Williever, I'm so sorry to hear that. Any ideas what it might be?
TT40, are you still BF? The general consensus seems to be that they won't do any treatments until 3 months after weaning. But it would be worth asking your FS about their policy on the subject. I think the theory behind it is that the elevated prolactin levels can reduce fertility.
well that bites. im not going to wean just to do ivf... one of the things I wanted to ask the fs was how does bf change/affect cycling etc..
ive made an appointment for May, just a pre plan appointment to see what we do etc...
Hello ladies,
I would just like to wish everyone the best with their cycles and I hope that you get your BFP's.
I'm deciding what Fs to go with and what clinic still so I'm hoping I can join you all soon :)
Thank you everyone for your comforting words. I hope your all doing well & feeling good.
CD1 tomorrow for the list !
It's go time !!
Willi, is it your uterus bulging?? Or is it a mass type thing??
The word used was bulge. Around the c-section scar.
?
Dr will call me tomorrow morning.
Williever I am so sorry you are in such an awful place to be, I hope that they can figure it out and you get to have another chance at this.
Mrsbwantingabub welcome :-)
Hi to everyone else I hope you are doing ok, as always I have been stalking but i haven't had much to write.
Well I am cd28 I am normally a 28 day cycle, I got my hopes up and did a poas and it was negative but I just don't feel like af is on its way which is weird but I have no doubt she rear her ugly unwanted head soon enough. Just catching up on some reading.... Sounds like some of us have had pretty crappy cycles this month :(
AFM I phoned my nurse on Friday to let her know the test they gave me was negative, she told me to stop taking all the drugs so AF could start and to call her on CD1. I'm a bit gutted but I'm also used to negatives by now, I think the nurse was more upset for me then I was to be honest.
She told me I had 3 freezer babies and that the FS wants me to do a hormone replacement therapy FET cycle (does that sound right????) I told her I have to go to Sydney mid April for a sporting event so will be waiting until the cycle after that to do the FET.
Poor hubby opened the quote from the clinic last night and thought they were looking for another $3000 for the IVF cycle and was goin off his nut!!! Had to explain to him it was the cost to thaw and transfer next cycle.
All in all I think we did pretty well to survive our first cycle, havt wanted to kill each other and he only made me cry a couple of times :) I'm just finding now that the selective few people we chose to tell about the cycle have gone from saing "oh wow you will so get pregnant first go" to saying "oh well, no one gets
Pregnant on the first try anyway" I know they mean well but I just wish yet would SHUT UP!!!
Lots happening in here!
Congrats to everyone who has lost so much weight, so inspirational with everything else going on :)
I find that no one knows what to say but they all mean well I've been told I don't need ivf I just need to 'relax', i was 'relaxed' for the first year but after nearly two years I think it's a bit beyond that.... my brother and sister separately giggled at me when I told them I was doing iui So decided only to tell the essential people we're doing ivf, my family doesn't know, only a few friends and someone at work who's done ivf, easier and you don't have to be hassled about each test.
I had a heap of blood taken today (12 vials!!!) for NK cells, chromosome check and blood thickness, the nurse said 'I am sure and hope it will all come back clear' and I was like 'noooo!!! I want an answer!! A reason and something to treat!'
xxx
Ceejelz it is so hard when people change their opinion and think they are supporting you when in fact it doesn't feel that way, you would rather them say they were so hoping it would happen for you first go and they are sorry. Hug, it is a hard road and I am glad you and your partner made it through the first one ok, it is important to have each other. One good thing is you have some frozen ones. Good luck with your next transfer xo
Hummingbird I hope you get some answers but hope noting major shows up in your blood tests. After 12 vials I am surprised you didn't feel faint!!!
Well me thinking af was not on it's way was so far from the truth, woke up to the baby dream over for this month and had a day of massive pain but I have noticed that seems standard now, I think all the ivf meds last yr have affected my insides forever and I suffer extreme pain on my first day that I never used to have.
Welcome MrsBwanting.. Nice to know you (((:
I agree Ceejelz... Just shut up everyone!
Kerbear... Camping with AF = not fun
Hummingbird... 12 vials not fun at all.. I feel so drained after those big ones. Hope all goes well with results (:
AFM beginning of cycle 3 tomorrow. I'm excited, AF showed herself yesterday arvo but has faded away somewhat now... Is tomorrow still CD2 even if my period has disappeared ? It's definately AF coz I have the cramps and crankiness to go with it...
Hi everyone,
It looks like I might be staying around for now. FS doesn't want to jump off the deep end based on one ultrasound when a previous ultrasound showed nothing wrong. My issue will only show up at O time onwards. So as she will need to do another ultrasound next O anyway she thinks we should go ahead with another FET cycle in April. If the problem shows up we will cancel the round and have a better idea of what to operate on. if the problem does not show we will transfer an embie.
My problem looks to be an opening at the c-section site that is allowing fluid into the uterus so I will need that repaired. That looks to be the most likely outcome.
My FS has shared my case with her dr husband who is a specialist in uterus repair after c-section and he agrees with the plan. And it looks like I've managed to get the advice and possibly operational skills of a specialist through marriage. That can't be bad! fS herself is a specialist in laparoscopic surgery which is why I went to her years ago.
Having been through a laparoscopy/ hysteroscopy before I am not feeling great, but I trust FS completely.
We will consider our options after we know for sure what's happening and know the costs. I think it's very possible we will need to take out a loan for all this.
One step at a time is the motto I had before DS. I think I shall bring it back!
Thanks ladies and good luck to you all x
Williever, sounds like a good plan. And how awesome that her husband can help out! The money aspect is always worrying, but this is your health and safety you're talking about, so better to keep you safe and healthy rather than save money.
Ceejelz, the HRT FET protocol seems be as common as the "natural" protocol.
Hummingbird, GL with the testing.
Curtysgirl, if you're worried about AF being different, have a chat with your FS about it. Is there any chance it could be an implant bleed rather than AF? I don't want to get your hopes up for no reason, but that's always my first suspicion when AF is shorter and/or lighter than usual. I even did a HPT myself (BFN) around CD7 this cycle because my AF was weird.
