A BIG HELLO to all!
I have been meaning to pop over to this neck of the woods for a while now, but seem to have become rather absorbed by the TTC journals. It's about time I broaden my horizons I think.
Boy there's a lot going on over here. Hopefully I've got it all right? Let's see how I go:
Congrats to - Sparkles, Mel & MO5 (soon to be MO6 's. I'm stoked for you & wish you all h&h Pg's.
Apologies to - Shelly, Nat, Ellie, Rols. I'm so sorry your recent cycles weren't a success, and wish you much luck for the next steps in your journey. I hope your own BFP's are not too far away.
Shannon & Mon - looks like EPU is not too far off. I'm praying there's a good no. of 'eggs'ellent qual eggies brewing up for you both. Good luck!
Sonya - FET not far away now. Best of luck hun!
Nic - sheeeesh! 12-13wks + of Synarel?? By golly! How are you going with it? I hope it's not messing with you too much.
Smithy (SSPPB) - good to hear you're feeling more comfy with the Synarel now. When do you start the jabs matey?
Kazza & BG - thinking of you on your TWW's and sending loads of STICKIES your way. Best of luck to you 2.
A bit of background info for those who don't know me:-
DH and I started TTC in Dec '06. We got things checked out early as DH had TTC for 12mths+ in his previous marriage with no luck. Some tests back then showed low count & motility.
Unfortunately this time 'round his troops are looking worse, and after a few months of accupuncture, herbs & supplements galore, they're still looking pretty shoddy, and not much was achieved apart from "expensive urine," according to our Andrologist. LOL! Tests have showed no varicocele / structural probs, no hormone or genetic issues - there just seems to be no scientific explanation for DH's fertility issues. Fortunately, I check out A'OK!
It has been a pretty trying few months for us, DH especially, but we're getting our heads around things, and it's now full steam ahead for us, and ICSI this month. I am day 3 on my Synarel, and looking like I will start injections next weekend with EPU somewhere b/w 25 - 30/9. We're feeling positive, but keeping as realistically minded as poss about the whole thing.
Best of luck to everyone. I'm really looking forward to seeing some BFP's in here very soon!

Hi Karena,
Antonia Ruhl (Natural Stress Therapy) sells a natural product called "Bïg O'. It is a mix of natural massage oils. It is both a lubricant as well as a stimulant. DH and I both love it. Her clinic is in Melbourne but I believe they will courier it interstate. As far as I know it is not available through any other channel.
She also has a new Wine tonic called "Selvagem" that she is importing from Brazil. It contains several herbs with reputed aphrodisiac qualities. It tastes nice and does get DH and I in the mood .
We are continuing to take the Blood/Immune tonic and can notice the difference in our energy levels. We have both been quite busy with work so we figure it must be the tonic that is helping. Seeing Antonia again next week. Will keep you all posted on our adventure.
Lots of sticky vibes to everyone.
Love,
Kerri

Hi Kerry & kareena!
Woohooh! Antonia's Big O concoction (& the rest) sounds like it's worth a go. Would you know if it's formulated to be sperm friendly like the Pre-seed is?
Kareena - My DH and I have tried the pre-seed lubricants. They are specially formulated to be sperm-friendly, unlike your average lubricant. My DH has MF infertility, so we figured anything that may help give his boys a hand, is worth shot. Most lubricants don't actually contain spermicides, unless specifically stated, but most do contain glycerol &/or silicone or silicone-like ingredients (e.g. dimethicone), which make the lubricant difficult for the lil' fellas to swim through.
Unfortunately Pre-seed didn't seem to help us conceive, and it did come at quite a price compared to your average lubricant (we ordered online through an ebay store I think?). The other thing worth mentioning is that DH wasn't all that fond of it really. We were s'posed to use a whole tube each BD session, which produced (SORRY all if TMI) a fair amount of gooeyness, and eliminated most friction - so DH complained that a LOT of sensation was diminished for him.
No doubt, everyone is different, and each to their own really. I still do think it's worth a try!
Hope that helps matey! Happy BD'ing!

Hello, hope every1 had a good weekend!
Arielle, great to see you in here! Hope the Synarel is going well for you! And ditto to you Smithy.
Loula welcome back! I hope you get your well deserved BFP!!
Sparkles, Mel & MO5 hope the PGs are coming along nicely!
Shannon, are you booked in for your EPU yet? And Sonya what about your FET?
To everyone else hope you are in a good place and your TTC journey is doing well!
Good to be jump back on line and see where every1 is at! My internet connection was down over the long w/e (bloody viruses), so couldnt get on to see how every1 is doing!
I went for my BT and US on Fri and this morning. Waiting for a call back. But EPU looks likely to be Fri or Mon at this stage. My BT as of Fri was good (above 1000) and follies growing well. This morning had 20 follicles on right hand side and 12 on left hand side and they ranged in size from 9mm - 13mm. There were a couple that were bigger - around 18mm, however nurse said that given these will probably end up being too mature. But she said everything was cooking well.
Will post all the details in my journal! But did have a bit of an incident / reaction with the drugs on Sat night. Had a monster headache all day and in the evening did spray, Gonal F and popped a couple of Panadol. This was just as I had finished eating! Anyway I started feeling really nauseaus and half hour later threw up. Nurse said its common side effect, and could be a combination of headache / panadol / not enough food. Anyway have felt better since. However I can really feel my ovaries all bloated up now. Esp when I walk!!! Anwyay hoping EPU will be on Friday - at least have the weekend to relax, rather than taking additional days off work!
Will keep you posted!
Mon :)

Hi Everyone
I haven't posted for a while as been feeling a little down. My sister in law has just had her first scan today, I could just imagine how happy they are.
I am starting my synarel next week so hopefully I get my BFP.
How are you doing Ellie?
Could someone one confirm for me why we can't have transfers back to back? Is it due to your hormone levels needing to stablise?
Good Luck to everyone

Hi everyone
Just a quick note to let you all know that I am about and reading and trying to keep up with everyone. Sorry to see that there has been disappointing cycles recently but hopefully things will look up sometime soon.
My house looks like a bomb has exploded - I have packing stuff and boxes everywhere... still it will be good when we move, which is only next week now. And I start my new job next week as well. Talk about busy.
Managed to have a good chat with our FS here at MIVF before move to Canberra. She has recommended that we try a natural cycle or even clomid assisted as it is pretty clear that my body is not responding to the FSH drugs. She is going to write a comprehensive referral to my new FS at SIVF who I am going to see next month. We really want to try for another cycle this year if we can. The prospect of trying something different has renewed my enthusiasm again. I was dreading having to start again with another down reg cycle because of a new FS, so hopefully, that won't be the case.
I will try to keep in touch over the coming weeks but we are not sure yet when we will be able to get internet on in the new house, so take care all and good luck to you all wherever you are in your cycles.

Me again, thanks for the well wishes Smithy and Nat! I hope I do get a good number of eggs! Fingers crossed!
Nat sorry to hear you are down! Its such a rollercoaster this journey and not fair at times! I got a text message the other night (after my chuck) from my best friend in the UK. She was here in June and I told her about my probs and she told me that she and her DH would start trying in the coming months as well.
Anyway her message was to announce she is PG! I couldnt believe it! even though I am happy for her! Was really torn, especially knowing that they hadnt even started trying and she fell PG first go!
I really wish for BFPs all round for us ...we all so deserve it!
Chez good luck with your natural cycle ... have fingers crossed for you as well!
Kelly good luck with starting your journey again!
Sonya! Good luck with the FET on Thurs, will be thinking of you as well!
