Just when we should be celebrating, life kicks us in the face. Should have been celebrating being 18 weeks on Christmas Day but AF reared its ugly head early. Was very hard to be in the "festive spirit" surrounded by family who had no idea. Find it very difficult to discuss my m/c with anyone. Still haven't totally convinced DP to go again but he has agreed to at least do the feasibility testing for the PGD. It's a start at least & since that can take 8-12 weeks to get a result, still have time to keep the discussions going.
Joe, it can take a long time to work through all the emotions. I'm glad he agreed to the testing, so you can do the prep work for when/if you are both ready to go again. Would you like me to add you to the list (does that make you CD8 today)?
Just wanting to wish everyone a happy, healthy and BFP full 2013... Lets hope that this year produces the miracles we all are waiting for!!! xxxxx

Hi All,
My name is Melanie and my IVF journey is about to re-commence. I did post a blog post with further details, and it was suggested I come here as you guys are so supportive etc. So I'll just re-post the blog post here to give a brief bit of background:

IVF journey is about to re-commence...and I'm scared. :crying:
So far everytime we've gotten close to starting IVF something has gone horribly wrong.
Since my last blog post we've had:
- Mayhem (cat) who was battling Kidney failure died. We also lost: Bobby & Fev.
- Emily (cat) had to have emergency de-sexing as she developed pyrometria, a serious (and possibly deadly) uterus infection & drug treatment failed to remove the infection.
- My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer....only to find out a month later he DOESN'T have lung cancer, it was a massive lump of infection in his lung that appeared as lung cancer on Ultrsounds/CT-Scans/X-Rays.
- My grandfather died after a 16 year long battle with Parkinsons Disease.
I'm just terrified at what is coming up next to stop our IVF journey. The emotional roller coaster we have been on for the last 2 years of trying to get the money together and get started with it all has seriously worn me down, and at times I believe been the sole reason why the hubby and I have been fighting so much.
We've got two appointments:
Appointment One: Fertility Centre, Dandenong - February 8, 2013 at 8AM
Appointment Two: RPA Sydney - March 28, 2013 at 2:10PM
IF everything goes well at Fertility Centre, the RPA appointment will be cancelled.
IFeverything goes well at Fertility Centre, by my calculations hormone treatment will most likely commence on March 6... a date in itself which is freaking me out (will be Grandpa's first birthday since his death).
And just to rub insult to injury, my step-daughter is pregnant again, and a work colleague I work closely with has also recently announced she is pregnant.

I am also a patient at the fertility centre in Dandenong and if this OI cycle is a bfn, DH and I will hopefully be starting ivf there! xxx

Mel- was that a lady named Fiona? She is lovely!!! They are all amazing actually!!! The nurse there Deb is great!!! She makes every visit special and the clinic is like a little home away from home for me anyways! Lol
