Alright so things have happened WAY differently to what I expected!
I had my blood test today - day 9. The clinic calls and says everything looks perfect oestrogen at 1099 so please come in tomorrow for a BT and an ultrasound - oh and btw it's likely we will trigger you tomorrow.??? Sorry?? Why?? All she said was " you should be pleased"
So tentative blastie transfer march 31?!! see you soon miss B!

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Lol 3rd time lucky, sounds like these twinnie dreams are freaking you out! Well, you already know the hard work that goes into having twins. Plus you only had one embie transferred that decided it wanted to be two lol. I really hope you're right hun, I'd love to stop TTC actually. I am getting older and I don't want to be over 60 going to my children's 21st birthday parties! I am relaxed this time, I think listening to that fertility cd really helped me to get ready for my FET, and even now it's helping me to stay relaxed. I am eating better, I am drinking loads of water every day (I am usually a very poor drinker) as the acu lady that I used to see last year told me that plenty of water was essential when doing a cycle or TTC. Oh, and I gave up my 'one a day' ciggie habit a couple of months ago. So I kinda feel that I have gone into this FET as prepared as I could be.
Oooh I didn't see your post hun, yay!!!!! How exciting that you'll have your transfer soon. Can't wait for you to join me in the 2WW :). GL sweetie :)

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Yay for the water Miss B - how are you feeling btw? I know what you mean about the age thing - but hey 60is the new 50 or so I keep telling myself hahahaha.
That fertility Cd sounds amazing! I wish I had've done that! It sounds brilliant! I think you've done everything you could possibly done so now sit back and just enjoy the ride as much as possible?:)
Well I just had my bloods and the ultrasound done... 3 follicles on my right side size 9, 16 and 17 - I'm not really sure what that means but I don't think it's even relevant in FET other than to show you were going to ovulate?
My lining is 8 - the ultrasound lady said my FS liked between 7 and 8 so I guess that's good? They have given me the ovidrel (trigger injection). They will call this afternoon and tell me whether to use it I suppose? I'm only day 10 so I don't know whether that's good or bad? Unfortunately my DH is going away tomorrow - so he will be away for my transfer day.... Not much I can do about that really I suppose, and if I triggered tonight then I guess transfer will be this Saturday - which I'm thrilled about as it's on a weekend, so I can kind of chill out afterwards I guess. Although I'll have all 4 kids alone as our nanny has the weekend off - and we have a new nanny starting on Thursday (devastated our current nanny's time has come to return home:( so pretty emotional about her leaving as well.
Damn Clomid - I can't stop crying!!! And I've put on 5kgs!!!! Is that normal? How is everyone else going? Judging by the list everyone is fairly quiet in here... So I feel like my posts are all about me as I don't have anyone else to write about? Sorry:(
Juniper how are you going in the 2ww? And TT40 - have you tested again? :) I strongly encourage testing at all times, especially in the middle of the night etc when you can't sleep.... I am hopeless!!! I hope you are both surviving the dreaded wait! Symptoms or anything to report?
I have a last question... If I have to use the trigger - does that mean if I tested I would get false positives? I'm assuming the trigger is hcg and would give you a positive pg test result? Does anyone know how long it takes for the trigger to leave your system? What are you supposed to do btw - just start testing from the day after trigger and keep testing until you get a negative so you know the trigger is out of your system? And then start testing again for a result? I've even forgotten - after a day 5 transfer, when are you supposed to start testing to realistically get a positive result, if you are pg?
Sorry for all the questions ladies.... Its just been so long and I'm feeling a little bit anxious now that it is all becoming so real... Xx
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Nothing to report here. Still early days - too early for implantation or symptoms. Just run down and tired and a bit under the weather...
3rdTL, yes, the trigger will give you false positives. The time it takes to be metabolised varies from one woman to the next. If you want to test it out, you can start the day after or wait a few days. The key will always be whether the tests are getting lighter (trigger disappearing) or darker (real BFP with increasing levels). Very few women get a BFP before 10dpo (5dp5dt) and you could still have faint (false) BFPs from the trigger that early (although, it's also possible the trigger could be gone by then).
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Thanks Juniper! I really ppreciate the info - I have everything crossed for you hoping these a bfp coming your way:)
No trigger today -BT again tomorrow and then they expect to trigger me tomorrow.... Secretly I'm hoping I surge tomorrow before the BT and then idont have to use the trigger.... Xx
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
With my trigger shot cycles (all fresh cycles) I would basically start testing really early on (something like 1 or 2 days post transfer) and I would see that faint line, and then it would disappear and I'd know that the trigger left the building lol. In the BFP cycle that resulted in an early m/c, I tested very early on, and then there was a day which gave me a negative result, and then the line came back and I knew I had a bfp. But that was in my crazy, mad woman obsessed, queen of POAS days lol. I'm not even thinking of buying a test, sooooooo scared of another you know what...
FX that you'll not need the trigger shot hun!
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
=( still negative... I've lost hope.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Have been offline for a few days - sooo much to catch up on!
Ooooo GL to all the ladies in TWW and waiting for transfers - i have my fingers crossed for you.
AFM, I'm cycle tracking again this month, nothing so far and another BT to check for O tomorrow. Hoping it comes up and DH and I can get down to business! My gyno says she has all faith that I can conceive without assistance, it will just take time. However lately I have been going through that phase where everyone and everything reminds me of babies - from friend's kids, to baby clothes and even pregnant strangers in the street. Not sure if anyone else goes through this and I'm trying not get disheartened but it just seems to be a constant reminder IFYKWIM?
Lots of baby dust to all - we need some BFPs in here!!! :pink-babydust::bluedust:

Joski, GL with the b/t and catching the egg! I agree we need some BFPs, but you might have to lead by example... ;)

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Hi Ladies, sorry I have been mia for a few days
I see I have missed out on quiet a bit in here so a big GL to the Ladies in the TWW
Hi and welcome to the forum Third time lucky, hoping your stay is a short and sweet one!
TT40 - Sorry to hear you are not getting a positive with the tests, hope a BFP comes through for you, big hugs hun
Joski - I feel like you from time to time certian times of the month seem to be worse, not sure if thats hormone related. I have started gathering things in prep for SIL babyshower which I assume wont be till June but damn it is so hard buying baby things as I want to start buying for me!!! A lady at work had her bub last Friday a little girl she named Mia Grace a little cutie but again so hard as happy as you are for them it's heartbreaking for us. I have not idea what to say or suggest to change how you feel seems this is just the horrible side effects of LTTTC :(
Juniper - hope you have perked up and are feeling better
Miss B - Big congrats on being PUPO, woohooo
AFM - Started spotting today, not feeling any symptoms so I am sure it's the usual spotting before AF. I am going to test in the morning and if negative will start taking Dongquai as per Acu lady and parsley tea see if I can help AF get back to a normal cycle
Then once AF starts its going to be time to call the clinic and start my FET cycle. I feel nervous I am guessing it's because I am dreading the needles again I can't recall what meds I am on I have the scripts at home though so will have to get them out and make sure they are on hand to go fill the scripts when the time comes. Can't beleive I am back here again if someone had told me it's was going to take more than 4 years to conceive I would have told them theyre dreaming!!
Anyway Ladies, GL to you all. Love and light and baby dust to us all xx
Totally agree we need to start seeing some BFP

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
I'm sorry TT40, I too hope it's a late implanter :crossfingers:
Joski, I really hope that you can conceive naturally too! Babies are EVERYWHERE, it's so hard :(
Positively, you're almost there! Hoo hoo! Very exciting :) GL with your FET hun x
AFM, just plodding along. I feel sick in the stomach wondering what is or is not happening in there. The cd is great but I wish I could listen to it all day long! lol.
Hello to everyone else :)

Everyone else thinking of you all today, wishing you a great Hump day!
AFM - feeling a bit yuk today, went to bed with a headache and woke up with one. Spotting has stopped but something is going on in there I can feel it. Didn't test this morning thought I had a test at home but don't so will do so tomorrow morning.
If not then bring on AF so I can start my FET cycle :)
Love & light to you all Ladies, big hugs all round xx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Thanks Ladies, nice to know I'm not alone!!
Have had ewcm since last night but this morning's bt shows no O - back again tomorrow morning for another bt, hopefully I will O by then. It's DH's birthday on Friday so at least it's a good excuse to BD without the whole "quick, I'm ovulating, we MUST do it" feeling, IYKWIM, and fx catch an eggie at the same time.
Clinic was full of disgustingly happy people, obviously getting bloods to confirm pg this morning - I'm not being mean - it just compounded my Babies are Everywhere rant from yesterday!
FX for everyone

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
My bloodtest was today. They still haven't rung me with the results....im getting rather impatient. Esp seen as its friday, ive rung them but they have already switched their phones off.. should i call the after hours emergency number? ??
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Is there anyone there tomorrow morning? From their perspective, I wouldn't consider it an emergency (but from our perspective, waiting all weekend is just torture!)...
-
Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Hi all,
Sorry I've been MIA -
Miss B how are you going in the 2ww - I've been thinking of you a hundred times a day and hope you are feeling something positive!
Juniper thank you so mug for keeping the list up to date! It's such a huge job and I'm really grateful to you for keeping everyone up to date! How are you going in the 2ww - you are almost at the end of your wait! I so have everything crossed for you that you get your bfp, I think you are the perfect person to kick of a good luck streak in here:) Have you tested yet? Will you be testing?
Positively - I'm so sorry to hear of your bfn:( sending big hugs.... It must be so tough for you with your SIL being 22 weeks pg.... Hopefully she is the empathetic kind and if she knows of your and DH situation, then she will show you some love and comfort. If she's in her own world, I hope you survive seeing her, I know it must be really tough being confronted with a baby being on it's way into your family. But you have something to look forward to with a FET coming up!! Yay! I have everything crossed that all goes well for you and you'll be sharing being pg with your SIL:)
Joski - so frustrating... Waiting waiting... It sucks that when you really want O to happen, it always takes it's sweet time! Hopefully Sunday's BT will give you a big fat go for it.... And since it's DH's bday it's a good time to Bd like mad and make sure there are lots of little sperms waiting to catch your egg when it's finally set free:)
TT40 - wow nothing like waiting for the phone to ring! Personally, I'd be calling any number I had for your clinic. It's definitely an emergency:) if you haven't called at least it's saturday morning now and you can call? I have everything crossed for you that the result is positive.... It sounds as though you've had some encouraging symptoms? Have you POAS at home yet?
I hope I haven't missed anyone... It's pretty early in Perth (it's still dark!)
AFM - I did the trigger injection on Tuesday night. I requested ovidrel as even though it's more expensive it's already mixed up and ready to inject in one of those pen things... I always feel like I'm going to screw up the missing it up bit, get something wrong or knock it off the bench! I woke up Wednesday with a shocking headache, vomiting etc which didn't go away until Thursday morning! I started the progesterone pessaries last night. I'd forgotten how much fun they are - NOT! Tbh I've been feeling crap since I took the Clomid from day 3 - day 7. The trigger made me feel crapper and then last night I had cramps all night and the runs at 2am? I can't even remember if this is normal - I look and feel gross and the scales say I have put on 4kgs in a week? Given this is supposed to be an unmedicated FET (well it's not anymore after the Clomid, and trigger) I'm not sure why the weight gain? Juniper thanks so much for the heads up re Clomid affect on lining! I was really grateful for the info as I was able to ask if it had affected my lining. My lining was 7.5 when I had the ultrasound last Monday (I'm not sure really what this means) but the lady doing the scan said my FS likes your lining to be between 7 and 8? And apparently thy held off triggering me for another day- to last Tuesday to give the follicles time to get bigger (which I don't really understand either given its a FET and I wasn't having a collection) oh well.....
My transfer is booked for Tuesday. They will be defrosting 2 x day 3 embies on Sunday and have asked me to call at 1pm to check how the thaw went. Then they've asked me to call back on Monday as well. They are also going to thaw the one blastie I have frozen but I am assuming this will happen on the Tuesday morning immediately prior to transfer on the Tuesday morning? I feel really nervous - worried none of them will survive the thaw and that if the two defrosted on Sunday don't make it, it will be too late to deceit any more, which would mean a cancelled FET and a massive waste of time and money, as well as the negative affects on my body (and the hormonal fighting with DH:( I wish my clinic had have warned me how evil Clomid is! So now I'm jut waiting waiting...... Sorry fo the long all about me post... It hasn't been a great week (so I've kind of stayed away so I didn't inflict my hormonal state on anyone else...
I have a quick question - when should I start testing to see if the trigger has left my system? And Pinot how long does that take? Eg should I start testing before or after transfer? I just really want to know when it's out of my system....
Good luck and bbt dust sprinkle to all, especially Miss B, juniper and TT40 who are all waiting on results! Xxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Hi Ladies, hope we are all well
Juniper - can you please put me down as CD2 for today - also wanted to say hope your TWW is going well and you're not tearing your hair out
TTL - thanks for the lovely long persies :) sadly SIL is a very selfish person it's all me, me me. When she told me she was pregnant it was the night of her bday dinner her and her hubby picked us up from our house to take us to a restaurant with them. anyway I climbed in the back seat behind her she didn't say Hello or anything just handed me an envelope as I sat down. I obviously asked "whats this" to which she said "just open it" and inside was a pic of her 12 week scan. I found that a really **** way to tell someone, her with her back to me not actually telling me just shoving an envelope under my nose. Given they know we have been trying for years I thought that was friggin insensitive. Needless to say she has not been in our good books since.
Anyway that is my rant for the day, i don't think I will ever get over that one it must be one of the worst 'how to tell family you're expecting" stories :(
I have read with great interest your FET cycle since taking the Ovidrel. I have never done a FET cycle before so its interesting to see how you do the trigger a whole week before transfer. I too am not a fan of the progesterone pessaries horrible stuff. I too worry about our little embie not surviving the thaw but after being on this forum for a while I have noticed it doesn't seem to happen often so I am pretty sure our embies will be fine! Crap about the weight gain hope once the meds have worked out of your system you drop that weight. Well until a little bub starts making you gain weight again that is. GL with your transfer, will be thinking of you. Love & light x
TT40 - I am praying you have some good news to share with us this morning
Miss B - how quickly the 8 days have gone since your transfer....you're on the count down now woohoo Hope you start to have some positive signs soon if not already
Joski - Hope tomorrow's blood test brings you good news too
AFM - first blood test this morning so fingers crossed everything is in order and I can start the gonal f today. Can't believe 4 months have passed since our IVF where does the time go
Wishing you all a lovely weekend, sending lots of baby dust across the miles to you xx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Oh positively I'm so sorry... Your SIL sounds super insensitive and just plain mean:( ignore her as much as you can. These thing have a way of working themselves out! And you'll remember how she behaved when she needs a babysitter!
As for the FET something amazing to look forward to for you - the reason for my response is highly recommend the ovidrel if you have the option as you don't have to mix it up yourself (big relief for me) I'm hopeless at that kind of stuff and ovidrel was so easy to use!
The reason for the 7 days caught me off guard as well! I was expecting to trigger and transfer 5 days later (I'm transferring a blastie) but you trigger then wait two days for ovulation and then they count the 5 days til the FET for a 5 day embie... I'm not sure what your transferring but I guess the premise is the same whether its 3 or 5 days:)
I much prefer the persarries to Crinone - I hated that stuff it's gross:) Good luck for your FET I have everything tossed this will be the one for you
Xx

Positively, all the very best with your FET hun! So fantastic the time has finally come :)
3rd time lucky, sorry you've been feeling so c*** so far in the cycle! Not fair :(. Awww, thanks a bunch for thinking of me hun, unfortunately I don't feel very positive this cycle :(. Tested on Thursday, waaaaay too early to test (what was I thinking :wall:) got a -ve, so I freaked out and don't want to test again! lol. I'll be praying loads for you next week that the embies do really well and thaw out OK :)
Hello to all the other ladies :)

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Assess Miss B you gorgeous girl... Try not to freak out too much about the negative result. I tested too early as well with the twins and got a BFN. I didn't really have any symptoms or anything so it was pretty disheartening... BUT as you've said - it was probably too early to test, so it's way to early too be losing hope. I reckon with a 5dt anything after 9dpt is a reasonable time to start testing?
That being said - one of my friends who was cycling around the same time as me last time, got a bfn on a POAS on the morning of her BT - but she went and had the BT anyway... She had accepted it was a BFN and was pretty upset so she went out for lunch with her hubby and they had a G&T each followed by a bottle of wine.... Anyway, she got the call at 5pm that day saying it was a BFP (just after gorging herself on soft cheeses, sashimi and pate) needless to say she was thrilled but freaking out....
So I guess the point is - don't give up hope yet! And I'm sending you big fat hugs and all of the positive energy I have - your way. You really deserve to get your bfp honey, you've put in so much effort and done everything you possibly can. It's an unfair journey - but I really do believe you'll get your bfp if not this time then definitely next time! Hang in there gorgeous,we are all wishing like crazy for you.
Juniper, TT40 your both in my thoughts as well and I'm wishing for you like crazy as well:)
I just realized your in Perth same as me! If you ever feel like a coffee or a catch up let me know? I'd love to support you through your first FET if you want the support:) I'm at Concept - can I ask which clinic your at (it's totally fine if you don't want to tell me and I hope you don't think me rude for asking!)
Afm - I'm counting down til 1pm when I can ring the clinic to find out how the thaw went!! Feeling very nervous xx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014
Thanks for thinking of me miss B!
As always, I am fighting the internal battle of another cycle.
Spending money we don't have, BCP, Synarel, injections, scans, BT's, EPU and then ANOTHER BFN (possibly)
Can I do it all again? I'm not sure.
I want another baby..... Why can't it be easy?
