Hello everyone, Just a quick one from work!! Guess what!! We are going to Egg pick up we have 7 follies now! One of them is big 18mm and the rest are about 14mm so we might lose the big one but that still means 6 eggs and our FS changed his mind and decided to go ahead with the IVF!!! E2 was 1920 - Yay!! Go back on Monday for another scan and bloods and then go to EPU on Wednesday 18/03/08. Gotta go, just wanted to say YAY!

Loops - your the same as me! I'm cd38 now waiting for AF to start my first IVF cycle. I poas few days ago and again today but both BFN - but am getting some cramping so maybe today. By the way if you had pregnyl in your last IUI it will be long my period after my last failed IUI with puregon and pregnyl i was 42 days - but i will pray hard for you just incase!
Jaxi - your follies sound great but your nausea sounds awful! They estimate that follies grow around 2mm/day or two days - if i remember corectly. E2 is your estrogen level and indicates how mature the eggs are ie. higher E2 more mature - hope this helps - by the way if this is wrong someone please correct me!!

Bella - Thanks for letting me know that, now I know I can probably just hope to get AF as soon as possible and hopefully move forward. I was thinking it was probably because of the Pregnyl. Yes I had Puregon and Pregnyl in my last cycle.
I've had bad lower back pain since last night so I'd say AF is on her way. Hope she comes for you soon too so that you can start your IVF process.

Jaxi: The E2 level is importnant as it show how your follies are going, when it gets to high you are at risk of OHSS, I guess as you were saying you're not feeling so well BDT was wondering about this, lots of small meals with protein and lots of water usually helps.

Mornin everyone,
Phew, what a night! I was curled up in a ball feeling severely nauseous (sp?) all night. Feeling a lot better today though. I hope my 16 follicles hasn't increased to 20!!!
I'm not sure whether to ring the doctor now and tell him or wait the day out. I'm due for my trigger at 10:30pm tonight, which could push me over the OHSS edge........ok I have to get positive now ;) but I can't deny the fear of possibly losing this many eggs from a cancelled cycle. Am waiting to hear about a blood test for my E2 levels today. Hope they're not too high.
Jaxi - how are you feeling? Hope all is going well for you. I'm sending positive vibes through to you.
Twomums - hooray hooray hooray. That is such a great result. I can't wait to hear how it all goes for you two this cycle. I'm on the edge of my seat. :pray:

I'm out! I had my cry yesterday and I'm ready to move on. FS is moving me straight to IVF but this won't commence for 3 months.....time to start focusing on ourselves, losing a bit of weight, getting healthy etc etc etc!! Worst thing is.............i have to go to baby shower this morning!! eeekkkkk!!! Very good friend of mine so i can't be like that! Thanks everyone. I'm going to be lurking for the next few months but will join you again soon!

i had acupuncture on fri and was good.
i also had last pregnyl, ouch, so i should know by tue if i am utd. i am getting a BFP. got fingers crossed.

I ended up calling the after hrs number for the FC last night after my temp went up and I started puking my guts out with AWFUL AWFUL stomach pains. They were fantastic! Explained that although I was at risk of OHSS it was too early and my symptoms were pointing more toward a gastro than anything IVF related. My E2 levels were at 7000 yesterday which didn't concern them too much. They said it's more of a concern where they see the E2 levels rising at too rapid a rate (e.g. doubling over night). They took my puregon down to 25ml last night and I'm actually feeling a million times better today apart from bad stomach pains. Went in for another bt this morning to check my E2 again and should have the results in the next half an hr....
Add me to the teary list. Had such a long cry last night. I was just feeling sick and miserable and I get so anxious not knowing what's going on in my body with all the IVF stuff but hearing it's most likely a gastro made me feel better.

Sunflower - So sorry about the BFN, its just not fair. But so glad you are rearing to go again, picking yourself up and keep trying, it will be worth it in the end! I would give your little frosties a go. You never know... one might look like a crappy embie according to the scientists, doesnt mean it wont go on to be your bundle of joy! If nothing happens then go for another stim cycle. I think i read somewhere that blasts dont freeze/thaw as well as 2 or 3 day embies. I would stick with a single transfer as you are so young. Just my opinion.

Buggirl - So sorry this cycle didnt work, sounds like you are doing all the right things! Hopefully your last little embie will be lucky last!
Jaxi - E2 is short for Estrogen. When you have your blood tests to monitor your cycle, they are checking the E2 levels, the progestrone levels and the (LH) Lutinising Hormone Levels. If your E2 levels are rising nicely that means your eggs are growing and maturing. If they shoot right up they will keep an eye on you for OHSS. They like to see that the Progestrone and LH levels stay low. A rise in either will mean that ovulation is imminent and they dont want that before egg pick up. That is from what i understand anyways. Kim's E2 was 1920 last time and 848 before that and 450 before that so doubling every test. If your E2 goes above 3000 they watch out for OHSS i think.
Big hello to everyone else. Kim and I are now just waiting for yet another scan on Monday but cant wait til next wednesday to see how many eggs we end up with! Talk about a rollercoaster of a cycle, and thats just during the stim phase!!!!! Anyway, we just keep rolling with it. What else can you do??

Morning Everyone,
Well I have been very busy so it's time to catch up. We are booked in for BT & U/S on Monday, if I were a betting person and went on last cycle that would mean EPU on Wed and TF on following Monday but I will just have to wait and see.
Meanwhile we are doing renovations. I know they say not too whilst doing the IVF but in all honestly I have actually found the perfect balance :clap: I am just doing odds and ends and I have found by keeping myself busy its helped a lot this cycle. I am not sitting around wondering what my body is doing, well I still do but I have found doing the reno's has helped pass time and I am only filling cracks ready for the painting cause we are not DIY people as such I use a builder for 90% I just do little things. So if I can fill cracks and then paint away the TWW very carefully I promise that will be awesome.
Aleenta - How is everything going for you hun. I guess you have been busy cause I haven't seen you here a lot. I Hope everything is going well for you I am always here to talk if you need it :hug:
Bella - Isn't it funny the whole time we are TTC we say no AF, then we suddenly want her, well bring on AF for you!

Baby2bee - I feel for you with the baby shower. Last year we had a MC and my sister in law was also pregnant and just delivered a girl. I very happy for them don't get me wrong but it's very bitter sweet if you know what I mean. Just think positive and find something to think about to occupy your mind.
JBM - I use Emla cream. I am a sook but as no one here will inject for me i really struggled with the pain inflicted on myself. So after 1 shot I went to the chemist and bought some and now I use it all the time. Expensive but pain free. I also find the Orangutan hurts more cause its thicker, but thats just me. I think any needle sux.
Babydreamtime - Lots of :bluedust::pink-babydust: and :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: for your transfer. Are you having only 1 put back???
Oh JBM BTW our hubby's must be related somehow. Mine has said this is the last stim for this year. He thinks 2 stims is enuff for a year and then we look at next year if we don't get pg on the fresh and have no embies thaw again as last cycle.
To everyone else I hope you are doing well in your cycle. To those who have failed just look foreword, it's just how it has to be, we can't change the past but we can be responsible the future. Just relax regularly and do things that keep your mind active. A healthy mind is the most important thing as we all know that stress is a huge factor with IVF.

Jaxi - 7000 might be a little high...wait and see what your second level is and what the clinic says. Might be the start of OHSS but they can always 'coast' you to see if they level out. All the best for your blood results...:pray:
Thanks TwoMums. Looks like coasting it is for tonight. No injection tonight, 25ml tomorrow night and then scan and BT on Monday at which point they'll probably trigger with epu set for Wed.
I spoke with the clinic today and we have decided to start a stim cycle straight away so it's round 2 for us, start on the pill tuesday for the down reg.
So fingers crossed for this time :)
