hope everyone is having a good day!
Loops, I only just scrolled up and saw your comment to me earlier, thank you :) glad to be in the right place! I just hope everyone will forgive me for not getting very technical about all the processes and meds which I don't understand...
but I am sure I will learn something from you all.
BTW Loops, you live right near my Mum! I am coming down that way next week... very excited :leap:
Springlola, I know... acupuncture (and shiatsu!) ROCK.
HB, I hope AF shows up soon!
Kass I hope your levels are where they should be, hard not to get flat amongst all of this sometimes
Ehm, I think I'll have to make chocolate cake too :)
everyone else, thanks for your encouragement and hope all is well.
I was just on the phone to my FS clinic before and got a different chick on the phone who was SUPER helpful :) The other one I have dealt with is always rushed and kind of dismissive (sucks when you're interstate and feel totally disconnected), so I am stoked that I found this other person. She has given me her direct number, so that should make my life easier!
xx
Oneday - Everyone responds differently, but I think 125iu of Puregon is quite low. I was started on 150, which was increased to 300, and my last two cycles have been 450. Happy jabbing!
LMM - Welcome, and best of luck with this cycle!
Happybaby - I hope AF shows up for you soon, and you can do a transfer before Christmas.
Nicoleh - I hope you are feeling better, and that is fantastic news that you can do another cycle before the end of the year. I hope it all goes well for you. FX'd!
Springlola - good luck with your antagonist cycle. I prefer them to the down reg, even with the extra jabbing!
Kass - Thanks for your message. We have decided to take a break until early next year. Although I could technically fit another in, I can't quite face it physically or emotionally right now. We will go again as soon as we can in the New Year. It's a tough choice though, as part of me wants to just keep going now until we find an embie that works. I am sure you will make the right decision for you about whether to go again or take a break.
Kaybee - Hope your jabbing is going well. Best of luck for this cycle!
Hi to Alice, Loops and anyone else I've missed.
AFM: Was diagnosed with coeliac today, just to top it all off! I had a gastroscopy with biopsy a couple of months ago, and only just got the results. Might explain the infertility in part, but still not holding my breath for it to resolve things as I had some pelvic surgery when I was quite young and my FS did a laparoscopy earlier this year and said I had very "unusual anatomy". Both he and another specialist said I would need IVF to conceive (I know miracles still do happen!), but the coeliac might explain the failure to implant. Will discuss with FS on Monday.
Saffy - Yay!!! C0NGRATULATIONS! Ahhhh - that's me breathing a giant sigh of relief for you. When do you test again?
Oneday - I'm on 150 gonal f. They were going to decrease it because things were moving quite quickly but for some reason they said to keep it at that. So, it's not too different to yours.
LMM - Glad you found someone nice at your clinic. I hate hearing about the horrible ones - what are they doing working somewhere like that if they can't be sensitive and helpful? Your naturopath sounds really good. I haven't seen one this cycle - it sounds awful but she was too far away from the clinic and it took nearly the whole day to see both. Send some of your positive vibes this way! ;)
Kass - how are you going? My levels were really slow to go down when I was in a similar boat to you. It's awful, I know. Big hugs to you sista xx
Today my E2 was 3000 and I had about 14 follies - most were pretty small but one was bigger. I've seen in here that you can have problems if one gets a lot bigger than the others. No no no, I hope this goes smoothly.
Good luck to all of us FX FX FX
Thanks ladies :) i have my first blood test on tues so we will see how things are going i guess.
ehm im sorry to hear you got more bad news :( but i saw a thing on today tonight about women with celiac disease that were unable to concieve but once they went on a celiac diet they fell within months, i hope this is the case for you too xxxx
Kaybee i have everything crossed for you, when is your EPU? xx
Hi Lovely Ladies
Firstly: YAY Saffy ~ :leap: Very :happyforyou: Goodluck and FX'd the lil one snuggles in nice and tight and that the P4 starts going up too.
Kaybee ~ Goodluck with EPU and DH doing his sample. My DH does it at the clinic too and he is getting used to it. Doesnt find it too bad so hopefully your DH wont either.
ehm ~ glad you're feeling a bit better. Its good that at least you know you have that and you can fix the issue and hopefully then find it easier to finally get your miracle! I think i might like to have that test too. Might look into it.
LMM ~ goodluck over the weekend and with your BT, will have FX'd for you everything goes well. Yes do all my own needles - I dont find them too bad at all. Your welcome and Im sure everyone will be able to help you and give you advice along the way.
Oneday ~ all the best with the jabbing and FX'd for a great cycle! I think I started on 125 Puregon but then increased because for me it didnt work well enough.
Kass ~ (((GBH))) Looks like you nearly got there so dont give up hun wont be long until you can try another cycle and next time it will stick properly! I know how annoying it is waiting but I reckon it will only take another couple of weeks for the HCG to go completely - hang in there, there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
SpringLola ~ All the best with this last cycle hun, hopefully last time lucky !
nicoleh ~ so pleased you can have another try this year, FX'd for you hun!
habbybaby ~ Goodluck with your transfer, hope all goes well!
Hi to anyone ive missed and hope everyone is well.
True ~ if you are out there - hoping everything is ok and hope to catch up soon xoxo!
AFM ~ just busy with life, work etc but in a natural TWW I guess. Trying not to think about it too much and looking for signs etc. I have FS appointment on Dec 2nd and will be asking lots of questions about why IVF/ICSI may not be working. Looking forward to tomorrow - free VIP tickets to Lee Kernaghan at Bonnie Doon because my DH is in his new film clip "Dirt" which just aired on Country Music Channel. DH is doing circlework in the background in his red one-tonner Ute - pretty exciting! :)
Hi girls- internet was off for a couple of days so had BB withdrawls!
oneday- good luck for tues! I was initially on 225 puregon- it did jack-sh*t for me, so next cycle I went up to 375 which worked- you're obviously an over achiever tho lol- so are on a lower dose.
Kaybee- someone on one of the other threads had a 'lead follicle' and she was stressing about it but is now 20wks pregnant- so it can still work! Hope the other little ones catch up!
ehm- thats a shame about the coeliacs- i hope the treatment can assist with getting pregnant though.:hug:
littlemissmountain- sorryI have been self absorbed lately so 'welcome':hello: and I have been meaning to tell you I think you are more than welcome here and it is an appropriate place for you to post- we will get you up to speed with our abbreviations lol!
happybaby-thanks hun
nicoleh- glad you are squeezing another cycle in before the end of the year- best of luck for a new year bfp!
springlola- luckylast cycle!! Are you on the same dose? I seem to remember you were on the highestdose last time?? I hope it works x
kass- thats a shame- why are our bodies so against doing what we want?? I can understand why you are feeling flat, look after yourself hun xx
Loops- hope AF is staying away xx
AFM- sorry for being a psycho in here lately, I feel like i am always being negative. Well, spotting from wednesday has turned into bleeding and last time I checked its almost bleeding at AF level :wall: plus have had painful cramps constantly. Not feeling very positive but will wait and see what happens. Just phoned the clinic but the nurse hasn't rung back, I don't really want a BT anyway, will wait til next week I think. Why can't my body do anything right?? I guess I'd rather m/c now instead of further down the track.
Thanks for the support girls, I would be lost without you all xx
loops we posted at the same time-good luck at FS, has DH started his new job??
Hi everyone
Am just starting my first ICSI cycle with new FS and wanted to say hi. Am really nervous after my last ICSI cycle ended in ectopic. I didn't cope well with synarel last time so am trying orgalutran this month.
Hope everyone's cycles are going well!
Hi Aimee - welcome and good luck for this cycle! I'm not a fan of the synarel either - hope the orgalutran works better for you :)
Saffy - I hope that everything is going ok for you  It's so hard being in limbo with results. I really hope your next bt has your levels where they should be :crossfingers:
Loops - enjoy the show tomorrow - sounds like fun!
Oneday - my puregon dose has only been 100 for all three of my collections and I've had pretty consistent results - try not to worry about it being too low, everyone responds differently!
Kaybee - 14 follies sounds promising! I'm sure the smaller ones will catch up soon
ehm - sorry to hear about your diagnosis - what a pain. But like others have said getting it under control could make the difference - hope you get some positive feedback from your fs next week
Hi Alice, littlemissmountain, Nicoleh, spring lola, happybaby and anyone I've missed - hope you're all going well
:hello: everyone and welcome Aimee :) I hope this cycle goes well for you.
Ehm, though a blow at first, maybe it's good to have a name which might answer some things. And as others have said, the change in diet (or meds) could make ALL the difference. I hope so.
Saffy thank you :) and don't worry I think we all probably feel a bit negative when posting a lot of our updates  but it IS such a rollercoaster that the downs have to be expected as well as the ups!
Loops, the clinic faxed me through proper instructions for the shots and I felt a lot better about it after that. But it doesn't look like I will be jabbing this week now :( which I will elaborate on in a sec.
Kaybee, I know what you mean, I didn't see my acupuncturist at ALL last month because it just wasn't convenient with my schedule (and sometimes I just can't part with the $$!) But she always lifts my spirits a bit and makes me feel calmer.
Oneday, hope your BT on Tues has great results :crossfingers:
Sadly, my BT results yesterday were hopeless and the FS called me to say that I should have another BT on Monday and then we will reassess. I knew something was off, as temps have been lower than usual and no EWCM which is unheard of for me by CD11. Anyway, she said that if Mondays results are bad she is going to fax me a script for Clomid. Don't know if that would be instead of or as well as the Pregnyl but will just wait and see. Felt horribly sorry for myself last night but just kept telling myself to put it in perspective (and "suck it up Princess!!!!") Others are in much more difficult positions than me and sometimes I think I just need to toughen up :boohoo:
hope everyone else is doing well and you all have great plans for the weekend :grouphug:
Loops good luck for you on your natural 2ww!!!! xx
Saffy, thats crazy you didnt respond to that high dose but everyone is different and responds differently. Im looking forward to seeing what my levels are like on tues! Im so sorry about AF but keep positive as you got a positive result so things could still be ok xxxxx
Welcome Aimee :) i hope this cycle goes well for you, fingers crossed xx
Thanks Kass that makes me feel better! i will be ok once i know my levels are ok on tues and i must respond well as i did on 175 gonal-f last time which isn't really that high compared to some ladies doses in here. How are you going? xx
Littlemissmountain sorry about the BT!! how frustrating! i have my fingers crossed for a better result on monday xx
AFM still just jabbing but gosh my lucrin injection hurt last night! some times i can barely feel it and other times it really stings! i havn't really bruised this time only a few little ones. Im starting to feel bit tender around my ovaries so im hoping it means my eggs are growing nicely :)
Hi girls-
oneday- thats a good sign ( the ovaries feeling tender) on my cancelled cycle I couldn't feel a thing and on my successful cycle I had the same feeling so they must be growing well! GL x
LMM-goodl uck for BT today- it is disappointing when things don't go as planned so I hope you get a nice surprise today xx
Aimee- welcome and sorry you had an ectopic- that must have been devastating-wishing you better luck with this cycle x
Hi Kass, Loops, springlola, kaybee, ehm, nicoleh, happybaby and anyone else xx
:crying:- I'm shattered to report that I have miscarried/gotten AF over the weekend and am almost 100% sure I'm not pregnant anymore. Had heavy bleeding and pain, poas yest was almost no second line, BT not til Wed but it will just be a formality.
Its such a kick in the guts to not only have an AF but for her to be so painful and long :wall:
I feel like I'll never have a baby, I've called in sick to work today- I can't face it ( I'm a mdiwife).
And now I won't be able to do another cycle til next year :crying:
Oh Saffy I'm so sorry to hear you've had a mc. Yes it's so unfair for this to happen to you. I know how you feel about never being a mum.
Good on you for taking the day off and I hope you're resting and taking some time out for yourself.
My thoughts are with you today.
xx HB
Saffy ~ so sorry hun, I feel your pain. :comfort::hug: It is a big kick in the guts. I hope you're feeling better soon and can move forward from here. Never give up hope xo
So sorry saffy
Saffy I am so very to hear your news :(
It's just so hard and I hope you will start to recover from the experience soon. NOT fair!
sending you lots of  and thinking of you
xx
Saffy :( im sorry! as if IVF isn't hard enough without us going through miscarriages as well! I was devastated after mine but the one positive thing to come from it is that i thought i am one step closer to my proper BFP and it was also good for me to see i can actually fall pg! I hope your ok and im glad you had today off as your job is one like mine where you can never seem to escape the pain xxxxxx
