AFM- had 3rd iui on wed so now 2dpo and on the tww, joy! Had 2 mature follicles so hopefully one works!! Next cycle is last iui and I also start ivf councilling in dec with the plan to do first ivf in Jan. Hoping for a bfp for Christmas :)
Liz - :( So sorry to hear AF showed. I was hoping you'd have a pre-xmas BFP - well you could sneak one in now :) Thanks for thinking of me. I hate the tww. I am over analysing everything. Just wish it was Thursday already. Luckily I have a busy weekend, then work on Monday & Tuesday.

Im going okay, u/s on friday was all good so i started puregon on sat. Dh did the first 2 but ive done them since as he left on tuesday for work for 3wks, very proud how well im doing. Tummy a little sore & feeling some 0 twinges but otherwise okay, feeling up 7 down but trying to stay positive. Go in for another scan tomorrow to check how im going,, fxxxx
Rhi I saw the post in the other thread. Sorry AF showed up and hopefully we are meant to find out our BFP on xmas a nice little pressie for both of us :) Also please don't give up, I know it can be hard and feel like you just should (I felt like that last cycle) but in the end you just need to keep thinking positive and thhat you will have a little miracle in your growing inside you soon.
Albi hopefully you aren't going to crazy on your TWW and you get to post your BFP.
Garfield yay on doing the jabbing yourself. I have been doing my jabs for the last few cycles, DH did my first cycle, but then for some reason he coouldn't do it second time round without hurting me :( so I decided to grow the balls and do it myself.
AFM our scan went well, well as can be for the first one this cycle, I start jabbing this morning with 150iu and go back to see the FS next thurs. He was quite positive with us talking about stopping after xmas if we aren't UTD to save for IVF, he thinks that we should keep going as we just not need to do it. Well I will be having a short break anyway as they close for a few weeks in Jan anyway, so won't start another cycle till the end on Jan/ early feb unless we get UTD this cycle :)

Well just got home from my u/s, have a cyst in my ovary on one side (they didn't seem worried about it, so im not even going to think about it) & the other side has one follicle thats nearly there & one smaller one, I didnt ask exact sizes as the less info Ill have is better as ill completely over think any info I have (I already am with just this) so there will be one egg, maybe 2 released. Trigger tomorrow & IUI for monday morning are pencilled in, but depending on what my bloods results say, it may be sunday night & tuesday iui, they will call me tomorrow

trigger time was last night & I go in tomorrow at 10:30 for the iui. Im so so nervous, excited, scared & some more nervous, I cant believe its time. I guess i've just been so down lately I was just so sure something would go wrong & it wouldn't happen for some reason & it just feels a little strange without dh here. Im really sore from the trigger shot so hoping that eases up a bit by tomorrow. I did my housework today & stock up at the supermarket, so im going to just relax & rest up after I get home & all tuesday.
Im still trying to decide if I test out the trigger or not?

Garfield - awesome news! GL for tomorrow - it is a really straight forward process. When they are doing the proceedure it is like having a pap smear. Try to relax as much as you can!
What do you mean by testing out the trigger? As in doing a HPT?
Not much to report for me - on CD 8 and there is not much going on the nurse said - one follie at about 8mms, so back on Thursday for another u/s.
yes, start testing really early while you know the trigger will still be in your system & wait for it to get faint & go and then you know any tests positive after then are real bfp. i know im going to test early & id hate to get excited over trigger so i think im going to test it out
well we had the iui this morning & all went fine, but i am pretty down - we only had 2.7mil post wash, i dont know what they started with but his sa a few weeks earlier was 117mil
Oh okay I get you. I did a POAS at 10DPO is it was positive, so be warned that it will be a long(er) tww :S
I don't know what a good range for washed sperm is - all I got told was that the sample was fine *shrugs*. CD 9 for me.... feeling a little more anxious being so close to Xmas - hoping for a BFP :)
garfield sorry can't help much with the sa, as we don't have to be artificially insem. Best of luck with your TWW and hopefully you will get a nice little xmas pressie (well hoping we all do)

AFM I have had the best week in a while, my sis came up with my little nephew (6mnths old) and it was so good to spend time with her to just tallk and get lots of snuggles off my little giggly nephew. But I had to say goodbye to them this morning :( Well I'm CD12 today and will go back on thurs for a scan. I'm on 150iu and I've been getting lots of niggling cramps over the last couple of days. Oh and since last time I o'd without knowing it DH and I having been doing a little bit more exercise this cycle ;) Well will update on thurs a little more as it's DH birthday tomorrow and we are going to Gold Class to see Harry Potter tomorrow night.
I called the lab direct & she gave me all the info. Original sample was 80mil, the stuff they mix it with to freeze automatically brings it down by about 50%, then what is lost in the thaw, then the most & she only keep the very most motile ones, She said that number of 2.7mil is really common & fine. I feel better after talking with her as I was starting to think there may have been sperm issues, but looks like its just the freeze
My prog at 3dpo was 24, so she said i might as well take the 1500iu booster today. It was 28.9 at 9dpo when i was tested a few mths back so im happy where its sitting at this point before its peaked. My hpt are still faint today, so guess the booster is going to keep them that way for at least a few days

Well my appopintment on Thurs couldn't have gone an better. I had 1 follie on my right side and I had my trigger shot on Fri morning. So glad it is raining which means not much can be done this weekend which is good for lots of snuggles ;) Also a little happy about it as I will find out when we are on holidays if I'm UTD so will know before I go back to work anit would be a great xmas pressie as well.

AFM I'm out again this month, AF arrived 3 days ago, obviously disapointed but getting use to it by now lol
start IVF organising on Monday with FS appoint. Plan to hopefully start in Jan if all coincides with Xmas/ny hols. Doing last IUI in dec which will be our 4th. Don't hold much hope for it working but may aswell! Here's to a 2011 baby!! (only a year later than planned lol)

Just waiting, waiting, waiting here. Went up to sydney on saturday morning & just got home this afternoon so that was a good distraction. Being testing out my trigger still & todays was as faint as can be. Feeling some twinges but who knows, dont want to get excited as there has been a couple of months I was so sure I was pg by how i as feeling & I wasnt

Well no good news here, just crap did 2 HPT this morning and both were neg :( so IVF saving will be starting when we pay off our debts in feb and since my clinic is closing for xmas so no more cycles till jan/ feb next year. Which I don't mind as I as so want to just give up now. Sorry just having a crap day.

no good news from me, af arrived last weekend, 2 days early! At least she didnt take her time & get my hopes up. We miss the next 2 cycles due to xmas closure, so will be doing an iui when my cycle starts around end of jan & then onto ivf after that

I just have a quick question, and I'm hoping someone can help me. I am doing OI using Gonal F, ovidrel trigger and pregnyl luetial support. Friday I took the ovidrel, and since then I've gained over 3kg, and had period like pain and bloating for the past 3 days or so. Is that normal for ovidrel shot post Gonal f? I'm not sure whether to ring FS or not?

Bec, not sure if it is normal, but I became very bloated after the trigger and had small cramping and sore bbies for just over the week after having the trigger. Also don't know if it is related, but since being on the injections have put on 8kg in 5 months :( Hope this helps and best of luck waiting.

Hi everyone, I have loved reading your posts - it's been very helpful through the iui process.... i have had two unsuccessful attempts with iui -no stim drugs, except the trigger, and then a little 3 month break from it.
Going again this week! third time's a charm they say.. just gotta stop thinking every little twinge is "something" thru the two week wait!

We decided to sneak one in this cycle & will know next week but I am not hopeful - bbies feeling less & less sore as the days go on...
I honestly have no idea how im feeling, im in some weird emotional limboland. As soon as i feel a little bit hopeful, the thoughr of it not working creeps in and a just cannot bear that thought, im going to be shattered. So im just sort of ignoring the tww, whole its never far from my mind at the same time- i sound like a crazy lady now?????
Tomorrow is 8dpo. I have to have another hcg booster (i had one at 4dpo) so im going to start testing tomorrow morning, that way i can see how much of the last one is lingering and tgen see this second one fade out. I dont have my beta until 7th march

You are not crazy - whoa then I am too! lol I feel the same - I want to be hopeful & positive but am scared that if this one doesn't work the harder I'll fall so I am trying not to get my hopes up :( I wish we didn't have to do this :(
Beta not until Friday the 4th - I won't bother testing prior to that b/c I get false positives due to the booster
Yep i hear you, i wasnt going to test at all and had no tests but then a friend just gave me a bunch of hpt so i knew id cave having them so i decided to test the boosters out. I have no idea how long theyll hang around as my booster from 4dpo was still there at 10dpo last time - theres a saying we've got in another buddy group -****balls, just sums thisall up well

my boosters have faded down little by little each day, still super faint today so i expect af on sat
hey ya, I ended up cancelling the beta b/c AF showed up yesterday :/ So we have an appt on Tuesday with the FS to discuss going to IVF now. Probably won't be able to start until May as we have missed doing it this cycle & we are away in April..

We're on a similar time frame. Dh goes away for work next week for a month so next cycle is off, im going to make an appt with the fs to see if he thinks we should bother with one last iui before ivf or not (ive got questions about dh counts post wash)
So depending on what he says we will either do one last iui in april, then ivf in march. Or have march & april off, then ivf in may. Cant do ivf in april as with dh away we wont be able to do the ivf counselling in time for april
Oohh, we could be doing IVF at the same time then! (not sure why I am excited about that???!!!) You know I wish I knew what the damn issue is with us - sperm count after wash for DH was really good... I think I O PRIOR to AI though.....
Its so annoying not having an answer why. I think this is why im lokking at dh sperm as i need a reason, but ill see what the fs says. Our first sample was frozen so that caused it to be low, but our second fresh sample went down by 80% post wash when its meant to be around 50%. the one thing the makes me lean towards one more iui is leaving the same period of abstaining as we did for the sa where his count was 113 mil. I really hope the fs has a firm do this or that, i would just really like to be told what to do next as i dont have the energy to think about it

Well in the last 6 weeks I have lost 3.5kg and starting to feel happier than I have in quite a while, with not having the stresses on TTC. Dh and I went to see our fs last week to have a catch up with him since we haven't seen him since before xmas. We had a great chat about our plans and IVF. We have decided that we are going to stop everything until next year and I am going to work on loosing 40kg :pray: Our fs said that if we don't fall pg and have to go back to him that we can start IVF as soon as we go back and not have to worry about trying clomid and IUI first, which is a relief.
Well I wish you guys all the best and hope you don't mind that I check in everynow and again to see how you ar going.

Well done on the weight loss! I have heard only 5% loss of your body weight can make a difference to improving your fertility. I hope that you continue doing well with the weight loss - I am sure giving yourself nearly 12 months to lose 40 kgs is doable! FX you get a 'natural' BFP prior to IVF.
I am sort of on the weight loss track too, although I have a knee injury and it is preventing me on doing my usual exercise but I have been trying to eat well.
Garfield - Hope you are well & will pop in once we chat to the FS on Tuesday and let you know our plans. x

I was wondering if I could join this thread? I'm feeling a little bit lost because I don't have a 'home'. I'm not on clomid, not IVF (yet) and I'm doing injectables but without AI so it's basically the same as IUI but BD at home instead. Does that make sense?
