Hi again and it is great to here others have felt as I am right now! I feel if you put a pin in me I would pop.
Boo - I don't beleive in any silly questions, and I had no idea what OHSS was before all this :) OHSS is Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) they say it is because one develops many eggs and/or blood test before the EPU measures your hormones as high one may develop OHSS.
The clinic called this moring to let me know that we have 10 fertilised eggs. 4 didn't fertilise and 3 not muture enough. Now waiting to see how many make it to day 5, as the clinic has said that we will still loose a few in the next few days , but at the moment numbers are on our side, whcih we are really happy about.
Thanks again and I must admit that my DH is waiting on me hand and foot, which I am enjoying. The next 5 days will be trying and it is harder when all you are doing is laying on the couch and resting, my mind just never turns off. Thanks again
-
DJTTC - I am off to Robbie Wiliams on the 13th & cant wait - somthing (Someone :) to take my mind of TTC. HOpe you had a great night. Also I did IUI for a year with no luck and was so keen to start IVF it wasnt funny. If you can afford the IVF treatment I would go for it, as it seems like fasttracking - but thats just me! Reserach weel and do what makes you most happy.:P
Loula - Hopefully you are experiencing good signs. Fingers crossed for you. Dont test b4 day 10 as my doc informs me any sooner would be too soon and may show a false negative.
Macca -good luck with fertilisation and ur TF next week. I love blasties! Hoping you get some healthy ones. rest up and relax. Water, water water!
Boo - Love to hear a progress report on the benefits of your accupuncture and herbal remedies......
Have a good weekend girls.

Sorry ladies i have to confess - i tested with an OKP today (has anyone read the thread okp as hpt?) well i got two lines straight away. showed a lady at work (yuck i know!!)just to confirm and then we both started crying (me first. lol)
But i know this is very early to test (about 7dpo) and i mc about the same time with the last two tf, also does anyone know if the drugs im taking can effect the result on the stick? im taking pessaries and HRT
OMG stick, stick, stick
Forgot to add i did a HPT and BFN
-
Dis another three okp and they are getting lighter eack time the last only had one line
guess we'll have to wait for blood test but am preety convinced its over as if i thought my bb's were saggy they are now !
-
Hi all,
Macca - Enjoy dh looking after you & well done on the 10 fertilised eggs!
Loula - I have my fingers crossed for you.
Dream bub - thanks for the advice on IVF & IUI, I think dr will probably say IUI as it's less invasive.
OH MY GOD Robbie Williams was unbelievable!!!!!!!!
It was one of the best nights of my life, he is just awesome.
I honestly wish I could go again, we had standing so we were only a couple of metres from him, just thinking about it again gives me goosebumps.
I am not normally a starstruck kind of person who screams but when he came out it was unreal & yes I think I did scream.
You will have an absolute ball.
Jo :)
-
very quiet in here today !!
Hoping everyone is ok?
Getting some AF pains but still testing like mad and always BFN!! stoped doing okp though.lol is anyone else as nuts as me with the wait? one more week to go dont know if i will last!!

Hello Everyone
Well it has been a while since I have been in and checked on everyones progress, needed to rest my very poor attitude and get my headspace right !
What a lot of changes since September and so many BFP's, really has cleared this out alot, in a very good way.
Welcome to all the new people, and good luck with your journies.
Loula - I can so relate with you at the moment, I dont think the TWW every gets any easier.
I hope everyone is doing well and gets some nice presents from Santa !!!!
What a coincidence, I logged on today to see if I can find out some info on crinone and Megans first post had this in it.... how lucky.
I have just undergone my second round of IVF, a flare cycle with the hope of getting better eggs, We got 17 eggs with 12 fertilising, which I thought was wondrful but unfortunately we only had three to freeze, I know I should be happy with this but I was just disappointed with the outcome. Especially considering that we dont appear to have a very good success rate when they thaw out.
I am currently in the TWW with having a transfer Thursday week ago. Just a question though, Af was due last Saturday and I had some bleeding on Sat and sunday but it appears to have stopped would this be because of the crinone ? Normally when AF is due she turns up with a vengenance, irrelevant of crinone or not.
I am due to have my BT on Thursday and am too scared to do a HPT or get my hopes up. But not sure what to think.
Thanks for your help and it is good to be back and share this ride
Take care and best wishes to everyone.
-
Hi All,
Hope everyone is well and that those of you in the 2ww are staying as sane as possible.
Loula - Hope you are coping, hang in there. I know how it feels  & I am sending you many positive thoughts.
DJTTC - Cant wait for Robbie Williams, something to think about other than TTC for a week anyway. Helps the wait till January pass more quickly.
Sari - A little beleding just after your TF could be the implantation - I am not an expert but have read that implantation can cause slight bleed & the timing is spot on. So it may be a good sign.:)
-
Just a quick hi from me.
Sari - Goodluck with your BT on Thursday. Will you get results the same day?
Loula - Fingers crossed for a BFP!
Boo - YAY for the cancellation! Less than a week to go, hope all goes well.
BIG Hello to everyone else, sorry for my lack of personals.
My temp is still high, hoping that it doesn't drop. Shopping day tomorrow and am thinking if I should buy a HPT or not? I want too, but I don't want to buy one, get all excited and then have AF show. Suppose I will just see if one ends up in the trolley tomorrow or not LOL.
Nic

Hi all hope you are well. Baby dust and sticky vibes to you all :)
Thank you for you kind words and support after my EPU, doing much better now and I am off the couch. A little cramping at times but I guess that can be expected.
Well finally in the 2ww as of today. Had my ET this morning and seems a lot of ladies are trying to get in for christmas as well so the clinic is very busy. We only put 1 embrio back, I asked for two but was told due to some law and my age they are not allowed to transfer two, so one went back in this morning and we got our first pic, so cute. We got 17 eggs from EPU and 10 of those made it to stage 1, then on day 3, 6 made it to stage 2 with the other 4 a day or two behind. Today we are not sure how many made it through but it looks like the best of the bunch was returned and maybe we might have 3 to freeze, but they are giving them an extra day for further growth,so they will confirmed on on there staus on Thursday. I hope they can freeze some as I am not in a hurry to go through another EPU but I guess if I had to I would just do it. Now I ma in the scared mode, the Dr told me if all goes well we are 2 weeks, 5 days PG today and PG test will be on the 16th, maybe santa will bring an early christmas gift? I am taking it easy and trying not to lift a finger, need to occupy my mind with something else otherwise I will be counting each day. I am happy to say to my family and friends that I really do have my babies first pic
-
Macca - Hope the 16th brings you a BFP!!
Nic
-
Macca - how are you going? Ever since i asked about the OHSS i've been seeing the term pop up every where! (i've been doing a bit of research into what exactly is involved with the IVF process).
Nic - hi again! You know how much i'm hoping for a BFP for you :)
Loula & Sari - hope the TWW is treating you nicely
Dream bub - I've noticed a lot of little changes since starting acupuncture. I'm supposed to take my herbs 1 hr before or after a meal twice a day, during the week i'm ok beacuse i leave them on top of my computer at work to remind me but i tend to forget all about them on the weekend!
Jo - how are you going? Glad to hear you enjoyed Robbie :)
-
boo - it is strange the things you hear or read when you are TTC. It really surprises me how much a really do know about TTC and the female body, but more how much my DH knows. No OHSS for me, well it looked like I was getting some symptoms but feeling 100% after my EPU and glad no OHSS as I have heard it is not fun :)
nic - thank you for your well wishes and I guess one nevers knows :)
-
Hi macca
Thats great that you had at least one to transfer and maybe a couple of spare. For me knowing there was a couple spare made me feel a little better if it all didn't work.
The 2ww is long but you will get there :)
I got a BFP on Friday. I have everything crossed that you will get the same on the 16th!!
-
Fig - a huge congratulations to you. gosh your stay wasnt very long at all- please sprinkle some of your babydust on your way to pg thread.lol Huge Congrats again.
Macca - i have everything crossed for you on the 16th and hoping this is the cycle for you honey.do you mind me asking how old you are as i had my first cycle at 23, and have always had two put back in.
Boo - lol im the same with all my herbs and meds - i can be great taking my herbs at work as im in the routine but it all goes to pot when im at home so i can totally relate to you.lol good to hear that your feeling the effects though.
Nic - you look like the same dpo as me, have you tested?
Sari - how are things with you ? so many of us in the TWW !!
Well me as usual im testing every day and i have gone from having 2 lines on OPK and i very faint line on HPT to having nothing at all and as i mentioned in another post my bb are saggy, saggy saggy. pimple also seem to be easing up, i really want this time to work dont know how many more i can keep doing ( but i will of course!) will test again in the morning i think i will be 10 or 11 dpo tomorrow. this wait is killing me and i keep forgetting to take my meds as i mentioned b4
Sending you all my sticky thoughts and prayer
-
Fig - CONGRATS on your BFP!! How exciting!
Lou - No, I haven't tested yet. Was thinking of getting a BPT today when I went shopping, but I have my DD home, sick, so won't be able to get to the shops. Not sure if I want to test or not? Temp rose a little bit this morning, but I have a few little cramps. My face broke out a couple of days ago, but now it seems to be clearing up.
I also usually have really tender BB's after ovulation, but not his month for some reason.
Will see what tomorrow brings I suppose. Goodluck if you decide to test tomorrow Lou.
Nic
-
wow nic that all sounds like a promised BFP good luck to you honey
-
Thanks nic and loula - was a bit of a shock and still to scared to actually believe its going to result in a baby!
I hope everyone gets their BFP's soon.
-
Well I caved in this arvo and tested...BFN! I know! Should have tested with FMU tomorrow morning. feel so silly for testing this arvo and not waiting. still hoping that it was too early to test (or too late in the day LOL)
Suppose I will wait and see what my temp is tomorrow.
Nic
-
Good evening all, hope we are all well.
Fig - Congratuations on your BFP. What a result, what was your secret (hee hee)
loula - I don't mind you asking my age at all, I am 30. I am through Sydney IVF in Canberra and they say that they have this law for under 35's only returning 1 embrio, they said if they would found out they where returning 2 they could be closed, who knows. But they keep saying all you need is one good one.
nic - it is hard not to cave. I have heard of people doing a HPT and receiving a BFN and then later had a blood test and advised that I had a BFP. You can never be to sure with those, how do you know if you are too early or what is true. I know I will be caving closer to the date as well
Sticky vibes and baby dust to you all and I wish Santa will bring a early christmas presant for all otherwise 2007 will having a big baby boom (hee hee)
-
Nic - i conpletly understand your hopes and fears ( if they are the right words?) I have been testing every day since 7dpo!!!or 5 dp implant .lol and the sad thing is that i did get one very very faint BFP about day 8/9 and now nothing!!! oh well wasnt holding out much hope this cycle anyway. was ment to be having bt on Monday but due to the shift im working wont be able to get there so im going to go Saturday morning. but i'll wait and see how i feel saturday and see if someone can swap shift with me for the Monday. when is your bt due? (also r u doing IVF?) wishing you more luck with FMU
Macca - im so amazed that they only put one in like i said ive had two ever since my first cycle when i was 23!!but your very very right you only need one goodie!!i hope you have that 'one' on board!!
ok ladies that doesnt leave me with much more to say other than come on BFP's
-
Hi all,
Hope you are all doing ok.
Fig - a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you on your bfp, all the best. :confetti:
Nic - I have my fingers crossed sooooooooo tightly for you when you test tomorrow!
Loula - I am hoping that you will still surprise us all with you bt & have a bfp, don't give up yet.
Boo - how's the research going for your appointment?
Well I'm still on a high from the robbie william's concert, it's a nice distraction.
Figure I will O some time over the weekend so trying to conserve a little energy, lol.
Jo :)
-
Lou - No we aren't doing IVF - or anything at all at the moment. Have been
ttc #2 for approx 56 months. We had a referral about 2 years ago for the FS. But DH wasn't ready to go through with it. I think he thought it would happen if we just waited a bit longer. He now wants to see the FS, so will work on getting a new referral sometime soon...hopefully.
Jo - When was the concert?
Nic
-
Macca - I am 30 and went through Sydney IVF in Canberra as well!!! what a conincedance :)
-
Fig - that is a great conincedance, hopefully your luck will rub off to me (hee hee)
So to turn things negative and I hope you don't mind, I would like to have a little vent, so I apologise now, but really need to get it off my chest. I am only day 2 in my 2ww and I am already feeling negative about the whole cycle. This morning the clinic called to let me know that not one of my embryos made it to freezing. What is hard about this phone call was we were told that we had 27 folicles, then at EPU we go 17 eggs and of those 10 fertilised on day 1, on day 3 after EPU we had 6 at stage 2 and 4 dragging there heels by a day or two then at ET (day 5), 1 embryo (which was a grade 1) which was transferred and maybe 2 could be frozen. We are happy and greatful to know that we got these numbers, as the situation could of been very different, we know of others (friends) that have had less but we are finding it hard to be told today we have none left . The remaining embroys where given an extra day after ET for further growth so they can be in the best condition to freeze as this can be a very stressful time for the embryo. I understand that day 4 & 5 after EPU are the vital days and they see alot fall away as this is where the do the most growing, but how can that be, how can 1 only be the only 1 or if the 1 that was transferred was left for another day with the others would it be of the same quality, was it doomed before it even went back in??? The clinic said that the transferred one was the best of the bunch and none of the others where in the same condition and that is great to know and I understand that not all concieve on there first cycle and sometimes it may take a few goes but I was hoping the few goes we may have to do could of been a frozen go, a little easier on the body. My DH is frustrated that if it is required I have to go through the whole ICSI process again to maybe come out with same outcome. He is saying the things I was saying back in the early days like "could this be it" or will we be a family of mum and dad and the two dogs" I know you need to think positive cause this cycle may be our positive but I don't know what to think or feel. If anyone has been in the same situation your advise/stories would be greatly appreciated for both me and my DH.
Anyway I will get off my soap box! Thanks for the vent

Hi Macca,
Just wanted to let you know you're not alone!
We have done 4 fresh cycles - the first 2 were a disaster, but our last 2 (both this year) have been almost identical to yours.
In April, we had 18 eggs at EPU, 10 fertilised, and then numbers slowly dropped off until by day 5 we had 2 blasts, 2 morulas, and 2 8 cells.
We had the 2 blasts put back, and they said to forget the 2 8 cells, but wanted to grow the 2 morulas for another 24hrs before deciding on putting them back.
By the next day they hadn't progressed, and so they didn't bother.
We had a BFN that cycle.
Cycle no 2 for this year we've only just finished - my BFN came about a week and a half ago... after again having 18 eggs, and the same thing almost identical to last cycle.
By the day of transfer, we had the 2 blasts put back, and 1 blast and 1 morula kept for another 24hrs before deciding not to freeze.
I know how frustrated you are feeling - and both DH and myself have asked the exact same questions to ourselves, all I can offer you is to hang in there!!!
You just never know, there are ladies out there who get a BFN on a fresh cycle, and then get a pregnancy out of the FET from the same cycle...????!!!! This seems crazy to me, as you would think the best embryos would have gone back in first, but its the frozen ones that end up turning into babies!!!
We have just been at the stage where we have thought - is this it? We just keep getting the same results, is that all we'll ever get to, but I am just too damn stubborn to stop, and I just know that if I fight for something long enough, it just HAS to eventually come to me!!!
The power of positive thinking is amazing sometimes... especially at times when you think thats all you've got!
We have been doing IVF for 4 yrs now, and although we're yet to get the end result, its been amazing how things have changed and improved with the treatment, so I just keep thinking how far ahead they must get with the technology year after year.
Things can only get better for us - just stay positive, and when its our time - no matter how long it may take and how frustrated we might be - I believe that when we are holding the baby in our arms, we will straight away forget about all of the heartache that got us there!!!!
Sending much love and positive thoughts to you:hug:

Hi Ladies
Well i caved in and tested on 9/10dpo and its a negative...I had the first IUI done on monday so if i O'd on monday, today would make it 10dpo...I had the second IUI on tuesday so if i O'd on tuesday it would make it 9dpo...still negative eitherway...
My doc said that if i didnt get my periods after two weeks and two days (wed next week) to do a test then..but i couldn't wait and heaps of other ladies get BFP on day 9 or 10 dpo...why not me? So why wait until until day 14 or 15???
Is it possible to get a BFN right up until you have missed your period???
-
Hi Ladies
I know I haven't been around much lately. I think I just needed to lay low for a little while and stop focusing so much on TTC for a minute. On top of that, I have been flat out at work with christmas coming up that I am just exhausted at the end of the day. I can manage to read the thread but can't muster up the energy to post! :(
So, I am starting fresh. I have read all the posts but wont do personals at the moment because I'll be here all night!! lol There's a few ladies in the TWW at the moment that I wish all the luck and baby dust in the world! ;)
As for me, I am all booked in and paid up for a FET next cycle. That's if my AF ever arrives. I was expecting her by Sunday which would have been ok to get a cycle in before christmas, but it's 4 days later and she's a no show. So, looks like I have missed out and it will have to wait for january now. :( I haven't been charting this month so I don't know when I would have O'd or anything, so I'm just playing the waiting game. My cycles have consistently been 26-27 days the last 6 months or so and now I'm sitting here on Day 31. Did anyone else notice their first natural cycle after IVF was not quite right??
-
Hollybolly - Thank you for the positive kick, just what I needed. I had this cycle written off and was ready for the next even thou this one could be the one. Strange but thank you and you are so right. You are so strong and positive and I pray you have your little surprise soon, baby dust and sticky vibes for you. Thank you
TwoMums - I wouldn't trust that BFN until AF arrives, depending on you levels you may not get a BFP until you are a week late, so yes it is possible to get a BFN right up to your missed period, so it is not over yet. Fingers Crossed
Megan - The body can be frustrating, it is very common to have a longer cycle after an IVF cycle. It gets a little confused and knocks itself out of rythem at times. I know what you mean but spending all your time focusing on TTC and a break is sometimes what is exactly needed. All the best for your next cycle, baby dust and sticky vibes for you, I think 2007 will be baby boom year.
-
Hi Guys
I had my BT today and would you beleive it, the labs computers went down and now I have to wait until tomorrow to get the results!!! Oh well I am convivnced its a negative b/c I have been having spot bleeding since last week end, DH however is remaining ever the positive one, god bless him.
Macca - I was just reading your post and thinking how similar this was to my last one and also how frustrating. I too had 27 Follies and got 17 eggs with 12 fertilising. We found out that my eggs use up all their energy fertilising and therefore dont have much left to continue to grow. Supposedly this happened last time. We ended up transferring two and freezing three, however I am thinking 1. If they new about the energy being used up why didnt they do ICSI this time??? 2. how do I know that the ones they put back are any good they were only 24 hours old and most didnt survive past that phase. I knwo that I shoul dbe happy but you go through so much to get them and then u feel like he lab could have made some better decisions.
I also suffered moderate OHSS and my FS has a policy only to transfer back one fresh embryo for persons under 35. As my 35 birthday is next week I had to beg them t o put two back in. For frozen they will do multiple but not fresh, do to the high risk. However it appears fom our last cycle that we didnt three frozen transfer and then I requeste dthat they do a thaw and culture for 24 hours before transfering back the emby and we found out on both attempts that the embryo thawed ok but it didnt continue to grow, so there was twp more wasted !!! So know I am thinking my eggs waste energy (!!) they dont particuallary like to be frozen so how can i have any faith in future transfers. Unfortunatley (i know this sounds ungrateful) our three frosties were all frozen at the blasto stage so hey cant do a thaw and culture all they can do is thaw and transfer straight away, which means I will be forever wondering if they were any good or not !!! Oh it is just way to much sometime.s I really get sick of having all these choices and decisions to make. makes the 'accidental' pregnancy seem like a god send !!! Sorry bit of a rant but I can so relate.
How is everyone else going ??? Oddly enough I havent even thought about buying a HPK, I think I had about 40 in my cupboard as momentos (stupid huh) all negative of course so really have a hate hate relationship with them !!! Decided to throw them out the other day.
Megan - good luck for your next cycle
Two mums - I have my fingers crossed, you deserve a bit of luck to come your way
Fig - Congratulations, lets hope your our Xmas lucky charm
Jo - hello, would have lovd to have gone and seen Robbie, enjoy the wekend coming !!!
Take care and blessed be
-
Hi there,
Macca - sorry to hear you're having a tough time atm, I have no idea what you are going through but please know that I am thinking of you & sending you lots of postive vibes. (vent anytime)
Sari - there is something to always wait for isn't there, I feel like all I ever do ttc is wait.
Hope you can have some fantastic results.
Nic - hope you are doing well, our robbie concert was the 1st December.
I still can't stop talking about it, but you definately have to have standing, getting so close was amazing.
Megan - bummer you have to wait till January, have you done a pg test?
Jo :)
-
OH my god,....
After spending yesterday moaning my guts out and being so negative, the clininc rang today with my results and I have a BFP !!! Woo hoo. I cant beleive it after four years of trying. I even went out tonight and bought a HPK just because I have never seen one with a positive.
My DH and my dad both teared up. I never expected to be in this position and have seen so many people before post their news and always wished that I could do the same one day. I have to admit that this week I had been thinking that I couldnt do this anymore.
I just want to wish you all best of luck in achieving your dreams, because when you think you just cant go on anymore the amazing happens.
Good luck and blessed be
-
Congratulations Sari!!!! :)
It's so good to come in here to some good news!! All the best for a healthy pregnancy. :D
-
Sari - congratulations on your BFP, what a great start to christmas. I reckon sometimes it is easier to prepare yourself for that BFN, but when you do get that BFP you sort of go into shock for a few days. Congratulations. I can't beleive how many BFP's I am reading, fingers crossed there are many more on the way, including one for me. Well done and again congratulations.
-
For those who are in the 2ww, I have attached an article which I found and thought it maybe of interest to some :)

going for my bt now and i hope i get the results today
-
loula - Sorry to hear you are a little down, I totally understand where you are coming from, I am only into the 4th day in the 2ww. Just taking it easy and trying to be normal. Had a bit of concern last night, got a little crampy and felt a bit of period pain, so that was a bit worring. Hey if it is meant to be it will be and I know it will happen one day, we have been there before but we had a MC so it is not like it can't happen, but I guess like everyone you always have at the back of your mind, maybe it might not ever happen, but I guess you can only try. Wish you all the best for your BT and I hope you get a great surprise. Please try and stay strong and positive and it is OK to feel down and vent. Your DH sounds so great and what a wonderful way to celebrate your 1st anniversary and a great time out from life and stresses. All the best and sticky vibes and baby dust for you, we are all here for you if needed but maybe not :)
-
CONGRATULATIONS SARI:happyforyou:
I wish you all the best for the next nine months, I would say after all this time that you so deserve it.
I can't imagine what it would have been like when they told you over the phone that you had a BFP especially when you were'nt expecting it.
What a wonderful xmas present. :confetti:

Hi Ladies!
Just wanted to say congratulations Sari!:happyforyou:
What wonderful news - and how perfect for Christmas!!!
I can't imagine your emotions right now, enjoy every moment of it!!!:D
It's so great to get on here and read about people getting positive results - sometimes it feels like this is all a dream and a positive with IVF isn't a reality..... so great to hear it can happen so we can all have the strength to keep trying!!!
Congratulations to you, and my best wishes to all of you ladies on the 2ww:bluedust: :stickyvibesgirl:
Anyway, I'm off to the specialist tomorrow in hope of him shedding a little light on why he thinks my embies just won't stick?
Will report back and let you know my progress!
