Welcome planet ash to our chat circle of wonderful ladies to support you. Last month was my first ivf and I don't think I would have coped without everyone here.
Goodluck Amy and myturn, Amy I hope you are feeling a bit better today for transfer.
:welcome: Planet Ash :) :goodluck: and you'll find plenty of support here :grouphug:
Thanks Miss B I appreciate your advice and info because thats prob what will be happening to me soon as they wont give me a choice of more then one embie and usually do transfer day 2 unless you have a small amount of viables eggies so it helps a great deal and gives me hope! All the best for this new beginning and I hope to join you soon with all these lovely ladies in the belly forum!
so... DH was 'too tired' to do anything last night :( after sitting on the toilet for AN HOUR!!!! (seriously if it's no gunna pop in a couple of minutes, it's not gunna pop!!!)
anyway.... no BD for us :( , I was probably too sore anyway... but hey... I would have made the effort!!!!
I suppose the only other option is AFTER ET tonight... BEFORE I put the crinone gel in..... hmmm... maybe too scary that the poor little blob will get a fright when he/she sees daddy up a bit too close!!!!
hope everyone is feeling well, and rested - I am off to ET soon - so will be back on the couch in a few hours looking for something to do - I'll update you all then xxx
Don't worry myturn, my dh is 40 too, they are always too 'tired' :wall:
:goodluck: for ET
welcome Planetsasha :)
One more day of antagonist for me, trigger tomorrow
Thanks everyone for the GL messages.
Will be quick cause on my phone.
Got 13 follies yesterday and just got a phone call to let us know that DH and I have 8 embryos on ice. Will have to wait for FET until prob mid march.
Good luck Amy and my turn xxx
And a massive congrats to miss B
Hey all…….so cool to have a BFP to keep us all going. Am working today with two screens and it is soooooo much easier to do this than on my phone!
AmyJB – Hope it goes OK today, your symptoms (especially the ‘commuting’) settle down and this one is not as painful as the last. Read a hysterical article about auto-correct and the trouble it can get people into…….. How sad about your girl at work…….we never know what is going on in other people’s lives, huh.
MissB – I notice N2L commented on your low AMH….you give me hope where I was pretty much set to have none. Hope you are sooooo enjoying this!!
All 2WW'ers - Well, not much to say except thinking of you and FX :grouphug:
Vic – :wtf: re your FS – you soooo need to be confident that your FS is working with you and believes………I know you have a relationship with them, but I agree with MissB’s comments, I have one who I don’t believe because he is sooo positive and I am 40 with very low ovarian reserve and male factors as well. Don’t get me wrong, he is NOT unrealistic, but he certainly makes me think it is worth it and I should not give up hope. He has me on a whale of a concoction ‘specially designed’, too!
Kimbe – loverly haul-in-the-making you have there; FX the eggs are sitting tight within.
Myturn – how exciting, nearly (or maybe even already) officially PUPO! How did the BD convincing go? OOOOOOOOOOOOOO is good anytime – ET just another excuse as far as I am concerned. Oh, just saw your update – never fear – can be sticky and BFP regardless!! As someone who specialises in these things (don’t ask)…….tell him you are right about the poop pop (that will go down well, I am sure)….using my DH as a case-study, no BD effort would have been about him being worried for me, anxious and stressed. Hehe re the up close and personal view of daddy! Hope cold has run away.....
Kerbear- GL with the new cycle……sorry you are a bit stressed out….nice to have a supportive boss but it is still hard, I am sure, especially the fear she will ‘get over it’ – does she know why? Would it help to sit down and fill her in even if not mentioning the details but just the unpredicatability? At the very least, she may not realise how worried you are that your job (or her goodwill) may be in jeopardy and she could reassure you which would take a weight off your mind……..anyway, hang in there – hugs.
Jane – hope you are coping OK and your symptoms are all settling nicely.
Mia – sounds like you are doing well on your Synarel – me, I like the yuck taste because I figure it means I must have done it correctly! Seems like you are a day or two ahead of me on this loooooong down reg cycle………..aaaargh!
PlanetSasha – Welcome to our wonderful world of highs and lows. You’ll do well if you are able to get your head around where everyone is at – I’ve been following for ages and still struggle!! I’m doing first cycle down reg and have been on Synarel for a week now.
Saffy – GL with trigger and the week’s events.
LiseyT – awesome number of embies….how exciting to know they are there waiting for you.
Everyone else – hey there!
AFM – Not much to say - still sniffing away. Stopped OCP today. Have USS 10/02 to see if can start jabbing. Things overall good and cannot actually complain this week about anything - VERY unusual.
Hi ladies,
Myturn and Amy, stalking, stalking........hope it all went well for you ladies today :crossfingers:
Liseyt, thanks hun! That is an awesome result with 8 embies on ice! Well done hun, can't wait till March for your ET!
Kashby, my AMH result was 12.3 or something like that in October 2010, and then I asked to get me tested again 10 months later in August 2011 (we were at that stage thinking about doing a cycle end of 2011). It dropped all the way down to 3.8!! I was shocked and gobsmacked to say the least. Not that 3.8 is tragic, but that it dropped down so much. My FS didn't expect it to drop this much, but he was still fairly confident with the low result, he didn't let me give up. God bless his cotton socks. But I am getting on a bit hun, I will be 42 in May :o Can't wait for you jabbin' soon!!!!!
Saffy, GL with your trigger tomorrow :crossfingers:
Mia, my FS refuses to transfer more than one embie at a time. His thought is that multiple pg are far more complicated and risky, especially in older women. I have however, heard of other FS who will transfer more than one embie when the woman is older to increase her chances of getting pg. Every FS is different I suppose.
Hello to everyone else, I hope you don't mind me lurking and occasionaly posting in here.....I just want to know how all your cycles are going and to see more BFPs!!
B xoxoxo
Myturn is officially PUPO!!!!!
(...and is already feeling anxious :( )
I uploaded a picture of the little embie (upside down! oops!!) onto my profile - if you want to check it out :) I think ET is the BEST BEST BEST part of it - and the only thing that we can rub into those 'natural' girls.... we get to see our little blobs at EMBRYO stage... na na ne na na!!!
as for stats..... 7 eggs, 5 fertilised, 3 successful as the moment - 1 implanted, and two left - HOPEFULLY will be okay to freeze (just in case, it would be nice to have 35 year old eggs to implant when we come back for more (assuming this one's a sticky!!)
They are grade two embies - so Dr said good quality, and he seemed a bit more positive overall with these ones - said the other two MAY not work - but "it was rare to get none".
hmmm... guess it is good news... :)
thanks for all the well wishes ladies - I really appreciate it....
now if only Vic would get in here and move me into the TWW!!!!
hey amy - how you feeling???
Myturn, congrats agian on being PUPO!!! I love the pic of your gorgeous embie, it looks just like mine did!! Oh please stick little one and be good to mummy :pray::pray:
Hi all, sorry I have been MIA.
Firstly congratulations to MissB - so awesome to see a graduate! Sending you tons of sticky vibes & all the very best for the next few months
Amy - Sorry to hear you are poorly. I hope all goes ok.
I'll have to come back to catch up properly but wanted to say I am on CD 5 and I was stressed to the max this morning. Last night I realised that I didn't have enough Gonal f for Sunday nights injection but we had a function, so couldn't do anything about it. First thing this morning I try to call the clinic, but the message says to call back between 1-2. I call my FS and get message bank, he calls back and says he'll arrange some meds. Only pharmacy that have the meds is Richmond and I ask if they can send it to a closer pharmacy, yes they can but it won't go until overnight & I can pick it up tommorrow. Arrg! DD is getting baptised tomorrow, so I'd have to go first thing in the morning & I am running around crazily today trying to clean my house & buying/preparing food for tomorrow. I finally get a call from the clinic to come in & get some more meds - thank goodness they are only in Clayton! So, not so stressed anymore!
Congrats on pupo myturn, I will check out you pic later, I have never seen one yet :-)
Hi girls just left the clinic, had a 6 cell day 3 embie implanted :) they put me under a general anesthetic so apologies if my post makes no sense I still feel like I'm off my face!
I found out why my transfer was so painful last time. Apparently my uterus is shaped like an s bend and they had to put a clamp with 'teeth' on my cervix to keep it out the way and stretch my uterus so it was straight :/
Unfortunately DH was unable to come in while I had it done because I was asleep but I'm feeling much better now and very positive. Good to hear everything went well for you my turn xxx
Rhichichi, thanks hunni! Wow, that would have been pretty stressful hun, glad it's all sorted out :). Hope you'll grow some nice looking eggies in this cycle :crossfingers:!
Amy, my goodness, that would have been painful when they used that 'teeth' thingy! Ouch! Lucky you got knocked out for this transfer, keeping everything crossed for you :crossfingers:
this even sounds painful!!!!
I'm glad I've got the weekend to keep recovering, my ovaries are still talking to me :( I'm sure they didn't hurt this much last time!!!
Rhi - if I hadn't just become PUPO I would have offered to collect them for you... but alas.... no can do... ;) Hope it's all working out sweetpea - and enjoy the christening!!!
Afternoon all - have spent the day on the ride-on lawn mower with DD to keep from ruminating on the numbers and dates and timing of everything!
Just a quicke:
Sounds good in here - Amy, great news on ET, good embie too! :stickyvibesgirl:
PlantS - Welcome! It's odd how we all seem to read and follow for a bit then finally break into the conversation. Congrat's on starting it all, you'll be well supported in here every step :goodluck:
Saffy - What times your EPU?? Isn't it exciting that tomorrow is the final stim's and the trigger, i'm feeling so pumped about it all wishing away the hours  :crossfingers: for a great result. (I love that you know when ET is going to be already!)
Everyone else, hope the weekend is promising you some lovely weather and time to relax and unwind. Me...am off to the kitchen for dinner duties!
xx
