Baby Dreamtime: thanks for reassuring me. Good that your EPU went well, praying that your little embies are doing well. be kind to yourself over the next few days.
TLO: Sorry can't really help but believe there are a large number of tests and other options you could consider, perhaps you'd like to post your post again as it's own thread have found that you get more responses that way, also have a look at this thread as it may be helpful.

Hi Mollygirl, I am at John Flynn with City Fertility and Dr Dutt. What about you? Hope you are enjoying the cooler weather today
Hi 21, will be thinking of you, hope your BT confirms that your are UTD, can't wait to hear the news.
Take care.
sara: good job with follies, pregnyl ( ouch ), 3 x day. i had to use it on my last FET only 3 times, inject it slowly is what i learnt. good luck
mollygirl: i love your slogan and i think it should be the theme for all of us this year .:loveshower:
21ttc: HOPING SO MUCH THAT THIS IS THE REAL THING. CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT !:noaf:
saph: hoping they don't have to cancell you, but if you need more immunisation then prob be better. good luck to you my friend.
neptune: good to see you back, we all need a break sometimes. hope this cycle is the one for you .:pink-babydust:
tlo: not sure of your Q, , hope you get the answers you need soon. maybe try putting the question in the questions thread? hope you get some answers soon.
babydreamtime: hope your embies are doing well. fingers crossed for et day.:fertilise:
afm: well nothing much just taking time off. i've been spreading horse manure 1/2 the day and now i'm just vegging out on the computer.
it's nice to just relax for a while and do nothing. i'm enjoying it too much i think.
good luck to all.
Thank you Babydreamtime and Sarah69 for your responses. I'll have a look at those threads and see what info is on them. I've been madly writing down anything I come across. I have absolutely no issue in changing FS - so if mine is unwilling to re-evaluate, I'll start looking at other options in Brisbane.
Thanks again ladies - I haven't lost hope completely just feel I need to take control of my treatment. Mind you I have my sil and her two small children staying with us as the moment and going to baby shops today to look for baby monitors with her was probably the stupidist thing I have ever done. I thought I was strong, I don't mean to be emotional, but it's a hard journey we are all on.
Take care - good luck with your cycles!
Tarn.
hi ya girls
im still alive been down on the sunshine coast since boxing day till last night but now i am home so will will be catching up with everything
sarahxxxxx
Hey Baby dreamtime - just sent you a PM
Would love to catch up with you sometime - also if there are any other gold coast gals who would be interested in getting together sometime please let me know. I would love to be able to talk to someone who actually understands
Hi ladies,
Hope you are doing well today. I am just chilling, thinking about my embies, sending them good thoughts and praying they are growing fabulously. The clinic isn't open today so I have to wait until tomorrow to hear how they are going.
Jade, I have PM you back, let me know what works for you
Sarah (Mrs M), hope you had a great time on the Sunshine Coast, where are you up to now?
Tarn, I totally know what you mean, and shopping for other people's babies can be so hard. I have my brother and SIL staying with me for 3 weeks with their two gorgeous kids, and my other SIL just had a baby on Christmas day, so am surrounded by reminders. I hope you are taking care of yourself
JBM, vegging out sounds great, no more for me though, back to work tomorrow. Hope all is well with you
Sara, GL for your BT and ultrasound tomorrow
21, GL to you too for your coming BT, we can't wait to hear the positive results.
Have a great day everyone.
Well I should have been posting today about starting my 1st IVF (FINALLY) this week - but instead it has been postponed.
It seems that as predicted the infection that DH had has affected his sperm count/quality quite badly. So the clinic has recommended we wait another month and do another SA. I'm so disappointed, we were so close! I actually think that he probably needs 2 months, since the sperm that were just tested were probably produced just prior to him getting sick, and he was on antibiotics for about 5 weeks... I don't want to do IVF with sub-par sperm, so I guess we'll just have to wait. But ARGH so annoyed about it.
Meanwhile everyone else in the world seems to be pg, which is really starting to get to me.
I went online and looked up a few supplements and now have poor DH taking 8 tablets a day hee hee ;) Whenever he complains I tell him would he rather be injecting himself? So evil!!
I hope everyone else has a great start to 09 - and hopefully I'll be back in a month or two....
Hi everyone, mind if I join you
I have been lurking, reading posts for a while now (since the start of the year actually) & have posted here and there but I thought I should lift my game and jump in this thread and formally introduce myself. A little background
My partner & I have been together for 8 yrs and have been ttc for 3.5 yrs. In Oct 07 we found out that we have MF infertility and needed ivf to conceive & we were given very slim chances of being able to conceive on our own. Currently, we are doing our third round of ivf/icsi with :crossfingers: and many positive thoughts. Our first round of ivf was cancelled due to me having a low response to the FSH meds. Our secound round resulted in a BFN.
I hope to get to know all of you in this thread, you all are so supportive of one another and just being able to read all of your posts in here and other threads has been a real joy
Take care and goodluck
21&ttc - I'll congratulate you again when you make the 'official' announcement but I reckon you have yourself a BFP
BTW- I would love to join you in the other thread.
hi
im on the weight loss wagon
sarahxxxx
Hi Everyone
I've been MIA for about 3 weeks now, so there are so many of you to catch up on so will hopefully read everyones news shortly to know where all of the girls are at.
AFM: Well I'm back after my Perth holiday over Xmas & New Year. Luckily I'm also fully recovered from my suspected ectopic/miscarriage on the 1st December and am now on my last day of Provera for AF to hopefully start on Wednesday for my 4th FET cycle.
My FS has decided to do a different protocol from last time (HRT FET transfer) to trying to get an O cycle happening. So basically due to my severe PCOS, I will be taking clomid on days 2 - 6 (50mg) to try and copy a natural cycle to hope that this will ensure that my lining thickens at the proper rate and not having and extra long cycle like the last transfer when the bubsicles were transferred on day 24 due to my lining not doing what it was suppose to.
Fingers crossed that this time everything goes as it should and that we have the transfer around the 24th Jan. It is my birthday in just over 6 weeks, so maybe instead of a belated Xmas present, I'll get a wonderful Birthday present.
hi girls i will tell you something!
GET YOUR MEN ON MENEVIT!!!! i believe thats what fixed us! 3 months after he lost 13 kilos and used menevit and no coffee WALLA! i also lost 17 kilos and no coffee i believe this is y worked! its only 30 bucks for a months supply, could do no harm! love u all!
oh and I forgot to mention he only had about 10 percent good morph, not a great count, just on the average line and also a small "volume"
mrsm: hows your healthy eating plan going, i am also trying to lose a bit of weight so am leaving last FET til march. i only got about 7 kg to lose by then. good luck to you.
BDT: hope you're coping with bro and sil staying. sending you some hugs. :wiggle:
mrsp: better to wait for good sperm than wreck a whole cycle. i also had dh on lots of vitamins, thankfully he's good with them all the time.
dutchie: welcome to our thread, this is a great place to be and i love everyone here. so glad you've joined us. :welcome: hope you're not here long and move to the pregnancy thread.
kelly: glad your hol was good. hope for a great b'day present for you. BFP would be nice. good luck
21ttc: IS IT OFFICIAL YET !!!!!. also thanks

afm: nothing new to report. still on holidays. having a break from ttc, just helping you guys along.
Baby Dreamtime - any update on how your little embies are doing - I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!!!!
Hi girls,
Baby Dreamtime: Hope your follies are going fine, have everything crossed for you.
Mrs P: That sounds like a good decision although I know how hard it is to wait. Good on your hubby to take 8 tablets, mine is on Menevit and Blackmores Men's ultra - really hope it helps.
Dutchie: Welcome and good luck with yoru cycle.
Mrs M: good luck with weight loss, must be hard over Christmas.
Kelly: hope you get a great birthday present.
JBM: Hope your holiday is really nice.
21: :goodluck:
Spend the weekend on the couch, just a bit exhausted and a slight cold but managed to get over it. BT and Ultrasound today was all on track, there now seem to be 5 decent sized follicles 10 to 16mm and a few smaller ones.
Next Bt and ultrasound is scheduled for Wednesday and EPU maybe on Friday. Please keep crossing fingers for me.
Sara
JBM - hi there no not OFFICIAL yet but no AF today so i think it is! BT is on wednesday, i just really want to see where my levels are at, do i ask for a qualitative or quantitative BT?
21ttc: not sure about what to ask for i have never got the BFP while on a cycle. Good luck and a huge congrats to you. i am so envious. xxoo
Hi ladies
Sara - am keeping my fingers crossed for u hun... best of luck
21 :) YAY Congratulations..... goodluck with your BT
JBM - hope u are enjoying your break
KellyD - Goodluck to you..hope all goes smoothly for you
Dutchie - Welcome..... :crossfingers: Hope its third time lucky for you
MrsP - oh im so sorry that your 1st IVF cycle for postponed... hopefully next month the results come back better
baby dreamtime - how are those embies doing??? Hope u get some good news
Ok thats about all the personals i can fit in at the moment..... i hope everyone is well
AFM - my HSG is booked in for tomorrow but im still spotting so am unsure if i'll be able to have it done....it doesnt really matter anyway
Not long now till my FS appt :)... Seen as i have blocked tubes what do u guys think he will say???
Oh also should DP get another SA done (before we go)??? He done one last year around April and all was ok
Mrs P, March will be here before you know it, I know you are disappointed, but it is a great idea to make sure your body is in the best possible condition to produce the best embryos. From my experience the last IVF cycle where I watched my diet very strictly produced the best embies. We will be here to count down the time with you.
Dutchie, so glad you have joined us, and Feb will be here even quicker. Will pray for third time lucky for you
Sarah, GL with your weight loss, sending you all the will power I can
Kelly, welcome back, hope you had a great trip to Perth. The best of luck for your next FET and glad to hear that FS is doing a new protocol for your FET this month. Will pray you get your birthday wish!
21, I have heard good things re menevit too. Go the boys. We are all hanging out til Wednesday so we can celebrate officially! And a qualitative hCG test detects if hCG is present in the blood. A quantitative hCG test (or beta hCG) measures the amount of hCG actually present in the blood, so ask for a quantitative.
JBM, GL to you too, at least now that Christmas is over all the temptations are removed
Jade, looking forward to Saturday. How are you going with AF, has the witch arrived?
Sara, great news re your follies, crossing all my fingers for you
Nikki, the 15th is just around the corner. I am assuming your FS will say IVF, is this what you want to do? I am so happy that we are lucky enough to be able to do this/afford it/have the technology available, just hoping it works for all of us, sooner rather than later. And always a good idea to get a SA done, but likely your FS will order this anyway. GL with your HSG tomorrow.
AFM, I heard from the clinic early this morning, my embies are almost day 3, we have 5 still on the go, 1 x 5 cell and 1 x 6 cell and 2 x 8 cell and 1 x 8+ cell, the embryologist was happy with that, I am trying to be also (but had hoped for more) so fingers crossed we will have a couple of blasties on Wednesday to transfer. Praying praying.
Hugs to everyone, xx
Hi everyone
21 - sounds like everything is going well but I am sure you will find it a lot easier to celebrate once you get the HCG count to ease your mind
Sara - at least you have quite a few decent size follies - that sounds promising and I will keep my fingers crossed that there may be a few extra suprises in their for you!!!
Nikki - the answer is usually IVF whenever their is problems with the tubes - good luck with your appointment
Baby dreamtime - i too am looking forward to saturday. See you then!
AFM - WELL I made a big decision today. I have decided to pack up my four little frozen bubs and take them back to my original IVF clinic and my original FS (i am now on my 3rd FS) I spoke to him today and explained that I don't feel confortable with my new FS or the new clinic (they are not warm and fuzzy and my old clinic used to give me cuddles) and he is really excited to have me back and said he is determined to get me pregnant - the only reason he referred me on to a FS that specialises in recurrent failures was because he was worried that maybe he wasn't doing enough for me. BUT after seeing the supposed IVF God and have him tell me that there are no more tests they can perform on me, I figure that I may as well go back to the guy I feel most comfortable with.
So I am very excited about my decision and all the nurses at the clinic started calling me this afternoon to say they are looking forward to seeing me again (we had quite a relationship - i was there for 4 years!)
Feeling very positive about 2009!!!!!
;)NIKKI,
woohoo not long now hun all the best for tomorrow and as for the FS and what hell say,i rekon hell say IVF for sure
just sent you a pm hunny
baby dreamtime - those results sound great! 8+ cells for a 3 day is brilliant! Good luck with your ET tomorrow. :crossfingers: for your BFP
mels x x
Mollygirl, glad that you've made the big decision and feel comfortable with, that's the most important thing! I hope 2009 will be the year of good changes for you hun! You seem to have had quite a journey from your sig....best of luck!
Well hi all, sorry no personals just a quick hello before I go pick up my new car.
scan yesterday showed one follie at 10mm and a slight increase in hormones so not cancelling me yet. They said they would cancel me until we had had some major drug increases so still plodding along yeah.
:hello: everyone
I just wanted to say thankyou for all of your warm welcomes and kind words.
It's nice to be able to chat with others who understand the rollercoaster that is ivf.
I will hold off on personals until I'm more familiar with everyone and the stages that they are up to but I will say best wishes to everyone and best of luck with whatever stage you are up to
AFM - I was hoping to start a new flare cycle this month, I even had my first synarel spray sun night only to be called by the nurses monday morning to be told that we cannot go ahead with the cycle this month as my hormone levels are a bit all over the place  very disappointing. Anyway the plan is to start again when af comes in feb provided my hormones are ok:crossfingers::crossfingers:
Hi Everyone - hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Bring on 2009 and may it be our year girls
BDT - just wanted to wish you all the very best of luck for your ET tomorrow, your embies are doing really well.
Saph204 - thinking of you and wishing you lots of luck as well. My last IVF cycle on my first scan, I had no follicles of any decent size at all, my FS just kinda went Hmmpph (IYKWIM) and said to come back for a another scan two days later, I ended up having 4 scans over 6 days and at EPU they retrieved 5 eggs, so don't give up hope, hang on in there.
Mrs M - good luck with your weight loss, sending you lots of love and lots of positive vibes to get through. Take care.
Not too many personals for today, but just wanted to catch up and let you all know that even though I don't say too much, I am thinking about you all and wishing you all the very best of luck for 2009.
Take care everyone, love J.
Hi ladies, just a quick one before I run out the door.
Jodie and Mels, thanks for the well wishes!
Dutchie, bring on Feb :crossfingers:
Saph, fingers crosses for you too
CP, how are you going?
Smithy, how are you going?
Jade, that is fabulous news, I am so glad you have made a decision and feel so happy and excited about it!
AFM, I have the day off tomorrow to chill, I have AP booked before and after my ET, which is at 12 noon. Wish me luck!
xx
Dutchie : As you have done a flare ivf cycle b4, I was wondering if it was "suggested" you did ISCI with it, or is it a common occurance. I am starting our first "flare" 2morow, all being well, and the plat, mentioned "isci" and I thought that was odd as my dh doesnt have a prob with swimmers, and fs and I hadnt discussed isci, last time I saw her..
Ladies,
New thread time here!
