I logged on as soon as i could to see whether you were making us wait or not BG. I am sorry you didn't get a nice big fat second line, but you can't give up hope just yet. I will still keep all those positive vibes up and wait for the blood test.
You'll make aunties (and an uncle) out of us all soon!
-
Just stopping in briefly...
I'm feeling a bit less stressed today, but I'm still very strung out. Just doing my best to keep myself distracted, relaxed and happy... so I'll probably be fairly quiet for the weekend...
Still keeping my fingers crossed for BG. :crossfingers:

thanks ladies
jo - i'd decided if i got a bfp i was going to leave an obscure little messafe to make you wonder...
tehehe - im so evil sometimes...
-
Hi Everyone!
BG - Don't give up hope - When I fell with Luke, AF was due on the Thursday... I did a HPT everyday for the week leading up to it and BFN everyone including Thursday as well!
I didn't get my BFP until Friday morning, so nature can always push us to the limits!!!!
My GF (after the Thurs night one) told me I was crazy doing another one Fri morning, and I was just upsetting myself... I had this feeling that Its not over til its over..... and until AF arrived I would continue with the HPT's!!!!!!!
(I'm sure I must have almost owned shares in the HPT company back then, the amount of $$$ I spent on them that week!;))
Stay positive and do whatever you can to keep your mind from going crazy with the waiting!!!!
Good Luck Sweetie xxx
Love Holly:D

wel, the wait is over - AF decided to show this afternoon - of all times while visiting family that we haven't seen in months! she has brilliant timing, huh? i know i should be devastated, but i think i'd already come to a level of acceptance late in the week that things just weren't going to happen the way we wanted them to
thanks everyone - looks like i'm back in the waiting game again to find out what happens next
-
BG- im in shock reading your post i was so so sure you were out of here. Im thinking of you hun.xx
What a horrid time for you for her to show. are you going to still have your BT Friday? GL hun and i hope that the bleeding stops and that your BT stil gives you good news
-
Oh BG, I'm so sorry... lots of hugs
Nic
-
hmmmm, i'm guessing you mean BG, not BW... LOL
have called the clinic - they didn't actually tell me what would happen if AF arrived - so left a message just asking what the next step is - i'm guessing i'll have to wait a few weeks to start again (i doubt they'd let me go through a stim cycle again straight away) - but i'm back in the unknown - and just have to take it easy and wait on instructions from the people in the know...
can't see the bleeding stopping any time soon - i'm very sore and crampy at the moment - guess i knew she was on her way - have had an upset tum today, and have picked up a cold - immune system usually disappears to non-existent when she shows - (yeah, cos SHE doesn't make me miserable enough on her own...!)
-
BG - Sweetie I just wanted to send you some hugs:hug:
I was sure this was it for you to - I agree with Lou, I thought you were out of here this month;)
Sending you all of the strength you need to rise above this little setback... you sound like you have a wonderful DH to keep you warm and cuddled until you feel better.
Lots Of Love,
Holly

Sorry about AF coming BG. Oh damn her, she never comes when you want and then always when you don't want. Do you still have to do the blood test? MIVF makes you do a BT regardless of if AF is there or not.
As you say - now you know that you have a really good LP. Maybe you will get to try again in a months time - if your body behaves itself.
And i was so looking forward to triplets. :D:D:D
-
BG...so sorry hun...look after yourself...thinking of you xxx
-
BG - Really sorry  Just think one step closer!
As for me ill keep hanging around TTC naturally for the next couple of months whilst i settle in to the new job.. and then hit the IVF ride again in Oct/Nov and I hope and pray you have all graduated to the pregnancy threads!
We get the results of our testing this week so :crossfingers:
-
We bought a dog today. It's so much easier. And the cat and dog actually get on!
I said to DW that I bet the doggie Mum didn't need IVF or ICSI. You never really hear about dogs having troubles TTC. OK, I'm clearly tired. Hooroo.
PS: BG - fingers crossed for next time.
-
Hey Rols...what breed ...and how old? We're dog freaks ...we have four..but...funny story...two of your girls are first generation Australian...and the original breeder in the USA want us to do artificial insemination with our red girl (very rare) to keep the blood line going...how funny would that be...me and my pup doing IVF together!!!! Each time we have got a pup I've been pregnant withon a month or so...think it has something to do with the nuturing thing...not allowed anymore so I don't know what I'm going to do now!!!!
-
hehehe - dogs going through AI while you do IVF - very cute!!
we're also big dog fans - we have four now too (had 6 for a while, but lost 2 due to old age) - plus two cats, and a bunny rabbit that isn't technically ours - belongs to my brothers kidlets - they got him for easter two yeasrs ago, they ran out of grass for him about 8 weeks later, so he came to visit to keep the grass short at my old house, then moved out here with us - somehow i don't think he'll ever go "home"!
-
THAW SUCCESSFUL!!!! I've been hanging on that phone call all morning!
One thawed, it survived, so there's still 3 in the freezer. 10:50 tomorrow morning I go in for transfer... I feel so much more relaxed about it now that I know the caterpillar has survived. I think I'd have been ok if we lost one along the way, but this is good!
:D:D:D:D And there's some more stress which has gone away!
BW
-
Yay BW - that's great news hun!!!
-
Awesome BW. That's great news. All the best for tomorrow and the next couple of weeks.
BG, I have no idea how you managed with all of those animals. No idea at all.
Ellie, she (Bella) is a 10wk old Border Collie. We were going to buy from the RSPCA again like we did with out cat, but during my soccer match yesterday, DW saw a sign out the front of a house in a neighbouring town for the remaining pups from the litter. We were interested in Border Collies before, but weren't too fussy, but with all the circumstances seeming to tie in together we just decided to do it.
Now attempting to toilet train, and train in general. She's a little bit scatterbrain and bit edgy so slowly slowly.
-
Fantastic news BW...everything crossed for you xxx
Rols...our dogs are all trained using the "dog Whisperer" training method...works really well...we introduced two pups to two older dogs so it was important we got it right...so that they all lived ...our big boy could have chosen to eat them!!!! You can buy the 30 day training manual from ABC shop online...
-
Rols - it's easy to cope with all the animals - little dogs get fed in the morning when they first go outside - get snacks at night when DH is organising the food for the big dogs. Big dogs get fed at night just before dinner - fresh lamb most nights, table scraps, dry food (there's NEVER wasted food around here). Cats get fed at bed time. little dogs have a yard to themselves, cats inside, big dogs in two seperate "runs" out the back - it's interesting, but i wouldn't change most of it for the world (the little dogs can be yappy if too excited, so have to keep that under control - and one of the big dogs used to be a working dog with DH when he drove livestock trucks, so gets upset every morning when he doesn't get to go to work - so 6 am every morning he barks as DH leaves in the ute, then howls for 5 minutes while i yell out the window for him to be quiet...)
-
That's really funny BG, gave me a laugh!
Thanks for the tip Ellie.
-
BW - Excellent news!!!!
I know you've been awfully quiet in here - and I completely understand why!
I'm so so happy for you!!!!
Keep the positives coming!!! Best Of Luck For Your transfer tomorrow..... and take it easy xxx
Good Luck - Every Best Wishes for you & your DH tomorrow xxx
Love Holly
xxx:D

Oh wow BW, that's excellent news. That must have made you feel so good!! Now you'll get to see him tomorrow in his little petrie dish, and then you get to take him home with you!!!
Good Luck!!
Keep in touch with us all Shannon.
Holly - when do you have your Antonia visit? Excited for you!
I'm very jealous of all you with your animals. That's what i hate about renting right now - we had to leave our kitty-cat (with my parent's who treat her like a princess) and our landlord won't let us get a dog. I would love a dog right now, so we are on the look out for another place to rent.

Hi everyone
I have been off-line for a few days now - busy studying for my Uni exam that I had on Friday morning and then the usual running around like a mad thing in the afternoon doing jobs because I had the day off work.
Time for some personals - it seems I have a lot to catch up on so here goes...
BW - A Big Congrats to you on your successful thaw. Good luck and lots of :stickyvibesgirl: for you on Monday with your transfer!
BG - sorry to hear about AF. :hugs: Next time will be your time!
Ellie - glad to hear that all went well with you and hope that you are feeling better soon, and good luck with your job plan. Sometimes deciding on the plan is the hardest part!
Shannon - Congratulations on your job and pay rise! Well done! And good luck with TTC naturally. I recently heard about a lady who had tried IVF for 5 years without luck and now has fallen pg naturally at the age of 44 - so there is hope out there for all of us!
Rols - My DP has been with me for every visit to the FS. He wasn't invited into the cubicle to do my first u/s and he felt quite left out :( but the room was tiny. Hopefully he will be able to squeeze in for the next u/s in about a week. It is so nice having him there with me.
To everyone else, hi :hello: and good luck with wherever you are at!
Not much going on with me at the moment. Started the Synarel last Tuesday and am not enjoying it at all. I always want to sneeze about 2 or 3 mins after having taken it and with these cold mornings, my nose has been running so much! Yucchh! And I think it is the cause of my constant (now 2 day old) headache. I can't believe I have to keep doing this for more than 2 weeks. Now I find myself looking foward to the injections - am I crazy?
Anyway, take care all and talk soon.
Cheryl xx
-
Yes, the stress has had me a little quiet... but the relief of hearing that we had thawed well has me feeling so much better!
Jo, I hear you on the no pets thing - we also rent so we can't have pets... it does leave a hole in your life.
I'm really not sure how I feel about the transfer... being as mathematical as I am I have deliberately not asked about chances of success... I don't know if this will work, I want to believe it will, but I also feel like I need to protect myself from negative outcomes by believing it won't work... and then don't want to go into it feeling negative about things... I'm sure you all understand what I'm talking about!
BW
-
YAY for your caterpillar BW, will be thinking of you tomorrow.
Rols, a border collie sound beautiful. Friends of my parents had one when we were kids and I remember visiting them and their mischevious sp? dog..
BIg HEllo to everyone. we are having an ultra lazy day here, perfect thing to do on an overcast day! I have been trying to think of a list of question for our 1st FS visit, but cannot come up with anything other than asking about possible scarring from my c/s?
I'm at a complete blank. DH has gone out to do another weight workout, so I can't ask him his thoughts. Will endeavour to chat to him about it tonight or in the morning.
Catch up with you all later
Nic

Just wanted to give you a quick :hello: BW. Gosh it seems like forever since you had your EPU. Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight - and good luck for tomorrow!!!
-
From memory my EPU was the 2nd of April... so it really does feel like forever here too!
I'm feeling much, much calmer about things with the good thaw result today... I think I've found some confidence in the IVF process - it will give me a baby! Maybe not this cycle, but it WILL work!
Got to get work organised for my students for tomorrow (leaving everything to the last minute, what sort of example am I?!)
BW
-
2 months seems like such a long time between EPU and FET hun, but i'm sure no amount of waiting would be considered wasted if you get your BFP now.
good luck (and don't worry about being a poor example for the students - they won't know you've done it all at the last minute!)
-
Hi eveyone !
Hope everyone is well...!
Had my blood test again on friday to see if my first reading of 18 had increased... its come back at 96 in which it should be around the 900 mark..... l'm hoping that l'm a week behind my implantation and my levels are correct.... l'm scared that l might have a etopic pregnancy as the reasons why my levels are low.... Has anyone been in this situation before, and what symptoms did you experience.....l'm really hoping that its not an etopic pregnancy...... could l be infact only two weeks and not three or am l hoping something that its true ???? I've got no symptoms as yet...... l'm just waiting for the pain to start.... can any shed any light on the matter thanks babycakes "Simone"

Morning Everyone,
Firstly, thanks to everyone who gave me feedback on the career change. I will continue to look for a position in the area I am keen to move into.
If I manage to get a job, I will deal with the rest then. I may take a month or two leave without pay and see if that makes any difference on the TTC front.
BG - So sorry to hear that you received a visit from AF, I hope the next course of action is revealed ASAP.
BW - Congrats on the successful thaw and best of luck for the stickiest transfer today.
Ellie - Glad to hear that you have a plan of attack on the work front, yours sounds even worse than mine. What is it with working in schools?
Shannon - Congrats on the new job, I'm sure the time will fly by and you will be back here before you know it.
Babyface - I'm sorry I can't really help you much here, what has your FS said?
Chez - Good luck with the rest of the Synarel, hope it gets easier.
:hello: To everybody else
Not much happening here, just waiting to have the last of our preliminary tests done on the 15th of June. Had hormone monitoring done last month and had an extra short cycle (usually a 26-28 day girl), although I did Ovulate on day seven, so a 22 day cycle is acceptable.
Had some more monitoring done this month and this time I Ovulated on day 4! I am CD18 now, so I guess AF should be arriving any day now.
I have never had cycles this short, not sure if it's because of the Clomid, although this was my first month off Clomid.
Another thing the monitoring has found is that me levels of Oestrone are extremely high - has anybody heard of this before?
The one positive that has come out of the monitoring is that my temp charts have matched the hormone levels exactly to the day, so at least now I can feel confident that when I get my dip in temp I am ovulating.
Hope everybody has a lovely day.
:D
-
Wow, heaps has been happening in last few days. Sorry things didnt work out BG :(
BW- how exciting, best of luck for today but its probably already been and done!! I think the thawing is the most nerve wracking part of it. I hope you have some nice relaxing time for next couple days, is so important.
Well, DH is going into hospital for his varicocele op on Thursday, ha same day as the FS appt and i dont think i can change it :( oh well. I can remember when i went in for d & c asking FS about what happens next and he said have to wait 4-6 weeks, for another period and then can go for FET. So, thats like 2-3 weeks!! Time has definetely flown by. I dont want to be negative about anything though, but there is only one blast on ice, and im a bit nervous it wont thaw, and well, thats the end of that. Its hard trying to be really positive when there is so much to worry and think about. But if it doesnt thaw, will just wait and see for three months to check if DH sperm count/quality improves post surgery. Does anyone know what sort of % survive thaw?? Its going to be a big week!! DH is complaning already that its going to hurt. He isnt getting any sympathy from yet though! I keep telling him how men have it so much easy than girls, no pap smears, nothing!!
And to everyone else, i hope your cycles are going well, and everyone is trying to keep positive. :D
-
Yeah, but Mel I think you are forgetting that level of extreme pain that will result from having this delicate region sliced open and operated on. It would be worse than having a leg blown off for sure ;)
What a brave brave man. Respect.
-
Heeehee Rols!!! Ill tell him that and see what he says, im sure he will agree with you 100%. I have been joking with him for the past couple weeks, whether he will get the shave etc etc!! But when day comes, ill play DW and nurse (which i am!!). I hope i get to see the lovely (sarcastic) surgeon on the day, want to know how long before he will be able to exercise and ride his bike and all that sort of stuff. The only thing that was worrying DH 2 weeks ago was how long it would keep him out of the gym! Its just great though that DH is going to do this, and shows how much supports me and us and our infertility and the whole journey. I definitely respect him for this!!:D
-
I don't reckon it will keep him out of action for long, based on the little bit I know about that kind of surgery. Just a few stitches and a bit of tenderness. Give him a week and he'll be back.
-
Happymel, from what I remember it's at least a couple of weeks out of action to recover from the varicocele op... that's why we're so keen on the embolisation for us, but looks like that option may be off the table.
Transfer today went really well.
Embie had gone on to thrive after thaw - hatching blastocyst they said, and there really wasn't much of it left inside the shell at all! FS was raving about what a fantastic embie it was. So now it's sit and wait... and hopefully the feeling that my vagina has been packed with sand will pass very soon. Blasted crinone! I don't know how you girls survived with two weeks of the stuff - one day was more than enough, thank you very much!
BW
-
Hey BW...fantastic news! So glad that the transfer went well and your little embie sounds brilliant..well done!!! I'm with you on the crinone...yukky...best wishes for the TWW...sending lots of sticky vibes your way xxx
A big 'hi' to everyone else...looking forward to hearing about all your BFP soon!!!!
-
happymel, hope all goes well with DH's op on Thursday/
Nic
-
BW - I'm pleased to hear that your blasty was such a good-looker!!
Nic - have you made your list of questions yet? I went to see my 1st FS totally naive - i wish i had known a bit more and maybe i could have asked a few more things. I just wanted them to tell me what to do so that i could get pg. So naive we were then
Babyface - can't help you hun, but i hope you get some answers soon and can start to feel more relaxed. Good luck!!
ATT - your cycles must be a bit annoying - but at least you know that you can trust your charts.
Happymel - I don't know what % survive thaw - i think blasties do better than embies, but in saying that i don't trust statistics anymore - and i now I trying really really hard not to compare myself to anyone else - just because i never seem to 'fit'. Hope your DH's op goes well on thursday.
-
hi all - it's been a little busy in here today!!
BW - woo hoo on the hatching blastie hun - that's great news! hoping that little embie snuggles in good and proper - it will if it knows what's good for it!!
Babyface - hope you get to the bottom of this pretty soon - this has to be so hard on you - wish i could offer you more advice
happymel - best of luck to you and your hubby for your respective appointments on Thursday - hoping you get some good answers, and hubby has a speedy recovery
Nic - only a few more days now hun til you see the FS - how's that list of questions coming along??
ATT - hope you can get some answers about your erratic cycles and the next plan of attack very soon!
well - first day back at work wasn't too bad - had already told one friend that had known we were in the TWW, and the other was kinda easy - just told him we had to go back and se the FS in a couple of weeks - he and his wife have been through the IUI process, so he knew what i was getting at. i have held it together pretty well and the only time i came close to crying was when my friend gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek - it got to me a lot more than what words ever would have!
got my call from the clinic - have to go back and see the FS on the 21st - so only 17 days to wait! i can do that...
