Where did all those question marks come from in my post? I swear they weren't there before!!!
Tracy - meant to say that i'll have my fingers crossed for you also on regards to your job application. IVF is hard enough as it is without having to worry about job issues. When are you likely to find out?

Emerald Star, I've read recently that it takes a couple of days for the hcg level in your urine to catch up with the hcg level in your blood. This would explain why your tests are getting darker - it's the hcg from the pregnyl entering your urine. I have also heard of women getting +hpt's after a m/c after their blood hcg level has reached 0, so it takes a couple of days to catch up in either direction...
Also, that 1000iu/day rule of thumb only works for full dose (ie 10000iu) doses. What actually happens is that the hcg level halves every 24 (or so) hours. Five days sounds about right for one of the booster shots. Although it could possibly take a day or two more if your body metabolises it slowly...
I know it's hard, but try not to test again until the booster shot would be gone - it's only going to mess with your head. Just do what you can to relax and give that little bean (or is it beans?) every chance to settle in to it's new home for a 9 month stay...

Coral 73- Hope your follies are making themselves known and expanding by the minute!!!
Tracey- Hope that AF arrives properly this weekend! I have done the same thing with HPT?s. As soon as AF doesn?t arrive when it should I get out the HPT. I even made sure I had two different brands just in case one wasn?t sensitive enough.
Emerald- I understand completely about the POAS but you need to try and take a whole 48 hours off before trying it again, it will be much better for you in the long run. I did the same as you when I was on pregnyl for the iui. It was reinforced to me that it will take 5-7 days after the last injection before it is out of your system. I know how difficult it is with everyone telling you that shouldn?t test, and you can?t help yourself.
I hope you are able to have a good weekend despite this stress.
Lise- the question marks appear instead of punctuation such as apostrophes.
AFM- Just about to head off to Acupuncture, transfer is at 12.30. I haven?t heard anything about fertilization so I am hoping that is a good thing. Will catch up with you all when I get back this afternoon.
-
Emerald Star - hope you're feeling a little better about everything today.
sonyalouise - how did you go today??? Was thinking of you earlier with my fingers crossed :)
Hope everyone is enjoying the gorgeous sunshine, well hope you all HAVE gorgeous sunshine! I'm going to take full advantage and go sit in the sun with a book. DH is being lovely and cleaning the shower for me, yay!
Actually, a little question, which is kind of embarrasing and hopefully not TMI for you all...
DH and I haven't DTD for a little while now, and now that we're past the ET i'm more than happy for things to continue as usual. Trouble is, DH is worried about 'doing some damage'. Has anyone else experienced this? I feel a bit of a role reversal here and it's kind of strange and i'm not sure what to do
-
Coral ~ thanks hun. Hope your ovaries are hard at work. GL
Tracy ~ GL with the job. If its meant to be it will happen. All the best
Emerald ~ not sure but sorry its sending you in sane, hang in there! FX for you xo
Sonyalouise ~ Hope all went well today, thinking of you. FX xo
Lise ~ DTD is fine couple of days after transfer. I think some FS even say do it as much as possible dont they? Have fun.
Hi to everyone else
-
Hi girls,
I agree Lise the sunshine is fabulous, I have just come inside because I was a little warm.
Lise- I think you should just convince him that its ok!! because it is. It is very nice that you have a DH who feels that way.
The transfer went very well, we had some great results, of the 11 eggs, 10 fertilised and 7 were viable! We had two grade two embryos that were 4 cells transferred and we now have 5 snowbubs.
I guess I am supposed to go to the two week wait forum now which is a bit sad, but exciting as well.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
-
Lise - thanks for the support. I hope your AF doesn't show up and you get to POAS and see your BFP!! ;)
Tracy - thanks and hugs to you!!
Juniper76 - Your knowledge and explanation was of great assistance thanks hon!!
Loops12 - thanks for your thoughts too...(( hugs)).
sonyalouise - Great result!!! welcome to the 2WW and i hope tgis one is the one for you...
AFM - well..i did another HPT and this time NEGATIVE.... I am ruling this cycle out already as i have absolutely no symptoms...in light of all this i think i actually like being a serial POAS'er...keeps some of the excitement during the boring 2WW....i know all pregnancies are different and not everyone experiences symptoms...but haven't you ever heard people who are pregnant say "oh, i JUST KNEW" or "i felt different" or "i had these symptoms" etc etc....well i've got none of that...so probably now getting my head around cycle #3!!
To everyone else who is waiting for their results this month...:stickyvibesgirl: and lets get some names on the October Wall of Fame!!
-
Emerald-((hugs)) to you, dont rule it out hun, just try not to do your head in over while waiting for your BT
Lise & Loops- thanx so much for your good wishes about the job, there was no closing date, so no idea when I will find out *sigh* I can't help but think its bad timing, but then I have put off changing jobs for months thinking its bad timing & as you said Loops if its meant to be it will be
Sonyalouise-sounds like your ET went fabulously, I have everything crossed for you
-
Emerald Star, no probs. :) Lol, I've had so many cycles where I "just knew" or "felt different"!! I was only right about it once though! However, there were a couple of things that were different last cycle, so guess what I'll be obsessing over from now on...

Hi Ladies,
I hope this finds everyone well and happy!
Sonyalouise- Wow. wow, wow! I am so impressed with your amazing egg number and then to have 7 fertilise- congratulations ! I have everything crossed for you.
To answer your question regarding dose, I?m on 150IU of Gonal-F, which I think is pretty standard?? What were you on?
Airline- thanks for the tip on the icepack- that?s a great idea. So far I?ve been fine with the Gonal injections but I?m a bit more apprehensive about the antagonist, being a proper syringe and all, so I will definitely numb the area.
I?ve also got a needle phobic DH on my hands so he won?t be of any use to me- he can?t even stand being in the same room! As I'm sure you will appreciate, I have been poked and prodded and had things shoved in unmentionable places through all this and my DH has had just two blood tests. The ladies at the pathologists have shown no concern for me whenever I?ve fronted up but DH got a lollipop the first time and a sticker saying, ?I?ve been brave today? the second time!!! Anyway...
AFM- I?m on day 4 of Gonal-F and so far so good. I?m a little headachy and a bit bloated but nothing too bad. Just really hoping to get reassurance that everything is going to plan when I visit the FS on Tuesday for a scan.
Again, I hope everyone is well and enjoying their Sunday. I'm spending mine doing uni work and planning to go out for dinner to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and DH's birthday.
Meg. xx

Hi Ladies
Emerald star ~ I would wait until your BT on Tuesday before confirming your result...till then I have my FX for you!:pink-babydust:
Tracy ~ GL with the job application ? perhaps it will take your mind off TTC just a little. Hope AF visits this weekend so you can get started on your next cycle ? hope this is the one for you!
Sonjalouise ~ Wow what a great result ? two quality embies on board and 5 snow bubs...FX this cycle brings you a BFP and hopefully you won?t need your snow bubs for a while yet! GL with the TWW ? lots of :bluedust: and :stickyvibesboy:!
Lise and Nix ~ I hope you are both relaxing and not too anxious during the TWW! Thinking of you both.
Airline ~ Hope you are travelling well in your cycle ? sniffing and injecting....sounds exactly like what I am doing at the moment! I don?t think I could inject myself in public so well done too you!
MotherhoodhereIcome ~ GL with IVF ICSI PGD cycle #2 ? hope this is the one!!
Coral ~ Hope you are going well in your cycle - Be sure to take care of yourself especially as you are already feeling bloated ? drink lots of fluid. On day 6, I felt as though I had a permanent stitch and then I increased my fluid intake and felt fine ever since. GL with the BT tomorrow!
Mitf ~ GL with the FET cycle...when are you scheduled for the ET?
Loops ~ sorry no one I know needs a tractor ? but hope you have a speedy sale so you can complete another cycle before the end of the year.
Meg ~ Glad to hear your cycle is going well so far....GL with your scan and I hope you have lots of big follies growing! Happy 5th wedding anniversary - hope you both have a lovely night.
Anyone else I have missed ? hello and hope you are all well!
AFM: I have a second scan on Monday ? this will decide if I have an EPU on Wednesday or Friday. I would prefer if it were Friday that way I can take the day off and have the weekend to recover.
I was wondering if the changes to the medicare safety net (for IVF treatment) will come into effect on the 1st of Jan 2010? I have searched on the internet and I have yet to find anything that confirms this change. All the reports I have read state ?proposed? changes???
Also when I injected myself on Thursday, after I removed the needle some of the FSH (in my case puregin) came running out where I had injected myself (sorry TMI I know). Has this ever happened to anyone? I don?t think I left the needle in long enough...I am so eager to get it over and done with quickly.

Mel, the Medicare Safety Net changes were approved by the Senate last month. Check out the thread here:
http://forums.bellybelly.com.au/foru...f-art-2-a.html
I don't believe details of the final caps have been released yet.
*edit*
Had a look after posting and looks like the caps have been published:

juniper ~ thanks for providing the link...as this is my first IVF cycle I am just getting my head around the medicare safety net and it's benefits. I think I have a bit of catching up to do to understand the full impact of these changes.

Mel - Quick answer to your earlier post. Yeah my first FSH Puregon Injection did the same thing but was just a little drop that came out. Im sure all will be ok, just if you can, leave it in just that little bit longer from now on!!!! :)
Hope everyone is well!!!
-
Just poking my head in quickly to let you know AF is in the house. Didnt come properly til tonight so CD1 will officially be tomorrow, so I start jabbing on Tuesday.
Game on!!
-
Ladies again I want to really apologise for the no personals and that my last few emails have been about ME!!
I just had to tell someone as i haven't even told DH yet!!!
I AM BACK IN THE GAME !!!!!!
Did another HPT this afternoon wasn't even my FMU and guess what ???
If you hold it on a certain angle in the natural light outside and squint with your third eye...there it is! a faint faint faint BFP!!
I am excited but until i get beta numbers tomorrow, i'm trying not to get tooo over excited, ( ok that bit was a lie). Last time we ended up with a chemical so fingers crossed this one is it!! :leap:
I also mentioned in my last post that i have absolutely no symptoms...well in hindsight there was one...I was feeling a bit more tired than usual...but i had been staying up later than usual and i have had to also do DH's chores around the house as he has been helping with renovations at In Laws....so i put it down to that..but now i think maybe its a symptom!!
I'll keep you posted tomorrow.
-
Oh Emerald you are funny! I hope that is a good true sign! I'm really tired and grumpy today and other than a little crapming for the 2 days after transfer I just don't feel anything. So Of course as we do - I read into what you wrote and am hoping maybe that is a positive sign for me too!
Oh well 4 sleeps til I get some sort of reliable indication.
Sorry girls no personals - but I hope you are ll doing well of course.
xx

Hi Nix76 - Amazing how things can turn...i may be celebrating too early, but it feels good! The only things I did differently this time was i ate more protein, allowed some diet drinks in my diet and (naughty naughty me, but i snuck in a couple of ciggie drags - don't judge me please, on a girls nite out and didn't want some people to know we were TTC) other than that ate my rare steaks, philadelphia cream cheese, smoked salmon, and oysters, which my FS said as long as you don't feel sick eat what you eat normally, so i did! I thnk the harder you try and change everything that you do normally must shock your system....First time round i was sooo watching what i ate and did this time i was a bit more relaxed...hopefully it worked!
