Hi All,
Possums, I hope you are doing ok. I'm thinking of you
All my other friends, my thoughts are with you all too. I have had a really hard weekend and am just trying to get my emotions sorted out at the moment. I'm checking in on you all though a couple of times a day. I'll post again when I'm feeling a bit better.
Hugs all

Bel, hope you are feeling a little better.
I just posted my update in the TWW thread. Basically, I am not feeling too hopeful. Experiencing light bleeding and cramping, very worried its AF. Nurse says not to rule anything out until my blood test, so we'll see what Friday brings.
-
Bel - hope you are okay.
Had a close friend announce her pregnancy today - first month trying of course. Love her to death but it get more painful each time. Cant wait to start our FET next cycle, just want AF to hurry up and arrive!
-
Hello ladies,
Thanks you all for your kind wishes  All went well yesterday. I got 19 eggs!! Before i went into theatre, the dr who did the procedure came in to introduce himself and looked at my file and nearly fell over when he read my file and it said 30 follies. He said it will most definately be a freeze all cycle. But when i woke up and checked the back of my hand, it said 19. So now im waiting for the call today to find out 1. how many fertilised and 2. if i will be having a transfer on Monday. I really really hope i do have the transfer but at the same time, if i dont, i will be totally ok with it. I rather not get sick with bad OHSS. Im just really happy that i wont be having EPU for some time again. Surely with 19 eggs i have to have a few FET's up my sleeve should i need them now or in a few years hehe.
As for how i feel, well when i woke from EPU i was really sore. On the way home i started to feel nauseous and by the time we pulled into our driveway, i was sick all over the front garden. Not a pretty sight for the neighbours  But other than that, i have been feeling really good. No pain just a bit uncomfortable at times, except my throat actually. I hate how they put the tube down your throat, it always makes my throat hurt!! I started on the Crinone last night. I hate that stuff. Its soooo yucky! I also had 1.5 lts of water yesterday but will start the 3L daily today. So as i said earlier, i am now waiting on the nurses to call me and answer some questions.
Possums hang in there. Hope all goes well and you get some good news tomorrow.
Bel  hope you feel better soon.
BecD I hope AF arrives for you soon. I totally understand how you feel about hearing other people announcing their pregnancies when they "fall by accident" or after just 1 month of trying. I guess we just have to stay positive and remember that this all makes us stronger women and we will appreciate our children a lot more when we finally have them in our arms.
Janie how are you going? Hope all is well.
MissK how are you feeling? I really hope you are getting better and have some wonderful news for us in regards to your HCG levels.
-
BecD, I totally relate to how hard it can be hearing news a friend has fallen pregnant very easily, I have been in the same situation and while I am happy for them, it's hard not to feel sad, or a bit jealous, or even annoyed it couldn't have happened that way for us too.
Paula, 18 eggs, great news! let's hope lots fertilised overnight and grow strongly
hope you are feeling ok today.
as for me...still experiencing some bleeding and cramping. :( :( I know nothing is set in stone one way or the other until tomorrow's blood test, but it's hard to feel hopeful right now.
-
Paula - WhooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer:   What a great result. I am sure that you will get some frosties out of that. I tell you, doing a FET cycle is so much easier on your body and you mind! Not that I think you will need that as I am  you get to have your embie in you on Monday (we'll have 2 days together in TWW)... and that you get your BFP out of this cycle.
Possums - I'm  for you and your little embie. I know it is so hard to stay positive at this time, but just remember how strong you are. No woman who goes through IVF can be anything but strong. I know that you are feeling it extra bad due to your experience with you little angel. Know that they will be looking down at you now with lots of love.
BecD - I think all of us in here can relate to how you are feeling. Its so hard to see other people falling so easily when it is taking time for all of us. One day when we have our babies in our arms, we will reflect on this time as an important part of our lifes even though it is painful now.
AFM - still not much going on here. I'm now in the OWW with 6 sleeps to go until BT. Still not feeling any symptoms or side effects of the medication (hopefully that is a good thing!) News on my nephew is that he has put on weight nicely. When he was born he weighed in at a mere 669 grams, but then went down to a terrifying 555 grams! Good news is that as of yesterday he was back to 670 grams. And my sister got to have her first cuddle with him on Tuesday evening which was just so special.
Hi to anyone I have missed.

Wow I can't keep up so I will send out some  :bluedust: and :stickyvibesgirl:
Phew it has been busy.
Me: Last Pregnal yesterday and AP this morning which was really great back to AP in 10 days I have this wierd pulling sensation in my tummy not sure if that is due to streached muscle or bubs snuggling in :)
-
Tiggerlinda.... "pulling sensations" .... same here.. that and twinges... constantly, same as when I had the twins, like the body is getting ready for something (bubs hopefully)..... I m in the second week of TWW so :2ww: fingers crossed for both of us
-
Thanks AB I hope so sending some :bluedust: your way are you coming to the meetup on the 26th at New Farm Park?
-
I work weekends :( .... mind you if I test on the 23rd and its positive... I will be doing a whole lot of nothing for a few weeks... play safe
-
Paula, let me just start by saying OMG!! I was so glad I was sitting when you said 19 eggies...the prospect of never having to do another EPU must be such a relieve :happyforyou:
Can't wait to hear your update latter today...
Possums, hang in here....sending you :goodluck: for tomorrows blood test
Janie, 6 more sleeps till your PG blood test ...:stickyvibesboy:
AFM, am at day 15 and geeze the O pains are strong this month..wonder if it has anything to do with the STIMS from last month?
Did any of you ladies have very strong pains and lots of CM (sorry TMI) after doing a cycle?
As for everyone else big :grouphug: may we gets lots of BFP.
-
Janie what fantastic news about your nephew. And your sister getting her first cuddle must be just magic. So great to hear all is going well. And great to hear all is well with you too. Not long now. Yay we get to be in the TWW together even if its just for two days
Nicole, make sure you get in lots of BD over the next few days hun.
The clinic called and out of the 19 eggs, 10 were mature and out of the 10, 9 have fertilised :cheer::hooray: So i am very happy with that! They will ring continue to ring me to let me know how many keep growing nice and strongly. As for the transfer, it will be on Monday unless OHSS kicks in and i start bloating etc. So im guzzling the water like its going out of fashion! 2L down so far and 1 bottle of gatorade. I have lost count of how many times i have been to the toilet today! So now its really just a waiting game.
-
Great News Paula....sending your embies lots of :cheer::cheer::cheer:
Keep growing little ones......
Did you do a short cycle? If so what meds were you on/dosage?
-
Hi Paula, that is great news.
I don't want to be negative but with my first experience I thought it wise to share with you so you can make a more informed decision.
In my first stimulated cycle I had 22 eggs collected, but like you only 10 were mature enough. All 10 fertilised but only 4 survived. I later found out that sometimes with so many stimulated, not many have the chance to mature (then again you only need one mature to be pg which I know someone who did, so numbers only give you more chances but not necessary the lottery prize).
It appears that your doctor is attempting to culture the embies to day 5. The risk of day 5 is that we might not have any surviving to day 5 so I would recommend that you talk to your FS and discuss, weigh up your options on day 3. One option is to freeze some day 3 and culture the rest to day 5.
Anyway sorry if I sound negative. Just from experience, I wished someone had told me these things. I would have made a different decision back then.
Good luck
-
Good news Paula, good luck...I hope you have plenty of strong embryos in that lot.
-
Paula - the news just keeps getting better! for your 9 little embies to keep growing and growing.

-
HI everyone,
Just popping in to say 'hello'.
Paula I'm praying for you as well that everything goes well
Possums Good luck for tomorrow!
AFM I have my second scan tomorrow. Feeling a bit nervous - they could only find one ovary yesterday as one of mine is up high. The one they found only had one follicle about 12mm (or whatever the measurement is) and there were another two that were smaller. In my scan around ovulution before all this there were fifteen...so I have no idea what's going on.
Today I got off the bus from work and saw a Mum with a little baby in a pram - I started to cry. Geez its an up and down journey. And so hard to explain to other people who haven't gone through it.
Talk to everyone soon
-
Well i POAS and got a BFN:( so I am having a nice cold beer and will forget all about ttc until we get back from Queensland in October.

-
Possums -sending you lots of hugs and baby vibes. As everyone says, its not over until its over. GL with tomorrow's BT
Bel - Are you ok?
BecD - I think we all hear you on how upsetting other's pg anouncements can be. I know a few people who either fell pg on the pill or within a mth of coming off. It still upsets me but with time, i am becoming more hardened to it all
Paula - wow!! great numbers. Lets hope all those 9 embies just keep on growing and growing
Janie - Great news re your nephew. must be a real fighter.
TL - Hope those babies are snuggling in for the long haul
AB - sounds like there will be 3 of us testing on the 23rd - lets hope good things come in threes!!
saph - so sorry darl. Have a few beers I say!
KateB - GL with scan tomorrow.Hope those follies are getting going
AFM - Getting anxious as the days tick over. Today i feel a bit sickly but who knows if it means anything as I am also getting some cramping. I do get minor cramping with pg but this sems a bit more like AF -type. Just seems a bit early since only 8dpo. Saw my FS yesterday and now have a plan B. If this cycle is no good then Will give IUI one more go with E2 patches to try and help lining more and allow me time to have the pre IVF councelling etc. Then straight into antagonist IVF cycle. I hope I don't need to go this far but feel better about having a plan and cutting out some waiting time
-
Hi Everyone
So pleased to drop in tonight and see so many of you are doing well.
TL- I pray your bubbies stick and your on your way to be being a mummy!!
MissK- I hope your OHSS settles but i have a good feeling you have a bubby in there thats making you very sick.
Im really bad at remembering names but i too can understand about being impatient, i dont know many women who pray there AF does what its supposed to and arrive on time. AFM well i have absolutely NO IDEA what my body thinks its doing with AF coming and going daily even though it only finished a week ago......so frustrating. Rang my FS and they got me in monday hope he knows whats going on (at least one of us should).
Talk Soon
Bee (24) DH(30)

Hi
Thought i would drag myself in and say hello! Im not sure I am in the right thread. We have been TTC for 11 cycles and just found out that I have hormone problems (elevated prolactin) inhibiting conception, and poor sperm on DH's part.
My prolactin levels are higher than a woman who is demand-breast feeding, which inhibits the other hormones required for conception. Bugger!
So it seems this will be a long term thing and I will get to know you ladies well :).
-
Nicoles yes this was a short cycle as i am going away on 21st aug so i wouldnt of had time to do the whole long cycle. I took provera to bring on my period, i took synarel and then puregon 175 then dropped to 150.
Kahlan i dont think your being negative at all. i love to hear all sort of stories because it prepares me for the worst so thanks for sharing.
KateB good luck with your scan today. hopefully you will find more nice sized follies. GL.
Saph so sorry to hear about your BFN.. Enjoy your beer and holiday to queensland and im sure October will be your month.
MeredithD im sure they arent AF cramps. Hang in there and think positive.
oscarroscar welcome to our thread. I hope that your stay in this thread is short and sweet and that you make the most of all the wonderful support all the ladies in this thread offer.
Well i still have sore ovaries but i weighed myself and no extra weight which is fantastic. I have been drinking all my water and resting so hopefully i avoid the worst case OHSS. Waiting on call from nurses to tell me how many embies have made it through the night.
-
Hi all, just posted in the TWW but wanted to post in this thread to, that sadly I got a BFN today. :(
in August or Sept we'll do a FET with our one little frostie.
we're pretty sad and dissapointed.
all the best to all of you.
-
Possums - I am so sorry for you sweetheart. All my love and comfort is coming your way right now - there are no words, but know me (and all the other beautiful women here) are hugging you across space.
Kate
-
Hi everyone,
A second post - that last one was just for Possums.
I had my second scan and blood test today and they can only find six follicles in total, two of which are getting there, the other four are smaller. I don't understand. When I had a scan before all this to see if there were any issues up there I had fifteen follicles. Shouldn't the FSH make more follicles, not less? :dunno:
I'm up to day 9 today.
Kate
-
Thanks Kate for your kind words. Like you I cry sometimes when I see mum's pushing little ones in prams. (and especially today!)
Sorry things aren't progressing how they should be with your follicles. It can be so frustrating when our bodies don't react they way they should.
-
Possums sorry to hear you got a BFN today. Cyber hugs . It can be really really devastating. Hang in there.
-
So sorry possums.. sending you lots of virtual
KateB im not sure. Like you i would think that the puregon would help produce more follies?! Did you mention this to the nurses?
Nurse called me today to let me know that all 9 embies have made it through the night and have grown nicely  :cheer::hooray: I totally understand that anything can happen from now till Monday but its still great to hear.
-
 Paula - great news! that they all make it through to Monday.
KateB - I know for me, my body just has a mind of its own when it comes to the FSH. I have PCOS, and the dosage I have one month can work perfectly, and the next month do nothing at all. have they upped the dose or are the just going for a longer period? I know my FS used to be wary about upping my dose because of the PCOS issue. PCOS causes your ovaries to be very tempermental!
Possums - like I said in the other thread, you are in my thoughts and my heart today. It is devastating
Welcome OscarOscar - I hope your stay here is short and sweet!
AFM - 5 sleeps to go! Still felling okay. Not getting any real cramping - the odd twinge now and then. BB's starting to get a little tender today, and I have had the itchiest nipples (TMI) over the past few days! Hoping they are all good signs.
Wishing you all a happy and safe weekend.
Janie xxx
To everyone else - :bluedust::pink-babydust:
-
Possums - I am so, so sorry to hear your news. I totally understand your devastation. I hope you and DH can do something nice together this w/e and look forward to a sussceeful FET
Kate - Sorry, can't answer you question fully but be aware, "resting" follie numbers are variable from day to day. Some will regress and others develop over time. Not sure when you had the 15 follie scan but having 15 prior to meds doesn't mean they will all develop. Have you asked your nurses what they think?
Paula - go embies, go !! Hope they can all make it to Monday - wouldn't that be great!!
janie - itchy nipples here too!! Bit annoying at times!
-
Thanks for the replies - I think I will ask the nurse on Monday what the deal is. It's all so confusing!! But, gotta keep going...;)
-
Hey Janie not long to go now... Getting closer and closer. how you feeling?
Call from nurse again today and all 9 embies still growing nicely! Hoorrraayyy! They must all be competing against each other as to who is the lucky one that gets to come into a nice warm home rather than be frozen.. HAHAHA
I have woken up this morning.. and without jinxing myself.. im feeling really good. Ive acually gone slightly down in weight rather than gain and the pain is all but gone. The nurse said this is wonderful news. They have booked me in for ET on Monday at 8am. She said the Dr will assess me first to make sure i am ok then he will decide if they go ahead or not but she said the fact that the pain is going and that the weight isnt increasing is a good sign. I told her that i was still worried as some women dont get OHSS symptoms till 5 days after EPU so im worried that im still at risk and that if it hits me just after ET ill be in trouble and she said that it is true, some women do get really bad OHSS 5 days later but they would have had pain and some weight gain the days prior to that so i would have to be in pain and slightly over in weight already at this stage. So i have been praying that i get away with it and that my embie gets transfered on Monday and grows to be a healthy baby in 9 months time .
-

hope everyone is doing well.
-
Hi everyone,
Just a quick query - I'm trying not to analyse every little thing, but its my first cycle so I'm a bit of a newbie!
When on Orgalutran (or the Orangatang as my nurse calls it...:p) did anyone have what seems extra cervical mucous (putting it bluntly!)l? I was a bit suprised today with having it - noone has really said that would happen....
Well - two more sleeps til hopefully the last scan before the egg farmer comes with her little basket!!
Big  to everyone,
Kate
-
Hi All,
Possums- So sorry sweets. Look after yourself. We are here if you need us.
AFM, I'm away for work at the moment so can't get to a computer much. The witch AF turned up yesterday 2 weeks too early for the plan my FS had for us, so now we just have to try to work out what we are going to do to fit in with my crazy body.
I was in Sydney yesterday when AF arrived which almost gave me a nervous breakdown. My FS wanted me to have a BT on day 2 and as I flew out of the country last night and was 1000kms away from home when AF arrived I was just beside myself.
Luckily an angel friend of mine rang her clinic in Syd and they took my blood. I have just emailed my results to my FS to make sure I am now on the right drugs. So far am taking 6mg of progynova a day. I normally need to go up to 12mg...6 tablets to get my lining ready.
Things will be hard now as I was due to leave the country again right when my scan and hopefully transfer will be. Oh the dramas of IVF and my job!!
Anyway, sorry for the selfish post again. I had a really bad weekend last weekend. Found out 2 people in our lives are both 3 months pg. Just came at a really bad time for me with a lot of other things going on ATM.
I am thinking of you all as always though and hoping everyone is doing well and all little eggs and embies are behaving as they should.
Have a great weekend my friends. Will check in on you all in a couple of days.
Hugs Bel
