Juniper76 I have no idea, I had EPU Yesterday at 3 pm (Monday) and will have transfer on Friday 4pm
As I am new to the IVF area, I dont really know what questions I should ask to the doctor... what is common, what is not...

AFM; Not impressed I went to the Dr's today and she wants me to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy before I go ahead with ivf so I have rang around like an idiot
today trying to find a Dr who can fit me in next week which I found so booked in next Friday. My AF is due on Wednesday, you don't start your meds for ivf for
3 days after af??? I'm really hoping please if someone could please let me know. Thanks

Rai, it depends on what your protocol is - best ring the clinic and check.

Down regulation cycles I start spraying 5 days after AF

antagonist cycles I start jabs on day 4 and last one they gave me clomid on day 3 as well.

You might be okay to go ahead still :) just call tomorrow and check x

Rai, for my IUI cycles I'm doing something similar to the antagonist IVF protocol and I start stims on CD2. If you're doing a long down-reg protocol you can delay starting stims. My first IVF we had to delay starting stims by a week because my FS was on holidays and my outcomes were similar to all the other cycles where there was no delay.
Best call your Dr to discuss the timing. Seems crazy that they'd bring up those requirements at this late stage. I'd be right royally peeved! Can't say I've ever heard of anyone needing those tests done before starting IVF. Is there a particular reason she wants you to do them?

My pesseries are only $210 for 100. Transfer isn't until Wednesday! The nurse I saw this morning was incorrect & then they want me to wait till Wednesday so I can have my own dr do the transfer. This cycle is going on forever! Please let this be the one as not sure how much longer I can deal with all of this.

Rai - it does depend on your clinic - I started gonal f day 3 of cycle but I know another clinic in perth that starts day 1.

CatyO - fingers crossed for you Hun. You only need 1 good embryo and for it to stick. Don't worry about the numbers we are all here for different reasons & are all different .

CatyO - hope all your eggs make it for you. Just a question, did you have any scans while taking gonal f,my FS does scans and if things are not as we would hope she increases my dose and at least then we also know how many follicles we have and we have cancelled before due to low follicle numbers and we didn't want to spend all that money for no eggs...just thought I would ask in case yours doesn't.

Rai - I would suggest waiting till you recover from surgeries to do an ivf. We were told last year, a bit to late I might add, that DH 2 huge surgeries could have affected things for us as his body would have been trying to recover and not produce best sperm. I would think it would be the same for us.
I know this must be so hard for you to have to wait. Good luck with next Friday. Oh a x in answer to your question, yes you start meds on day 3, well I did anyway xo

Beau- my transfer was 5 days after O started pessaries two nights before transfer. They will go until blood test. With DS I stopped pessaries the day of the blood test so I presume that would happen again. So I think I will use 12 or 13 each cycle.

I have just spoken to my GP and fertility centre my FS comes back from holidays next week spoke to receptionist and they all want me to
wait a month after having the colonoscopy and endoscopy i'm just so disappointed its not funny I was really so excited to be starting this month:-(
The reason I have to have the colonoscopy and endoscopy is there is a lot of bowel cancer in my family and I have had terrible diarrhoea on and off
for the past 4 months which I did not think was that big of a deal till I mentioned it to my dr yesterday so she wants me to have procedures done
before starting ivf:-((

Aw rai I'm sorry about having to wait! I know how disappointing it is to think you finally can get started to only have to wait more! Oh we'll I hope it is worth the wait :D xo

Um question girls, I've got an appt. with my fs today, and well would you tell him you double dosed on the clomid he prescribed? It is the only time I've got a Bfp since last yr!
So I want to do it again lol, but it was an old script and I did it sneaky un monitored lol.
I feel a bit naughty haha :lol:

i am PUPO!!

Stats as follows - 11 fertilized, 1 good quality 4 call transferred :) and between 4 and 8 may freeze!! Oh my freaking goodness! Whatever happens with this transfer, I really feel like ill get pregnant from this cycle! With all those good embryos - surely one will stick :)

Hope all goes well for you Rai, it's a bugger you have to have it done but so important to do it. On my OH side of the family, there is bowel cancer too, they all have to be monitored (although my OH is sooooo lazy about it). GL hun x

Sarah, you could always say 'I've taken x amount by mistake, and I got a BFP, could the increased dosage worked???' GL to you too hunni x

Spotting is finally here, I'm really crampy so I think AF will be later today or tomorrow. It's always late without fail when I'm about to do the cycle. I think it's my body protesting! lol.

I was just wondering about your fert rates myturn!! Yay!!!!!! Congrats on being PUPO :) And I hope you'll have lots of embies to freeze, it's sooooo much easier to do FETs. There is no good reason why this cycle should not work. I will be praying hard sweets, it's surely YOUR turn now gorgeous lady :pray::goodluck::crossfingers:xoxoxoxo
