PosTTC yep is very hard knowing that there is absolutely nothing you can do about. Hoping you get a different person doing your scan on Wed. Understaning that everyone has to learn but when we are so emotionally charged to this point in a cycle & all we are after is good news can be very frustrating when we feel like guinea pigs. I would maybe ask for someone to oversee the scan if you get the same girl. It'll come down to the epu though & heres hoping that there will be more hiding. Are they likley to go past Friday for epu? My eventual epu was 3 days after my planned epu date in the hope that they were more mature. Good luck PosTTC, everything crossed for you xx

Hi Joe, I will know for sure tomorrow arvo as I have another scan booked tomorrow morning, but the FN I spoke to yesterday seemed to think Friday. The follies ranged between 13mm & 15mm so not sure how much they grow them to before the epu. Hubby said the same as you doesn't matter if the girl doesn't pick them up in the scan if there are some hiding they will find them during surgery. Will update you tomorrow arvo x

PosTTC, good luck with your scan/EPU. I just wanted to add that on my last cycle I was crying on the first scan because I think I had 2 small follicles and thought for sure that it would be cancelled, and then I ended up with something like 10 big follicles, and then by the EPU I had 4 eggs (which for us is actually very good, as good as it gets, but it seemed kind of low because of the number of follicles) and then 4 good quality embryos which was (again for us) really just amazing. So those highs and lows with IVF ... I don't know, they are just crazy and it's pretty impossible not to get caught up in them. Things change on a dime though, they really do. And you just never know....

Oh that's ok rai!! It kinda gave me courage to test as my friend turned up with a hpt in her bag!! .... Um there are 2 frigging lines on it?!?! :o:o:jawdrop::crossfingers:
So pray its not a chem but I rang monash and they said its good to have a hpt come up positive so early ... Now I try n stay sane yeah right!

Thanks for sharing WW how amazing! I love hearing things like that it gives me hope and makes me optimistic which I think is always a good thing.

Oh Sarah I am holding everything for you, how awesome it will be to see another BFP on this forum

AFM - Had my ultrasound this morning as you know and I am so pleased we have 8 follies now so looks like we will do retrieval on Friday theyv'e given me the ovidrel in anticipation. Will find out for sure this afternoon when I call for my results. Transfer is to be 3 days later so that will be Monday then

Why do they do the different transfer days? what's the deciding factor? i thought they would wait to see what the eggs are like first
