Afternoon Ladies,
I too am also just starting my first IVF ICSI cycle. DH and I are currently going through Dr Lok at SIVF. They have been fantastic so far.
Anyway, started on 10units of Lucrin injections last Thursday. Was quite surprised with myself that I was able to do them. Was a bit worried to begin with. So moving on, took my last pill on Sat night and now just waiting for my monthly friends to arrive. Have a BT all set for this Thursday and have been told by the IVF nurse that all going well, will start my FSH injections on Saturday .
Just a bit more about us, as well as the ICSI and the IVF were also doing PGD. My husband has a genetic condition and so we were able to be provided with the option to make him the only one in the family with it. We started our whole IVF adventure just a little over 12mths ago now and now its time for all the great exciting things.
Hope we can all support each other on here. Will definately need it. Am kind of stressing a little too because I know im taking the injections but aren't really feeling anything other than a slight sore head. Is this normal I wonder??
Look forward to hearing about all of your experiences and tips
Motherhood here I come :welcome:
I am also with SIVF (city) and I think you're in great hands!
It's really exciting once you start the injections because it means things are finally moving along. It is surprising that we can inject ourselves and it really becomes second nature after a while.
I had the same dosage of Lucrin as you and the only side-effect it gave me was dry-mouth! Very strange how drugs do different things to different people. But you're in the right place to be bouncing things off other people and you'll get lots of great advice here.
My tips are acupuncture, lots of rest, good food, lots of fluids, gentle exercise. I am big on the acupuncture b/c I feel it's really helped in keeping my stress levels down. Also, the increase in IVF success in conjunction with acupuncture is well documented. (No - I don't work for one! :D).
Good luck with everything.
xxTaurean78

Hi Ladies
Hi Nioka (Colinsgirl), Louise Matthews here (facebook). GL with the IUI, hope it all happens first go for you. The follicule size with IUI is not as crucial I dont think as with IVF, there don't have to be as many etc but just the right ovulation time mainly.
Probably try not to think about it all too much, just occupy yourself with other things (easier said than done).
Some people have implantation cramps and bleeding, i havent but then again I havent been pg.
Taureen and Mitf - hope you're not going crazy in TWW - still thinking of you. All the best x.
Emerald Star - yes I have FS appointment nice and quick on the 10th Sept but still not sure if we will be having another go just yet because we probably need to sell our tractor first. We'll see. Glad you are going ahead and so happy that you are so excited. Good on ya and all the very best xo.
B2B - all the best with your cycle - exciting!

Hi Guys,
Motherhood here i come - :welcome: GL with your cycle.
Wiliamsemma59 - Thanx for your thoughts.
Baby2bee - GL with your FET - i agree about the excitement. Just thinking the possibilities that IVF holds, you can't help but get excited and hope the next one is "the one". GL
Loops12 - Hope you can get back on the IVF rollercoaster ASAP! Medicare rebate is about 80% so you really only need to come up with the other 20%...GL
I had FS appointment today and we have slightly changed my next protocol...i just have to wait for AF to show in Sept and I'll be on my way...I will really pray that things financially fall your way.
colinsgirl - GL in your TWW. I know its hard not to try and read into things...so i'm not gonna advise you on that:lol:

Hi everyone! so many of us in here now.
colinsgirl & Motherhood here i come - welcome and good luck!
williamsemma59 - congratulations!
AFM - CD 6 and noticing that gonal f makes me feel like a bloated mess, not just my tummy but my face aswell. I hope this isn't a sign of OHSS :(
Hi ladies,
A quick update from me, have been a bit busy at work!
Had US yesterday and have about 8 or so follicles there - bigget one only 10mm so they have increased my dose of gonal f injections to 225 and back for another US on Friday. They think EPU may be early next week. :p
All quite exciting, especially as it is the first (and hopefully only) time!:crossfingers:
I have noticed feeling a bit crampy last night and today. I wonder if it is just my imagination or if it is the drugs working - I do recall how much they can grow in a day so maybe stuff is happening.
I notice a lot of you doing the accupuncture thing and I noticed a seperate thread about that and the success rates with IVF - I think I might look into it as I had not heard of it outside of here. Thanks girls!
Anyhow - hi to you all and I hope you are all well. Welcome to all the newbies - it is a great place to be for information and moral support!
Krikkit - I was bloated this time on Gonal but I only have 1 eggy on board but thats all we wanted this time round! *STAY AWAY OHSS*
nix - That is exciting bet you can't wait for this first round and I am  its your last
AFM - 2DPO and have cramping from my ovaries not sure why just feel off today I am assuming this is the norm... Also no CD21 BT for me this cycle which seems strange :S so another 12 days till I know whether or not this is the one!
Miss K - no OHSS yay - im glad for you. All the very best, hope you get you BFP!
Emaerald Star - still not sure even with the money back as to whether we will be having another go straight away because we are probably going to need the money we get back for overdue bills but it will be a help and perhaps we will be able to save for Oct. Hopefully wont be too far behind you anyway and I truly hope we can share pg stories and symptoms soon.
Im thinking at least a month break might be good for my body anyway and stress levels.
Williamsemma - I hope its not because of me your're not wanting to share your news. Blurt it out as much as you want because Im extremely :happyforyou: I was a bit touchy at first but I mean I could have just not visited these sites as much but I was fine with it all in the end. Hope you are going well and your bub is growing nicely.
Krikit - I truly hope its not OHSS. Lots of water I suppose just in case. I hope they are good positive pg signs. GL :crossfingers:
Nix - I hope your follies are growing along nicely at the moment and you get good quality eggs at EPU. GL
Much love and :bluedust::pink-babydust: to all xo
Still waiting on Af here, I feel like a big fake. I started Synarel on CD 21 and Im only my 7th day of it now. My cycle isnt usually this long....Im busting to get moving onto the next step:rolleyes:
williamsemma59 - do not fel bad about posting your BFP!!! I will not allow it. THis is what we are all aiming for and it brings me great joy to see someones dreams come true...believe me, i will be shouting it out from the rooftops, if it was me. After all the crap we go through to get that BFP, who are we to take away all the excitement from you...we are here not only for the bad times, but we are here for all the BFP's too.
In saying all that..i am only speaking for myself.Others may feel differently.:hide:
Krikkit - I was very bloated and even added a few kilos on my cycle. Drink plenty of water is what i hear.
Nix76 - It's getting close to the exciting bit...and then the other bit...and then the dreaded 2WW!!
Loops12 - I will be waiting for you:D
Hey Ladies, How are we all this evening???
Tracey - was reading through the posts and noticed yours. You and I started our first cycles together on the same day. My first Lucrin Injection was also on the 13th and tonight was my 7th injection!! Like you, I too am still waiting on AF. I stopped taking my OCP on Saturday night and normally by now if i was still on them, i would have AF. I'm off for my BT tomorrow to check on the Lucrin levels so fingers crossed it comes soon because were due to start the FSH injections on Sat. Heres hoping we dont have to put them back!!!!!
If anyone else can share their story with us to help ease our minds it would be greatly appreciated.
Fingers crossed though that AF arrives. Have never wanted it this bad before .
Hope everyone else is well and things are progressing just the way you would like them to.
Good Luck to everyone :bluedust::bluedust::bluedust::bluedust::stickyvib esgirl::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesgirl:
