Afm, saw my GP this evening and my u/s on Friday indicated I have ruptured a ligament (not a tendon as I thought the sonographer had said). I've been referred to a surgeon, but been told it is most likely the surgeon will decide not to operate.

afm..... Still excited for my second OI cycle. Feeling positive coz i know it worked last time. The timing, the dosages of the triggers & the clomid were spot on and my body did the right thing !!! Such a good feeling. Now to get DF in the sack at the perfect time to CATCH THAT EGGY !!!

Never thought I would be sitting here wanting to start injections but I am, I am over this long cycle 3wks down and another 3 to go before EPU :-( injections start sat unless I get an early bleed from stopping pregnova and estrogen tablets.
I hope all of this torture on my body is worth it this time!!!!
Yeah long cycle is a pain! Feels like you are waiting forever. When FS gave me the choice last time, I was definitely keen to do antagonist... Seems like you get to the point before you know it! Even this morning when the nusmrse was saying okay start meds on Thursday and 2nd one in Friday - then scan next week - I was surprised but glad.
When it starts it will all happen and before you know it you'll be back in another TWW...

AFM- Day 8 US today.
10 decent size follies.
EPU could be Saturday, Sunday or Monday- US this Thursday to confirm.
My FS has gone and torn ligaments in her foot, so EPU will be done by a different MIVF Dr.... Makes me nervous, I like my FS!
Me4ever, I'm sorry hun :hug: It's good that you can still turn the negative into some sort of a positive about being able to have a good drink for your wedding and xmas. Hopefully we can be cycling buddies in 2013 :crossfingers: Very excited about your wedding!

Just thought I'd poke my head in and come clean about stalking you all...
I ended up with septicaemia and a hospital stay due to retained products after my 12 week miscarriage, so I've been told that I can't do anything until the new year :( Starting to get impatient now, although I know it's good to let my body recover becasue the infection was so bad and also still griveing obviously... but keen to get back on the horse at the same time). We'll probably do 1-3 OI cycles and then if no BFP go to IVF. I know I don't have the strength to do another 8! (although maybe not the bank balance to do the ivf!)
So anyway, will be stalking you and wishing the best until January but then will be joining some of you. Good luck!!

Question... To those of you who do share the ivf with a few friends or family, do you hit a point where you just don't talk about how you are feeling anymore cause you feel like you sound like a broken record?
I feel like that at the moment and I think that is why I have been feeling so down, my sisters are never sick of my whinges or whines so they say but how do I know they aren't just saying that cause they have to. We are a very close family and I don't feel I can talk to them about it at the moment cause of everything going on with the new baby in our family. I don't want them to think I want it to about me cause I don't but I can't help what I am going through atm and that it is the same time she had her baby early.
Why do you always feel guilty about talking about this when there is new babies???? I think it is my fear of being judged as not caring about them, which I do very much.
I am so sorry for that blurt out of feelings but I can't talk to anyone else and say all of that except with you lovely supporting ladies xo
kerbear, I stopped talking about it more because I got sick of saying "no, it was another BFN" and feeling like I was letting them down by giving them more bad news. I also got sick of hearing all the well-meaning but completely mis-guided advice (eg "why don't you just adopt"). I found the only place I could really talk through everything was on the forums. I'd have had a nervous breakdown if I hadn't had that support available to me. I find no-one really understands unless they've been there. We do have one friend IRL who did IVF, but she doesn't like to talk about it, so she wasn't someone I could turn to for support. Blurt away; that's what we're here for. And if there's ever anything you don't want to post publicly, you're more than welcome to send me a PM (and there's always the private vent forum, if you have access).
yes! Kerbear.. broken record.. my replies usually start with tired, exhausted.. drained.. can't wait for a break. Even the clinic nurse asked me if I was "over it" yet.. well no s*it sherlock... The only people that get it are my best friend who did IVF and my hubby as he sees me daily and can tell when I am just done. He gets it when I whinge to him and well use him as my punching bag. I have offered numerous times to inject him daily with saline so he can feel the pain I go through! hehehehe...
Ironically, this time around I don't feel so bad. Not drained or tired - quite normal and able to function and keep the house clean.. even make the bed *shock horror*
Transfer was Sat, 2 x fresh 8 cell scoring 3/4 - and the first time EVER not under anesthetic, which was traumatic to say the least. Given I had just had a modified fentons done too. Three Valium and 2 locals later.. I at least got to see them being put back.
I also found out today that one of my little 3 days made it to day 5 and is a blasty. This has NEVER happened before. I am amazed... DHEA and HGH made such a difference this time.
Kerbear - we didnt tell when doing a cycle. It got too hard constantly feeling like a failure, with ever bfn. It doesnt get easier when the bfp comes as we are not telling anyone. Even today my auntie cornered me and pushed the ivf, adoption, fostering thing. This whole journey is so draining, both in our own homes and with other relationships.
At the end of the day no one obssesses like we do in here :) I found it so helpfull, almost like having on tap councelling.
