I'm currently taking some I get from my acu (CoQ10 with alpha lipoic acid), but they're $40 for 30 tablets, so I was thinking I might take the Swisse ones with them to bump up the dose to 600mg.

Just hoping I can relax and get a good nights sleep as it will be a very hectic morning. Kinder drop off followed by an accu session before & after transfer.

Andie- those numbers sound really good. I hope you end up pleasantly with you day 5 numbers.
J.bear- how exciting, try not to worry yourself being nervous, it will be over before you know it.
AFM- I'm excited or Saturday but had a friend ask the question today "when are you having kids?" and it made me start thinking how when we started seeing our FS we were sure we would end up pregenant in no time, and even after our first egg Retreval I was so positive that it would work. With no physical problems with me or DH and great looking embryos, I was sure we would be pregenant in no time, but today I actualy thought for the first time it
may never happen. I feel like if there is nothing to fix how is doing the same thing over and over going to help? Sorry for putting a damper on things, just thinking out loud and feeling very fed up.

MrsMac I know what you mean, it can feel like it will never happen and that thought alone is crushing but all you can do is try. Those awful thoughts cross my mind but i know i have to try to shift my thought to the here and now and be optimistic. I really hope that your dream does come true very very soon :comfort:

Thanks ladies, feeling much better today. I think the meds may be stuffing me around. Started to cry and the radio this morning and cried last night at a phone bill LOL. I only have to work half a day today so I'm super excited, DH is meeting me after work so we can spend the afternoon together in this wonderful Sydney weather.

I hope your afternoon in the Sydney sun wasn't too badly affected by the wind. It looked a bit wild outside my office's window. Will be thinking of you and wishing you all the beat for this weekend.
Jbear And Andie, thoughts and wishes are with you too.
Hi to everyone else.
Afm, four sleeps til we pick up our first round of IVF meds. I just feel happy that we are doing something proactive. The next few weeks are going to be crazy busy and I love it. Have you guys experienced many side effects from synarel (I think that's what I'll be starting with).
M.
miloro, I'm sorry to say that, for my first IVF, I had bad s/e from the synarel. I found it made me tired and impaired my cognitive function (I was forgetful and easily confused). I had trouble remembering even common words at times and decided that I was unsafe to drive after almost veering off the road a couple of times because I was disoriented. Thankfully, very few people have that sort of problem with it and it wasn't as bad the other 3 IVF cycles for which I used it. In fact, last time I had almost no s/e at all! Consider mine a worst-case scenario. Most people just feel tired and have a headache, if they have any s/e at all...
:happybirthday: Emma
transfer went really well this morning. Lab tech said that the thaw couldn't have gone any better and embie was already starting to show signs of moving to its next stage. Best birthday pressie ever! :p:D:pray:
Good luck for transfers over the weekend Andie and Mrs Mac!
Happy Bday Joe and Emma hope u have had great day x
Good luck with transfers girls sending lots of sticky vibes.
Have a nice weekend everyone.
AFM pick up Monday praying for some great looking eggs, trying to keep sane and be positive! X
Happy birthday Emma and Joe :)
GL to everyone wherever you are in your cycle, especially EPU and transfers xoxo
Well my great afternoon plans with DH didn't go exactly to plan thanks to the crazy winds that hit Sydney. But hay, you can't win them all.
I hope your birthdays were wonderful Emma and JoeSpratt
Miloro I can't help you with the synarel but to be honest the meds I took gave me less side effects then I thought, really any effects I had were very mild. So try to go with the flow, everyone responds differently.
That's great news JoeSpratt, let's hope that was a super sticky embie.
Blossom I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend before the big day. FX you get some good looking eggs.

Miloro, I found the syneral fine :) just keep a bottle of water or juice or something, as there's an after taste that kicks in a few minutes after you sniff... It's kind weird cause you think it will be immediate, but it's not :)
It is weird spraying something up your nose, and my nose was probably a bit dryer than usual, but I didn't have any symptoms per se....
Good luck!!!
Sorry girls, seriously have tried to get my head around where everyone is, but can't seem to focus on more than one of you at a time... So tonight Miloro is the lucky lady.
I will just nick off and hide in my little hole for a bit longer, but am stalking and will pop in and out as I can manage. Hitting me a bit harder than I expected this arvo.
Joespratt hope you had a great birthday.
Good luck to you all with snorting, jabbing, waiting and any other part of your cycle you are up to.
My turn there is not much I can say but thinking of you always xo and I hope tomorrow is a little bit of a better day for you.
Hi ladies, I am officially PUPO with one day five embie. So I'm off the the TWW. XOXO

miloro - i just had mild headache from syranel, not every day though.
woot fingers and toes crossed mrs mac! :crossfingers:
happy birthday (belated) to emma and joe
nice work J.bear!
afm - seriously! over IT. my insides are hurting like a mofo and a post gonal f injection (after about 3-4hrs) of nausea and vomiting, then I instantly need to sleep then wake up feeling like I have a really bad hangover.
EPU has been postponed to day 13 (tues) rather than Monday. I had 12 follies coming up.
Also found out that our clinic has changed protocol and is no longer freezing day 3's - they grow them out till blasty, none of mine ever made it that far apart from DD but she was put back at day 3. A bit disheartening to think that maybe we will come out of this with nothing left to freeze.
krikkit, that doesnt sound good... are they worried about ohss with those symptoms? ive never heard of gonal f infection...? bit odd re: only doing day 5 freeze too... surely they let you choose that?! i hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Thanks ladies, I'm feeling pretty horrible today, woke up with a massive headache & can't get rid of it. But otherwise I'm ok, happy with the numbers just keen to see how they went over the last two days.
Krikit that sounds really intense, I hope u are starting to feel better.
Back to bed for me, will catch up on everyone tomorrow xo
Hi Juniper, thanks for adding me to the list. I am CD20 2dp5dt if I have got it right!
I just had a bad sore throat and I am taking antibiotics (catalogue A which is safe for pregnancy). My period will come in a week time, should I cancel the cycle or continue doing it?
I've had a cold each time I've done a Stim cycle :) was so snotty and stuffed up, but they still put me under for EPU....
Unless you really feel like you can't do it... It will probably be fine ;)
xox
Hi Rosemarry, I think it depends on the exact nature of your cold/flu. If you have a productive cough and chest congestion, they can be reluctant to do the EPU because of the risks it poses with regard to the anaesthetic. It will be best for you to discuss it with your Dr or clinic to find out their specific requirements/conditions. It would be terrible to turn up on EPU day and be told you can't do it. The antibiotics should not be a problem because many (American) clinics prescribe ABs as part of their standard IVF protocol. It could actually have some benefits for some women.
You may also want to consider if you want to proceed with a cycle if your body is potentially run down and not at its best? Some women are happy to proceed, but others worry it will limit their chances at success. I've gone ahead with a cold in the past (in a cycle that was also back-to-back with the previous IVF) and was then sick for 3 months after because my body was so run down by the end of the cycle. In hindsight, it was the wrong decision for my overall health, but I don't think it had any bearing on the cycle outcome.
J.Bear, FX for you, hun.
I was anxious too.... The nurse said something to me that helped.... "if it's going to stick it will, no matter what you do..."
I hope it works out for you. All the hormones make you more susceptible to illness and it can be so frustrating...! Good luck xox
