Jasmine, hope to hear good news from you today.
I just had a phone call from the clinic which I booked Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy, they said if I want to go ahead, they will book me in on next Tuesday, that is my CD18. I heard the best time doing it is 3-7 days after your period finish. Does anyone know it is still alright for doing it?

Bestrong, I had mine on CD15 as the exploratory one and then my last one where they removed endo I was CD8. My FS wasn't concerned what day I was in my cycle for either of them.
Great news Kel :)
Good to hear, Kel!
Bestrong, I had my first lap and hysteroscopy at O time (CD16) and my second at CD4. My FS will do them any time of the cycle. My second one was originally expected to be around 12dpo, but I O'd early that cycle for some reason and so AF was early, which made the lap CD4 of the next cycle instead. My only concern with doing it at CD18 at short notice is that you need to be sure to use birth control if you are going to O before then. If there's any chance you could be pg (ie if you've already O'd and have TTC'd this cycle) I wouldn't do it.
Hi girls. Thanks for thinking of me today. Unfortunately not good news for me. Scan showed absolutely no response again. My ovaries were doing nothing at all and my lining is 'very very thin'. So back to the start for me. We are going to try again with 250iu of Gonal F and see if I respond better. The FS is getting increasingly concerned that we are not going to be able to get my lining good enough for a transfer.
The FS also got my AMH BT results back and also not good news there. It is apparently very low for my age.. I have just been diagnosed with a decreased ovarian reserve.... I think I just hit the reality that DP and I may never have a child of our own
Jasmine, I am so sorry Hun!! Don't give up though there are so many other options that they can do to get us our little miracle.
Oh Jasmine hugs hun x talk about double blow :o but like the girls said don't give up! There's still hope. Take solace that you made 3 beautiful blasts! And still have eggs and fx you will get that lining sorted soon x
I'm so sorry Jasmine - that just sux. I tried to pm you but your message box is full.
Jasmine I'm so sorry you had such news. We have to have so much trust in the drs and scientists to give us our miracles. Hang in there xxx
Jasmine that sucks
A friend just had her fourth bubba. Very happy for them, but struggling with jealousy........ Would love to have more and more whenever I wanted....... Poo
:-(
Williever I completely understand. I now have 4 pregnant at work & another one doing her first ivf - she so excited. I do hope it works for her but WHEN IS IT MY TURN!
Jasmine, I'm so sorry the scan did not go well for you today :( Don't give up hope hun, I hope that there is something that can be done to improve your lining so you can do your FET :crossfingers::hug: xox
Jasmine, I feel so sorry for you. There is the other option I have already PM you. Hope you can receive it.
Thank you Kel. and I am happy your appointment went well today.
Juniper, it is a good point I never thought about it, thanks for your concern. For some reason we did not TTC this month.
Williever I'm surrounded by babies too! My friends, my sister in laws even two of my nieces! It seems like every other day I'm hearing news of another pregnancy! Its so hard :( but you know we have to have faith that soon it will be our turn!
I'm putting my hand up for it to be my turn soon too :(
N2L I want it to be your turn soon too. You are such a strong beautiful woman. You deserve this. Xx

Jasmine, I'm so sorry to hear your lining is still no cooperating. I had really hoped it would behave this time. Are you going straight into the gonal-f (since it sounds like you're still baseline)? Did your FS tell you your AMH number? Sometime low "for your age" isn't too bad. Lol, of course, mine is low for a 45yo (and I'm only 37), so mine's pretty bad. But I've been reading a lot of discussion lately between DOR ladies on another forum, debating whether there really is a correlation between low AMH and low quality. They seem to think (maybe denial?) that AMH is just about quantity and that it doesn't necessarily mean it's all doom and gloom on the quality front. That said, I know how devastating it is to be told your number is low - I found out this time last year and it took 6 months for me to really accept and move past that bad news and to be ready to confront it (ie resume treatments).
Ugh, this has been a week of baby news for me too - Monday night my sister sent a pic of her first u/s (8wks), then my FB newsfeed exploded with the royal baby news around the same time, then Tues morning I was woken by DH phoning me to warn me that his sister was sending messages announcing she's pg (15wks and guess how long ago they got married... oh, wait, just 3 months!). I want the next announcement to be coming from this group, okay?
Thanks girls for all your comforting words and hugs.. It means a lot!
Juniper, Yep my level is pretty bad. Low for a 45 year old and I'm still under 30 (just)! I am still baseline so was told to start the higher dose of Gonal from yesterday.
Started accupuncture today and it has made me feel a little better about things. The acupuncturist is going to email my FS and recommend that I be put on prednisone. He also gave me a list of things to do such as increasing protein and electrolytes etc.
Will BBL for more personals.. Just on the iPhone atm xx
Jasmine sorry you didn't get better news. Hope you get some answers to sort out your issues so that you can get your frosties on board xxx
Jasmine I'm curious to know about Prednisone. My FS recommends as standard during fresh and frozen cycles but I had a reaction to it and he said to stop. But I'd hate it to be a reason why my cycle would not work! Did he say what it does?
Bunny- My FS called me yesterday and said he will put me on prednisone this cycle. He said that it helps with implantation as it suppresses the immune system and stops the body 'attacking' the embryo. Are you able to do a FET this cycle or do you have to wait out a cycle?
Beestrong- I'm glad you have decided to go with the lap. Good luck.
AFM- Started taking low carb protein powder yesterday as recommended by my acupuncturist along with omega 3 and iron tablets.. Will be interesting to see if it makes a difference. My FS has also agreed with the acupuncturist and will be starting me on prednisone. Fingers crossed all of this combined with the 250iu of Gonal will get something happening. Just waiting for Monday for my next scan..
Sounds like a good plan Jasmine. Fx it does the trick and you can do your fet.
I had meet with my fs yesterday. My lining hasn't shed enough and he said my ovaries are too active still. So he wants to scan me and do bloods again tomorrow morning to see if things have settled but he thinks I may need to rest for a month

Feeling crampy today.. i dont think this cycle has worked :(
Try to keep positive glorious...you're not out of it yet xxx
Glorious, feeling crampy through or at some point durring your 2WW is not alwasy bad news. Lots of girls have cramping fearing the worst who get a BFP. Hang in there! GL hun xx
Jasmine, I hope the new plan is going to work for you :crossfingers:
Bunyfeet, GL with your scan and BT tomorrow x
Juniper, big hugs hun
N2L, I'm putting my hand up too :)
AFM, got spotting so I think AF is pretty close. Can't wait till my FET...
Glorious, cramps alone are not a sign of the end. I get them either way - BFN or BFP. And I had more cramps with my IVF BFP than my natural ones... FX it's a false alarm and you'll be getting good news. :goodluck:
Yep my FN and my friend both said you can get AF cramps either way probably caused by extra progesterone. Hang in there :)
I'm not taking progesterone.
Maybe I am just comparing it to my natural conceptions ( so very long ago!)
Double post
Lovely ladies I need your advice! Had my scan to see if I could start fet and my old problem is rearing its head, lining too thick to start. FS has given me option of either starting BCP for 16 days or wait for next natural cycle. Have any of you taken the BCP before an ivf cycle and any opinions? I guess I'm a bit paranoid taking it because my sister was just dx with breast cancer few months ago. Just wondering what anyone's experience of it was, thanks :)
Glorious- Hang in there honey.. As the others have said cramps alone is nothing to worry about (I know I know easier said than done), but it could be bub getting snug rather then the witch stalking.
Bunny- Sorry can't help with that question honey but I hope some of the other ladies can offer you some good advice.
MissB- Sending AF vibes your way so you can get your cycle started!
Beestrong- How are you going Hun? Is your lap this Tuesday?
AFM- Still plodding along with my Gonal F.. 2 more sleeps till my next scan, I'm busting to see if this latest protocol is doing anything!
Sorry bunny I have no idea. Hopefully someone can help you
Jasmine - your message box is full again Hun
Sorry Beau I just emptied it.. It seems to only store about 4 messages?
Bunny for my antagonist cycles I always take bcp but that is more to be able to time the cycle to fit in with the lab for pgd testing
Jasmine, I really hope this way will work on you better, your acupuncturist is really helpful. As I know Abalone contained very high protein, making soup with chicken or pork, it tastes very good (my husband like it). You can buy from local fish shop (frozen one) or Asian shop.
N2L, I am putting my hands up too.
I cancelled my Hyst. and Lap., the anaesthetist called me on Thursday, he wants $900 prepaid now (I was told is around $300) and the hospital bed fee is $1305 (I was told $550 in a different hospital ) and assistant fee no one tell me how much exactly, it is likely to be around $5000 and I was budgeting about $3000 before as the information they gave to me, plus short notice and I have to take extra days off from work before my holiday, I was so stressed and I decided to cancel it yesterday, now I feel much relieved. I think I am having too much at moment, thinking changing doctor and clinic and getting all the tests (blood, urine, swab) done next Monday and I have to go back to this doctor the following Monday. I feel overloaded and I had a big cried yesterday, now I feel much better, I need to do all these step by step. Having my holiday first and think all the others later.
