:hooray: Melly! That's awesome news
Melissal - if you go to user control panel and scroll down the options down the left hand side, there's a link to change username. You put in your request there, and when admin have time they will approve it for you.
Hope tomorrow goes smoothly for you kmm :goodluck:
The name was supposed to be an April Fool's joke... hmmmm, maybe i'll keep it
Hi girls
marcy - you have to keep it! lol
GL for tomorrow kmm
melissa - I know what you mean about feeling bad about how sensitive we get. I was dreading a really good friend's baby shower last Saturday and ultimately I legitimately "got out of it" because of the EPU on Friday and the OHSS, but I felt horrible for not going. I'm so glad you are feeling good about being back on the ttc wagon... when you know its unlikely a natural miracle will occur its hard to not feel useless isn't it? :( about working nights :(
oh and thanks for the congrats. we are now looking at the cost of freezing and trying to work out where we can move some money from! does anyone know if there's any rebate from medicare for freezing?
Hi Ladies,
Mellybelly81, With my clinic the cost for freezing is $150 every six months and I don't get anything back from medicare.
To be honest with you I am really annoyed that the Government changed Medicare. Because of the changes I can no longer afford to do any more Fresh IVF cycles. I have a few eggs in storage and once they're finished that's it for me. :(
AFM I have transfer tommorrow :) so hears hoping that the Prednisolone/Clexane and Cartia will do the trick. I think I am on the maximum things you can take to try to get pregnant.
Have a Happy Easter everyone and good luck everyone.
danyelle: good luck chick fx this is it for you hopefully the easter bunny delivers the right kind of egg.
Melly: woohoo fx
Mel: Hope your feeling hepas more energetic soon.
Hello to everyone I have forgotten memory not so good this week I have cow and calf numbers running through it which is good means the 16th will be here before we know it. looking forward to my two days off. and the end of daylight savings.
Just q quick question when taking the pregnyl injections what sort of side effects can you have? the psychologist said that I should have too many problems cause I really only had hot flushes with the clomid but my body is very weird so just wondering what everyone else experienced?
Trueblue, With Pregnyl for me the side effects are the sore boobs and cramping, so basically the pregnancy signs but after 15 months I have now learnt not to get my hopes up and just wait till the pregnancy blood tests.
Hi ladies
Just a quick one to say HAPPY EASTER. Im at work today and tomorrow but looking forward to Sun/Mon off. Thats the trouble with Tourism its our busy time and oh boy has it been busy!
Hope everyone has a great Easter and stay safe and well.
GL to everyone with all stages of the TTC journey!
Melissa ~ FX hun! Good luck sweetie
Trueblue ~ hi hun. Pregnyl gives lots of preg symptoms such as sore boobs esp and perhaps nausea. Maybe headaches. Try not to worry though, just be excited your on your way. Will be thinking of you chicky - all the best.
AFM ~ havent got BT results yet or AF, probably because its good Friday but my nurse said she will more than likely call me Sat (tomorrow). I have a lot of CM at the moment so maybe AF is coming late though or perhaps Im ovulating. My body has been so all over the place lately I dunno where Im up to.
Thanks for all your thoughts and wishes everyone xo
Hi all
Happy Easter. Just a quick note to say how proud i am of myself. My family have come up to visit us this week end. Included in this family is my 18yr old brother and his 19yr old girlfriend who has a four 1/2 month old baby girl (which is not my brothers). She is beautiful but it is so hard watching them together. They are staying with us as well, but i have just done the lunchtime feed and changed the poo nappy and put her to bed. It is hard because Lucy (the mum) is so unsure what to do still and when to do it. I think it is a good thing for me to have to suck it up! Sorry had to rant to you guys cause i can't to the fam!!!
good luck today Danyelle. fingers crossed for you. well done Renee it's tough when you're in that boat. I had my pick up this morning & it wasn't anything like my last pick up, which was nice. I had eleven eggs. more than I've had before. good luck everybody. x
Happy Easter to everyone cycling!
Just a quick post today.
First up, big shout out to m2b. Lunch last week was great. Hi to Juniper, too. We should all aim to catch up somewhere that suits us all soon.
I totally agree with the comments about how tired you get doing a HRT FET. I had all these plans for the work I wanted to get done over Easter, and so far we've done nothing more than see a couple of movies
Congrats to those ladies who have had their EPUs. Any embies frozen is great, so well done!
AFM, for those who remember, I had my HSG a little over a week ago. As suspected, there were no blockages. It wasn't the dye they used first that was too bad, it was the lipiodol that followed. I felt blown up like a balloon. Little barbaric that they put a canula in beforehand for pain relief if I needed it - um, yes! - but if I took it I'd have to stay in the hospital for an hour afterwards! We have our ET tomorrow, yep, Easter Monday at 7 am! So early considering everything our FS wants us to do about 2-3 hours beforehand, if you get my drift ... The scientists have taken two snowbubs out and in their words they are `goodlooking'. Must take after their mother! :D
Enjoy eating guilt-free chocolate; it is Easter after all!
Hi Ladies,
Brunette: Good luck with your transfer on Monday
kmn: Excellent results - 11 eggs :)
Renee: Wow, I am so proud of you. I don't know how I would react in that situation.
Loops12: How are you going ? did you get the results back from Blood test ?
Had my transfer yesterday, 1 x 7 cell and 1 x 9 cell (Day 3 Embryo's). Everything went well. My Dr asked me have I had any side effects from the prednisolone and I told her nothing but My cough that I had for the last 8 months has gone.
To all you lovely ladies, Have a lovely day with your family.
Happy Easter ladies..
Brunette – I have my fingers crossed for your tfr on Monday. How many days are your snowbubs?
KMM – That is an Eggcellent result!!!! (sorry  Dorky sense of humour) I hope you are feeling good and I’m glad to hear that your experience was better than last time. What was different from last time? I was sedated on my first EPU. My new clinic does not sedate you so I am curious as to how different the experience will be.
Renee – I feel for you. I too am surrounded by babies and am asked often “Aren’t you feeling clucky?”. Sometimes I just come out and tell people we are trying which pretty much keeps them from asking again and other times I just can’t be bothered. Good on you for taking charge
Loops – How did you go with your BT’s?
Danyelle – Well done for your transfer. Those embies sound terrific.
True blue – I haven’t had pregnyl but have found other meds to have varying effects. Mainly mood swings and tiredness but the mood swings are probably more to do with this rollercoaster that we are all on.
Trubabe – Did you manage to catch up with your Mum? I hope she is doing OK. How are you recovering from your lap? What a couple of full on months you have had. My thoughts are with you.
Mellybelly – 6 is wonderful. Especially being Day 6!!.
Juniper – How are you feeling? What is your next step?
Mum to be – Hope your appointment goes well on Wednesday. I suppose too it might depend as to whether you will require a medicated FET. If it turns out you do have to wait (which I know many clinics are in favour of)there are some positives as travelling on a work schedule and trying to work around it may be quite stressful. (Although I know exactly how frustrating it is to have to take time off TTC, believe me.)
Marcellus (or is it MMATFB?) – How are you travelling. Where are you up to?
Lairdoz – When is your FET scheduled for? That sounds like a good plan (twins is a little bit daunting) and it is important to be comfortable with your decision.
Mumwannabe – I have my fingers and toes crossed for you that your little embie is a sticky one. I have read many success stories on Day 3 embies. Please don’t give up hope.
I can’t really help with your question but I had 12 eggs at EPU with low fertilisation rate (7) and 1 x Day2 ET and 1 x Day 3 FET. I was at risk of OHSS (levels to 15,000+) My new FS is aiming for less eggs at EPU but of better quality with a higher fertilisation rate. I am taking vitamins and have DH on menevit and am considering ICSI. Am considering accupuncture also but am not sure if that will do anything in that department. My FS is supportive in regard to accupuncture but not in regard to herbs as they could interfere with other medication I am on, I feel the same way.
JBM – GL for next week. It is exciting to be starting a cycle, one step futher in your journey to acheive your dream.
Melissal – Fingers crossed for your little embie. Hopefully the meds are easing your stress in regard to timing.
Mollygirl – Hope you have a safe and Happy Easter.
To anyone I’ve missed...:hello:
AFM – Am still crazy tired with meds, and well just plain crazy (DH is getting a sneak preview of Menopause – lucky him!) Going for Monthly shot#2 next week. Two more months of this to go before starting a fresh cycle. It is sooooo frustrating.
Wishing you all a wonderful and safe Easter and that ALL your eggies (chocolate and otherwise) are plentiful and of great quality!
I haven't seen any babydust in here for a while... so here is my Easter gift to you all...
:bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust:
hi Everyone, hope you are having a lovely Easter.
tantee - I'm not sure what was different really. I did have gonal f instead of puregon (and a higher dose). I had more follicles and eggs. I mentiond to FS when he asked how I recovered last time that I felt horrible post pick up. He explained that it was a fine line. this time I did 'feel' more of the procedure, but it definately wasn't unbearable. and when it was all done I was sitting up with a cup of tea. the recovery nurse said it is not uncommon for each cycle to be different. fingers crossed that you too will have a better time next time around.
in advance I'm sorry I have my miserable pants on. I just had a call from the clinic and sadly only two of eleven eggs have fertilised. after having icsi again we are really disappointed. I can't help but feel quite negative about the success of this cycle. to think all of this could have been for nothing again. the clinic said they may look at a day three transfer. I wonder if anybody had any advice re day three, if you were in my situation and had two doubtful day three embryos would you transfer both, if you knew they were unlikely to make it to day five?
to everybody I have missed, I'm wishing you the very very very best of luck. we haven't told family or friends so it's nice to be able to off load to understanding ears. thank you. x
hi guys
i just don't seem to be getting the time to get on here lately, now it is getting closer to the time for me to start my 2nd full stim cycle IVF/ ICSI, when i need to be on here, i am just so busy.
nothing new happening ATM. not long now til things start happening.
phoning clinic on tue to organise syneral
then we're off
Hey kmn
Honey, I only ever transfer day 3's.
Have a read of the quotes from my thread of some very happy Day 3 Transfer.
You can find all this information in my Thread, so when you have a chance grab a cuppa and have a read.
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...fferently.html
This is from Dusty but I am sure she would not mind me putting this up for you to read. Dusty is now 23 weeks pregnant. After TTC for 5 years
This is from HollyBolly Who is currently 32 weeks pregnant:
This is from Smithy who now has a beautiful little girl called Charlie
Hope this helps you. :)
Danyelle, Best of luck for your TWW. Hope the time flies and you get a nice big BFP at the end of it! I'll chat to you soon, no doubt, in the TWW thread ;)
Hi Tantee, we thawed two 3-day 8-cell snowbubs Sat morning. They are both growing within normal paramters, so FX. Can I ask why you have to wait two more months before your next stim, and what shot you have to take per month? I empathise with the `clucky' comments you're getting. As much as I want a child, it doesn't mean I want to hold everyone else's! And I don't know about you, but I detest the word `clucky' - hate it.
Kmm, hang in there. My DH and I have had three stim cycles, and our egg quality and quality have improved with each cycle. Keep your chin up. Re whether to transfer doubful day 3s or wait it out till day 5, that's a hard and very personal decision. Whatever you choose, it will be the right decision for you. On our first stim, we were having a day 5 transfer but our embies were only at compacting and morula. We did the transfer but no good. For our second cycle, our FS decided on a day 3 transfer - two good-quality embies but no good. For our third cycle, I wanted to see a blasty as I was very concerned about whether we had a genetic problem that meant our embies weren't getting to blasty stage, so against my FS's advice I kept more embies out and we got 6 blasties. I was so happy. Now unfortunately blasties are great on a fresh transfer but no-one wants them on a frozen cycle, but you know what, I am still happy with my decision because I needed to know that our embies could make it to blasty stage. Sorry if I'm rambling but I suppose what I'm trying to say is whatever you and your DH decides, it is your decision and therefore it is the right decision. GL and hang in there!
brunette & danyelle. thank you. I've had a rough day but just reading your posts has given me a lift. I will spend the morning tomorrow reading the threads. thanks again, I really appreciate your advice/info. x
Hey chicks, hoping you are all having a fantastic Easter while I am slogging my guts out at work (:lol::lol: you can see how hard I am working seeing I'm at work and posting!!!)
KMM - chin up sweetie, I have everything crossed that those two little embies are gonna be THE ones for you. We had 4 embies from 13 eggs which we were prety gutted about as well. My clinic really only seems to do three day transfers and they have pretty darn good success rates as well. I think they look at in that we should aim for blasty but in reality, they will transfer at 3 days and see how the remainder get on before freezing at whatever point. So what I am trying to say is that nothing wrong with a three day transfer. Sending you a huge hug, these girls have been my lifesavers when it cmes to offloading and am really that that you have found them so that you too can have the lifeline and knowledge too.
Renee - WOW hun, you are so much stronger than me. Am very impressed. I am tending to sick my head in the sand and do that la-la-la-la-I-can't-hear-you thing when it comes to other peoples' babies atm which I know is selfish but its all about self-preservation ,right?
Loops - thats something I never really thought about of your situation - where the hell are you in your cycle now? Here's hoping AF actually makes a semi-welcome appearance so at least you know where you are. Did your nurse ting back? Our clinic rang work today to get another persons result and I was the only one on so answered the phone. I think we both felt kind of awkward as in do we completely maintain professional efficiency or what? Very strange :o
JBM - YAY for synarel!!!
Danyelle - woohoo for your embies!! Wishing you all the best for your 2ww and hope you have an awesome outcome ;)
Tantee - right back at you re your Easter pressie to everyone!! Hope your energy levels kick start themselves pretty quick, had to laugh at your DH having a taste of what menopause will be like!!
Brunette - good luck for tomorrow hun, I will be about a week behind you. Glad your litle snowbubs did their bits and thawed out ok. Thanks for saying about them already being out of the freezer- I have been wondering how far in advance of transfer you actually know if they are ok or not. Do they take them out the day before or something?
Trueblue - hoping those nasty side effects stay away and hot flushes are all yo uhave to deal with
Marcellus - awwww I kinda liked that user name!!! Thanks, now I need to think up something nice and original for me ;)
Me - woke up this morning with a charming hormonal migraine. Nice - NOT!! So I spent half the day in bed, then had to drag myself to work, yuck. Thankfully, the tum has settled somewhat but still just sticking to toast for dinner tonight I think. Damn things, the only time I seem to get them lately is when I am on fert drugs. Oh well, the things we do, huh? Has anyone else had osteopathy recommended as an alternative treatment during ivf? I'm already doing acupuncture, my guy said the name of a massage therapist so will do that and he also mentioned seeing an osteopath. If its going to help, that is good and I'll try it but if is a long shot, its kind of a lot of money to be throwing around if it isn;t going o make any difference iykwim
