Hi all
Sorry I have been MIA, just trying to chill out and not think about the TWW. Have had every symptom under the sun but they come and go. One minute think that it might have worked and then think AF is on its way. Has anyone ever had AF arrive even when using prog pesseries. Really just want it to be over one way or another. Back to work this week so the hols are over. Sorry for the rant. Hope everyone is doing well were ever you are in your cycle.
-
Diamond - sorry the drugs are knocking yo around so much but hopefully that means your E2 levels are rising bit better. Are you triggering tonight?
Saph - Oh how the TWW drags eh? Try to ignore all symptoms as they really do your head in. It is certainly possible to get AF even on the prog pessaries ( I always do) so it IS a good sign if she stays away. GL!
Me - EPU at 11.30 am tomorrow. They will chk my lining again during sx so praying and crossing everything it might have done something, even if only a little bit.

Hi Ladies
I've been away for a while so have been catching up on everyone.
Sara69 - thanks for thinking about me! Well i'm in the same boat as you . I was in the tww for a week and a half - AF showed up early. I 2 must shift some kilos. So will call to make a FS appointment tomorrow. I think it is the end of the IUI line for us and we will be going on to IVF. I know everyone prob has this thought - but - not in a million years did I eva think I would have to go down that road!
DH sperm has improved so WHY WHY WHY? is this happening?
ahhh!
will have to start putting our pennies away now!
Good luck everyone! It WILL happen to us all - I believe it!

Merideth : Good luck for egg pick up tommorow, I hope your lining is behaving itself
Diamond my friend : EPU on Wedenesday, how exciting, I know you feel like cr*p, but it will be worth it when those lovely embies are ready. I hope the nausea slows down, one side effect that is certainly not wanted, after work try and rest up and relax in preparation for Wed.
Hi to everyone - will write more persies at work tommorow
-
Hi Girls,
Toby - I am sorry to hear that.Hop eyour FS appointment will help to see a way forward
Saph - :goodluck: not long know, keeping fingers crossed for you. Hopefully going back to work will offer distraction.

Just wanted to drop in a say hi to everyone and hope you all had a fantastic long weekend.
An update from me, still no surge....bugger... Have had lots of twinges so thinking my follicle is growing but just doesn't want to rupture. Last test tomorrow morning and if still no surge then off to the clinic for a needle in my bottom (ouch) to trigger for our FET. So I'm estimating that transfer will probably be next Monday, which would then mean a BT on the 16th, which is 2 days before my birthday..
Hope you are all coping... and if you are anywhere in Vic will be able to cope with the hot weather this week. We get our Air conditioning installed next monday, so the portable air con will be getting a hammering for the next 4 or so days...

back again
Hi
I am back again.
Thankfully I don't think I see any of the old names from last time I was in here.
My son is now 4 months old. He was conceived through IVF. I have severe (grade 4) endometriosis and have had 2 laps. I fell pregnant on my first round of IVF (although the cycle didn't go too well - but you only need one embryo which was all we got). Had a complicated pregnancy with grade 4 placenta praevia and 2 months in hospital prior to giving birth but as you can imagine I didn't mind - I was happy just to be pregnant.
I am going back to my FS on 12 March to try for no 2. I will probably need more surgery before the cycle to remove an endometrioma from my R ovary (it was there in my last IVF round but shrank during the pregnancy) I am hoping it has disappeared with the pregnancy and breastfeeding but don't know what the chances of that are.
I found that this forum really helped me last time.
Also I found acupuncture helpful as it controlled my emotional side.
Wishing us all success.

Hi girls,
Hope you all had a good long weekend :D
KellyD - it looks like we may be transferring on the EXACT same day! I go for my scan on Thursday and am HOPING I trigger that night so I can go for my EPU on Saturday with a transfer on Monday and then hopefully a BFP for our Birthdays!!!!!
jbub - Hi and Welcome :D
Meredith - hope your EPU went well today and your lining has thicked. :crossfingers:
Diamond - hope your feeling better and good luck for tomorrow.
Saph - hope your not going too crazy in the TWW. Hang in there.
Aleenta - Wow, 2 embies on board! Hope they are settling in nicely :D Stay relaxed and positive and hope to see you in TWW next week!
Hi to everyone else and hope your doing well.
Take care,
Tania

Quick question - has any of you had trouble getting a Medicare benefit for doctor's visits in between cycles? I didn't get a benefit for my appointment with my FS in early December after my cancelled cycle as Medicare deemed it a related service to my next cycle.

Hi everyone,
Have 1 on board now so fingers crossed and I will see you all over in the TWW.

Meredith: I hope your EPU went well and that you got some fantastic news. Although coming home sore in all this heat must be killing you.
Miss M: Yay, we will be exact cycle buddies as well as Birthday Buddies. We are actually going to be in your neck of the woods next weekend (7/8) ie: Ringwood, for a friends birthday. I knkw the area pretty well as I lived in East Ringwood for a couple of years and then Blackburn for almost 4 years.
Jbub: Welcome back to the TTC madness. It is good to hear stories of success with so many complications along the way. Lets hope that for no 2 you breeze through it all.
Well just wanted to give you an update but I got a new job today. After all the interviews and finally the medical today I got a phone call at 5pm offering me the job. Yay, only 30 minutes from home and my hrs will be between 12pm - 8.15pm Mon-Fri. It will also be good to get some extra cashola into the bank account before our little miricle decides to grace us with there company.
So that's 2 down - New House (check), New Job (check), New Baby (working on it hopefully this is our time)....
-
Congrats on the job Kelly D.
Wow you must've gotten heaps of embys. Good Luck with this FET.
-
Diamond - best of luck for your epu tomorrow - hopefully all the awful symptoms you have had to endure will be worth it :crossfingers:
Meredith - so hard that today went well for you and the epu was a success and your lining is looking good and cosy
Toby - good luck with FS appointment, I think we all know what you mean, I don't think anyone ever thinks they will be lining up for IVF - it's not really on the top 1000 things to do before you die
Jbub - welcome back, I hope your stay is short and you can emulate your first time success, albeit with an easier pregnancy this time round
Miss Magpie - your plan is sounding really promising - hope all goes well and see you in TWW soon
Well done Rob - see you in TWW
Sara69 - sorry haven't encountered that problem yet with medicare. I thought they would have to give you something back for any specialist appointment?
KellyD - Massive congrat's to you girl, you are right on track - 2/3 and counting down to no 3! Bring on that surge and see you in TWW soon.
AFM - just waiting waiting in 2WW - not knowing is the hard part, but trying to stay positive with meditation and accupunture - seems to be working so far.
Ciao for now

Sorry but will have to keep this brief as feeling pretty low and awful at the end of this very looooong day.
Got 23 eggs!!!! Don't know where some of those came from since my last scan. I know most of you would think this is fabulous but we almost halved my FSH dose this time to AVOID this many eggs as my FS thought that may have affected quality. And I end up with MORE than last time ( 21 last cycle)
Feeling MUCH worse physically - was at the hosp all day to try and control pain. Now feeling faint and ill from the pain relief. To add to that, my lining is defnitely no better, perhaps even worse ( don't know how that happens?). So more progynova although I really don't see the point as my E2 levels must be through the roof already. Another scan friday. Will likely still do ET given poor success with freezing but i don't hold out much, if any hope
This journey is just getting harder and harder and I just don't know what to do next. I am no where near ready to give up but don't know how much more I can put myself through if there is always such bad results. I just need some hope back but struggling to find any.
Kelly - huge congrats on the new job. No 3 on the list can't be far away
-
Meredith sweetie, I'm sorry.
I don't have any answers for you, but just wanted to give you a hug, and let you know that even though I haven't gone through the same thing I have now had two IVF cycles cancelled due to poor response, and so far I have no answers as to why. It is very frustrating when your body lets you down and you don't have a 'fix' for next time. However, I am sure they will get the formula right for us somehow....don't know how, but surely they would have seen this before?
I hope you are okay, and you never know, this cycle might be okay yet...I will keep everything crossed for you.
-
Meredith: So sorry that your lining did not play nicely for you. I can sympathise about the pain though (I had 30 eggs at my EPU and felt like someone had kicked me there with steel capped boots), 23 eggs are fantastic. you get some good embryo's to freeze. I know you prefer to do a fresh transfer, but if you can get some in safe keeping it might give you some hope for the future.
AFM: Off to have a follow up scan this afternoon to see if I still have the follicle growing or if I did O but not have it show on a surge test. I'm hoping that I didn't miss O as that may cause the cycle to be cancelled. The only positive is that if I have O'd recently, we might still catch it for FET earlier that expected. I'll let you all know how I went later today..

TWW!
Hi Bellas,
saph - all the best for you BT and I hope AF stays away. I'm 4 days behind you in TWW also, so I know what you mean when you say you try not to think about it. It's easier that way!
meredith - My thoughts are with you sweety. Take the time you need to recoup and you will soon find that fighting spirit again. Hang in there.
toby - I'm sorry AF came for you. There are so many other amazing treatments out there in IVF land that I'm SURE one will work for you and give you a gorgeous baby.
wouldluvabubba & sarah69 - Hope you are both well and you had a great Australia day weekend.
KellyD - Hope you got that surge line you were looking for and FET has been set. crossfingers: Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW JOB!!!
jbub - Hope baby number 2 is less of a rollercoaster for you. all the best and welcome to the thread.
tanya - good luck with FET :crossfingers: How many eggs are you transfering if you don't mind me asking?
sarah69 - Can't say I've had the same problem. However, if they think the account is part of your next cycle, you will be able to claim it back once that cycle has completed.
Rob & Aleenta - TWW buddies! all the best for a BFP!!! :bluedust::pink-babydust:
I'm sure I didn't get everyone, but it's not easy to keep up! There's so many now! I am thinking of you all and hope you all receive good news soon :happyforyou:
AFM: Well, it's day 6 now of TWW. no systems whatsoever. First time round was a nightmare because of severe OHSS. So it's a bit earie having no systems this time around. BT set for 4 Feb, day after DH b'day. BFP would be the most perfect gift ever!
Ciao
