AFM - I'm still in the 2ww it seems like the longest ever :rolleyes: My BT is on Sat however DH wants me to test tomorrow I'm a bit scared to do that :o really not sure I want to, he said if the news is not good news then I can have time to deal with it before Christmas Day umm I don't think 1 day would be enough :wall: men they just don't get it sometimes well they're not on all the drugs and hormonal like us anyway so they wouldn't quite get it :doh:

AFM - went to clinic today picked up all the drugs which they supplied so that was a nice supprise. Before we had to buy our own. Well we can start as soon as Af arrives. Bring it on. DH is a bit worried, he has to abstain from cd8, he thinks he will burst.LOL
Oh my goodness - COngratulations hon - that is brilliant news! :D :D :D :D You will definitely have to keep us posted as to how the engagement (and wedding plans) are going :)

thanks for all the lovely words! I am very happy at least something good came of this year! wedding is in 18 months, sounds like a long time but it isnt really! it will go so quick! and i dont care if im pregnant at the time! also gives me time to get into shape!
im now also in the TWW but will still be on here as this feels like my home! love u all and really cant wait til we are all pregnant together!
BEC- hello! you have been missing for a lil while, i hope u are ok, i know everyone says this but at least u know it can work, i felt like that was 50% of the fear, was NEVER be able to get pregnant, time DOES ease the pain, but only so much so dont feel like u have to get over it, i never even had a baby in me, was just a damn sac! but i still grieve the baby that SHOULD have been, after all the sperm did connect to the egg as in your case too and to me thats a little being, or a soul. i hope the new year will serve us both well. if u need to chat feel free to PM me! i missed u!
AFM- well im on CD16 today, i find its the worst! being this far away from C28! i did the last 10miu preg test yesterday morning too early i know! but i just wanted to check from last 3 cycles as they were a bit funny! had no line just a damn evap line a few hours after! I HATE THEM! i will NOT be testing until or of AF is late by a WEEK!!! i SWEAR!!! also does DF stand for fiance?

Hi everyone - I haven't posted on this forum for a very long time (but have been in the TTC after miscarriage area for a while). Anyway was looking through other forums and thought this one might be helpful for me too. Not sure if anyone can give advice on the following but this is where I am at today...
very confused. Had a frostie transfer about 10 days ago and had pregnancy test today. They said it was negative - but I do have some pregnancy hormone present - hcg is 21 and progesterone level 96 - so very very slim chance still of a miracle but because lab is closing I cannot have another blood test till monday. Nurse said is is most likely that hcg will fall and I am not pregnant. Apparently hcg level will need to drop to 0 and progesterone of < 5 before I can start my next stimulated cycle. So basically am very confused. Has any else had such low hcg levels and ended up being pregnant? So another five days waiting - it is soooo hard !
Anyway would love any advice. Would also like to wish you all a merry christmas and hoping for lots of BFPs in this thread in the new year:grouphug:

I haven't been posting for a while but have been lurking my first IVF cycle in November was cancelled as I didin't respond to the FSH drugs and only had two follicles. Santa brought AF last night which means I am going for a BT tomorrow and depending on the result may start an antagonist IVF PGD cycle straight away. Feeling a bit in two minds about this, was hoping to use these weeks to relax and recover and only starting in January but don't think I can afford to waste time. Didn't really sleep at all last night pondering this. Now deceided to go for the BT and take it from there.

Hope you all had a great Christmas.
Just wondering if any of you would have some advice for me. My first (downregulated) IVF cycle was cancelled since I had only 2 follicles and was understimulated - Estrogen never went above 51.
I now had my first period after the cycle and went for my BT (CD2) - FSH came back as 9.7 and Estrogen at 44. Earlier in the year when I did BT and Ultrasound for a baseline (non IVF) I had FSH of 7 and Estrogen of 260 on CD2, the ultrasound a few days later showed between 4 and 8 follicles.
I am now wondering if I should start an antagonist cycle with injections tomorrow or wait another cycle to see if the FSH level is any better then, my FS says I should start, the nurse said they're looking for FSH 10 and lower - which basically means that mine with 9.7 is borderline.
On the one hand I don't want to go through a cancelled cycle again on the other hand I can't afford to waste time as I'll be 40 by mid next year.
Would be thankful for any advice

Hi Sara, not sure if this really helps, but for my first IVF stim cycle I had a base line FSH of 12, and despite fears that I would not stim well went on to get OHSS with over 20 follies and a cancelled cycle on day 8 as my E2 was 22000. My FSH does was 225 for this cycle. It has taken 3 subsequent stim cycles to get my FSH injection dose right, so it ended up I was over stimming and a tendency towards PCOS, which was confusing with the high FSH level of 12. I thought I was a matter of what dose of FSH they gave you to get you stimulated right, so even if you have a higher ish baseline FSH, that may just mean they need to give you a higher does to get the follie numbers right.
What FSH does were you on for your first stim cycle? What are they increasing your does to? Hope you get your answers, hugs

AFM- well im on CD18 today and i feel like im in limbo 10 sleeps until AF shows or doesnt show and im not going to test until a week after if she is late. I have no symptoms except often a dull period pain like ache in the lower left side almost on the top of my thigh, im nervous i may have an ectopic as the pain is quite often and quite persistant. I have no sore nipples which I ALWAYS have from about cd17. but only time will tell, i feel real good about this month as i have said numerous times but deep down im ready for dissapointment as i have for the last 8 cycles since D and C. I did another 2 OPK's yesterday as I was bored one in the morning and one in the evening, they are getting darker again, i dont want to get my hopes up but on peeonastick.com it says they get darker if pregnancy is present as well as ovulation, again time will tell!!!! i think i might cave in and test new years day which will be CD24. HURRY UP!!! hope all have a great new year oh and im counting down until JAN 12!!! i can FINALLY make my FS appointment! oh AND my DF grandfather gave us 600 dollars for xmas so we now ave a grand saved for the inital FS appointment and testing can anyone give me an indication on what tests were done and the cost involved, im with monash but any idea would be great! we still have a few months to save until we get in to see her im sure!

Hello, I'm new to posting but have been reading whats been going on in here and thought it was my time to write :D. you are ALL very suppportive to one another!
A little about me and DH. ttc for 2 yrs now, 3 cycles of clomid 1 cycle of IUI. All BFN's. the issue is - As the Fs said DH does not have `olympic swimmers' and i dont think my O is very consistant either.
On cd 21 i had a bt as im starting on a down reg iui. the BT confirmed i hadnt O-ed (so you can imagine what DH and I got up to that week!:redface:) On cd 27 bt confirmed i had O-ed and started the Syrenal the next day. Today is CD 36 no A/F as yet FN said i should poas on the 30/12 (if A/f still has not arrived) As I have to start the injections of puregon onthe 31/12. I'm concerned if I still dont get AF and poas is neg what should i do? The clinic is closed until the 5/1. Anyone else have this problem? btw my tummy feels very heavy, is this a good sign or am I still recovering from xmas lunch??

Thank you Baby Dreamtime that is encouraging. For my 1st cycle my first puregon dose was 262, then after five days increased to 375 without effect - I used gonal f for that cycle. For the new cycle I am starting on 300 puregon. It sounds alright to me since I am not downregulated this time. It's definitely all pretty confusing. Hoping everything goes alright for you too.
21 thank you for encouragement. I am not sure about costs with Monash as I am with SIVF. I also do PGD which is more expensive. All up we're going to be out of pocket about $4500 per cycle plus at least an extra grnad for medication and appointments but think it's a lot cheaper if you don't go for PGD, perhaps call monash and ask them, sivf has informaiton abot cycle costs on their website.
Toby, can't really help. understand your problem as it's pretty confusing situation. Stupid question but does your clinic have an emergency mobile number that you can calll?

AFM -guess who was a nice christmas present for me? Well AF showed up on christmas morning. So a blood test tomorrow CD3 and injections staer tomorrow night after I get the call. Yeah, we get to start again. This is it for us as AF showed up about a week early and that is very unusual for me. I am sure it is a sign.
Well will be aback in about a week after camping.

good luck to all those jabbing (ouch) and hope everyone has nice holidays if you have any. we had few days with family. 2 hours away. was nice to catch up.
we're going to port arthur, way down south tas for 3 days on tue next week and then dh is back to work on 5th of jan.
i am glad to be taking a break from LTTC for a month or so to get myself back to a happy place too.
