LT TTC with IUI #6

Albi, well just keep thinking positive, I think it is all we can do in our journeys. Like you said, all it takes it one. On the follie topic, it all depends on how many you produce, as you are only on clomid, then your FS might think you won't produce more then 1 egg. I'm on clomid 50mg, Gonal F injections (this cycle 75 units), then trigger shot so I'm a higher risk of producing multiple follicles (any more than 3 and they will cancel the cycle). GL with your TWW.

T-Hopes, yay on getting the timing, now all you need to do is wait another 7 days and you will know.

AFM I had my trigger shot this morning so will be busy jumping DH for the next 48 hrs (sorry TMI), so this will be a quick one from me, lol. Hope you are all trying to stay positive.

T-hopes, I see you got a BFP. COONGRATULATIONS, so happy for you. You have given me much hope, I wish you are H&H pregnancy. Please keep us posted.

Albi and Epayne - how are you both going with your 2ww? you must bet getting close to the end. good luck to both of you.

AFM - had my 10 day scan today which was actually day 11. I have 2 little follicles on my right side 12mm and 13mm, I go back on Thursday for another scan and hopefully the trigger. All going to plan we do the IUI on Friday, then settle in for the 2ww.

thanks nellyM! we soooooo excited!!! and in complete shock that it worked 1st time!!!!!!!!! We got our bfp on saturday, 12dpo! i tested on 9dpo and bfn so i was really not expecting it!!!! yay for 2 follies!!! please keep us posted!

i have my blood test tomorrow then a scan at 6wks... so scared xx

Hi Ladies, how are you going with your 2WWs?

I went and had another scan today, one of my 2 follies have dropped off and the remaining one was only 16mm. Have to go back tomorrow to see how big it is. It is weird though, every other time by day 13 they have been big enough to trigger today is day 14 and not ready. Not sure what is happening.

Nellym, I was like that last cycle, my gonal f injection amount had to change and I had and extra 7 days worth of injections before I had the trigger shot. Just wish our bodies would play the game right. GL with it all.

Well, I'm now on cycle #3, AF started yesturday morning and OMG the cramps and heavyness is just rediculas again. I am on day 1/5 of clomid and are going to the FS on wed to start injections. Also have to ask him why my cycle is quite quick after o. Last cycle AF showed up day 12 after the trigger and this cycle it was day 9 after the trigger, so have a few questions. AFM - went in this morning for another scan (CD15) and my one follicle was measuring anything from 16mm - 19mm, she said it was a funky shape and everytime she measured it it was changing. They triggered me and I went back this afternoon for the procedure - DH did very well producing 21mil swimming little boys.

Now I have everything crossed, wishing everyone good luck with their cycles and signing out for the next 2 weeks. I am determined not to get on the computer and over analyse everything my body does. I am just going to relax and enjoy time with my DH.

Hi girls - hang in there, if it can happen for me, it can happen for you!!! I never though in my wildest dreams it would work and here i am with a BFP! Had my Bloods on Tuesday and levels came back very high - 267!!! My nurse said anything over 100 was good so we are very happy! Had more bloods on Thurs and they have doubled and then some - #591!! NUrse said its a great start and looks like we have a nice healthy bub so far! JUst taking one day at a time!

Dont give up, keep positive!!! I was so sure i was getting my period, had really full on AF cramps - still do! Nurse said very normal!!!

T-Hopes, I think that is what gets me through all of this, just keep thinking that one day I will have our own bub growin inside me. When are you going to have a scan to see how many are there?? hope you have a wonderful next 8 months.

Well nothing much to report, AF is starting to slow and cramps are few and far between now which is good. Just have to wait till wed now to start the jabbing again.

AFM AF showed up yesterday so here's to round 2! Started clomid today. Positive is that this last cycle I had no spotting which is a first! I think the lap and clean out did the trick! Now here's hoping for DH to have a better count this month. Have religiously been pumping the menevit into him :) keep you all posted!

Albi - sorry to hear that AF showed up for you. Hopefully you will be joining me and Epayne celebrating in Nov when we all get BFPs. I know last month you had low results on your DH's swimmers. I just wanted to remind you that my DH's results were round 1 = 3mil, round 2 = 15mil and then this time for round 3 = 21mil. So hopefully you will see some improvement too. Just think positive and give him lots of praise (they like that), my DH had this clever little grin after I told him the results for the last 2 rounds. He was really down on himself the first cycle. I can imagine it would have been a bit of a blow to his masculinity, they already feel violated having to go in a cup. Of course they feel violeted yet we are the human pin cushins and constantly having strangers stick things in our HooHoo. I always chuckle though thinking that our child will be conceived via a threesome - me, dh and the nurse. BAHAHAHAHA

Epayne - what can I say? good luck. I hope you are coping ok with the clomid, I have heard it can be pretty hard on the side effects. What is the pregnyl for?

AFM - well obviously I haven't survived staying off the computer... Although I haven't been too bad, I am only like 3dpo so I am ignoring every little twinge because i know it is absolutely nothing. Too early for any kind of symptoms.

Nellym, best of luck with waitig, I think all we do is wait and it takes a toll on our minds. I have gonal f injections to help along with the clomid. For me clomid doesn't do anything by itself, so I need to have the injections to get my follies to grow.

Albi hope the menevit helps with DH and you get your BFP too this month.

Well off to the FS tomorrow morning to start the jabbing again. Oh and Nellym, the side effects have been ridiculous this cycle, I have been easily anoyed and DH did admit tonight he was just about to snap a couple of times at me :( Well FX'd for everyone to here some good news.

Albi, Epayne - how are you both doing?

Well, today I am 7dpo and I have been religously looking for symptoms.... I have had lots of twinges but I had them last month too. The only thing that has been different (from memory) is this morning I had a little bit of CM when wiping. It was kind of clear and smooth not glugy or by any means excessive. I am not really sure what to think of this. I guess though there is nothing I can do but wait.

I hope you both are coping ok with your drugs in the lead up to your procedure, you must be getting close.

AFM - Going for scan tomorrow to see how this months follicle is growing..I thinking if this month DH sperm count comes back low again we will move onto IVF...a little daunting but Im abit over the whole process. I dont even know what the process is, so Ill be asking FS about IVF tomorrow :)

Well I had my CD14 scan this morning and I had an improvement from last cycle. I have i follie on my left side that is 9mm and heaps of little ones on my rigt ovary. So I have to keep jabbing and go back and have another scan. So hoping that I will get the trigger shot as we are travelling down to tamworth on the weekend to see my sis. Also DH is coming with me to discuss our next step if this cycle doesn't work. SO looks like you and I Albi have got some decissions to make.

AFM, well today is 11dpo and still no symptoms. My boobs are a little tender but nothing drastic I also have a little iddy bitty bit of CM.

I am determined to wait it out and just do the BT on monday. Last month I thought it would be a good idea to poas the morning before the bt just to be prepared for the outcome, well it turns out it wasn't such a good idea. I started getting teary the minute the needle went in, the thought that I was putting myself through another useless test really played havoc with my emotions. So this month I am just going to wait. I will go in for my test early in the morning and then try to put it out of my mind for the rest of the day until I call in the afternoon.

Good luck to both of you with your IUI this week, hope your DH's swimmers play the game for you.

Well my scan was crap this morning, the follie on my left side has now gone and nothing is happening on my right. So more jabbing for me over the weekend and back to the FS on tues to see if there is any improvement. DH came with me this morning which was good, cause our next step is IVF and our FS doesn't think we will fall pg this cycle by the way he was talking. So now we have to decide when we want to start the process as at the moment we won't have the $$ to do it till mid next year :( hope you guys are having a better week than what I am and have a grat weekend.

Well I'm out for another round, AF arrived this morning. Back to the FS to get my drugs tomorrow. I really want to talk about changing up the meds, so far I have only ever had Femara which is giving me a good sized follie but I think statisticly 2 would be better.

Anyway, hope you guys are having more success then me.

Nellym - Sorry to hear AF arrived *big hugs*. Which meds are you thinking you want?

epayne - Good luck with the extra jabbing, home you get a nice big follicle!! :)

AFM - Had 2nd round of IUI on Friday, 14dpo. Great news, DH had 11 million washed sperm, yay! yay! and I had a nice big follicle...so here's hoping! Start pregnyl injections tomorrow (again!!). Regarding IVF, FS said whenever we want but said because DH had a good count this time we should keep going till end of the year and then start IVF in new year. Sounds ok to me, feeling hopefully LOL (until AF arrives :) )

Well Ladies, it is official. I am leaving this thread for the IVF one. I spoke to the nurses today and they said they do not advise another IUI round and that I should go back to the FS to discuss IVF.

I hope you don't mind but I will stalk you for a little bit to see how you are doing.

epayne - Im not really sure on the difference between progesterone gel and pregnyl. Pregnyl is the HCG hormone, I have it to stop spotting in my luteal phase. Ive never been offered progesterone gel..not sure why LOL

Rhi how is the jabbing going, it does get easier once you have done a few.

Well I am officially anoyed at my body. My scan this morning I have no follies at all. So I am now on 112.5iu dosage for my injections and take 2 metimorfin tablets instead of 1, then go back on monday for a scan. I am getting a little tired of only having crap news, I so just need something to go my way (hope that doesn't sound too selfish). DH and I have had a long talk about what we want to do and decided that it will be IVF for us if we aren't UTD by xmas, so that will mean having a break from it all and saving our $$ and also giving me a chance to get my body healthy and loose some weight.

Have my FX'd for everyone trying and best of luck.

Liz - I posted in the other forum, but just wanted to say how sorry I am that you haven't had good news. I hope the changing of the dose of meds helps. x

Jabbing is going well for me, I hope I am getting it in the right place -seems odd that I just jab into a roll of fat & something should happen?!

Q - Do you get your 'usual' O signs when doing IUI? ie: EWCM, O pains etc...

Rhi with my cycle I take clomid day 2-6 then start jabbing on day 7 or 8. While on the the clomid I have none, but after a few days jabbing I start to get CM and when I get the trigger shot it does increase a little. hope that helps you out.

Ive got my next FS & nurses appt on monday & then just waiting for af, only spanner in the works is dh is away for work from around cd5 so fx we can get an appt in the next 2 wks to freeze a sample otherwise we'll have to wait until next year as following cycle 0 would be around boxing day

Af is due 17th nov so we'll be starting this cycle, but it took 3wks to get the SA appt so im worried they'll be a wait for a sperm freeze appt, guess ill find out on monday. Im hoping giving we'll miss the following cycle they'll be able to fit him in, fxx

Mine went good. My results were good, FS was happy with dh's (93% morph, but 113mil & 75% motility) Had my nurses appt & then went downstairs to make the freezing appt............. and got in next week!! Was so relieved. So now just waiting for af which should be here next wednesday (we only bd 4 days pre 0 due to hubby's sa so not very much chance this month )and then go in to pick up puregon & have u/s

Just thought I would jump in and say hi.

We're ttc#3 (have done icsi and iui previously, I have 2 daughters from IUI's and 3/4 angel babies from IUI, ICSI, and an unexpected natural pg. I'm in my 2nd week of the 2ww and not very positive.

I had some cramping on the weekend on my right side and have been a bit concerned and praying I dont have another ectopic (had my left tube removed after a 7 week ectopic in June this year, after ICSI). Thought I would squeeze in a quicky IUI as am being a bridesmaid in 2 weeks and didn't want to risk OHSS and not fitting into my dress lol.

I'm on inj and am so pleased my right ovary had one good sized follie this month.

Garfield, best of luck with your cycle and glad to hear that you were able to get an app to freeze DH's sperm.

AFM I am now half way through my TWW and starting to drive myself batty anylising ever little thing. My cycle this month just seems to be going on forever, I had 4 weeks of jabbing, which I went up to 150iu per injection, had 2 follies disappear at different times and I was starting to to just want this cycle to be over and to start again. But when DH and I went to see our FS last mon I yet again had no follies, so had another blood test and when I got the results back he said I had ovulated by myself OMG I OVULATED. So now the waiting game begins. I am also on progesterone pessaries nightly as my LP is short. And as the progesterone can give a false BFP on a HPT I will have to what and find out from the BT next mon. But who am I kidding, I just know I am going to give in and do one anyway, lol.

Hope everyone is travelling well, I better go to bed and try and get some sleep.

AFM - Go back next THursday for pg test. Am feeling a little less positive today - bbies not sore as much & lower abdo cramping, hoping I am wrong.

Just a little question if anyone can help, since last friday I have been having wierd cramping, well I think they are cramping, it's quite a strange feeling. I'm on progestorone pessaries which I insert every night, so was thinking it was from them, I just don't know. Also I'm not getting any pg symtoms, my bbies are fine and well I have never been pg, so not sure what else to look out for.

I think the cramping is just related to the stim - that is what my nurse told me. Sore bbies aren't always an indication of pg - everyones symptoms are different. My gf was on the progesterone pessaries but I can't remember what she said. She told me she didn't believe she was pg when the nurse called her b/c she had no pg symptoms (she is due in December). FX

AFM - trying to think positive but I am umming & ahhing & second guessing symptoms :/ Gosh I hate the tww.

Well I am out for this cycle AF showed up today. So back again next thurs to the FS to do start one last IUI cycle before we stop to save for IVF.
