sorry N2L it just plain sucks.
Hey to everyone else!
AFM my 5 are still doing what they are supposed to but been here so many times before, just keep praying for my miracle.
X
Bloss - Great news that 5 are still going. I always breathe a sigh of relief each day I ring to check on them.
Hi all - Yesterdays results are in. E2 now 1050, LH still 6 so they are expecting my surge to happen today and transfer to be next Tuesday or Wednesday depending on todays results, tomorrow if that makes sense lol. Another BT tomorrow just LH and Prog though. E2 is high enough now. Thank god this body is finally doing what it meant to be doing. Yippee!! Good body, I love my body, good body....
Now I dont know whether to BD or not. I want a clean uterus next week for transfer and they say it lasts for up to 5 days and am having two put back in. But what if they dont survive thaw and I have had my biopsy and taking my CoQ10. DH isn't that keen, but I hate missing any opportunity. But then I have given up getting pg naturally. *sigh* Thoughts girls???
Woohoo Vic, not to sure on the advice. If it was me I wouldn't BD. After all these years I find it difficult to believe I would fall naturally so would put all my eggs into the FET basket.
sounds good so far, blossom. xx
vic - blasts are supposed to survive the thaw process quite well, I reckon it would be unusual that both wouldn't survive... im with mrs mac, I probably wouldn't either. but if the mood takes you... why not?! ; )
Thanks girls. I probably wont risk it. All my but 1 of my embies have thawed, so I should be right.
Blossom, great news hun!! GL with your little ones :crossfingers:
N2l, I hear ya hunni. I've yet to see little pigglets flying around too. Sorry AF arrived
Vic, I would just DTD hun if it takes your fancy. I've always done it around transfers and I got a BFP 3 out of 4 times. I've been told that it's good to do it as you are creating a good environment for the embie, an 'au naturel' environment. GL hun :crossfingers: BUT don't kill me if your one embie decides to split and the other one takes as well AND you get a completely natural BFP as well resulting in 4 babies at once! :o lol.
Lol Miss.B For my last transfer I didn't DTD and got my BFP and the other 4 times I did do it and nothing. Maybe it likes a nice clean home :)
N2L - Sorry about AF, but we know its not as bad as when we are doing a cycle. For me its always expected and when can I start IVF again. So now you have to wait for another AF to start your new and improved cycle?
j bear - Good luck babe.
nire - As silly as it may seem....I quiet enjoy the process and the possibilities it may hold. Don't focus too much on the negatives. The only thing I hate about the whole process is the COST, and medicare should cover at least 80%!! That way the financial pressure and stress would be eliminated and maybe more of us would be more relaxed and receptive to the whole process...less stress more BFP's!
nothing2lose & myturn - you guys make me laugh......but remember alot of us thought it would never happen for us...it did....and we are back!So always look at the next one as that could be the one! yay!
AFM- just researching the net...looking for ways to get better results, however I was thinking today, that usually I get at least 4 fertilise and we always try to get to blast and I always end up with 1 or 2 by day 5....this time I am gonna tell FS that i would like to put the ****tier looking ones back in on Day2/3 transfer and the rest get to blast and freeze.
QUESTION FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD BFP:
What was the less likely egg you got BFP with? ( i hope that makes sense)
emerald - not sure if this is the info you are after, but both times i got a bfp it was with a day 2/3 embryo. one was 8 cells, one was 6-7 cells. unfortunately didnt work out, but a bfp is a bfp. i have since had 3 blast transfers that havent even registered a blip on the system. i am seriously considering going back to 2/3 day transfers too.
Andie78 - I have had 8 fresh cycles with 1 BFP. All have been blast transfers.....I'm thinking of trying something different....well i know I can get to blast, because i have been left with either 1 or 2 each time and always transferrred what was left.....( 6 out of 8 times it was x2) not very good odds, if blasts are the way to go....thats why i want people to answer the question for me, just so I can get some stats...and a BFP is BFP! (although i am sorry for the m/c)
Where are you located...sorry to ask.
Thanks for the well wishes ladies!! Everything went good had a very full bladder so they had a good view.
Good luck Nire hope the jabbing goes well & u get lots of lovely follies.
Big hugs N2L sorry AF came.
Bloss i know what you mean. But that does sound good. I hope those 5 continue to get stronger & are you have some to save!
Hello ladies
I have been silently stalking you all and trying to work out if I belong in here or not (please let me know if I'm not).
DH and I have been TTC since April 2010, last year we went and saw a FS where it was determined that while DH swimmers are relatively fine, but I have poly-cystic ovaries. I tried clomid for 6 months, which worked but still no pg. We then put actively TTC on hold until after we got married, and last week we went back to see our FS. Forms have now been sent off for me to be put on the waiting list to have a laparoscopy done to see whether my tubes are clear etc. FS also thinks I may have endometriosis as I have started getting bad period pain ever since I went on clomid. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long, waiting sucks!
Good luck to everyone wherever you are in your cycle.
ETA: Nire! So sorry to see you still TTC!
welcome Treenie86, Yes, i think you are in the right place.....lots of different people in here, all with different experiences. We will all try to support you as best we can. Ask anything you like.
Treenie, hi and welcome! GL with the lap. I had my second one last month. I hope you don't have to wait too long.
Vic, I've already told you our plans for BD before the FET. Last time we thawed 2 embryos and only 1 survived; this time we only have 1 embryo. Do you know if your embies were frozen using vitrification? If so, they have a very high thaw success rate. Unfortunately, our embie wasn't frozen with that method, so we're facing the lower thaw success rate... There's a whole lot of things to consider and if your initial reaction was to not BD then that's probably the right option for you.
Em Star, last time we transferred a 2-cell grade 2 and 4-cell grade 2- (grade 1 is best, grade 3 worst) and one of those became DD. So, she was either a slow-growing average quality or normal speed below average quality. I never expected that transfer to work.
Just a quick one for the coQ10 girls. Woolworths has Swisse 150gm half price until next Wednesday. So it's about $15 a bottle of 30.
Off to woolworths I go, thanks. : )
Well we are going ahead with day 3 transfer its a 7cell grade 3 out of 4 which is great. I feel much better and the FS has agreed to no pregnyl just pessaries as support so I don't develop secondary ohss. We have two still splitting and may not make it to day 5 but we will see.
Sorry for the selfish postings ;( hope you are all doing well will catch up more once I am back home and relaxed
Krit that is awesome. Your going to be PUPO. Yippee!!!
Thanks N2L for the CoQ10 heads up. I did see in the Terry White Chemist they are $17 and I thought that was cheap. They also have Blackmores Pregnancy Gold 180 tablets at $30 which is half price.
Juniper - I am not too sure how ours are frozen...hmm...something else for me to stalk now :) I mentioned to DH that we could BD with a condom, he wasn't too impressed lol. I hate giving it up :( Still its all for a good cause, god willing.
Quick one, E2 now 1399 up from 1050 yesterday LH still 6 :wall: Come on already...surge... another BT tomorrow *sigh*
Just thought I'd mention that My Chemist has a tub of 200 capsules of the CoQ10, 50 mg, at $20. So even though I have to take 12 a day (they are very small) I have 16.6 days worth out of the tub, and I'm taking 600 mg per day.
you do all the me-posts you like, krikkit! glad you're feeling a bit better & you get to transfer this cycle. good idea about ditching the pregnyl... goodluck ;)
vic - remember your affirmations... good body...

Krikkit, was thinking of you this morning, so very glad to hear you're feeling well enough to proceed. FX for you!
N2L, hmm, may have to go to woolies. Target had Swisse 40% off again today (deal of the day), but that woolies one is definitely better!
Vic, my SIL works for a Terry White so I'll have to let her know what I'm after and ask her to warn me when they're on special! I never think of them as a "cheap" option.
ok.. lets try to catch up.. firstly.. YAY! my avi is back! whoot.. ah the simple things.
vic261 - hope it happens soon, I hate being a pin cushion too! About DTD.. we are not allowed. Which doesnt bother me one bit.. I have enough going on up there to have him poking around too is not fun.
treenie86 - waiting sucks, and you are in the right place. We are all waiting for something to happen!
Emerald Star - I had a bfp with a 3 day embryo scoring 3 out of 4 (which is good at my clinic) but not sure how many cells it had - it possibly is in my blog. If that ever works I will let you know!
AFM - pupo... yes! my little day 3 is on board. I am drinking gatorate and eating salty foods to keep the ohss at bay. I wont know till Tuesday if any of my remaining eggies make it to blasty. One has been dividing nicely but has 11 cells, which is a bit of a problem, they dont like uneven numbers when it gets to double digits.
My FS was a PITA. he was about to cancel on me this morning he was concerned the OHSS had damaged my lining and wanted to to an internal ultrasound. WITHOUT LUBRICANT! ****. if there is nothing worse then your legs up in stirrups and 4 nurses peering at your *needed to be waxed* vagineeee.... then to be told no lube, cause they dont want to compromise the embryo if I do go ahead! I was in giggling fits, I had clearly lost all dignity and modesty. You would think I get over it.. but no. Anyways, everything looked ok, my ovaries were enlarged and I still had some fluid, but nothing like I had before. My cervix was a bit bloody too apparently.. which is odd, cause I don't think they touch the cervix during EPU. No pessaries but I will be doing pregnyl. Not happy, but they are monitoring me closely before injection to make sure I wont OHSS. bloods in the morning - injection at night.
Cross fingers and toes this baby sticks. or I am calling it quits and buying a dog.
Wow, away for a few days and miss so much. Will pop back for full catch up later but wanted to say thanks for the advice on synarel. Awful, awful after taste, but so glad for the advice to have something on hand to drink! Not looking forward to the next spray in 20.
Welcome treenie.
Sorry to hear you've had a rough run krikkit. Sending sticky vibes.
Back for more persies once I've properly caught up.
Hi girls happy weekend to u all.
Krikkit glad u r feeling little better our bodies go thru so much. I have everything crossed for you with your little day 3 embie. I reckon you should by a dog anyway my furbabies are the best medicine for me. I'll be joining u tomorrow in 2ww torture.

I have to say the 600mg coq10 and dhea 100mg have made a massive difference to my egg quality.
Will keep u posted thanks for the support girls x
Loving hearing you say that about the coQ10 and DHEA Bloss! Good luck tomorrow :)
good luck with the transfer tomorrow blossom!
krikkit so glad to hear that you got to transfer - FX this one is a keeper :crossfingers:
Good luck to you too Krikkit!!! :)
Thanks N2l.
Anyone get any tips on what to eat to help implantation?
Blossom, good luck tomorrow lovely!! Well done for your little embies :) I have to say I'm getting quite excited at the prospect that maybe my little eggies will be better too with all the CoQ10 I've been taking! Hope everything goes well for you hunni :crossfingers:
KritKrit, congrats on being PUPO hun!!!!! Fingers crossed the nice little embie digs itself a big hole to stay in for a loooooooong time :) I had to laugh at your story about the u/s without the lubricant, there is no dignity no matter how many times they look 'down there'! hehehe
Vic, let's hope tomorrow's results are much better :crossfingers:
Welcome Treenie :hello:

JoeSpratt - 15/9 - BFP (b/w) @13dpo
Finally started period (so now i am day 1 of my cycle) today so therefore started injections did not hurt at all so i stressed for no reason.hopefully will end in a good result.but am not getting my hopes up as my husband doesnt have the best swimmers. But ya neva know
Lh is now 10 up from 6 so its slowly happening. Had a faint +opk this morning but -opk this afternoon. By rights I should be ovulating tomorrow so maybe I missed the surge? Maybe last night. Bt this morning, but wont get results till monday. Another bt monday.
Hi to everyone else. Glad to hear the transfers went well. And good to hear about the coq10. Yay.
best birthday pressie ever!!! BT today & BFP :D let's hope this one is a keeper
Joe, congrats and Happy Birthday!! :birthday2:
W&D, glad to hear your first shots went well.
*edit*
I realised today we've got another potential hurdle to overcome. I normally O CD17, which would mean our embryo would be thawed CD20 (frozen day 3). That's a Friday and my FS doesn't do transfers on weekends. It also happens to be a long weekend that weekend (Queen's birthday). We now have to hope that I O a few days early or late or we will be cancelled for timing reasons before we even try to thaw... :wall:
Happy birthday JoeSpratt and congrats..well done:dance:
Happy Bday Joe Spratt and big congrats x
