Hi girls,

Loops - try and stay positive honey (i know that can be hard) but it is still early days like mitf said could just b a stress headache. I will have :crossfingers: that is all it is;)

Miss K - GL for today hope you have a beautiful embie to put back in. Sending :stickyvibesgirl:your way. Take it easy for the next couple of days. I totally agree about crinone, i started mine today and forgot how awful the stuff is:D

Laridoz - I hope you are feeling a little better, GL for your BT :crossfingers:you are the next name on the list!

Bj - how are you feeling? How did you go with your decision? I know how easy it is to be bummed and disheartened, but if you can do it again i would try. I am here to chat if ever you need it.

Melissal - how are you travelling? Hope the TWW isn't going too bad. It only takes one!!

Mum-2-be - I am feeling better thanks, still a little tender especially on my right side cause that is where more of the eggs were. Still trying to milk it as much as i can with DH though:lol: How are your injections going?

Sorry to those i have missed but :hello:hope you are all doing well.

ATM - I rang the lab this morning and we have our 6 doing really well (between 4 & 6 cells) our 7th is @ 3 cells which they said is still good considering it took longer to fertilise (that one must take after my DH:lol:)I feel i have a really positive headspace this time round so trying to focus on that!

I think im just confusing myself and probably should know this, but with IVF when is Ovulation - just before transfer or at EPU? I just want to work out timing etc.

YippY!!! Ive just come home from my US this morning, and everything is great.
We have 3 lovely fat ready to burst follicles, and booked in at 930 friday morning for epu.

I also wanted you all to know that you all are a wonderful bunch.... ive read many of your stories, questions and answers, cried with some and laughed with other's. you all have to one of the most strongest, bravest women, your sadness's, joys and encouragement to each other is inspiring. I really dont know how some of you find it , just to keep going???
I dont have family to talk with about my own journey with ivf, and so so glad to have found you guys! I know, i dont know you all to well, and hope that i haven't intruded, but like to thank you all for you warm comments and help so far.

littlegem - congrats on the follies and good luck for your EPU on Friday. I totally agree with you - BB is such a wonderful place for lots of love and support when we need it most.

Loops - did you do a 5 day transfer? If so ovulation date would be counted back 5 days prior to ET, so the 10th. Try not to think about it to much though. Lots of positive thoughts and try to visualise that little embie bedding down in your uterus.

AFM - Well I have a 5AA onboard at the moment the scientist came in and explained that it was extremely good... 10 froze on day 3 and the remaining 2 they will see how they go and freeze them if they last.. I am soo excited!! BT will be 1st March!! Oh and my FS said I can take laxatives and she guaranteed me that the emby won't fall out LOL

Thank you Miss K, will try not to stress and have a good anniversary.
So EXCITED for you, that is beyond excellent. To have 10 frozen too, absolutely wonderful!
And great you can take laxatives to help with that tummy! :D

Loops12 - Hope you are still working through the awfulness that is the 2ww. Big GL for you surviving the madness - I'm sure it's all worth it in the end!

AFM - Nothing really to report, just going about my normal life. Have checked with my FS and will be doing another FET next month if this one doesn't work. I have no idea if I am pregnant or not as each time I try I get different symptoms. I am going with this feeling of not worrying while I can as tomorrow I might be feeling crazy anxious again!

Renee - Congrats on a great result, that is such a fantastic number. :crossfingers: that everything keeps going along smoothly. I am doing ok, had an absolutely amazing acupuncture appointment last night and got so much stuff off my chest...so I've decided to go for the frozen cycle! Have an appointment with FS to tomorrow arvo so we'll see what he says. I haven't seen him since my ET and haven't talked to him properly since my disastrous EPU so I'm looking forward to getting alot more off my chest!! Been storing this stuff up for weeks!

littlegem - That is so sweet, I feel exactly the same way! Its good to have people who REALLY understand. All the best for Friday hunny :)

Miss K - Your so right. I think I would have kicked myself in a few weeks if I had decided to wait...its just really nerve racking as this is our one and only frozen emby, eeeek! But we'll see how it goes. But OMG Thats such a great result for you! G'luck with your TWW.

Em Star, OMG, what fantastic results!! I'm so thrilled you are on the list!! Congratulations!! :confetti:

I know it's late, but I wanted to chip in on the crinone and constipation issues. Whenever I've done IVF during summer I've stored my crinone in the fridge and just take it out 15-30 mins before use. On the constipation front, when I asked about it after one of my transfers, the nurse suggested eating prunes or dried apricots and drinking pear juice. I've also had someone suggest prune juice for after my lap, so presumably that would help too. I'm not a big prune fan, so I'll be stocking up on apricots and pear juice in a couple of weeks.

I'm pretty busy with the wedding lead up here, so it'll be a while between check ins for the next week and a bit. I've got my FX for all of you cycling at the moment. :pray:

BJ - It is always good to get everything off your chest and get some answers as well. I don't know about you but i always tend to have lots of questions that i never ask, quite often googling the answer which only makes things worse i think. I have never had acupuncture done before but have heard that it is a great way to relax. Is that why you do it, to relax? Hope everything goes well with your FS.

I have rung the lab again and we still have all 7 doing what they should be:leap:We have 5 @ 8-10 cells and 2 @ 6 cells, but none have fragmented yet, which they pretty much all had done by this stage last time. So am getting a little bit excitied for ET on Sat.

AFM, nothing has changed - still thinking I'm brave doing the injections all by myself!! Feeling a little sooky lately though ... but then I pick myself up and I'm fine!! All this TCC and IVF seem to be all I can think about lately - almost obsessive!! Just one thing, did anyone's last AF hang around a little longer than usual - my normally lasts for 3-4 days, but it is now 6 days later and I'm still spotting ... getting a little worried about it...

M2B my AF is always playing up esp after an IVF cycle, if you are concerned i would talk to GP or FS.

Mum-2-be ~ Hope everything else is going well. Its probably just all the hormones, AF normally for me is about 5 days and once I had it for about 11 days around a cycle. As Loula says perhaps check with FS about it if youre really concerned. Hope those follies are frowing nicely, FX and GL.

AFM ~ I said to DH this morning if I get AF on the weekend (should come around Sun/Mon - hopefully not at all though) I might stop doing the Crinone. He wast very happy with me saying that but he doesnt have to use the stuff. I hate it - it has made me so sore and itchy and contispated its horrid. *TMI warning* to the point where I had to leave a cold wet facewasher in my knickers last night to cool and soothe it.
Feeling a little more pos today but certainly not getting my hopes up at all.

Loops - oh hang in there hun, no fat lady singing yet is there? I agree with the others - rampant hormones and high stress levels, not surprising you're getting killer headaches. Do you know if its def the Crinone causing your symptoms, is it poss that you've got a bit of thrush going on? Either way, hugs hun, not nice. I do head you about the constipation though, I have pretty much chalked up my huge bloatedness to being bunged up cos I finally had a massive poo and have felt SO much better since :redface:. I reckon one of the worst things about the 2ww i the not knowing, would make life so much simpler if we knew straight away if it had worked

Ummmmm I know I've missed heaps of people but good luck to everyone cycling, awaiting EPU and ET and suffering through the 2ww. I am going absolutely bonkers here but I am flat out refusing to acknowledge any possible sign or symptom of pg/impending AF. Just counting down the minutes and scoffing white chocolate until Tuesday. Luckily I don't have any days off work until Tues so will be kept good and busy - phew. I WILL NOT POAS!!!

I have a strange update. I started bleeding yesterday, in a moment of madness I rang the clinic in tears and asked if I could have my beta done today as I don't do HPT's as I've never had a positive one. After no sleep last night I just rang and I have an HCG of 10 and Prog of 145. So likely I have a chemical pregnancy which I know might sound crazy but I am happy with as it means something happened. I have never been pregnant naturally so I am just happy that something might have happened. I am currently 12 dpo so guess we just have to wait and see.

I'm not having another blood test until Monday but hopefully will have calmed down enough tomorrow to write some personals :)

Renee - Acupuncture is awesome! Its great for relaxation which is really important during this crazy process but there have also been heaps of studies that show a higher success rate for women who combine acupuncture with IVF. If you google it, you will get some good info. I am hooked on it, it has been such a savior for me.

M2B - Like Loula said, this process can play havoc on our bodies and what is normal is suddenly NOT normal anymore! So as long as it doesn't drag on for too long I wouldn't be too worried.

Loops - Crinone is AWFUL!! You poor thing....I hate that stuff with every fiber of my being! But I'm glad to hear that you are feeling a bit more positive, I know our natural reaction is to protect ourselves but you have to keep some hope alive. Hang in there :D

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes.....I saw FS this arvo and let him have it, not that he could admit out loud how much he stuffed up my last full stim cycle but he did admit that maybe he needs to stop being so cautious and put me on a higher dose next time. The bad thing is that he says obviously I have an egg problem but there is no explanation for it?? Having mild PCOS, I should be making too many, not the other way around?? How can there be no explanation?? He said all the blood tests I have had previously show no reason why this is happening, so if there is no reason he can't really do anything to fix it?? So frustrating!!
But right now I am going to focus on this FET cycle.....which all looks good to go ahead, I start the dreaded blood tests tomorrow but this time they will trigger me so I don't have to have so many and have a bit more control over when ET will be. :crossfingers: That this will be the one and I wont even have to worry about my next stim cycle!! I'll keep you posted....

mum-2-be Thankyou :)!!! And as for AF I have no idea I never get it to tell whats normal or not sorry hun I would assume its from all the wonderful IVF drugs...

Loops - I can't believe it gives you that much hell!!! Are you on the progesterone pessaries aswell I mean the triangle ones wrapped in like al foil??? I would be talking to FS and seeing what other options are available!! GL and FX for you!

Bj - I will be :pray: that this is the one!! PCOS is a b**** I have been diagnosed since I was 12!! I wish they would come up with some kind of cure I am surprised nothing has showed signs until now!!! I had my ovaries drilled last year to see if that would do anything as having them drilled can help with ovulation but it didn't in my case... I would even consider seeing another FS if you're not happy with what his reply was!! I hope your ET will come up fast so you can get on with this next cycle xxoo!!

M2B, its my sister's wedding and it's on Sunday. I'm down in Sydney for the week to help her with the last of the preparations. I also find I get longer AF's after medicated cycles - sometimes for a few cycles after...

Loops, I've always stopped the crinone when AF showed up. I haven't had such a bad time with side effects, but didn't see the point in continuing with AF there.

Lairdoz, I hope you're wrong and you've just got a late implanter there. 12dpo is still early, so FX for the next test. :crossfingers:

Miss K - I see Dr Davidson at City Fertility. Are you on the Coast? My PCOS is really weird....have been diagnosed and then undiagnosed about 4 times. I have none of the symptoms that go along with it apart from not ovulating regularly, but even then, the longest I will go is 6-8 weeks. And I don't always have cysts either?? It's so annoying. I have considered going to see someone else but I don't really want to start from scratch....??

Lairdoz - Hopefully Monday you will get some more answers.....:pray: maybe it's just a slow one. But if not, like you said at least it's a step in the right direction. Will be thinking of you xxx

Ladies I'm out, it's definitely a chemical pregnancy. I will still go on Monday for the BT but I will be assuming it's so we can wait and see if my hormones have gone down to normal. Feeling OK about it, as I said it's a point in the right direction. Not sure if I will be able to do a FET now back-to-back so have to wait and see.

ATM - The Lab says i still have 7 little embies!!!YAY!!! 5 are beginning to join (the cells) and 2 are still a little slow but are still doing the right thing. ET will definatley be tomorrow, getting excitied!

Laridoz - Im sorry hun, ignore my post which i must have been writing while you posted it! My first was a chem preg and it is reasurring knowing that it can take. I was told by the nurses at the clinic the reason it doesn't stick is because the embryo is not chromosonally ready. So it just wasn't the right little embie. Again i'm sorry.

Loops, I have my fingers crossed big time for you as I know that last year it was only a remote possibility that you would even get to cycle this early in the year.

To all you other ladies, I hope your time here in this thread short and sweet - and I mean that in the nicest possible way!

AFM: After having stim & FET cycle last year (both BFN) and losing 6 frosties in one hit, we were pretty devestated. Decided to take some time off and make some lifestyle changes ie. work, diet, exercise and we are now ready to go!
Have changed clinics in the hope that a new approach will help. I have heard great things about this clinic but am still kind of reeling over the costs associated and the shock of just how little my PHI covers. We will be out of pocket about 5 times the amount we were last time! (not including the lap)
I will be having a Lap and ovarian drilling next month to see what's going on inside and then perhaps a 3 month layoff before proceeding with IVF again (depending on what they find).
I am a bit scared of the Lap but hope that it will shed some light. If anyone could share their experience, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the feedback about longer AF's - it seems to have gone now - hopefully for 9 months!!

Melissal & Miss K - hope you both are going through the TWW well!!

BJ & Renee - a friend of mine went through IVF this time last year and she tried the acupuncture and it worked for her ... although I think she also had a ****tail of other things to improve her chances - so not sure what the verdict is - but I guess it cant hurt - and if it relaxes you!! And Renee - good luck for tomorrow - my :crossfingers: for you!!

Laridoz - I'm glad that your ok :hug: - as you say, at least you know its all working!

Tantee - Hi!! I only just joined in January, this is my first cycle. I can't comment on the other procedures - but I wish you all the best!!

ATM - As I said above, the spotting has stopped!! I felt really yuk yesterday - just wanted to go home from work, but I perservered with the day and by 2:00pm I started feeling better!! At 4pm I turned Whitney Houston on as loud as my computer would go in my office (I closed the door!!) and kept working!! Funny how all day you can feel yuk and then almost instantly feel better!! Other than that, I go in on Monday for a scan to see how the eggies are going ... pretty exciting!!

Thanks for your support and encouragement. See the thing is i always get headaches and migraines leading upto my AF arriving and also during AF and the timeframe was the same for my last IVF cycle - had ET on a Sunday and by the next Thursday/Friday I had headaches. Same thing is happening now. Im just hoping the headaches dont get too bad and then maybe I could put it down to stress but I know the type of headache too.
Last night I was more confident but today I have 1 again so def NOT looking good.
As for the Crinone - some of the side affects can be thrush like symptoms, so Im pretty sure its the Crinone.

Lairdoz ~ so sorry hun, it was a negative this time and a chemical preg but glad it has given you some hope. I can understand that. Loops - sorry your not doing to well today hon xx. I still have everything crossed for you and am hoping that you might still get that BFP. I have never used Crinone and always used Progesterone pessaries. They are little waxy cones that you can take rectally which makes them cleaner and could help with the thrush symptoms. If this cycle doesn't work out you should see if you can swap for next time.... hopefully you won't need to worry about it though. :goodluck: sweetie x

Im devestated just got the worst news ever - none of our eggs were frozen, so now broke, dont think this one has stuck and gone through so much for NOTHING AT ALL
Absoluely gutted and Im at work 2. Sorry to be a downer.

So probably be waiting another year now as we just can't afford it. And after everyone gave us money for it too - its just not right, life is so unfair!!
