curlygirl - so glad that your EPU delivered some results, I hope your other embie makes it so you've got an insurance policy. Pregnyl jabs are my least favourite, they sting if you do it too quick.
Good luck to everyone whatever stage you're at. I do too much lurking and can't keep track of everyone!!

AFM - one blast transferred yesterday, 8 snowbubs, back to feeling normal; only issue now is dealing with a slightly nosy friend who suspects we're doing IVF and is apparently planning to confront me (she doesn't know that I know she is suspicous - get that??). I don't want to lie to her but I also don't really have any great desire to talk about it with her so right now I'm just ****ed off about having to tell her before I'm ready. On the flip side, I hope she hurries up and confronts me so I can tell her to keep her mouth shut and not share her suspicions with all our other friends. I'm sure you've all had to deal with this, any advice?

Woo hoo! Congrats Bel! Awesome news! On one hand I am insanely jealous that your TWW is over early but I'm really very happy for you!

I must admit I'm finding it hard to keep up with everyone, but I want to thank you all for sharing your stories and upates - I find it interesting and encouraging.

AFM, I'm now two weeks post EPU and no AF, though apparently crinone can supress AF. I have no symptoms to speak of and I'm still not feeling positive about it. DH insists that we can't test early - DOH!

On tra_k - Congrats on your transfer and some good snowbubs!!! As for your nosy friend, I'm not really sure. My instinct would be to tell her that she hasn't been told because it is a private matter that can be incredibly emotional and you would rather tell people in hind sight......the less people that know (who don't understand) the better. I've learned that form this cycle. My parents in law keep ringing up and telling me how dissapointed they are that we 'failed'. Aaarrrggghhhhh :wall:

AFM: Back to taking temp etc, as least it's familiar! Will see doc next week. I have a monster essay due on Monday so very busy getting that done.

bel - congrats, that is very inspiring. i hope you're back to feeling yourself again soon.

afm - disappointment today that i can't go ahead with a FET this month :cry: FS says my system needs a rest. so more waiting and counting, waiting and counting...damn, this is such a rollercoaster. i don't expect i'll be ready for my FET now until early December based on my cycles... I'll be praying for a Christmas BFP.

What can I say? I have had a tough week and so too have so many of you. I am trying acupuncture,yoga and meditation...don't really buy it but anything is worth a try right?

I have spent many a day at work crying in the toilet, calling my mum, asking why isn't it me......This pregnancy of my friend at work has made me even more determined. Do you ever feel that it is so amazing how strong we women are, picking ourselves up off the toilet floor time and time again? I am constantly inspired by the strength of the women in this forum.:goodluck: to both of you. JBM... a special thanks for saying I am not mean...hubby thinks I am and it is so nice to speak to girls who understand.

Neptune, your advice is spot on. I think I'll memorise that line!! Sorry that you have to deal with your in-laws' disappointment too (as if you don't have enough on your plate!!). My Mum & sis are a bit TOO excited about this first cycle I think so I hope they're not too disappointed if it doesn't work. I've already done the excited thing for the "first" clomid cycle and the "first" IUI etc. so I'm a bit over the excitement and just in it for the long haul!!

Thanks for the hello.... I know what you mean about the family being all too excited and those nosey people. My family just don't get that it may not work. They were convinced the IUIs worked as I was soooooooooooo bloated. Then I had the lap 2 weeks ago and again they thought the bloat was a great sign.!!???The nurse at IVF Australia told me that although it is hard, just tell them you are taking a few months off TTC . (haven't tried that myself yet)

Neptune - my parents tell me they are "So" disappointed so I sympathise. I have become immune to their comments as they are coming from a good place, but they just don't understand and therefore say things the wrong way.

well i am feeling a bit crappy, i am sure this hasn't worked again!! i am trying not to think the worst but all af signs are coming except bleeding. but i am checking for that. i so hope i am wrong.

Just popped in and glad to see some inspirational BFPs in here.
Having a bad day. Just found out yet another friend is pg. Had the typical reaction of feeling sorry for myself (god I hate that but just can't help it) and actually got teary this time. Luckily found out via email (she's o/s) and not face-to-face. Was surprised how much it upset me to be honest. She doesn't know about our situation. Am not going to reply to her email until I can send a happy positive reply and stop being selfish and self-pitying.

It was our 4th wedding anniversary this week. I really thought we'd have a bub by now. Anyway we're still in no-man's-land, waiting for our 1st ivf in Jan. Only a little over 2 months to wait now. Must think positive!

So many of us, I wrote a lovely long reply to everyone and it dissapeared !! Ahhhh
I am thinking of everyone and know what stages you are all at -

Im on my last puregon and a trigger on Sunday, drug free Monday and EPU on Tuesday (our FS is going to do a scan first as I had that little scare with a raising LH) but the new injection seems to have it at bay)

Does your FS do a scan before you go under anasthetic (spelling ?) to make sure your follies are ready to go ?? I became a little nervous when the nurse told me FS wants to do a scan before EPU ? Is that normal ?
