Miss K, I'm so sorry to hear that. We're all here for you when you need us. :grouphug:
Hi girls
Some of you might recognise me from when I popped in late last year as we were moving towards IVF. Well I took myself out of all the ttc stuff until we were ready to start otherwise I would have gone mad, but now I am here, having started synarel on Monday and I will be having my CD2 scan and BT Monday coming. All well with those tests and the puregon will start Monday night. So I'm excited and nervous about it, as I'm sure you all know what I mean.
Miss K I am so sorry to hear about your angel.
To everyone, I look forward to getting to know you and joining the support network that I have seen in here.
Mel
mellybelly ~ Welcome and goodluck with your cycle. Hope your time here is short x

Babytruj ~ welcome back and all the very best for this cycle, FX!!
AFM ~ Nup I didnt hear from the FS or nurse because apparently the report hasnt been written yet I had a bit more bleeding yestie but still feeling little niggles in the tummy and stuff so thinking positive. But at the same time not getting hopes up. I should hear on Mon from my nurse.
In the mean time its just waiting waiting waiting...
missk: i am sending you a BIG HUG, so sorry. make sure you talk about it as bottling it up makes you worse, i know. i try to be positive but it is hard sometimes. x o good luck to you for next time.
marcellus, babytruj, mum2b, renee, melttc, jilly, bj81, juniper: hi to all of you, hope all is going well

Hey hey, been very much a lurker atm with very little going on in my world.
MissK - sending you a massive big hug sweetie, I was so very sorry to hear your little bean grew wings. We'll be here for you when you are ready to talk but in the meantime, take care of yourself
Mellybelly - welcome and may your stay be short and sweet. Exciting and scary is about right but you'll be fine - you're in a great place here. They have sure saved my sanity on several occasions!!! Good luck for this cycle, hoping the one is all you'll need ;)
Loops - I can't imagine what you must be going through atm. My BFN feels like SUCH a long time ago now and can't believe that you still don't know for sure one way or the other :wall:
JBM - for less than a month to go!!! Hope it goes quick!
BJ - so sorry that your wee emby didn't make the thaw. We will be doing the same thing in a month and as we only have one, I am really worried that it won't survive. Trying to be positive but what will be wll be, I guess. Hope you are doing ok
Juniper - hoping you are not feeling quite so sore now. I don;t know what would be harder, having unexplained infertility or actually having a reason for it, anywho FX that having endo removed will make a difference for you. Just out of curiousity, did you have any endo symptoms?
M2B & Melttc - good luck for the rest your tww!!
I know there are loads of people I've missed but sending out a huge HI to you all. AFM, just plodding along. I was very excited when I o'ed around about my normal time as I had visions of waiting ages and ages for it. Now all I need is AF and then we can think about our FET. If it works, thats awesome, if not, DH and I are going to plan a trip away - need something to look forward to that we can control. Until then, still trying to whip my wobbly bits into shape - started running and my thighs are SOOOOO painful. I felt so much better when I scoffed chocolate !!! Hope you all have a great weekend
Hi Everyone, after trolling through all the threads on here that were about a year old and getting caught up in everyone's stories (BFNs and BFPs) I decided to join up. I'm completely new to actually posting and replying on forums so there's a good possibility that I'll put this in the wrong spot
DH and I have been TTC for a few years now. My biological clock drove us to the Fertility Clinic where quick smart I was booked in for a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, dye test, d&c. They removed a fibroid and endo (which I didn't realise I had). Then I had a sonohistogram with DH beside me helpless as I layed there crying with the pain. Then I guess my FS couldn't see exactly what he wanted to see, so back into hospital I went, for another hysteroscopy. Phew! DH reckons I have the most expensive hoo-hoo in Brisbane!
We started on Synarel spray about 2wks ago. Didn't have any major side effects luckily although I have read on here that it really affects some people negatively.
Went back to FS yesterday on day 3 of my cycle, did an internal ultrasound, he said there were 5 follies on the left and 7 on the right. Is that good, bad, average??? He didn't really comment...
So, this Monday I start Gonal injections, he put me on 150mg (guess it's trial and error for round 1, right?).
That's where I am at, it's all new to me, and reading through these forums have certainly helped.
One question: I've read that taking the Gonal out of the fridge a 1/2 hour before injecting lessens the pain, but DH in his infinite wisdom believes that would be bad for it if I keep taking it out every morning. Your thoughts? I'm guessing if he really feels that strongly, then I'll just use Emla cream and an ice brick ;-)
I'm looking forward to following everyone's stories and sharing my journey - and if I slip up along the way and completely bugger up a post, be kind - I'm a newbie
Chrissy
Hi CK and welcome! This is certainly the right place to post! After your transfer you can then post in the 2ww (2 week wait) thread. GL and FX for a BFP!
Melissal, I've had bad period pain since my teens. Of course, as a teen they tell you it's normal. But then it got worse as I got older (which isn't normal). Add in the infertility and a few other factors and my new FS was pretty certain I had it. I'm hoping that having an answer now means we'll finally get our family started soon.
mellybelly, GL with your cycle. :goodluck:
Afm, still sore but from what I've read it could be much worse, so I'm not complaining (well, just a little, but only to get DH's attention ;)). I slept most of today and I'm a bit worried the bleeding hasn't eased up yet, but I'll give that until Monday morning (unless it gets worse, in which case I'll ring the hospital). I'm meant to be back at work on Monday, but I'll only be going if I can handle sitting in a chair for that long.
Juniper - thanks for the welcome.
I had about 3 days of heavy bleeding after my combined lap/hyst when they removed the fibroid and endo in two places, then a few days of spotting - has your bleeding been longer than that? My post-op pain lasted about 4 days all up (hurt to sit down, hurt to get up, constipated for days, hurt to cough/sneeze etc etc) - so I feel your pain, poor thing. I think I read you had yours about 3 days ago so hopefully the bleeding and pain is on the way out for you and you can get back to normal.
CK77 - I'm not sure about leaving it out (although I think it is always supposed to be below a certain temperature) - I took mine out of the fringe and did it straight way - BUT, I didn't find the Gonal injections hurt really at all. I only felt the sensation of putting the little needle in - nothing else. So maybe try it the first time straight out of the fridge - you may be surprised at how little you feel (hopefully)!!:
One question: I've read that taking the Gonal out of the fridge a 1/2 hour before injecting lessens the pain, but DH in his infinite wisdom believes that would be bad for it if I keep taking it out every morning. Your thoughts? I'm guessing if he really feels that strongly, then I'll just use Emla cream and an ice brick ;-)
Hey girls!
Glad to see everyone is holding up and not going tooo crazy :)
Loops, I woke up this morning at the crack of dawn this morning and was hit with a thunderbolt of a thought. I remembered something that happened to a girl I knew back in NZ. She had the EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS as you after a cycle and guess what it turned out to be? She had an ectopic pregnancy AND one in the womb! YES, it is possible!!! I am not sure how many embies you had put in but she had 2 and one implanted in the right place and the other was sucked into the the tube and implanted there. She had the bleeding and some pain in her shoulder and they thought it was all over. At her scan they discovered an egg sack and thought all was well. The bleeding continued and they ended up giving her a laposcropy (sp?) because they she had some other thing and thats when they discovered the ectopic. They were able to remove that and she went on to have a normal pregnancy with the other bub.
Just a thought but you never know! I am thinking of you and am getting cramps from having everything crossed so tight.
Big hugs,
Sammie
Hi ladies
JBM ~ thanks hun! Im not going to crazy now im trying to just get on with normal life at the moment because that is all I can do and just wait. Thanks for your thoughts.
Melissa ~ thank you, yep it has been ages now. I look back on everything that has happened to me and think woh. It'll be pretty hard to take in a way if this ends up being BFN - because of all we have been through. But at the same time I'll be able to look ahead and get on with normal life lol.
CK ~ :welcome: and all the best for your first IVF. Hope it works first go!! Those follies are good - Ive had about the same each time and ive had 6 fertilise. Are you having a 2, 3 or 5day transfer?
Sammie ~ thanks hun. Yeh other people have suggested could it have been multiple pregnancy. I only had the one transferred. DH jokes and says perhaps they put them all back.
Im assuming you can still get twins if you only put 1 back? There was no-sign of ectopic at all but I guess it could probably still go under the radar, I hope not. I dont feel I have ectopic anymore :dunno: Feeling a lot better and calmer now. Just have to wait and see.
Thanks everyone for getting sore fingers for us lol! Means a lot! :angelic:

HI Ladies,
Sorry am still not really up to writing persies, have had a lot of nausea which we think (hope) is from the antibiotics. Had transfer on Saturday of an AA Blasty however it got stuck in the catheter and had to be attempted a second time which has kind of freaked me out as that can't be good for the embryo.
Miss K - I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
Loops - I hope this gets resolved very soon for you!
Hi to all you other lovely ladies and apologies again for not being able to write much.
CK, thanks for that. The bleeding finally eased up a little yesterday and more today. It's good to know that's normal.
Trubabe, I'm praying that your mum's op goes well and your lap too. And I hope your DD's check up goes well. Wow, so many medical challenges to face.
Loops, any news yet?
Afm, just a little pain now, but I'm still finding sitting in a chair for too long is unpleasant so I decided not to go to work today (desk job). Other than that I feel pretty much back to normal which is good. :)
Trubabe ~ I hope everything turns out ok with all the medical stuff - you are going through a lot and I really feel for you  GL for the lap, really hope they can clear it up and you can get that BFP very soon.
Lairdoz ~ thanks hun. Not sure if the embryo can be damaged, I wouldnt think so though. Did the FS say anything about it? I can understand you being worried and so Im thinking of you - big hugs xo
I will have everything crossed for you and  Rest up and take it easy. AA blasty sounds pretty good.
Juniper ~ Im glad your pain has almost gone and you can get back to normal life stuff. FX you get a BFP very soon.
Havent heard the official results yet still. I did a clearblue digital Sat though and it came up "Pregnant" within under a min so I guess that is good. Hopefully will have another BT this week. Thanks for asking
Hi to everyone else and wishing you all the best wherever you are up to. xo
Juniper, DD is blind in her right eye from a congenital cateract that was only picked up when she was 8 and a half and other accompanying vision problems as a result. october 08 she had the cataract removed and an artificial lens implanted, though it didnt improve her vision at all.she now has clouding of the artificial lens and needs it to be cleared by laser but again it wont improve vision it just stops it causing more problems as the clouding acts like a cataract.this is her 6 monthly check up and for us to give the dr the go ahead to put her on the list for the laser capsulotomy
Hello ladies,
trubabe ~ all the best with the Lap and a speedy recovery. Also I hope it all works out for your DD and mum.
Loops ~ oooh it sounds very positive!!! My sister when she did her pregnancy tests (mind you she tried with 3 different brands just to confirm) mentioned that the pregnancy line came up straight away. When are you going to have a BT or scan to confirm?? I am so excited and anxious for you!!
juniper ~ glad to hear you are making good recovery. Take care of yourself x
Lairdoz ~ I am sure the little embie is fine. I am curious whats an "AA" blasty? When is your BT?? Hope you get well soon.
CK77 ~ :hello: and welcome to BB! All the best with your cycle. Hopefully you don't find the injections too painful. I am a real woos (sp?) when it comes to injections, but during my ivf cycle found them to be a breeze - even straight out of the fridge.
