Welcome on board Juniper!!
Mel & Misty- Thanks girls. That makes me feel better. I've had a constant mild headache today as well. I guess the stuff in really kicking in.
Baby2bell (welcome back) & juniper (welcome)- I set the alarms too. I might have to add multiples because last night it went off. DH checked it, turned it off but forgot to tell me. Luckily I realised at the right time. He was very apologetic.
mitf- I went to the FS four weeks after my Lap to get the IVF ball rolling. I organised it so IVF started the next cycle after AF. So basically I wait for one cycle before jumping into IVF. I booked my first app. earlier because I knew there would be waiting time. To answer second question, recovery from lap (for me anyway. I've had 4) can be from 1-2 weeks. Depending on what you've had done. If it is just exploratory, less, 4-5 days will be o.k. HTH. GL
double post
Hi Mitf,
I had a lap last December and mine was to remove an endometrioma, it was a long surgery and it was very painfull afterwards... It was close to 4 weeks to fully recover and on second AF I could have started an IVF cycle (which I didn't but because of other reasons...)
Girls, so relieved to hear that synarel leaves a bad taste sometimes...I thought I was doing something wrong as it doesn't happen everytime...
Well FSH is going well, today was incredible: Didn't hurt a thing! I was so happy and proud of myself!! Sometimes just feels that the needle is stuck... and you have to force it in... or you don't feel the needle but the stinging of the drug...
Juniper I will be doing EPU next week as well... anyone else scheduled for an EPU soon?
Hi again everyone,
Welcome Baby2be and Juniper! :welcome:
Esperen I have EPU tomorrow :( Can't wait for it to be over - but not as nervous as last time.
Mitf- hang in there :)
VENT ALERT!!!
I hate my laptop! It has two buttons to the left and right of the arrow keys. One key takes you back one page of your website and the other takes you back to where you were. At first I thought they were cool, but now I HATE them! I just finished my thread to you all, which was probably too long, let's face it, BUT the whole page got deleted because I hit the BACK key instead of one of the arrow keys :wall:
Sorry guys but it's too late to write another with personal posts. I will definitely catch with personals tomorrow night.
Before I go, I need some advise. Is having itching and aching (similar to what you feel after lots of BD'ing ) natural while taking progesterone pessaries? Sorry if I embarrassed anyone! It's just that I didn't feel it last time & I definately have not been doing any BD'ing while taking pessaries, so I'm a bit.... mystified. I hope it is a normal reaction.
9 more days to BT day!!!
Sorry about my rant earlier girls. I'm over it now. However, my problem 'down stairs' is getting increasingly worse. I'll definitely call FS in the morning. I looked up the side affects on the products leaflet that I found online and although itching is a side affect, the pain is not. Hmmm...
Sandygirl, the time I took mine 3 hours late I just didn't hear the alarm. I have a new phone now and have picked the loudest most intrusive alarm to try and make sure I hear it! I've only been caught out once this time - decided to eat out for my birthday and just after ordering realised I was meant to take my synarel in half an hour. But, of course, it was at home...
Misty, I hope you EPU goes smoothly today! :goodluck:
Spring, are you using crinone or the other type of progesterone suppositories. I get confused because the same terms seem to get used for both types? I remember my first time with the suppositories I felt like I was getting a UTI. Was awful! I hadn't been given any instructions when they gave me the supps so called the day theatres to find out if I was doing them wrong. That was a very interesting conversation. Turns out I was doing them wrong. TMI warning: I was allowing them to come into contact with the urethra opening on their way to where they were meant to go. Once I made sure to avoid that I had no problems... Don't know if that helps?
Spring I had the same issue with the pessaries. I rang my FS and they told me to use nappy rash cream. It seemed to work.
AFM I've just been for my day 2 scan (gross!) and I have 10 - 15 follicles in each ovary. The nurses seemed really happy with that! Hopefully the Puregon (200iui) starts tomorrow morning!
Hi loverlies, great to see such great support and understanding of each other in this thread.
Just wanted to let you know that we encourage you to specify your body parts in your posts if it is relevant. It is OK to say vagina, vulva, labia, clitorous, orgasm etc on BellyBelly. After all we are sharing our path to conception in great details and we women all have a vagina :D
Wishing you all a short journey to the pregnancy threads!
xx
Hi all - we're a busy little bunch in here - took me a while to find all of you lovelies but I'm here!!!
I'm sick today  . . we can blame my 9 day saturating period for that (sorry for TMI) - am off to Dr's this arvo for that and something else . . .
We're due to start our IVF journey in June - don't even ask me how I'm feeling about that = all kinds of happy, scared & stressed blended together!!! I'm not sleeping at night & I can't function during the day so I'm asking the GP's thoughts on medication to handle this better as I'm a walking Zombie!
Here's hoping our journeys takes everyone to where they want to be. Looking forward to following the path of others in this adventure.
:goodluck:
sooooo true dusty! We had our day 21 appt the other night and they used the word vagina a lot! I couldn't help but get the giggle as in our group of approx 10 couples, every male in the room flinched everytime it was mentioned!! hilarious!!!!
Misty77 how did you go with EPU today? Plenty of rest and lots to drink!
Spring Just 9 days to go!!! exciting!! My last cycle I used the crinone but just for 2 days (ET was cancelled) but I didn't have any alergy to it. Hope it's better after talking with your FS
Juniper I don't think Synarel within few hours difference would really make big difference... The instructions I had from FS, was to take in the morning and at night... no timing specified. Thanks for the tips on Crinone.
Baby 2bee, Great news about the follies! Good luck with your puregon tomo!
Hope everyone is doing fine!
I'm very excitied for my scan tomorrow...
junipa76, baby2bee - Thanks for the tips. It seemed to clear up today. The directions are very brief so I'll remember for tonight.
Dusty - I know what you are saying, we are all adults here. I'll have to try and get used to it. VAGINA! There, that wan't so bad, he, he he.
I have to tell you, DH has been so cute. Most mornings and nights DH rolls over and kisses my tummy and gives it a rub :bellyrubs: and talks to my belly in hope that it will help my to embies stick. I love it, it brings a tear to my eye every time. I hope it works girls. If not, I fear we will both be absolutely guttered.
...8 more sleeps.
Sandygirl I am really well thankyou :) I have not been charting for O this time round I am just going to DTD every 2nd night hehe ..
baby2bee Welcome back I hope everything goes well with the first cycle *crossing fingers for you* Hope the BT and Scan went well :) I would giggle if I was in a room and seeing the men flinch trying not to laugh at the work Vagina! I think its the whole kindergarden cop thing boys have a penis girls have a vagina still to this day that cracks me up cause I can just see the lil kid saying it hehe!!!
Juniper Welcome to the thread all us girls are here for support! And ask as many questions as you need!!!
mitf Welcome and as I said to Juniper we are here to support you and to ask away :)

Spring Hunny don't get me started on my laptop it does the same thing and my power cord is loose and not charging the battery so the minute the laptop moves it switches off and I loose everything I type I keep saying to DF that I am going to throw it out the window soon! Hope your days getting better ♥ And as for your DH thats just gorgeous hehe makes you feel good having their support and knowing he wants to do more and figures talking to the belly it might help!
mrs_zeg Welcome and I hope you get everything sorted!! IVF is something very scary and emotional and you soon adjust to it I think the worst is the waiting game leading up to doing it! We are all here for support xo
As for me still holding on waiting and waiting seems like its been forever since I had the op! Don't have my FS appointment till 4/6 now so its dragging and I am anxious to find out if some follicles are forming on their own and if that all worked out... I am trying to keep myself busy though so thats a good thing!!!
Hi all
Im back in here after a bit of a break from BB whilst moving house etc and just so I would stop thinking about it all for a while and just have some fun.
I have just received all the paperwork for our first IVF cycle and the counselling session and initial consultation to discuss meds etc are booked in for June/July in Sale.
It is unbeliveable how much paperwork there is to fill out - it is really bugging me especially since ive just filled out heaps of paperwork to buy a house. And now we have to get a police check done as well. Bloody Govt. policy etc.
How is everyone going?
Its been good to read your posts so that I know what to expect from the Syranel and IVF procedures etc.
I tell you I am a bit scared about it all.
Goodluck to everyone!
Welcome back Loops! We wrote the cheque out last night and filled out all the paperwork for FS and then the paperwork for the EPU etc etc etc etc etc!!!! It's a nightmare but worth it in the end! I started my cycle a couple of days ago with Puregon injections starting this morning!! Just yell when you need to chat! When's your cycle due to start?
I'm feeling really positive today!!! until the puregon kicks in anyway!!
Thanks for the welcome ladies - it's nice to have people on similar journey's to 'type' to!
Spring: oooohhhhh - your DH sounds lovely - that brought a tear to my eye! Hoping your 7 sleeps pass quickly!!
Loops12: Hi! Paperwork sucks right! I didn't get too much to do for my clinic but they have asked for me to bring in my scan images for PCOS (after a bit of digging & hunting I found them!) June 1st for me - not long now!
AFM: Doc gave me drugs to stop my bleeding: boy did they work quickly - I feel like a new woman!!! I was kind of disappointed in her reaction to the way Im feeling ATM - stressed out & not sleeping: all she said was that I should do more exercise (I already park my car 1km from work & walk - gotta squeeze it in where I can!) & relaxation techniques to help the sleep. I have to say I'm a bit disappoionted - I've been going to her for the last 2 years & she's usually been pretty helpful. Maybe it was her time of the month?? LOL
Anywho - hope alls well with everyone!
