep growing nice and strong
Onja- how are you feeling today? ((hugs))
Mitf- enjoy your weekend away and whilst I can totally understand your dissapointment at having a month off think of it as a time for your body to re-coup for the next round ((hugs))
AFM- I came hoem from work last night in agony, my entire pelvic area hurt and the pain was running down my legs. I found it so hard to get off to sleep. Feeling a lot better today, although I still have some pain. TG I have two days off now. Im thinking well its a sign that 'something' is happening. Trying so hard to stay positive, but its hard sometimes

I need some advice here...this might be a really silly question and maybe a bit TMI
I just had a big chuck of EWM on the TP like more that I would normally have right before ovulation is that a bad thing? Is that normal?
Just worried I might ovulate and the cycle might be cancelled, not sure whether to ring the clinic or not, its a bit embarassing:redface:
anyone??
Oh and fyi I am on CD 7 injection day 6 I have my first BT & US on Friday
-
Hi Ladies
Vira - thanks hun. I hope AF has arrived for you and you can move on.
Tracy - GL on Friday. Sorry I can't answer your question but I will be hoping for you that you havnt ovulated and you have a good BT.

Nix - GL today, hope you get some gr8 eggs!

Cassl80 - Hope you are going ok - not too sore and all the best for your EPU. Your follies sound good to me.
Motherhood here I come - Sorry about your struggles - hope you get there soon.
Juniper - Hope you wont need your IVF in Nov. Hoping it happens naturally. That is for both you and I.
Onja - hi and :welcome: 7 fertlising is great. All the best with your cycle - hope it ends in a BFP for you. :crossfingers: So sorry you have OHSS.
Krikkit - GL for your cycle. Hope you're not in too much pain.
Mitf - so sorry hun, can't imagine what that is like. Feeling for you and I hope you can get back on the horse ASAP. :comfort:
Star-bright - Hi and welcome back. All the best with your transfer Mon. :crossfingers:
-
Just a quick one, as I'm at work.
Tracey- the ewcm is normal. I had tonnes of it while stimming. I think it's all the extra hormones. HTH.
Bbl :)
