All over for this month. Funny, even when you convince yourself there is no chance you still get upset when it happens.
Have a great day tomorrow Melanie, hope it goes as well - and congrats on the follies. What a big week!

What an exciting time for you Mel. Have a wonderful day tomorrow.
Well... bound to have ovulated by now, and the enormous red welt on my belly is finally starting to fade.
I feel absolutely no different - no symptoms, nothing. Is there any possibility my body could fail to ovulate, even after a trigger shot?

Busy Busy Bees in here!
Dream Bub- the only other thing I have to add about Metformin, is that my cycles were long and irregular, and we were TTC for over a year before I started Metformin. One month after Metforim, I was pg- so it seemed to work for us. Pitty that was the least of our TTC problems!!
Loula- PGD is Pre Genetic Diagnosis. What they do is develop a probe for yours or your DH's genetics ( depends who has the issue) and that probe enables them to test any embryos for the Genetic problem, ie parkinsons diesease, down syndrome, translocation etc. They then can work out which embroys would be best to implant. MIVF have some great information expalining it.
Regarding Genetic Testing, our FS said that they testing more often now for our problem- translocation, as it seems to be more common than they thought, and quite a common reason for m/c. There is also a link between a translocation and low/bad quality sperm. Therefore a lot of people who do PGD also use ICSI. In our case we were lucky, and that was not the situation, so we only need PGD.
Mel Bel- so excited your scan went well. Hope mine goes as well tomorrow. We may then end up having EPU same or similar days!! Are you at Freemasons?
Melbel - that's such great news - & the day before your wedding!! Have a wonderful day tomororow, remember to stop and enjoy it - it will fly by!!

Hi Ladies,

Jo, BW, Summer, feels nice to have some familiar faces in here. Wow this thread as well and truly grown hasn't it.
Twomums/Megan - How are you and Kim? Sending lots of sticky vibes to Kim.
Nic
Hi Girls, just thought id pop in.
I hope all went well yesterday with the wedding Melbel, would love to see some pics but understand.
Well Bt id tomorrow! Having af cramping a little but sure im not pg. i would be flabagasted if they said i was.
Already thinking what to do about next cycle
a) i have two embies frozen with MIVF
b) I have 8 embies froxen with Monash (since 2004)
c) I have a written letter that my next FET with Monash will be bulked billed (due to stuff up)
So i dont know what to do. im thinking i might start another full stim cycle while i can with MIVF as i dont want to get to TF and be told that both embies have not been viable! and to uterlise the bulk cycle with Monash i have to see a FS from the clinic first and i cant get in until the end of march and as i havnt been there for over a year i need another referal from my gp. and as im expecting my af within the next week or so i will be too far along in my cycle to start and dont want to miss another month.
BBL Dh wants the puter
xx
Hi girls
I cant believe, with how busy it has been in here , that there were NO posts on saturday at all!!!!
Mel, congrats on the embies at scan and I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday.
Willow, sorry to see you go from our position but happy to see you go from your position. Wishing you the stickiest pg ever and I hope everything goes smoothlyfor you. good luck!
Hi everyone else, just waiting on AF here so I can book on.
Hi ladies,
Just popping in for a quick hello, have got lots on the go here this weekend. This thread is getting huge! Hopefully the group starts shrinking soon with all of us moving onto the preggy threads.
Mel, i hope you had a fantastic day yesterday - congratulations!!
Nic how are you going?
Loula - all the best for tomorrow, hope you get a nice surprise.
Jo - goodluck with this IUI cycle.
Well this being the 2nd to last time we have to try naturally DH & I decided to give pre-seed ago but i'm now on CD21 and i STILL haven't O'd :wall: very frustrated...
Hi to everyone hope you're all having a great weekend.
Hey Boo :) I'm well. Just waiting to see if AF shows or not. How are you?
Nic
Nic - nice to hear from you had been wondering how you were.
Hope af stays away from you this month!!!

Hi Ladies
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!!
Melbel - Hope the wedding was fantastic and you enjoyed every minute!!
Loula - Good luck with the bt tomorrow fingers crossed!
Well i am very excited today.. i just had my last puregon injection thank goodness!! Though i think my phobia in needles had decreased.... just a little!
Had my day 8 scan on Thursday and dr saw at least 10 follies - not sure if that is a good number or not? So i have a wonderful date with an internal scanner at 6:40am tomorrow.. GOOD MORNING! To see how many we have and pick up will be midday Wednesday.. i can hardly believe it is coming up! Then because we are doing ICSI and growing to blastocyst we will have transfer a week tomorrow! KInda very scary and very exciting at the same time..
I also had my first acupuncture appointment on Thursday with Andrew Orr at Shen Therapies.. seemed okay lots of needles in the belly and a heater over the top to increase blood flow.. seemed to ease off the aching i was having but all my purgon injections in the days since hurt a lot more and seem to bleed afterwards?
Anyway i will stop waffling on.. wishing everyone luck!
S
Shannon - What a way to start the week of! Hope all goes well for you this week.
Jo - We are just waiting to go for our last dentist visit for DH to get a referral for wisdom removal, then we will make our appointment with the FS. Will be thinking of you wed/thrus this week. :)
Nic
Hi Girls,
Hope all are well.
Melbel - Hope you had a great day on Saturday - my Wedding was definately the most memorable day of my life so far, it went so quick though. I hope you had a ball.
Lou - Fingers crossed for you. Waiting for you to post and hoping for a BFP:pray:, you never know. If news is not so great then you have a few choices to make. Its great that you have so many snow bubs! My clinic will not allow a full STim cycle to go ahead if you have frozens on ice...I would love to though, as every time I have an FET theres on ly 1 & I am secretly hoping for twins.;)
Shannon - 10 follies is good a good number - if I recall correctly this is your first full stim?? Even better if thats the case...
As for me AF arrived on Friday, Nearly over now, so I guess I will be preparing for an FET in about 2-3 weeks. Not sure what to do though as I also have an appt with Dr Sacks in Sydney on the immunology issues and he suggested waiting to do the FET until after the appt. I know it makes sense but I am very impatient and want to do the FET ASAP.....also I havent yet told my FS that I have an appt with Dr Sacks.
Hi Melbel,
I hope you had a fantastic wedding day. I am sure it was everything you dreamed of.
Everyone else, I'm so sorry for the lack of personals - I've not logged on for a week and can't catch up!
Not much news from here, I've started with the chinese herbs (tablet form), and have another acupuncture treatment on Wednesday. Still 4 weeks until we get the results of the genetic testing :( I am hopefully finishing work next week (yippee!), after resigning 2 months ago, finally they've found a replacement. I'm going to take it easy and try and look after myself to get to optimum health for the next full stim cycle.
Having a bad day - just had a big row with DH - over something stupid. Now I feel bad and have apologised. I don't know why I get so annoyed and cross - I'm not even on any ivf drugs at the moment (for a change).
Hope you're all well! :)
Juat thought id let you in on the results of my BT. as i knew deep down it was a BFN. not even a raised HCG at all. (which i always check as i have had it raised twice but not enought to confirm a healthy pg)
so back to the board room for up. my np is going to give me some herbs to improve my circluation, my hands and feet are always cold! I dont know if i can do another stim i havent checked yet and so i dont know if they'll let me. i hope so if im taking all new herbs might get DH on some too.
hope everyone else is ok
I'm sorry, Lou. Seems to me that no matter how expected it is, it's still devestating to get that news.
I've been having a pretty crappy time lately... won't go into it now, had a bit of a vent earlier. And a chat with a friend who has been an egg donor in the past which cheered me up a little. Have a long way to go, though.
I still have a huge mark where I had the trigger shot last week! I hope I can remember to ask about that when I'm at the clinic tomorrow. Have to be up at some ungodly hour to have another blood test... back to the synarel tomorrow - ugh!
BW
hey bw - i did read your vent and didnt know what to write other than sorry and i do know how you feel (i hate it when people say that but in here we really do know how each other feels)
Anyway looks like next time we may be cycle buddies as as soon as af is here i jumping back on i think its the only way i can cope.
Look after yourself hun
x
Thanks, Lou. I don't think there is anything anyone can say. It's just one of those things we all have to deal with. I do feel a bit better having let it all out, though.
How long before you'd expect AF? From when the trigger shot was given, I think I've got another week to go before she arrives here, and then another 6 days after that before I start injections... does the whole process always drag like this, or is it because I'm on a long protocol at the moment?
BW
Lou - so sorry sweet - i know you'd said all along that you thought it wasn't going well, but that little spark of hope always lives on til that BT, doesn't it - i so hope your next cycle is more successful
BW - sorry you're still having a hard time - there are so many hurdles you keep facing. i really hope you've faced the last of them now, and your next cycle is all smooth sailing and smiling faces at the end
Mel - how'd the wedding go? i hope you had a fabulous day - i will always remember my wedding day as, no matter what else was happening at the time to get me down, that day was perfect
Alex - i know what you mean about being snippy at little things. I'm so lucky i have a very mild mannered DH - he just lets me let off steam whenever i need to, then waits til i've calmed down again and we can talk things through - i'm glad he's not a typical red-head! with two stubborn red-heads in the house, we could be facing world war 3 every time one of us gets upset!
to everyone else - hope you're having a good start to your week - and to those who are testing or having EPU's or transfers this week GOOD LUCK!
IM backkkkkkkkkkkk. LOL We have now upgraded to wireless broadband and had a few teething problems! Thanks to the great service we had with ringing help desks and having people who cant speak english try and help.
Im off sick from work, have a doctors appointment 2morrow with throat infections/ tonsilitis or something of the like. I think AF is visiting, although very strange its so light. DH revealed tonight that hes really worried about his tests coming up too, but its a very good thing that he felt ok enough to share.
Going go back and read everything now xoxoxo
Hi Ladies
Hope everyone had a good day...
Loula - Sorry about the BFN .. Fingers crossed for next time!
Well i was wrong last night was not the last puregon injection.. tonight was.. unfortunately i started back at uni tonight so DH has to come out and stick me between lectures.. and then we also did the trigger shot... youchy! Thanks goodness the injections and synarel is over!!
We are booked in for EPU at 7am on Wednesday.. unfortunately DH can't make it.. i keep teasing him he won't be there when his own children are conceived.. hehe. I know you will find this funny.. so my dad is coming with me! Im a big whoose, so it will be nice to have someone with me.. will make for some funny looks at least! '
S
Welcome back, Summer! I've been missing you. Isn't broadband great?
Shannon, good luck with the EPU. Those trigger shots do bloody well HURT! I hope you have less pain afterwards than I did - I still have a giant mark on my belly where they injected me. How does EPU work when your DH can't make it there? We were told that was when DH needed to deliver the goods... with me, at the hospital. I hope we'll hear good news on how things go afterwards.
BW
Thank you all for your best wishes. The wedding was just beautiful...everything was just the way I wanted it to be and being at home was so relaxed and the food was great with a gorgeous cake...blah blah blah. Geoff usrpised me and took me to the Sofitel for our weddingnight and to our surprise they had upgraded us to a deluxe corner suite with 270 degree city views and there was a bottle of very expensive french champagne on ice and some belgian chocolates ....yummo. mind you looking down from the 43 rd floor I don't reccomend....freaky!!
We went to Warrnambool for a quick overnight visit and had a pcinic lunch with some belly belly girls yesterday and shared our wedding cupcakes with them. Is it just me or do you wee alot with the stim part of the cycle. We had tpo stop three times on the way home today and my abdomen is defnitely a bit uncomfortable down there but otherwise no other symptoms.
We have a scan first thing in the morning to check the eggies are growing well and hopefully will get told to have a trigger shot on Weds with a pick up Friday morning. All of that means we could have an embie on board by monday evening....woohoo what a great wedding pressie!!
Thanks BW, Missed chatting with you too hun. And yes teh broadband is great. Its not as fast as other connections as we only choose the slowest one and its not anywhere close to running at that but it kicks butt on the dial up thats for sure. Just have to move DH off here now so I can actually get on here.
Melbel Your wedding sounds divine and the cupcakes...yummo. Your DH sounds like such a great guy with all those surprises for you. GoodLuck with your scan today.
Yes im home. Had a better nights sleep and because I got to sleep in for an hour and half longer too. Throat is still painful but I have my voice back. And now AF has decided she is going to show up. So add on the cramps from here, and some cramping from Metformin, Im so over it all.
Mel, Congrats on your wedding! sounds like it was very lovely :)
Lou - Sorry about the BFN. Hugs
shannon - Hope all goes well on Wednesday.
BW - Ouchies at the mark still left on your belly!
Summer - Lots of hugs for AF arriving.
Big hello to everyone else I missed.
I'm back to CD1 today. I was telling the girls in the TTC 6+ months, that I get AF and my SIL gets a BFP! Have been feeling pretty crappy about it. Had a whinge in the life members forum about it too. Feel awful for complaining, especially since we already have a beautiful DD. Anyway, wednesday night is a bbq and drinks..lots of I think! :)
Nic
Congratulations Mel on your wedding. Glad you enjoyed the day. I loved my wedding day.
Scan on Saturday was all fine, as was second Scan today. Uped my dose of Puregon to 175- hoping that won't make me feel too ill. Plan is for Trigger on Saturday, EPU next Monday, and if all goes well and we get some embies, ET on Friday- all very exciting!!:D
Well my scan this morning showed at least 20 follies ready to pop and the nurse has just rung and confirmed EPU will be Friday morning at sparrows fart!!!
After the fertilisation and PGD the Doc is hopeful we may get about 6 good embryos out of that lot. He posed the question one or two? So now I am off to talk to my diabtetes specialist to get his thoughts before we decide.
If anyone is interested there are some wedding piccies up on my homepage and also if you go to the main gallery page on the site my sister has her snaps from the day in debbies album.
Hi everyone,
Congrats to EJE, Mel & Shannon - very exciting - your EPU very soon!!!! Good luck.
Mel you looked lovely on your wedding day, congratulations!
Summer & Nic - sorry AF showed up. Hugs to you both...
I've just been given the go-ahead to start injections tomorrow night. I'm on 150 Gonal F - can anyone tell me what to expect? Are there any side effects from it? Other than a bloated stomach in a few days due to all the eggs growing (hopefully)? I'm due for another blood test next Wednesday.
Then the exciting part - EPU & ET...then the dreaded 2WW...
Mel, checked out some of your pics before I had to go out and I thought you looked beautiful! Will have to have a squizzy at some more pics later :)
Nic
AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Know that's out of my system...
Plan A failed with my ovary growing a follicle/cyst.
Plan B was the trigger shot... It failed today with my progesterone level being a whopping great 9.6.
So, we move to Plan C... I'm really wondering just how far through the freaking alphabet we will have to get before we find a plan that works... Plan X? Plan Y? Plan Z?
DH has to go into the clinic tomorrow (I can't, not without missing work, and I've got kids with assessment tasks coming up) and pick up a script for primolut. I start Primolut tomorrow, finish on the 6th. On the 5th I start lucrin (I asked the nurse over the phone about my general snottyness and whether that could effect the synarel, apparently it's a yes), 20 units per day. Hopefully DH can figure out how that injection process works, as I won't be there for the instructions. Next blood test to see if we can start puregon injections will take place on the 16th of March... I'm going to have to send some questions in with DH - such as why did I need a blood test before resuming now, but I won't need another before starting lucrin?
I'm sure there's more... but I'm just SO hungry right now! breakfast didn't happen and the munchy bar I ate on the way to work (after the clinic) just wasn't quite enough... my stomach was digesting itself by the time I got to recess, and then again when I got to lunch, and by the time I finally had a free period, I got to spend that on the phone to the clinic nurse. Must... Find... FOOD!!!
BW
Mel the piccys look great of your wedding.
Sammi Are you doing the injections yourself?
Nic ARe you hanging out in here now;)
BW Hope you got some yummy food to settle your tummy. Keep screaming as much as you want. I know that you are finding this incrediably frustarting. Your such a determine woman, others would have given up but not you. Your are wonderful.
Have got meds for my sinsus/ throat issues- wonderful medication it is, this makes me so sleepy all day. Have been on it before. Added on to the hot flushes from Metformin. Doctor was running nearly an hour late too. number 1 whinger goes to me!
HI all
Mel - so glad you had a great day for your wedding - isn't the sofitel awesome? we stayed there for a couple of nights on our honeymoon last Feb - and we got the same upgrade as you - it was really nice - and made it even more special. only bad thing is, we now have pretty high standards about where we stay - nothing has really stacked up since then! and how bizarre - we had chocolate mud cup cakes for our wedding cake too - so much easier (and yummier) than a fruit cake. maybe i'm having a ditzy moment, but i'm not sure what the addy for your homepage is, so can't scope out your pics. sounds like everything is full steam ahead for you at the moment - good luck.
BW - sorry to hear things still aren't behaving for you. not sure why you wouldn't need a BT before starting the lucrin - unless it's something to do with the primulut triggering AF and giving pretty uniform results (although, with you, who knows!:) ) - hope your DH is good at taking instructions. i know mine was listening very closely to what was said about the injections in case i needed his help, and he sat with me first couple of times just to make sure i was "doing it right" - you should get instructions anyway with your injection pen, plus we're all here to help if you need it!! i have my fingers crossed that things start going they way your FS has planned very soon
Summer - sounds like you're having a rough time of it too - tonsilitis is never fun. take care of yourself. good luck with the broadband - even sluggish broadband is so much more convenient than dial up!
to everyone else - sounds like it's full steam ahead for EPU's and transfers at the moment - let's hope its the start of a mass exodus of happy pg ladies from this thread very soon!
as for me - still in a holding pattern waiting til after op next friday and the outcome of that before i can go ahead with anymore TTC efforts - very frustrating, but at least i know WHY we're on hold. was having a tough time dealing with the emotional side of everything that's going on at the moment, so made the (very difficult) decision to get some counselling - and i'm feeling a little better about life in general. still struggling to sleep properly (very weird dreams and stuff) - but i've taken a step in a positive direction (i think) and i'm looking toward the next few weeks with a clearer head.
Yeah Summer, Kind of splitting my time between here and the 6+ months forum.
When we start the ball rolling with regards to the FS, I'll probably hang out here more often. :)
Nic
BG if you click on my name in my post it gives alist of options including visit my homepage.
BW - sorry to hear things aren't going as planned  here's hoping you guys don't suffer any more set backs.
Summer - hope your sinuses & throat is on the mend. Put your feet up and relax!
Mel - had a quick flick through your photos, you guys look so happy. Glad to hear the day went well - congratulations once again.
BG - things are sounding like their looking up for you, that's great hope the surgery goes well - not long to go now.
Shannon - goodluck tomorrow, my fingers are crossed for you
EJE - how are you going? Monday will be here before you know it :)
Nic - sorry to hear AF arrived, dam witch. When is your appointment with FS?
Well i had a bit of an emotional breakdown in the middle of my acupuncture tonight - once i started crying i just couldn't stop! If felt so good to let it all out though, feel like its been bottled up for so long, DH has been great but it was nice to talk to someone else who understands what i'm feeling.
Hi to everyone else - here's to a stack of BFP's in March
Boo - We haven't made an appointment yet. DH needs to have a wisdom tooth removed in hospital, so we have to get the referral for that. I want to do that first, then we will start on the FS stuff.
Nic
Oops - was definitely having a vague moment there Mel! pics are awesome - i love simple garden weddings and casual receptions - they're so much fun. DH gave me the choice, so we got married in his best man's back yard, and reception at the local footy club - and we had the best time. you look gorgeous - and very happy! looking through your pics has motivated me to do something more with ours - 12 months on and we still haven't worked out which ones we want enlarged....... oops!
Nic - i completely understand the idea of waiting on the dental thing for your DH to be out of the way before things progress with TTC. DH had major dental surgery late last year, and i have it next week, so TTC has kinda been pushed aside - i'm so looking forward to it all being over so we can move forward in earnest with the TTC journey!
Boo - sorry you had a bad day, but as you said, sometimes having a really good cry just makes things feel better - glad it helped a little for you

I started spotting last night... I wonder if this brings us to Plan D? I assume the primolut is to raise my progesterone and induce AF, but this seems to be something my body wants to do itself.
I bleed while on active pill tablets, I grow follicles when I'm on synarel, I don't ovulate properly after a trigger shot and now I appear to be having AF only one week after this alleged ovulation!
Three freaking periods in 6 weeks?!!! I'm just so over this!
BW
