K - I'd be pretty happy with 9 eggs. I am def not as clued up as some of the girls in here but I don't think that all follicles have eggs or if they did, the eggs may not have been mature enough. I had about 20 follies with only 12 retrieved to give you some perspective. Hope you are doing ok

Just got the call from FC. Of the 9 eggs removed, 7 have fertilised. Now just have to wait til Monday to make sure they keep on growing correctly. Fingers crossed, I hope they do!! I hope you are all well...

Does anyone have any tricks with the synarel to keep the headaches at bay?
trueblue, I find its often quiet on the weekends. Sorry, I don't have any tricks for the synarel headaches. All I can suggest is the usual type of things - drink plenty of water (which you should do anyway when you start the FSH), get plenty of rest and you can try taking paracetamol or panadeine (both of those are allowed during IVF, but I find they don't help with even normal headaches for me). The only solace I can offer is that it will go away when you stop taking the synarel and you only have to take it for a limited time. I had terrible s/e from the synarel for my first IVF cycle (all 32 days I was taking it :rolleyes:), so I completely sympathise. I ended up reducing my work to 3 days/week (instead of full time) because of the s/e.

Thanks juniper yes am drinking plenty of water I just keep thinking it's all worth it all this stuff to get to our end result.

My hcg is 3163. Twins? It was a FET so hard to work out exactly and haven't seen FS but I'm about 18DPO or 19DPO.

AFM still on the meds and waiting for scan on Sat and then to get date for FET.... I'm getting nervous now - I hate the TWW - at least prior you feel you are doing something!

Trueblue - p!ss to the headaches. Mine aren't synarel, they are progynova ones and I feel your pain quite literally. I'm over them!!! The things we do, huh?

I had a horribly daunting phonecall today. I had to ring to make a followup appt with my FS today if this cycle is a flop. I can't get in for an appointment until the end of JUNE???? If we have to do another stim cycle, there is about a 3 month wait so that would mean that would take us to about the beginning of October to start the pill and we are planning on buggering off to Germany for Christmas which we are definitely doing if this cycle doesn't work so it looks like this FET is it for us this year. No babies until at least next year that would mean. Next year feels like a very long time away. But we need to be away for Xmas, self preservation and all that.
Melissa - that is aweful such a long wait. Why?
What do you do during the TWW, and after the FET - are you supposed to rest, relax? do anything? do nothing? I think my husband wants to put me on bed rest for two weeks, but I think I'll go mad if I have to sit at home thinking about it the whole time! How do you get through it?

AFM - Still waiting for my AF to start so I can start my FET after a months break. Laying low-ish in here enjoying some time off from TTC after four months back to back IVF and being able to have fun during some very important birthdays in my family! Hope you ladies are doing well and hope some see some more BFP's before I am back in here again!

Melissal, that's terrible that you'd have to wait so long! I thought it was bad when I had to wait a month... Your Christmas trip sounds awesome though! I wish we had something like that planned.
trueblue, yep, was completely over it, especially since I couldn't drive because one of the s/e was dizziness and I kept feeling like I was veering off the road.
Hi guys, firstly congrats to CK 77 and Brunette! Great news! You must be over the moon.
I had my EPU on Friday and they got 9 eggs, of those7 fertilised. Had the update call today that I was sweating over and all 7 have split 6-8 which is great news. Now just have to wait for Wednesday to see how many make it to blasto. Fingers crossed for all of them! I started the Crinone gel (twice daily) yesterday and I worry that it doesn't "get up"(!@??) to where it has to? It's kind of an akward medication isn't it? :-)
Also, I am so bloated and constipated! I look 6 months pregnant (I wish!!). Is it normal to still be so bloated at this stage? After EPU on Friday, I haven't done my excercise as my tummy is still a bit sore and I am SO tired...

K78 - things look good for you. I think a bit of bloating is normal after the EPU - I didn't realise that they don't take the whole "egg" out. They leave the "shell" in and only take the insides of the egg (like an egg white and yolk) The remainng shell then fills up with blood and has to get absorbed by the body. Your hormones will keep the shells growing a bit until your body absorbs them. This can take a while to settle. Eat lots of egg whites and chicken breats (protein and lots of it), lots of water too! This will help the bloatedness, and help your body absorb them back into your body!

K78 - Crinone, ah how I miss thee - NOT! (TMI Warning) I'm quite sure it was getting up there, the issue I had with it was the cottage cheese-ness of it. If you even feel like DTD while you are using it (I didn't), imagine the ummm 'residue' left on DH's willy, poor thing would think he's picked up some crazy STD! I found I had daily headaches while using the Crinone. I've now gone on to Orion Pessaries, they are little cone shaped things as big as the top joint of your little finger, and you have to lay down for 30mins after inserting. I made the mistake last night of whacking it up there, layed in bed to read for a bit then needed to pee, so got up, and my undies ended up with a lovely white gel (has a bit of an oily gritty feel). It's certainly not dignified, but it's all for a reason I guess.
Hopefully you'll get good news on Wednesday and have a decent number to pop on ice. The thing that I kept saying to myself while I was in the TWW after transfer was "these little Blasties on ice, I'm not going to need them for about a year, because I'm going to get a BFP now with my lucky #1 Blastie" :crossfingers:
What date is your lucky Blastie going to be transferred to his/her home for the next 9mths?
