Murraycod Good luck with your transfer today :crossfingers:
Good morning ladies! Hope that you are all well. Sorry I didn't make it in yesterday. Was obsessing all yesterday arvo and last night and before I knew it, it was way past my bedtime....
FGS, wishing you every good thing for your scan today. I'm praying for you and for your FS, that their knowledge and skill will translate into your follies giving up some fabulous, healthy eggs.
MC, same goes for you. Praying that your FS has a steady hand and that your ET goes well. My ET was a snap and by that, I mean the bones in my hand! I put my hand out for DH to hold (whilst FS was at my business end) and he held on so tight, I thought my fingers would break! I, however, was as cool as the proverbial cucumber. ;) :crossfingers: for you my dear and I look forward to seeing you swim over to the tww pond. (C'mon in, the water's fine....) :)
As for all you other gorgeous ladies, I hope that you are all doing well. I am sending you all peaceful, happy vibes and I look forward to hearing great news from you all.
hi ladies i hope you are all well.sorry no persies at the moment since i havent had a chance to read back.just wanted to pop on and update you all whats happening with mum.
SHe saw the surgeon last friday and she had a second lump in her breast too that surgeon said would be cancer (now confirmed) and she suspects there is some around her nipple as well but still waiting on biopsy results of that. the verdict is mum is to have a mastectomy in about seven weeks time.the surgeon wants her to have a few sessions of chemo first to try and halt the cancer spreading further before surgery.she had to have a bone scan monday and a ct scan tuesday to see if it has spread.biopsy was done last friday around nipple.she saw oncologist on wednesday and only the ct scan was back.it showed that the two big lump in her breast have joined up, kinda like a peanut shell.she has a benign cyst on her liver and the ct scan did show a spot on her lung but at present they are saying inflammatory until its investigated further.weird thing is they are saying it may be from a cough even though mum doesnt have a cough and hasnt had one for a while.she starts chemo this morning and we are hoping rest of results are back.when she has the mastectomy if it turns out she has hormone receptors then she will have additional medication for about 12 months as the receptors make the cancer grow quicker.she was given paperwork wednesday to order her wig as dr said the strength chemo she will be on she will be bald in 2 and a half weeks.so its still a bit of the waiting game for the rest of results. also last night i found out a former neighbour passed away from breast cancer leaving 3 still young sons.R.I.P debbie. the lumps that are joined are now 5-7 cms.its growing so fat as when mum was diagnosed a month ago there was only one 2.5 cm lump found
Trubabe, I will keep praying for your mum and your family. Take care sweety. xox
thank you rob. i did a google seach of the symptoms that sent her to dr in the first place and they all came up as a rare form of cancer that starts around nipple-inflammatory breast cancer.i didnt like what i read either.given that she has the classic symptoms of this type as well and that dr thinks biopsy will confirm her suspicions its likely mum already has two forms of cancer and it can be more complicated to treat the inflammatory one.i just want results to be back so we know what we are fully dealing with
Trubabe so glad to hear from you even though its not under the best of times. I will also have you and your family in my prays tonight.
Murraycod hope everything goes well for you today sending out :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
FGS hope your scan went well today and you have some healthy eggs.
OMG...!
this morning's scan... out of NO-WHERE... I have 8 or 9, ripe, juicy, fat follicles!!! :jawdrop:
The nurses and doctor were quite shocked... and I am AMAZED!!!
I am completely blown away... seriously... this was TOTALLY not expected! Last week the nurse said I'd be good to get 2 follies... but amazingly... all of these other ones have decided to grow!!!
So 2 more days of Orgalutran and Gonal-F... Sunday night at 7:30pm Trigger injection - and Tuesday 7:30am EPU...
I can't even begin to describe how THRILLED I am... honestly! I had prepared myself (as best as I possibly could) for bad, bad news... and the news could not be more AMAZING!!! :leap:
Miss K - you might just be right about the stubbourn ovaries thing!!!
MoonFlower - thanks for keeping me in your prayers... I am convinced this is nothing short of a MIRACLE!!
MurrayCod - hope your ET went great today! How are all your 'little ones' coming along?
Terry - good luck with your natural 2ww...! Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts!
Rob - yep! Ponde is so close to Cowirra! We drive past their everytime we go up :)
I am so... sooooo happy. But I am so scared to get excited because I know every step is a challenge... ****breaaaaathe****
L x:dance:
Fatgirlslim sooooooo excited for you ... I have everything crossed xox Yep everything is one step at a time for sure :)
Hi everyone......Sorry I've been MIA for a few weeks so I'm not sure what everyone is up to. But I hope that 2010 is going to be an awesome year for all of us!
I start a new full stim cycle to tomorrow. Switching to Gonal F this time as opposed to Puregon.....I'm only on 112.5IU (I was only on 100IU with Puregon) that seems to be quite low compared to everyone else? I know that Dr is worried about over stimulating as I have PCOS but last time I only got 7 eggs which isn't huge, the time before that (before I started acupuncture) I only got 2! It just seems a bit too cautious to me? Anyone had any experience with this?
Anyway.....if last time is anything to go by my EPU should be last week in Jan. I am trying to be so positive about this one!!
Hope you are all doing ok, wherever you are up to. I'll pop in again a bit more regularly now so hopefully I'll get back up to speed.
Hi Ladies!!!!
Wow!!! so much going on...skimmed through all the posts and i haven't been able to digest it all, but i want you all to hang in there just like i am.....as you all know i am on my 4th cycle..started the synarel 9 days ago..AF was due 4 days ago! whats the story? when should AF arrive?? This cycle is new to me as i have done the Antagonists and this is my first Down reg and don't know what to expect....i also know that alot of you complain about the sniffing, but for me...i love it!!! i suffer from sinus problems and this has fixed it right up..haven't felt this good in yeeeeeearrrs!!
Danyelle - i also go to st george private and live in the area...i noticed you go to Hurstville...i have Mondays and Tuesdays off work...maybe we could catch up one day if you like and discuss our IVF, if you wish to. Let me know hon. :D
Loops12, Rob, Juniper76,and anyone else i've missed Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts...
Hello ladies!
I just gotta start with you FGS - I have to buy a vowel because O my gosh!! That is the most brilliant news I'm going to hear all weekend! :happyforyou: Looks like your two possible follies have had a stern word with the rest and they've played ball. I couldn't be more excited for you right now. So, so, so happy for you. Will continue to pray for you and your harvest time. I shall now do the dance of joy :wiggle:
EmeraldStar, you made me laugh about sniffing and your sinus' improving. I guess that damn stuff has to be good for something aside from baby making, huh? ;)
Truebe, so sorry to hear about your Mum. Hope everything goes well and that you can take some time to decompress.
The lab called me this morning. Threebie (3rd embryo) didn't make it. So I'm a little :( Was really hoping it would get to blasty. I'm grateful for our twobies (2 embryos) and must now spend the next 1.5 weeks not getting too excited nor too anxious. It's a fine line we walk, is it not ladies?
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Moonflower x
Hello fellow BB ladies,
I usually post in TTCAMAL but I have a specific question I thought you might be able to help with.
I had my 3rd IUI today and my donor's (fresh sperm not frozen) pre wash count was 19 million with 95% motility then post was it was 3 million with 95% motility? I'm obviously missing something about this process because I thought it took away unwanted fluids and poor sperm, so where'd my other 16 million go? Do they just not survive the wash? I can't see that they were all poor morphology if they had 95% motility!
Please let me know if you can explain this.
Thank you.
Hi all you lovely ladies
Its been a while since I've been in here, trying to catch up on all the news. Hope you're all well and happy and had a good Christmas.
Trubabe - sorry to hear that things are getting more complicated with your mum, thinking of you and her and sending big hugs
FGS - so exciting about your follies! Thats great news. Ovaries are very strange creatures indeed... so glad your perserverence paid off!
Hi to everyone else I've missed!
AFM - 2nd IUI failed last week, so we're having a month off (we're going away on holidays tomorrow), before one last IUI attempt next month, then its on to IVF. My girlfriend who is a GP reckons I should cut my losses and go straight to IVF, am seriously considering it... See what happens this month, I guess! You never know your luck :crossfingers:
Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
FatGirlSlim OMG what a delightfull suprise!!!! Congratulations sweetheart, I know you could do it, just needed a little extra time!!! Wow and a few more follies than expected!!!! So happy for you, you must be over the moon right now!! I remember after I had my scan, the next few days went by so darn fast, next thing i knew I was spewing in the recovery room at Repromed!
I told you it wouldn't be long till you were on the "up" part of the IVF rollercoaster ride!! You just had to trust within yourself that your body would not let you down, and FS knows what there doin!!XXX
Sweetheart, I will chat to you before Tues morning, but sending you more goodluck vibes, you deserve them honey....WOOT WOOT!!!!!!
Leabie sorry your 2nd IUI was not successful, I completely understand how you feel. My DH says now, that he wishes we didn't do the 3rd IUI and just went to IVF, but that is only know that we have done an IVF cycle and he is feeling confident, I was terrified of having to do IVF, I too wanted my 3rd IUI to be a success. But only you can decide, are you stimming with IUI??? Good luck with whatever way you decide, we will all be there for you no matter the journey with bells on XXXX
Nice to see you here Sunbeam!!XX Sorry I couldnt help with answers for you babe, I hope someone can help X...............Hope your not too crampy today by the way, I always had cramping for a week after IUI.
Moonflower, It is lovely that you have 2 Snowbabies in waiting, I still don't know how many..if any I will hav for another week.
I had 1 other blasty that will prob be good enough as of Friday, and 4 embies that were a little on the slow side, and are still growing, deadline is Sunday, and the nurses don't phone for that stuff, they send out a letter. So I hope I get atleast 2 like you have. If we only get 1 and this current ET is not successful, I wil have to do anoth Stim Cycle, and I don't even want to think that far yet!!!! (Gosh I'm day1 in the TWW think positive girl!!) Dodn't mind me just talking to myself now!!XX
EmeraldStar I dunno about your cycle as I too have only done Antagonist cycle, but I still started with no AF, As my levels were at baseline anyway, but I actually had 2 days of very light spotting 2 days into doing the Puregon!!XX Sorry not much help, but best of luck XXXXX
BJ*81 I wish you the very best for the start of your new cycle, I have an accupunctre appt on Mondy, I used to have it all the time but I lost intrest when I wasn't falling PG. But I have started again now, it can only help i guess XX I pray that it helps you to grow some strong follies, will be lovely to hear how you are going, I will watch for your progres X

AFM, my first ever ET went well on Friday afternoon, hey someone could have warned me to leave my dignity at the door hey???!!!! OMG what we do eh? I held the ultrasound on mt tummy whilst FS put the catherer in an inserted the blasty, we could see on the screen the tiniest flash of light, I was so amased at the whole thing.
They gave me a photo of out Blastie which is so great!! I talk to it and tell it to get comfy!! (DH has mamed it Harvey, dunno why, and I;m not game enough to ask....):shakehead:
It was so weird thismorning, to wake up and just wonder what is happening inside, the painfull hope and wishing to be a succes, oh this TWW is going to be the hardest one I have ever endured...................
I'm sorry if I missed anybody, take care all XXX
Hello ladies,
Sorry I have been a bit quiet. But I have been doing a little research for all of us.
DH and I have decided that with the expense of IVF and Medicare not supporting us like previous years we have decided 2010 is our last year of trying to conceive. I have a few eggs in storage and once they run out that is it. We have come to the conclusion that we have to stop some time.
But what I am getting to is:
Being on the 2ww thread for well over a year now. I have seen familiar names and also new ladies come and go when they get their BFP and Its always been lurking in the back of my mind, what did they do to get there BFP.
So I decided to start up a thread in the LT TTC - Pregnancy after LT TTC - " What did you do differently to get you BFP " in hope that we can get some answers from the lovely ladies over there. Any information that they give us might be helpful.
Here's the Link.
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post2140580
And if any of you ladies do get your BFP which I'm sure you will, please add your " What did you do differently to get your BFP "

Hey Emerald Star, would love to catch up for coffee one day (well we really aren't surpose to be having coffee, maybe a hot chocolate :) ).
Mondays isn't good for me but Tuesdays is excellent.
Hellooo...
haha... Thanks MOONFLOWER for your dance for joy... !! So talented! - Sorry to hear your number 3 didn't make it....
MURRAYCOD You were spewing? Ewww... What do you mean by "leaving your dignity at the door?" - I am guessing it has something to do with someone working/peering/poking/observing withing a few inches of your va-hoo-hoo!! I think that it is SOOO cool that you got a pic of your Blastie!! See... that's ONE beautiful thing about IVF... who's baby gets a picture of themselves at blastie stage? Yours does! Mine Will! See??? Oh.. and the other HOW COOL thing... is that you got to see the exact moment that that little blastie... ahem... 'Harvey' was squirted into your uterus... cool? I think so!!!!!!
DH has been talking to my ovaries... I can never work out what he's saying because it's oh-so-muffled... but I think he thinks he's doing some kind of good... well, hey... 7 more than we had before popped up... so maybe he's onto something?
LEABIE - sorry to hear about your IUI... xx
AFM... I had my last Gonal-F and Orgalutran shots last night - and at 7:30 tonight, DH (with his now doctor-like expertise) injected me with my Ovidrel Trigger... EPU is on Tuesday at 7am-ish.
I think I might not go to work tomorrow - this morning I woke up in great discomfort - my ovaries are wanting to explode I am sure... I think it will also give me some time to chillax before Tuedsay morning...
OH... also... between scan #2 where there was nothing and scan #3 where there were 8-9 follies... I was SOOO unwell... so sick, dizzy, nausious... and I am thinking it's because my poor body went into overdrive to get these follies fattened up for me...
let's hope there's some juicy, healthy, rock-star eggs in there for Tuesday!
L x
FGS, since you go to the same place i do, i could give you a little rundown of what your day will bring on Tues. (and warn you of the dignity thingy!!!)
It was the unknown that scared me the most, so I hope I can put you at ease XXXXX
Sitting on 1st floor with all the other gals and guys doing the same as you, all sitting there nervouse and whispering cheeky stuff to each other, the men sitting there a little embarrassed about what they have just had to do, or just about to do....poor things.!
Anyways, you will get called in by the admission nurse who will explain a few things to you and go over some details, then you go and get changed into a delightfull blue um......wrap...:D anyways, and some sexy slip ons to go over your feet and a paper cap, I promise you will look oh so sexy babe!!! Make sure you take a dressing gown so you can wear that over your blue wrap thingy, cuz you wont be wearing any knickers down there!!
After a little wait in another waiting room, the anethetist will have a chat to you in another room, he is pretty cool, and makes you feel very comfortable. Ask you questions about any past anasthetics and stuff.
You go under a very light anasthetic, you sleep, but not a deep deep one XXX
Walking in the theatre room is a little overwhelming, there are so many people in there all with jobs to do, but everyone is super friendls, and treat you like you are the only one in the world.
Once you are laying down, the anaesthetist will put an IV in, so quickly I promise you wont even feel it, the needles we have to have every night hurt more beleive me!!!
Next he puts the good stuff in, and you can feel this warmth go up your arm....and then nothing, your out to it!!XX :asleep:
When you wake up in recovery, the nurse will write a number on the palm of your hand and that number represents the number off mature eggies they retreived!!!!
Have a feed of sandwiches, drink of water, after a while (if your NOT like me) you can go home!!!!! (as you know my stay was a little longer than others!!
The crampiness after is not that bad, but dont expect to do much or anything for the rest of the day, get some DVD's before you go!
Drink plenty of water afterwards, I can't stress that enough!!!!
Sweetheart, I hope you feel more confident after reading what the routine will be, as I said earlier, it was the unknown I was scared of, and there is absolutely NOTHING to be scared about XXX (will PM you about the dignity thing, its funny dont stress!!! That's the ET bit!!!)
Honey good luck, I hope it all goes well for you XXXXX
Danyelle thank you for making that thread X I will check it out XX
