Airline ~ I don?t think I have been inserting the nasal pump spray correctly to explain the synarel dribble down the nozzle. Like you I have also sprayed twice and noted this after a poor first attempt. Well done on the scan result ? 12 follies is impressive!! Hope they grow into big quality follies and the smaller ones catch up just in time for EPU next week. Glad to hear you had a great time at the party over the weekend and the shoes lived up to your expectations!

Mummawannabe ~ hope AF shows up soon so you can start your next cycle! AF vibes coming your way ....

Coral73 ~ glad to hear your bloating has subsided and you are feeling more comfortable. I also woke up this morning feeling normal so much so that I was convinced I had ovulated and all my little follies had deflated. Today has been one of the better days for me. I think my body has finally adjusted itself to the enlarged ovaries and is not resisting anymore. When are you due for EPU? GL for the scan & BT on Friday.

Sonjalouise ~ Hope you are surviving the TWW! As for the CM I confirmed with my FS that it?s quite normal for CM to appear during the cycle ? just as you had mentioned. The ovulation suppressants - suppress ovulation but they do not control CM. Thank you for sharing your experience yesterday. I felt much better after reading your post last night. When is your BT?

Lise ~ Hope the TWW is treating you well! When is your BT? I told my FS that I would like to transfer 2 embies today and she flatly denied my request as I am still young enough and have no known fertility issues. It was worth a try I thought. :redface:

Meg ~ Great result for your first scan. I had 6 on my first and then 8 on my second and better still they may even discover more during EPU!! As you have probably already read it?s all about ?quality? not quantity and you only need one to stick to make it happen! When is your EPU?

LondonMiss ~ GL with your IUI cycle ? hope this is the one and you don?t have to consider IVF.

Mitf ~ thanks for the tip on synarel. I don?t think I have been inserting it far enough. Tried your advice tonight and guess what no synarel on the nozzle. Yay. Next time I might request the lucrin ? I might have more success injecting myself than sniffing synarel.

Juniper ~ I am also confused about the changes to the medicare safety net and how they will impact us financially. We will wait and see how our first IVF cycle goes and what we can claim back to compare against the changes proposed for next year.

Hello to everyone else I have missed!

AFM ~ I had my 3rd and last scan today ? yippee! So the latest figures are: 2 x 19mm, 1 x 17mm, 1 x 16mm, 1 x 15mm, 2 x 13mm and 1 x 12mm. I took a photo with my mobile phone of the scan results just before handing it to the clinic so I could recall my follie stats. Pathetic I know. My memory is not as sharp as it once was...
My EPU is booked in for next Monday. This gives my little follies more time to grow. At this stage ET is on Wednesday! And yes I confirmed with my FS that I didn?t ovulate (phew) and its quite normal to see CM.

Airline: So glad you had a great weekend. It sounds like heaven!! Great result 12 follies lets hope they just keep on growing.

I think I mentioned in an earlier post, but I was going insane trying to work out how I could help them grow more and I found these suggestions. Put your legs up against the wall for 20 mins each night to increase blood flow to the area, and put a heat pack on your stomach. I wasnt too sure about the heat pack because I thought the area was not supposed to get over heated, but I did the leg thing, it is actually quite relaxing.

Mummawannabe- I am sorry I can?t offer any advice, I hope AF appears soon.

Coral73- Glad to hear that you are a bit more comfortable.

Meltcc- Great results for your scan, no harm in asking for the two embies. Part of me is beginning to worry. My DH is an identical twin, I am pretty sure that identical twins are just a freak of nature and not hereditary, but now I am wondering if we tempted fate. My FS probably wouldn?t have allowed me to transfer two if I hadn?t already had 2 miscarriages.

AFM- Just waiting, waiting, waiting. I have felt a few twinges today, hopefully the little ones are burrowing in and getting comfortable.

I was curious about when people think I could do a POAS. My blood test is on the 23rd (Next Friday) which will be 13 days after the ET. Is there any point trying to test before that? I am not on pregnyl so I have no concern it will be the meds.

Have a relaxing evening, I am off to watch City Homicide and probably fall asleep on the couch.

Quick post to update.

Had my first BT this morning and picked up my FSH injections ready to start on Sat. Still no AF though so FX she arrives some time today. Anyone who has her, please send her my way, pretty please.

Nurse told me quickly this morning that I will be on 375IU of Puregon. WOW is what I thought, such a big difference from my first cycle which I was started on 175IU and ended on 350IU. She only told me because I commented on the amount of Puregon 900 I was given :). Lets say my little blue esky is over flowing!!!!

Just will not try and sit and wait patiently for the Nurse to call this afternoon. Hmmmm hurry up afternoon and FX an :pray: AF arrives too.

Sonya - thanks for wishes. I think you could POAS maybe 2 days before - I'm saying this with no scientific reason - just a feeling from my exp so far. I know its hard waiting - I have actually been pretty good this 2ww - but I have BT tomorrow and it is 4 days early so was not quite a 2ww after all!

Motherhood - good amount to start you on - least they have learnt something from the last round and are getting you started good and strong!

airline - you gave some good points to Sal on your last post - good work as I am sure this will helpful to many not just Sal. Glad you had a great night on Sat - I totally know what you mean about having no kids around and no one talking about it - my gosh I just can't escape it and it is terribly hard sometimes. I was going to ask how your shoes went - the things we do for fashion and to look HOT, HOT, HOT!! 12 follies is a great number for a first scan - even if they are small. You still have some growing time so don't stress!

Coral - GL for your BT & scan on Friday. How come they will BT you and not just scan for a follie check? I have only ever had a scan to check my follies

London - GL with your IVF cycle

Lise - how are you going in 2ww. I know I am very lucky to have BT early - but it is for good reason. Nurse said if it is neg tomorrow (so a 0 hormone reading) then there was def no implantation and at least that way I know and I can have a drink at my girlfriend's wedding on Sat. When is your BT again?

Mitf, Loops, Meg, juniper, Sal and all others around - hope you are doing well with whatever stage you are at - just think 2 days til the weekend - woo hoo!! :leap:

AFM - Well girls... BT tomorrow (4 days early) and I don't want to jinx myself or get you all too excited but I just don't feel quite normal today. Had a restless night sleep and bit of bloated, cramping, something feeling. But I woke feeling bit nauseas, kind of hungry feeling. Did not read too much into it - but it is still there after my usual tea and I've even had a vegemite bread roll and still feel seedy - have been to the toilet both ways so there is nothing backed up there (sorry TMI) so I dunno - could this be a sign? I guess I will know tomorrow. Am going to POAS tomorrow morning (I have 1 test left that is just out of date so I might as well use it up right!!!) then BT and I should know after lunch. I feel all the good luck & sticky vibes you are all sending me so thank you and I will be sure to use it positively! :bellyrubs:

ladies - apologies in advance for the me post.

As you may know, i'm in the 2WW with a BT scheduled for next Wednesday. I haven't really had any symptoms, other than some mild cramping (very different to usual, more like twinges, and in my lower abdomen) and sore boobs. Today i've started having my usual cramping, which is a sure sign AF is on her way. It's cycle day 25 for me, and 8 days past ET, and my usual cycle is 24-28 days. Even last stim cycle when it was cancelled hours before ET, my cycle was still only 26 days.

So i'm a bit of a wreck at the moment. I know there's a chance it might not be AF, but I really don't think so. And i'm having a crappy few days, tonight i'm flying off home to attend a funeral of a dear friend who passed away earlier this week, and DH is staying home, so I won't even see him now till Sunday. I'm at work and only just holding it together enough not to burst into tears.


Deep breaths.

Will keep you posted, and will write a proper post later on.

Lise - I am sorry to hear about the passing of your dear friend. Things like this are always difficult to deal with but only add more stress and anxiety to the difficulty of the TWW. On my last IVF I had a chemical pregnancy where the little embie tried to implant but unfortunately did not stick. As the embie tried to implant I experienced cramping that was different to the usual AF. Only you know what is normal for your body but I hope you can try and stay a little positive and hope that it is not AF cramping, rather implantation cramping.

My thoughts are with you as you travel to attend the funeral and FX that next week will bring you some good news. :hug:

Lise ~ so sorry about your dear friend passing - death is so hard especially when the person is too young to go. I know what its like to lose someone like that. My thoughts are with you :comfort:. And all the best that its implantation not AF - FX

Sonyalouise ~ thanks for asking about the tractor, sadly no enquiries at this stage. GL and stickyvibes, I think its up to the individual whether they want to POAS - some do and others don't but if you're not on Pregnyl you probably wont get a false positive - so you could. Then again it might be too early. GL whatever you decide.

melttc ~ Good luck for Monday - those follies sound excellent. GL for a great EPU - FX

MELTTC - great no.s ...even if you needed to photograph the evidence!! love your work! my memory's attrocious because DH's is sooo good and I get lazy. Your EPU is 2 days before mine...whoo hoo eh??!!:dance:

SONYA - not sure about the heat pack either...I know baths are to be avoided after transfer incase of infection etc. but my (see above!) bad memory seems to think that you should avoid hot water bottles/electric blankets etc leading up to EPU. without getting off my arse and checking my paperwork :redface: I can't be sure!

Re. the POAS..I'm sure I've read of people peeing every other day from quite early on to see if line goes darker or not. I resisted last time...but once we were told it was positive via BT (albeit low figures) I POAS just because I could and saw it go +ve for first time in my life. It was a nice feeling;)

MOTHERHOOD - yeh lots of :dance: for you with your overflowing esky. It's good they've increased your dose if that was your preference. My clinic never increases dosage during cycle so this time I made sure it was where we wanted it, but still in a safe limit fx. Now unless you're posting right now..and I know MITF and a couple of others are on at the mo..... you've not had your phonecall. will wait and see later

NIX - ooooohhhhh the excitement's building....the computers around the country are quivering waiting to hear your news soon!!:D fx it's all gonna be +ve all the way! Quick question, I must've missed it in a previous post, but why is BT 4 days early?

LISE - :hug::hug: so sorry to hear about your friend. sometimes you just can't justify what goes on in life hey? look at what we're all having to do. Not having DH must be just awful...sorry I may be making you feel worse reading it back. Chin up, and come and tell us later how you're feeling. Take care dolly.

AFM - well no phonecall re. yesterdays BT which is a good sign (there are a couple where they'll only call if a problem). Another BT today, and scan with BT tomorrow. Think DH will have to miss tom's. Wow, just realised tom is fri and EPU is Wed. Starting to get a little stressed but trying to remain calm...one day at a time.

Yay, she is here so full steam ahead and on track to start my FSH on Sat. Nurse confirmed again that my dose will be 375IU (Hello hormones!!!) with a BT scheduled for next Tues.

Have put DH on notice about the high FSH dose and unlike last time where I didnt really feel a thing the whole time nor was I really moody etc, this time might be different lol. We will wait and see hey.

sonyalouise- I hope all is going well for you, I had my BT 14 days after EPU so ended up being only 10 days or something after ET. SO I would think you should be able to POAS around then? I know I would be lol, but I cant help myself. FX for you & I hope this is your month

airline -your w/e sounds fabulous, so glad you got some time away from even having to think about ttc. It certainly helps huh. Sounds like your u/s went well, 12 follies is great, more than Ive had. FX they keep growing well now

Sal- welcome and GL. The girls here have been such a great support to my sofar through my IVF journey. I hope yours is a short one

Everyone else- Im sorry if I havnt posted to you personally, but I hope all your cycles are going along well and have FX for some BFP's before this month is over

AFM-life has been a little flat out, but in a good way, I havnt had to much time to contemplate whats going on IVF wise. Overall I feel much calmer about it this round, I guess knowing what to expect really helps a lot too.
Im up to day 3 of gonal-F injections, so far no real s/e:dance:
The only thing Im finding challenging atm is trying to make plans for the next few weeks and not know when EPU & ET are going to be, Im having to make lots of tentative plans, I hate having to cancel things.
BT & US next Tuesday so guess I will get some idea then as to whats happening, Im anticipating EPU will be towards the end of next week or next w/e even

Airline, Motherhood and Tracy ~ So glad things are moving along for you and getting exciting. All the best for your cycles and EPU's coming up, I hope you all get BFP's ASAP - FX and :bluedust::pink-babydust:

AFM ~ I think im in natural TWW but I do have slight headache which is usually a bad sign. Im at about CD26, usually my cycles are long like 32 +. I've had weird feeling BB's though - not sore sore but a little and weird occasional stabbing type pain - probably just the cold weather. Im not getting any hopes up again.

airline - OMG.... 12 follies! That is a fantastic result - well done! :crossfingers: that those few that are lagging catch up before EPU. So not long for us both now - yay! Good Luck for your scan and BT tomorrow! Lets hope it is great results all round for us!

In answer to your question, my FS is only doing one scan for me as he is fairly confident that I will have good results based on last EPU (19 eggs: 6 not mature, 13 fertilised with 10 dividing normally - although a good result.... I lost 1 on day 2 and then 6 on day 5). So I only hope my FS is correct in his thinking as I am a little apprehensive about the 1st and only scan tomorrow!

melttc - Thank you for the good luck vibes for my scan and BT tomorrow! I am so glad that you asked your FS about the CM as I started to experience the same thing this morning! I was so relieved to read your post so thank you!

Sorry, I can be a bit daft sometimes... is that Monday, 19 or Monday, 26 that your EPU is booked for?

sonyalouise - Sorry I can't answer your question about POAS'ing as I don't know the answer.... I am always scared to do one and find that I don't even want to go to the clinic for the BT either as I like to keep the dream going, he, he!

Nix76 - Thanks for the good luck vibes! I think that they test to check estragon levels to make sure that there is no danger of developing OHSS. When I called the other day, the nurse told me that a reading of 3,000 on a day 6 BT warrants concern and will be monitored closely. If the reading spikes to much, then they may not do an ET or if it is really, really bad than no EPU as well! I was at 1,000 which was only a little bit high so - yay!

Ohhhh.... It is sounding positive Nix - yay! Lots and lots of :stickyvibesgirl: for you also and I will be watching BB with baited breath tomorrow! I pray that you get your long awaited BFP!

lise - I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend :hug:. It is a difficult thing to deal with and I have fortunately only been in the same situation once. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time....

Try not to worry about the cramping too much (I know it is almost impossible!) as when I went in for my last BT, my nurse even made a comment that most girls that get a BFP say that they have had cramping just like AF and swear that she is coming any day now.... Sending lots of :stickyvibesgirl: your way and I pray that it is implantation cramps you are feeling.

Tracy - Thank you for the well wishes... I know how you feel about having to schedule plans around the IVF and not knowing if you can lock anything in - it is very annoying! I just had to forfeit 2 x flights to my cousin's wedding in Newcastle as it will be day 5 past ET and both my FS and acupuncturist were not to keen on the idea! Oh well... the things we do!

Loops - You never know! :crossfingers: for a natural BFP!

AFM - One more sleep to scan and BT and only 4 more sleeps to EPU (well, I hope so anyway!).

just noticed another thing different between me and others and forgot to ask in last post ....I get my 'plan' from clinic and it gives me all dates for synarel, gonal f injections, bts, scans etc but it also gives me the EPU and ET date from the beginning. the only date missing is the AF day 1. hmmmm interesting.

Lise I'm so sorry to hear about your friend passing away. There is never anything great to say at moments like this but I hope you get through your weekend OK. Hopefully you will get some good news next week that will make things a bit better. I think we all get different symptoms or (as I am told from my nurse) some get no symptoms, so its hard to know what your feelings all mean. Just keep looking after yourself expecially at this really hard time.

I'm still lurking and wishing you all the best! I'm flat out this week trying to get a report finished for tomorrow (hence me still working at 10pm tonight :rolleyes:) so havng trouble absorbing your posts to be honest... :redface:

We're trying to catch the egg again this month and rapidly approaching my normal O time, so will have to take a break soon to spend some time with DH before he goes to bed... ;)
