Thanks for your replies everyone :)
I think I will try and get the three days off work around the EPU/transfer. Shouldnt be too much of an issue.
I am a little confused about the injection timing though...I only have to have the gonal f until the antagonist jab/s (orgalutran) after cd8 or so, and then the trigger (ovidrel). Is this what everyone means by both injections??
I think I will ring the FS and get clarification about the day/night thing. My natural inclination - compounded with everyone in here's advice - is to do it at night.
Thanks!!

PS Sorry for the "me" post! Back for persies later :) But needless to say, GOOD LUCK everyone :)
well we had 4 mature eggs and 1 little egg (not mature) 3 fertilized but we are only left with 2 properly fertilized which are going in tomorrow :)
Hi everyone - looks like the January rush is in full swing!
Katones - good luck tomorrow! It's fantastic that you have two good ones ready to go - especially after your initial scan had just two follies - enjoy your long weekend - sending you lots of:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
Oneday - good luck with your pickup tomorrow - 20 follies is huge! Hope they're all nice and juicy and you gets lots of healthy embies! The 2/5 day decision is tricky... ones that make it to 5 days are meant to be more likely to keep going, but at the same time there are plenty of people who've had success with two or three days, and who knows? Some may just want to be back in their natural environment in order to fully thrive. At least with a two day you will get the maximum number of attempts - Whatever decision you come to will be the right one for you - good luck!
Happybaby - hope your bt goes well on Fri
Tantee - good luck with this one!
nothingtolose - Hope your pick up goes well and you get your clearance in time for transfer. My clinic advised me to do shots in the morning, I don't know if there was a medical reason, or if it's just for practicality. I would find it really hard to be at home at the same time each night in order to do a shot. I've never had any side effects from the meds, other than being a bit tired by pickup time. I always went back to work the day after pickup, again, I've never had any side effects. With transfers I usually take advantage of being able to take the rest of the day off :) Hope everything goes smoothly for you!
Loops - still no af? I can't imagine how frustrating that must be. Hope she hurries up. Glad DH is going well
Hi JBM, Teirae, melindaann, mellisaI and jayejaye - hope you're all well :)
afm -first bt was yesterday, not quite there yet so trying again tomorrow. I think my transfer will probably be on Tuesday. Not long to go!
Happy Australia Day all! Hope you're having a nice day. I am at work but its double time :)
Katones ~ Getting two to transfer is excellent - double chance of sticking. Will be :crossfingers: for you and thinking of you tomorrow!
Thanks Kass ~ no still no AF but bad migraines today so think she is coming this weekend. FX'd for you for great scans - hope lots of juicy follies growing!
Maruschke ~ Hi and welcome. Sorry never heard of leaking bbs. Leaking in what way? I know Pregnyl can have a few side affects though - it made my bbs very sore and gave a lot of PG type symptoms. All the best for your cycle FX'd for you!
Oneday ~ Ive never done a two or 3 day transfer as my clinic just doesnt do them but I was keen to try as I've seen a lot of successful PGs over the yrs with 2 or 3 day transfers and I just wonder whether because they are in the natural environment sooner perhaps its better - but I know its a tuff decision. Goodluck with whatever you decide. I think at the end of the day its either just our time or not - but I think you and I are long overdue! xo
Nothing2lose ~ Sorry I am not familiar with Gonal f as Ive always had Puregon. All the best though, :crossfingers: for a BFP for you!
JayeJaye ~ All the best with TTC baby #2!
One day - if it helps, my clinic pretty much only does two day transfers....
all the best x

Thanks ladies for your advice, i am steering more towrads the day 2 transfer this time just so we get a few more tries and i think why not try something different? and like you said loops maybe they do like being in their natural environment better? i guess we will never know but all we can do is try different options. I will make my full decision on friday when i find out how many fertilise.
Nothingtoloose, i did my puregon (which is the same as gonal-f) at 7 every morning and then when i started orgalutran i did both at 7 every morning, one on each side of my belly button and then when it came time to trigger that was at night time (always is) its 36hrs before egg pick up.
Kass goodluck xxx
Katones, thats great that 3 fertilised i have everything crossed for you xxxxx
Just a question, have your partners always been with you for transfer? my DH has only ever missed one out of our 5 but he isnt coming to them anymore because his boss is starting to get ****ed off with him taking the time off cause he dosn't need to be there that day. Im a bit emotional about it but i guess it dosnt really matter?
DH won't be there with me tomorrow :( he had tuesday off and today (PH) and desperatly wants to be there but considering he is in charge (his boss is on leave) he has to be there
Hi girl- just a quickie from me, I am back for a FET, got a pos OPK this morning so will go in for blood test and then a transfer next week. I think Kass is doing an FET as well?? I'll be back for persies later but there are so many of us around- good luck and babydust to everyone!!
Oneday- my Dh was there for our first transfer but it was a saturday, he will come next week (calling in sick) but his boss does get a bit funny about taking so much time- I guess it doesn't really matter in the long run, its better than them getting the sack lol
Hi everyone
Saffy - I'm doing an fet too :) We'll probably be transferring around the same time - good luck with yours!
Oneday and katones - sorry you have to do your transfers alone. It's a pity work can't be more flexible.
loops - thanks for the well wishes - it's an fet so I don't need to worry about follies this time around :) Hopefully today was the last bt. Hope you're right about af - sorry about the migranes!
DH came home to be with me at our transfer :) he even took piccies of our embies :) now the dreaded 2WW....
the DR that did the transfer was also the DR the did the EPU :) she is sooo nice!!!
Katones- good luck with your TWW, your DH is sweet too!
Kass- I am transferring on Wednesday, have to drive 2 hrs for transfer so I hope the embie makes it, I wonder if they will know before we leave home, oh well, I'll ask next week. GL with blood test today x
Thanks Saffy - I'm still not there, another one tomorrow. Hopefully yours will thaw out perfectly! I had one transfer ages ago where they weren't sure if it would thaw that well. They ended up calling me pretty early (maybe 6:30am?) to say it was going ahead. Hopefully your clinic can do the same for you. Good luck!
Hi laidies well EPU went well today, i got 16 eggs :) but on the other side of things with the sperm didnt go as good :( my DH had to give 2 samples today as the first one wasnt so good! they said there was lots of sperm with no tails! so they wanted another sample to give them more good sperm to work with and the nurse also talked to my DH about having his sperm surgically removed if there is a next time as this might help the sperm. We are going to wait and see how many embies we have tomorrow to make our decision about what day we are transfering, the scientist said if we get 5 or more fertilise she thinks we should do a day 5 transfer but i dont know i think im leaning more towards day 2 to try something different, i dont want to go through the heartache of only getting one again!! Im not in as much pain as i was with my last EPU which is good.
Katones im glad your transfer went well and your DH could be there :) fingers crossed for the next 2 weeks xxxx
Hello hello, I have been faithfully reading but just lurking and not posting. We are 10 days into our down reg injections and I am a tired, crabby cow. I got to work this morning and started to cry because I wanted to go home. Ugh, hormones huh?
Oneday - awesome result with 16 eggies - way to go you!!!! Are you doing ICSI this cycle? Hoping they managed to get enough good swimmers so that you get a fantastic fert report tomorrow.
Katones - g/l for the next two weeks and yay for two little embies to put back :) So glad that your DH could be there. Mine can't bear the thought of me going to any appointments by myself - lucky for him he has a good and understanding boss
Saffy & Kass - hoping your little snowbubs thaw out beautifully - good luck :)
Nothing to low - I know that I'm miles behind the times here but my clinic told me to do both injections (Puregon and Lucrin equivalent) in the evening at the same time. Judging by the variety in jab times between us all, perhaps it doesn't make too much difference? Correct me if I'm wrong anyone?
A big HI to Loops, JBM and anyone I've missed and welcome Maruschke
One more week before stims start - yay. The last week has draaaaaaggggggeeeedddd. BTW thanks for the input re dumba$$ family members - I am completely avoiding this person now. I don't need the stress and if their stupid comments are anything to go by, they really aren't too concerned whether or not this works for us so in my opinion, they have no right to be told anything about how we are doing.
Thanks melissa :) yes we have done ICSI with all 3 STIM cycles as my DH's sperm dosnt swim there are only ever twitchers :( im so nervous about the results i hope they ring early.
Goodluck with your STIM cycle, i wish you all the best xxxx
Hi all,
oneday - Sounds like your EPU went well! Dont worry about the swimmers. I am sure they will get enough to do the job. And, as we keep saying, it only takes one!!
melissa - I am a b*tch on a good day so I am worrying about how the gonal f will effect me. At least I have a good excuse (although not telling work)
katones - Congrats on your transfer. Rest up and take care :)
Saffy and Kass - good luck on the big thaw :)
AFM - officially cd1. I rang the clinic and I will start the gonal f on Saturday (btw, the nurse recommended jabbing myself at night but said, it didnt really matter). I will go in for a scan/BT next Thursday to see how I am travelling. Starting to seem so real now. Just wish I didnt have such bad AF cramps :( Oh well...
Hope everyone else is well :D
Take care all x

Hi ladies *visiting*
I have a question that maybe you can help me with? We were due to start ivf in March this year, but it may be possible to start a month earlier in Feb. I have almost been rocking backwards and forwards at the prospect all day today. Would you advise starting in Feb? Everything is prepared. We have had our bt's, consultations and we just need to call in on cd1. I guess I am asking for opinions based on your experience..........I have been on clomid for 5 months now. Supplements are all going so physically I am ready.............. Just your thoughts really?
Sorry for waffling?
Thank you x
