Carla - getting there soooo tired this morning I slept in for an extra 40 mins lolol .... only 8 days to go and counting - basically this time next week I would have had the blood taken and would be having the most impatient of days waiting for a blood test - I said to my DG i want to be at home that day ... but he thinks I would be better off at work with something to keep my mind off it ....

How are you this morning miss carla?

8 days and YES counting....good for you and I think I agree....keep yourself busy and then maybe go home with DH just before they call you are both together for the outcome.

Had my scan today...NOPE.....things are actually getting smaller!!! Looks like its cancelled..just waiting on the conformation phone call this afternoon. They dont think I can start up again until January because of people going on holidays.....do I sound selfish when I say BAD LUCK.....Im sure there are other staff that can cover for people like us to have test etc......I want to have a baby and dont want to have to wait till people come back from holidays to do so.....oh Im a horrible person but this is my life !!!!!

BW - I am so happy you are back home and off the ward - BG has been keeping us posted and darling I have been so careful as a result. I am here on day seven and am feeling fine - I have been drinking so much water/gatorade and been avoiding exercise (easier than you might think). Thank you so much for thinking of me honey. Great, teary again!

Carla - Breathe sweetheart. You are not selfish, you are human. When I was a kid I would constantly get accused of wanting everything my own way - Ummm - who else's way should I want??? It is natural to feel this way but counter productive if it increases your stress levels.

Thanks for the congrats girls. We are very lucky, but almost every day i think about the journey i have been through. The worrying doesnt go away!
Carla, fingers are crossed for today, i hope things turn our better than they sound. That sucks about having to wait until Jan. I dont understand the holiday thing either, i have to work all the way through....
BW- make sure its a happy and relaxing Christmas, you deserve a break, and when you feel down remember the embies you have on ice, and what will happen in Jan. I had hyperstimulation second time round (but no where near as bad!!!), the docs and u/s people were doing scans and were amazed at the size of my ovaries and that was at 7-8 weeks after egg colllection!! By that stage i was used to the bloated look! I hope this time round is successful for you and that 2008 is your year
Slyder- yeah im back already!! Very happy and settled now. Thats a shame about the clinic's so called "natural" cycle. I honestly dont understand why they insist on using meds... Do you think you will have both put back this time?? Hope you and DW have a great Christmas. Mum has been telling me about the great weather down there!! Sounds even better than up here!!!

Carla - I don't think you are selfish at all - or if you are, then I am too ! There is already enough waiting in IVF without having to delay your cycle due to other people's holidays. I totally understand how you are feeling.

Carla - oh no hun, firstly sending you a great big hug right now !!! I can understand about wanting it now we are all in the same boat, what happens for ppl who are going through treatment over xmas or do they not do that at your clinic? I would be asking them what staff they do have on and why you cannot get started again ??? Surely they dont close down completely in which case there wuld be ppl on hand to help ..... grrrrr i am angry with you on that one hun !

Slyder - go for the double !!! hope that everything goes to plan on this one and that your DW manages through it all again ...

Hi to Mel, TL, DD and BW - hope you are all having great days ..... it is "hump day" mid week which means the weekend is creeping even closer YAY !!!!

Thankyou ladies for saying that......You really all are my sounding boards with great advice.
We will just have to wait and see. Maybe its for the better and its just what my body needs..a break. Well Im trying to stay positive and bring the positive out of this negative situation.

Tigger.......OOOHHHHHHHH bad timing......We are moving that weekend...I wont be able to do anything except that.....I hope there will be another time that we can though...I am definetley keen to meet you.........will you let me know the next time you do....

I did ask those questions. They are still ring ing me this afternoon t discuss that. She told me this morning that they do close down and that there will be limited staff there to take calls etc but she also said that the lab closes down to excessive cleaning. What about allthose people that have transfers this week and next,....staff would have to be there for those people......I get different stories all the time but thats the latest. I will speak to my FS after 3 today ...she is going to try and get me started again this months cycle....I cant beileve the only month I needed to "O" and I didnt!!! IRONIC HUH
