Just a quick one... Doing some research and you can get ohss spontaneously from 'natural' pregnancies! Who knew!
Although it is rare.
Not suggesting that's what I have but thought people might be interested. I was!

Got Their BFP in October
:dunno:
Cd 1 for me today.
Just left the fs office. Doing a down reg cycle. My first one! Start the pill today. I'll be doing 450iu puregon, filgrastim, growth hormone, aspirin, clexane, prednison and a gazillion other things. I also keep going with the DHEA and Metformin and melatonin.... I will be the pin cushion biatch from hell who rattles.
Eta - all going well, EPU will be end of November (around 6 weeks)
Holy Toledo n2l I thought mine was bad enough, you will definately rattle from all that. I hope it all means you will get that BFP for Christmas :-)
Wow n2l, I am excited to see how you go. So many new things to try. at least its not the same old same old.
Afm - 4 still in the running. I am still hopeful. Pupo tomorrow yay!
Thanks gals :)
Imagine....some people have sex and they get pregnant! Look at all the fun they miss out on
vic - congrats, its sounding very promising that you will get a couple to freeze too... always a bonus. best of luck for tomorrow. xx
juniper - sounds like you have a lot going on atm. take care.
wow, n2l. thats some protocol you got there. i will be stalking your progress with keen interest! ;) im doing a down reg atm too atm, past 4 stims have been antagonist, so havent done one of these since my very first stim. FS says that although i get better numbers (eggs) with antagonist, im still not pregnant - fair enough. so trying down reg again with an increased puregon dose, still keeping the nk cell meds too (clexane, prednisolone, aspirin). yay.
afm - i forgot how much i hated the syranel nasal spray, i would rather an injection or a pessary any day. pretty sure i burnt a hole in the back of my nostril sniffing too hard this morning... might need to tone it down a little for next time. hope everyone else is going ok. :)
Andie, it sounds like we are doing a very similar protocol. What dose of puregon are you having?
Eta- I am a little worried about doing a down reg. Most eggs I got with antagonist was four. That was with a dose of 262.5 gonal f.
im a bit worried about doing down reg again too. i only got 3 eggs with this protocol last time. 2 x bfn's and 1 embryo didn't thaw properly. so not great stats there. although that stim was on around 175 puregon.
this stim will be on 250 puregon, wondering if i should nudge it up a bit? last 2 x stims i have used elonva, which is based on around 200-250 dose i think. im kind of taking a leap of faith with my FS by doing this down reg, she was interested to see how id go. and she is right - im still not pregnant from doing the past 4 stims as antagonist. i just hope im pleasantly surprised and get more than 3...
You me both Andie!
Andie, you could certainly go higher if you wanted (unless your Dr thinks there's a risk of OHSS). Most Drs will go as high as 350iu if it is warranted (and 3 eggs last time sounds like a good reason to me). Some worry about egg quality if you go higher. Our first FS wouldn't go above 350iu, but our current FS had me on 450iu last time (and is proposing to do the same again, but I'm wondering if we should drop back to below 350 to avoid risking egg quality - he doesn't think the high dose will affect egg quality but it worries me). (ps. yes, I've read that the elonva is supposed to be equivalent to around 200iu of FSH)
I share your concern about the down-reg protocol, but my FS won't budge on it unless we try it and get less than 3 eggs (with the 450iu of gonal-f he wants me to use).
Vic I hope all 4 make it to tomorrow and you get some frosties. Good luck with transfer tomorrow, stick little embies stick........
N2l your comment about some people missing all the fun by just having sex cracked me up lol
Cracked me up too. And what with that TV show, I didn't know I was pregnant. Huh. How does that happen???
Wouldnt it be nice to have a few drinks one night and two weeks later be pg. *sigh* A girl can dream :)
